Instantly, I heard back from Keith to schedule a home visit. In the first week of January, Keith came by to do a look through. He was very kind and professional. Keith emailed my estimate within several days. Our bathroom remodel was scheduled to take 14 days, but it was completed within 9 days, which was good for our family considering we only have one bathroom. From initial contact throughout the project Jeff, HHR Supervisor, kept open communication with me every day. He kept me afloat on what they found, what needed to be done, what my options were. He was able to get everything completed in just a day and a half. He did all of the plumbing and electrical work himself. Lin was kind, hardworking, and courteous. He kept us informed throughout the renovation, from the initial estimate and planning process to selecting materials and appliances and completing the finishing touches. Even after we moved back in, he remained available to address a few minor adjustments that naturally come up after a major renovation, which we appreciated. The project was estimated to take about four months, and despite a few minor delays that were outside of anyone's control, it was completed within the expected timeframe. We did go slightly over the original quote, but that was due to the additional upgrades and changes we chose to make during the renovation. Ming, who manages the day-to-day work on-site, was excellent. He was organized, detail-oriented, and made sure the work was completed to a high standard. It was clear that he cared about the quality of the finished product and kept the project moving efficiently. Although there was occasionally a language barrier with the crew, it never created any issues. Everyone was professional, respectful, and courteous. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. My renovation consisted of a full kitchen & bathroom remodel, with tub to shower conversion. I contacted a few companies and received various quotes, some of which required me to travel to various showrooms to select materials which as a first time home renovator, seemed overwhelming. However, when I was contacted by William, he informed me he had previously done renovations in my building and was very familiar with how the management office worked, water shut off, elevator reservations, etc. MY Construction's showroom had all materials/samples in one place where I could put everything together and get a visual idea; he also had tons of photos of examples on his phone to show me. Can't say enough amazing things about William and his crew, not only did he keep me updated daily, but he also handled so many of the nuance tasks on his own, making sure I wasn't distracted at work or taking on any unnecessary stress during the project. (He even dealt with a cranky tenant who had been accidentally double booked by management for the elevator as well as installing all of the new appliances!) The communication couldn't have been better. On to the finished reno; it's truly everything I wanted and more! I am currently renting the apartment to a friend and he's had no issues with any leaks, appliance function, and he's also commented how stunning the renovation turned out! It turns out that she did the best job in properly scoping the required work, and the quote reflected that. She and her crew were efficient, communicative, did clean and expert work, and finished the job in the time promised at a very fair price that was well within scope. When you go thru an event that creates sudden home damage, it's easy to get desperate and choose a professional service in haste. While we were ultimately able to get a few quotes, there was a lot of "sales talk" and "more than the necessary scope" along the way. Aside from price, take time to think about the character and professionalism of who you may hire. I had a rather difficult job that I did not want to do myself. It involved a very small attic space…read moreabove the garage that was not insulated when the house was built. Because we had electrical conduit installed in the attic space for our photovoltaic panels and battery back up, we wanted to have it as cool as possible. I called Harry Oneha, owner of HDrywall to ask if he would be able to do the installation. He came out the day I called and gave me a very reasonable quote. He then installed the insulation within a couple of weeks. The installers were meticulous, covering the floors and walls with plastic. They used planks to ensure no damage to the ceilings of the garage. The height of the attic space went from less than 3 feet at the peak of the attic to zero where the rafters came down the ceiling joists. Despite that, they were able to get insulation into the rafters in all areas. Better yet, even though the attic was a very hot and confined space, the installers did not complain at all... they were actually very pleasant and happy. When they finished in the attic, they cleaned the garage completely and left "not a trace of debris". Generally, when I have a job done, I need to hire another company to fix and clean up after them... but not with Harry's crew! They were amazing. I am a rather OCD person, and if workers can get a good rating from me, that means a WHOLE lot! KUDOS and sincere thanks to HDrywall. I'd have them back to do work for me in a heartbeat!

Our 40 year old deck was badly weathered, with rotted wood and eroded support posts. Steps to the…read moredeck, located on the side of a hill, were termite eaten and rotted. H Drywall replaced rotted wood and restructured the supports. They also installed new wood floor on the deck, rebuilt the steps and repainted the whole deck and stairs with top quality primer and topcoat. Their work was top-notch! The carpentry was careful and done well, involving us in every decision. Talking to the carpenter was easy, and he was very knowledgeable and skilled. So also with the painter. Called these guys during the storm in a panic and they responded quickly and didn't push my repairs back. (Called a few other company's prior and they wanted to push back my repairs since I was only repairing two windows). They explained every step of the way and any time they ran into any difficulties from the previous installers they informed me of them and already had multiple solutions. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. Their work ethic and skills are truly unmatched, hoping they expand their services because I would trust them with any home repair.

I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. Nick was knowledgeable, personable and effective in solving my problem. I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors.

Trust, reliability and dedication. Amcor Construction well exceeded my expectations with my two bathroom renovations, kitchen flooring and popcorn ceiling removal. He got everything done in about 2 weeks and the renovations were flawless. I'm a very meticulous person myself and I know great craftsmanship and attention to detail when I see it. I don't know Aaron personally but through his work I could tell that he has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in construction. He gave me a great price too. I was very particular about certain aspects of the project and he made sure my specific requests were met without hesitation or unwillingness. I have inquired with other contractors about using pebble stones as my shower stall base and they told me that water might get trapped and it would be difficult for them to make the slope correct to make sure that their are no wet spots after showering to prevent mold growth. When I inquired Aaron about pebble stones, it was just a simple, "ok" response. He didn't mind doing more difficult tasks to fit the demands of his clients because he has the confidence, talent but more importantly, the expertise to do it. If you are looking for the best contractor on the island, Amcor Construction is the one to call. Please don't call yo' Uncle Mike, Cuzzin' Lou, or sister's boyfriend. No offense, I always love to help out my family and friends but if they are not experts, then it may or may not meet your expectations. We needed to fix our wall of our house because the bottom of the wall was damaged from rain over the years. Since we were going to replace the wall, we wanted to upgrade our windows from jalouise to sliding windows. Then we wanted to do a mini refresh for one of our bedrooms with new paint, new vinyl flooring, new door and install a ceiling fan. My daughter found a few companies on Yelp and they came to give us a quote and we decided to go with AMCOR Construction based on their reviews on Yelp. Connie and Aaron were very easy to work with it. From the initial consultation, the price quote and contract, scheduling, picking flooring and paint colors, was very seamless. They said the job would take 1 week and it did. Their workers came everyday, except on Sunday. They stayed the entire day, did not bother us with anything, just worked. The only challenge was communicating with them because they spoke little English. It was mainly to ask if they needed anything, nothing major. We could contact Connie or Aaron with any questions, they always responded right away. It was a very smooth process and we are so thankful and happy with the results! My 5-star review is very much in line with the other reviews he's received, so there's no reason to doubt my review. Amcor is a reputable business and people deserve to know it. I chose Amcor Construction out of the six companies that made proposals on our bathroom renovation project and they did an excellent job. They remodeled all three of our bathrooms, as well as some other work like widening a hallway entrance and adding an exterior door to the master bedroom. Our tenant moved out of our 1 bedroom 1 bath rental apartment, and we needed a total remodel. We are extremely happy that we found Amcor Construction. They were professional and easy to work with from the initial contact with them, to getting an estimate, in the planning of what we wanted, and throughout the actual work until the end of the project. Connie was so helpful in the planning process, was always available and gave advice with pictures of samples. Aaron is a hard worker, very knowledgeable and takes pride in doing a good job as if it was his own home. The remodel came out super nice and was done in a little over a week. Working with Amcor was such a great experience. Aaron was fast and responsive for the initial consultation. Our master bathroom layout was awkward and not functional, and he was able to provide valuable insight on how to best utilize the space while staying within our budget. I truly appreciated his expertise and honesty when it came to providing recommendations-some of which I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Aaron was also very receptive to my design ideas and vision, with open communication (even when it came to making slight modifications). All the contractors were prompt, professional and efficient- the team was able to fully gut remodel 2 small bathrooms within 3 weeks. I am super happy with the results, and I highly recommend Amcor! After being rejected by 2 other companies, saying that renovating only my shower stall was too small of a job, i was relieved that Amcor accepted the job. "No job is too small". Aaron did such a wonderful job communicating with me before and throughout the renovation, he showed me many shower stall styles to choose from which was nice. The work was done in a timely matter (they stayed till late at night and it was a weekend), the workers were very clean and tidy every day they came in and did work (which was about 3 days) and they were very respectful towards my home and wishes. Overall, excellent work and service for a very good price. I will definitely be returning to this company for future renovations. :) read more

Amcor construction company was a fantastic choice for my full home renovation. They provided excellent value with competitive pricing and a quick, efficient crew. Their team was honest and trustworthy, and I appreciated their dedication to the project, working six days a week to complete the job. I originally requested a quote on Yelp and they were super quick to schedule a consult. All the work I needed done was out of my price range, but after I was able to budget for it, I got two things done: replaced my shower floor and my bathroom flooring. Great communication, SUPER efficient work (I was quoted 2 days for the shower floor and it took 8 hours). I plan to use Amcor again when I buy another property. read more

The pricing and quality was so good that we decided to have our downstairs bath remodeled two weeks later. The workers are very considerate, very hard working and timely. I recently moved from downtown to Hawaii Kai. While moving my king sized bed, the movers damaged my newly installed wood floors. No more worries about wonky drawers that fall out or possible creepy crawlies messing with our utensils and dishes. Ours was an original 70's kitchen so you can imagine how dated and broken-down it was. Kalani and his specialists really gave our sad kitchen a huge update. We had everything done. From taking out a side wall with electrical running through it to new cabinets, tile flooring, and all new kitchen/pantry/living room lighting. Surprise surprise, on day one during demo, they found mold. Thankfully, took care of that issue. Then came our outdated electrical lines. They changed the lines and brought it all I up to code. Any questions or issues that arose, Kalani made sure to respond and provide solutions. Believe me when I say, older places come with a lot of hiccups so we appreciate Kalani and his expertise. We would definitely recommend Kalani and his star staff for all your construction needs. I can't say enough about how professional and hard working they all are. Quality work for more than reasonable cost. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful new kitchen!!!

Our condo has some pretty strict requirements such as putting them under Hy's insurance policy and getting everything approved. Josh helped us with the process, and got our condo on their policy quickly. After we signed with them, we did a walk through of our condo, they were very detailed in asking questions to understand what we wanted and were super helpful and patient with our many questions lol. They got rid of our all our popcorn ceiling, carpet, installed vinyl plank for our entire condo, as well as change out our bathroom vanities & mirrors, and made shelves for our bathrooms. It turned out even better than I expected honestly! Afterwards I remember looking up at our ceiling and feeling grateful of how smooth and well done it is and the vinyl planks were done beautifully. Everything was really meticulously done even down to the quarter rounds that line the edges of our flooring. Mr. He and his partner did most of the work, he was very communicative, professional and even did many little extra things for us around the house that my husband thought of later like installing shower/tower rods so everything matched, at a very reasonable price, he even painted our door for free! I honestly am so grateful for him, he's such a nice guy. They got everything done in timely manner too! Since we were trying to move in ASAP, as my son was gona be born in 2 months. We love how updated our place looks now compared to before and I'm so grateful to HY Construction and their quality work! Few months later our garbage disposal went out, and it wasn't an easy plug-in one to reinstall. They did that for us at a very reasonable price as well.
