We had a built-in hallway cabinet installed by Inspired Closets Hawaii and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. This locally owned company specializes in custom storage solutions, and their team really lives up to the name. They were professional, thoughtful, and so easy to work with. The finished product looks amazing and has added so much functionality and style to our home. In fact it's so seamless... wouldn't even know we put it there unless we told you it's an addition! All in, the cost came out to just under $4,000, which was pretty much on par with quotes we got from big box stores after including install etc. (the depth is only 10"... otherwise big box may have been cheaper if it was the standard 12"). Although it was slightly more, we felt much better supporting a local business that offered higher quality materials, better service, and a strong warranty. It felt like money well spent. The process was super smooth. They came out to our home to take measurements for free and brought a great selection of samples so we could start narrowing things down. After that, we met at their SALT Kakaʻako showroom, which is beautiful and very helpful to see things in person. That final walkthrough gave us peace of mind before placing the order. Kayla was such a pleasure to work with. She was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the design process. With Susan's support behind the scenes, everything came together seamlessly. They truly cared about the details and were quick to answer our questions or make adjustments. One small thing I might have missed in the planning process is that the cabinets are backless. I really liked a couch/murphy bed combo that I saw in their showroom. It was one of their Italian pieces. Sophia was a huge help and very easy to work with, I would highly recommend her. The reason I left a 4 star review was because of a lady who was the exact opposite of what I had previously experienced. When looking at multiple pieces and asking for prices, she eventually asked me "are you sure you're looking to spend that much? This is $26,000." Just the way she said it made me feel like I wasn't worthy of being in that store and asking for such expensive items. I was trying to work a way to buy that furniture because I really liked it, instead I was given an attitude response of "Why are you trying to make this fit in your home, it doesn't work with the measurements. Why don't you buy something that will fit." Now I understood the logic and can appreciate the advice, but the way she said it and her attitude really turned me off. I felt bad because Sophia was such a great help but I really didn't want to give business to someone who made me feel like I was below their average customer. We just have a built in cabinet installed in the living room. We could not be happier with the results. We contacted the company online and received their call back promptly. Melissa came to do a in-house visit and measurement and gave us a proposal with the design in 1-2 days. We made a few changes and every time Melissa returned with a revised design and price quote right away. From the finalization on the design to choosing the materials , the process was super easy because there is a comprehensive catalog with wide selections of the materials to choose from. It took a few weeks to order the material and the installation process was quick and smooth. Subsequent to the installation, my husband noticed a few deficiencies which are mostly cosmetic in nature. Nevertheless the Company offered to come in to fix everything promptly and they even changed one section of the cabinet and the base board. The workers who came in to do the work were on scheduled time and very polite. They made sure they laid down thick clothes on the floor to put their materials and tools so that there will be no scratch the floor. Afterwards they used the vacuum cleaner to clean up everything. No dust is left behind. The company offers lifetime warranty of their products and they go above and beyond to make the customers happy. Was getting quotes for a closet system and decided to reach out to Inspired Closets since they offered free consultations... I could not be happier with the results and their professionalism! I reached out online and was contacted immediately- I was paired with a designer, Melissa, who turned out to be absolutely amazing to work with! When she arrived, she had all her tools with her and samples galore, she made the entire process so smooth and pleasant. After a few days I got emailed a selection of renderings, and we met up again at their location so I could review materials and some layout samples they have in the showroom.. Everything with the ordering and installation process went exceedingly well. The email contact, the virtual and in-person consult with Lindsey and the installation with Chase and the crew went smoothly. All of this went well despite the whole COVID situation. Lindsey was so accommodating with our ideas and she was great to work with as she listened to our preferences and did her best to show us examples of ideas and tweaks to the design. She also gave us several configuration ideas that allowed us to see which way we wanted to go and what the cost differences would be. Soon after placing our order, we set an installation appointment. As I recall, it was 5 weeks between ordering and installation. The install team arrived on time and were clean and respectful through the whole process. This entire install took about 5 hours. The cabinet material is much heavier than DIY cabinets and while it is still particle board, they're backed by material defect warranty. We recently moved into a new home where the bedroom closets had built in systems installed, except the one that'll be our son's room. Such awesome service...from getting an estimate to the installation day! I recently moved and decided to invest in a nice closet system with drawers (due to not being able to fit a nice dresser in my small room). After Googling and Yelping different companies, I found Inspired Closets and was drawn to them by all of their positive reviews. I requested a quote through Yelp and Brent got back to me right away within an hour. After giving him the dimensions of my closet, he gave me a rough estimate on how much it would cost to do my small closet. I ended up going to the showroom the next week and met with him. He sketched out a few designs and I was able to see the different finishes, colors, designs, and hardware that they offer. That same week, I made an appointment to have Suzette come to look at my closet for a more accurate design and estimate. A few days later, Suzette emailed me the total estimate with the design(s) that she made for me. We emailed back and forth a few times to try and change things, but ultimately I decided to go with the hutch design with the deeper 19" drawers, along with short and long hanging rods. They require a 50% deposit before your install date, which was fine. They're very busy, so the first date they gave me for install was a month and a half after I put down my deposit. Brent and Suzette both made me aware of how long it would take though, so I was prepared to wait that long for it to be completed. After a month and a half of waiting, my install date finally comes! Hallelujah! Nate came right at 8:30am and got started right away. Super nice guy and he finished it by himself in about 2-2.5hrs. Turned out looking great and even better and bigger than expected! I chose the morning mist color. Their showroom is located in Waipio Gentry behind Zippy's and Costco area in the back industrial part of Waipio. Easy to find with Google maps and there's a few stalls up front. So excited about my new closet and happy that I don't have to live out of my suitcases anymore. I often find myself in the kitchen making a simple meal to share with family or a quick snack to enjoy with friends. Needless to say, I've tried to keep up a reasonable supply of provisions in my pantry that started as a converted den and quickly took on a hodgepodge collection of shelves that have accumulated years of this and that. Enter COVID and finding myself confronted with the madness the room had become day in and day out. Something needed to be done and I found myself looking for options on a closet organization system to put in. After a few calls, I found myself chatting with the team from Inspired Closets and after a rather quick consultation with Suzette, I felt I found the right team to work with. While we couldn't meet in person, the virtual session via Zoom showed what the space looked like and we were able to chat about what I envisioned the space to become. Suzette asked some rather simple, but thoughtful questions as to how I would actually use the space and what I wanted to achieve with the design. Taking some measurements with a handy tape measure and she quickly sent over a design concept that we talked about a bit more to refine and make perfect. The price might come as a shock, but after comparing prices to other companies I got a quote from, it was extremely reasonable and I would personally prefer to work with a local company that would support their work. It took a few weeks for the supplies to arrive on island and the installation day quickly came. So if you have to do some other work or cleaning out the room, remember the time flies by and it will soon come. I received updates through the time and felt assured the scheduled day would be on time and it was. The team came and were extremely professional. They arrived on time and quickly went to work assessing the space and taking a few confirmation measurements. Quickly started to unpack and went to work with the plan. The install went fairly seamlessly and they were quick to make a few adjustments as needed to make sure the look was perfect. They cleaned up as they finished and the room was neat and ready for its items to be returned the room. I Just got my closet installed today and i am sooooo very happy with it. I decided to treat myself to a professionally designed and installed closet system, 1 year after my husbands passing to make the task of clearing out his clothes just a little bit easier. I first attempted to go the Home Depot route and then I realized there was no possible way that I would be able to take this task on by myself. Furthermore, by the time I calculated the cost of doing it myself, it was not much less then having a professional save me the stress and do it for me. I worked with Melissa who was awesome!! Inspired Closets Hawaii will fulfill any closet conundrum! My parents are moving in with my husband and me. The rooms they will occupy didn't really have suitable closets. Just an empty alcove in both rooms. One would be their bedroom and the other an office/media room. We thought it would be an impossible task to create closets that would store all their clothes in one room and office/personal items in the other room. I reached out to Inspired Closets and spoke to Melissa. Explained how my parents were moving from a three bedroom house to a smaller 2 bedroom space. She said she can definitely help us come up with creative closets while keeping our limited budget in mind. Melissa came out to take measurements, discuss samples and get an idea of what the closets would be used for. She was punctual, professional, friendly and meticulous. We received the plans within a week. Met with her in Inspired Closets showroom (which was super helpful to see the product in person) to tweak the plans a bit. She took into ever possible scenario how the closets would be used, if the doors would open all the way due to a wall. In our case, we wanted to maximize the height of the closets. Melissa pointed out the split AC would be in the way for the upper cabinet doors. She suggested an open cabinet space we can use for decorative space. What a clever idea! The day of our installation, Al called to let me know they were on their way. He and his crew were prompt. There were four guys in total. I felt so bad they had to carry all the material to the second floor. But they never complained. They worked efficiently. They laid down moving blankets in areas to protect the floors and closets pieces. The attention to detail around the corners, and where they had to cut out for the baseboards is exceptional. They cleanly caulked each gap between the baseboards and walls. The closets and work area were cleaned. And when I say clean, I mean clean. Every single drawer and cabinet space was dirt and dust free! Al and his crew were friendly, respectful, hardworking, and professional. Al clearly explained the soft close drawers and doors, what to use to clean them, warranty and asked if I had any questions. Inspired Closets exceeded my expectations. We had a great experience with the team at Inspired Closets. Suzette met with us and took the time to understand our storage concerns and future plans. She quickly came up with design options that we loved and took into account the future needs of our kids. It was really helpful to see the 3-D rendering and have physical samples of the finishes and hardware. The installation was scheduled with enough time for us to prepare the closets- paint and add some lighting. On the day of installation, the team arrived on time and they were incredibly courteous and professional. The closets were both installed in a matter of hours and they were diligent about making sure the area was clean. The installation manager visited to inspect the installation and see if we had any questions, which was really nice. Our house is older with very little storage and these closets really make a huge difference. They really make it feel much more modern while adding a lot of value to the property. We are thrilled with our new closets! From first contact to final installation, we were delighted with the service and interactions with everyone at Inspired Closets. We worked with Lindsey who was quite patient during her initial consult with us as it was our move-in day. I explained exactly what we needed for 3 closets. I received a very prompt design plan for the closets that was pretty spot on for our needs. I needed one small modification and Lindsey quickly revised the plan.
