William and the team at Ming Yang (MY) Construction are phenomenal! Kitchen remodel, 5 Stars. They helped us step out of the 70s and into something so much more modern. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. Don't think twice, book with MY Construction, couldn't be happier with the renovation they did on my condo!! My renovation consisted of a full kitchen & bathroom remodel, with tub to shower conversion. I contacted a few companies and received various quotes, some of which required me to travel to various showrooms to select materials which as a first time home renovator, seemed overwhelming. However, when I was contacted by William, he informed me he had previously done renovations in my building and was very familiar with how the management office worked, water shut off, elevator reservations, etc. MY Construction's showroom had all materials/samples in one place where I could put everything together and get a visual idea; he also had tons of photos of examples on his phone to show me. Can't say enough amazing things about William and his crew, not only did he keep me updated daily, but he also handled so many of the nuance tasks on his own, making sure I wasn't distracted at work or taking on any unnecessary stress during the project. (He even dealt with a cranky tenant who had been accidentally double booked by management for the elevator as well as installing all of the new appliances!) The communication couldn't have been better. On to the finished reno; it's truly everything I wanted and more! Supporting small business in Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawaii... When Kaneohe Bakery closed its doors in March 2021, I wondered what would take its place. There was a news article that stated Chick-Fil-A announced that this would be its second location on O'ahu, but the plans fell through. Driving past the building almost every day, I noticed a new sign: Ming Yang Construction. I finally stopped in and found a beautiful showroom! There were many samples of tiles, flooring, sinks, etc. The woman at the front was very friendly and the man came out from the back office to answer any questions I may have. Set out to renovate my kitchen and contacted multiple contractors looking for a one stop shop to do flooring, cabinets, lighting, painting and plumbing. MY Construction was the most responsive and it was obvious that they could do it all. Within 48 hours of meeting with them I had my initial quote while other contractors either ghosted me or farmed out the design to other entities. The project was started within a month and completed in 10 working days. The whole time the project manager, William, was responsive and his team would show up on time and grind out the work from 8 to 5. At the end the project we came up with a punch list and they handled it that day. Project done! The cost was fair and the quality of the work excellent. Ming Yang Construction did an excellent job renovating my kitchen. In less than a week, their crew demoed my old kitchen cabinets and installed solid birch hardwood shaker-style cabinets with plywood adjustable shelves, a stainless steel sink, and a beautiful quartz countertop. The price was reasonable, and the project went relatively smoothly from start to finish. I found the Project Manager, William Fang, very responsive and easy to work with. William quickly returned my texts, emails, and phone calls and always followed through to remedy any issues. His crew of cabinet installers also included a skilled plumber and an electrician. William and his crew were always professional, conscientious, and very respectful. I appreciated their attention to detail and the quality of their work. I am re-writing this review of MY Construction since it was censored, then deleted without my consent. I did not falsely accuse him of anything. I merely stated my observations and facts. He came to that conclusion himself. He threatened me with saying he has a lawyer. Here are the facts only: 1. Workers caused property damage and left without telling me. 2. I had to pay additional fees because workers ripped wall hanging, posters, etc, off my bedroom walls, instead of gently removing or covering wall hangings. It should have come off easily with care since I used 3M Command Damage-Free picture hanging strips on all my wall hangings. The damage was beyond repair, and David charged me additional $3000.00 to repair and paint walls 3. Committed theft of jewelry (missing) when dresser was dropped. Police report and claim with insurance filed. 4. Abandoned project before completion, both verbal and written contracts. 5. David did not get back to me as he said he would, with an estimate for additional work to fix drywall in attic. 6. He agreed to fix the deadbolt on the door he installed. As of 1/16/25, he has not done so. 7. None of the workers could speak a "lick" of English, making communication very difficult. No interpreter was provided on site. 8. David Fang did not answer texts and/or emails on a timely basis. He severed communication with me 9. He will not fix defective (rusting!) product he installed. He told me to return it myself, stating he will not remedy the problem. read more

I hired MY Construction as my contractor for a new kitchen. Although I purchased the cabinets and supplies from various places, having used this company before for all my bathrooms, there was no doubt I wanted to go with them again. From start to finish they are professionals. Timely replies to calls and emails, attention to little details and quality work all around. William, the project manager, is wonderful to work with. He goes the extra mile to look for something the project needs which for me was such a time saver and much appreciated. The workers show up right on schedule and are very knowledgeable in all aspects of the various tasks. Their clean up every day doesn't leave a speck of dust and/or material anywhere. What's also worth mentioning is of all the projects I've hired them for, the completed job was always done in way less of the time than quoted. MY Construction came to my place for a project estimate on May 17th. I was in contact with Will. I follow up with him multiple times. On my first follow up he said their architect is on vacation(May 21st). Then second follow up(May 31st); Will said he'll send the rough estimate on Monday(June 1st). As you can see by my uploaded photos, MY Construction is legit! Since we're getting older, getting out of the tub or stepping over the tub to get out is becoming more dangerous. MY Construction fully redid my bathroom conversion from tub to shower, shower walls, mosaic shower floor, vinyl-wood flooring, countertop, vanity cabinets, installed my lights and towel bars. They did all the demolition, installation, electrical, plumbing, and painted. There are a few things that you'll be glad to have planned ahead for, such as where you'll want each of your towel bars, what height you'll want your shower head, and make sure that you get a valve for your hand-shower. I'd suggest a pre-checklist. I shopped someone else, but MY Construction finished the job before the other construction company submitted their proposal. William, David, and the crew demo'd and finished my bathroom within a week. We're still doing minor touch-ups but have full use of our beautiful new bathroom. From the moment I was greeted at the door of their showroom, I had a feeling that we were in good hands. On the job site, the crew worked hard and cleaned-up every day. David and Leo were a pleasure to work with as they were truly professionals and experts at their craft. Their workers were very diligent, hard working, cordial and a pleasure to work with as well.
