These installers showed up a little earlier than scheduled, but no complaints on that! I watched how they took time to protect our floors from any possible damage during cabinet install. TLDR; Went through C&C for countertops. On four different occasions, we were told the countertops we wanted were either out of stock after the fact or back ordered. I went in person during my breaks to check out countertops each time. What I saw "White Cloud" looked white in person. The name even makes you think it's actually white. I showed my husband pics and he wanted that one because it was a white. Once installed by our Contractor, we were wrong. It was CREAM! Didn't match at all. I was mad and frustrated. Short story; came here by searching Yelp before stopping by on my lunch break. Was interested in 'Bianco' and [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amber greeted me. I had to ask her if this was a "true white" because of our experience. I had to help my elderly in-laws in Oahu to fix up an old apartment from my aunt-in-law. My wife and I took a short trip to Honolulu to assess the situation and talked to/met with different contractors (all the high reviews in Yelp) earlier this year. In the end, after getting four competitive bids and discussed with the project designers involved, we were glad that we made the decision to go with Ivy at Ohana Building Supply. The project completed perfectly and on-time, far exceeded the high standard of both myself and my in-laws' (who're not easy to please). In particular: 1) Their price was very reasonable as compared to other bids' 2) Throughout the process, things had come up that we forgot to consider during the original contract negotiation, and Ivy would always take care of them despite extra efforts needed on her part, and without nickeling and dime us in the process. 3) She was extremely responsive and accessible, which helped expedite the process with timely discussions and decisions. Most of all, from design to completion, Ivy gave us numerous advices on what needed to be fixed, and what should be kept, so the project came well within our original budget. We had interviewed 2 other contractors to reface our existing kitchen cabinets and replace our counter tops. The bids came in astonishingly high. We decided to interview several contractors to replace our existing cabinets instead of refacing and replace our counter tops and island. Amber at Ohana Building Supply was, by far, the most helpful and patient. After several discussions and receiving the proposal we had no doubt that Ohana was the contractor for us. Not only was the bid fair, the materials were superior and the time frame to complete the work was very reasonable. The Ohana team were on time from the first day to the last. Progress on demo went very quickly. The cabinet install was seamless and we could see that they took careful time to ensure the cabinets were perfectly aligned and installed. Once that was completed the counter tops were measured precisely and they ensured our design concepts were understood. The quartz counter tops arrived and installed in one day! They did not hurry, they knew what they were doing. We had a beautiful quartz back splash installed and a custom built quartz window sill created. Customer service does matter! With the array of companies out there you have a lot of choices of contractors to select from for your remodeling needs. Looked at YELP and found Ohana Building Supply. Visited their Waipahu showroom and was greeted by Kevin. He was personable, pleasant, and took the time to really listen to our ideas. To my wife's surprise, I ended up putting down a 50% deposit to get measurements completed, materials ordered, and the project process started. Although, I know there were other companies out there to compare, it was Kevin's demeanor that solidified my choice to go with Ohana Building Supply. Got my written quotes. Scheduled the demolition and installation. In total, my home renovation project totaled 13 days. Each day, the installer came to my home and worked diligently. Installer was quiet and spoke some English, but worked really hard. Most of the coordination is done via Kevin so be aware of that dynamic. Kevin would drop by to check to see how things were progressing so there is ample opportunity to clarify things. Ohana Building Supply Review: Henry, Kevin, Ivy and Gary from Ohana Building Supply were a pleasure to work with. They do full bath and kitchen renovations. We obtained multiple estimates for a full kitchen renovation and their bid came out in the middle of all the estimates. They helped us through the whole process - from demolition to electrical to installing appliances - which took the stress out of the renovation. We loved the people, the quality of the cabinets (metal soft-close drawers/pullouts) with modern custom design and a very accurate detailed estimate (thank you Kevin). Kevin took us step-by-step and answered all my calls/texts. Everyone of their staff members offered excellent advice for us to consider throughout the process. We loved the cabinets and countertops that they offered. They custom fit the Magic Corner pullout. They installed a trash can pullout, 2 spice rack drawers and all of our bottom cabinets have pullout drawers. They created our new floor to ceiling pantry which also has eight pullout drawers, which makes access to items a lot more convenient. They built a custom cabinet to house our wall oven and microwave. They installed a nine foot quartz island to provide more seating around the island cabinets. To top it off they were able to pull off a great coffee/alcohol bar. Not to mention the relocation of a ceiling fan, all the new electrical switches, electrical work needed for the new wall oven, flooring and backsplash Henry and Ivy also kept tabs of the installers and corrected any concerns that we had. They were able to add additional drawers (no additional cost) to our pantry because we noticed space that was not being used. Everyone of their staff is friendly, respectful and hard workers. There is a slight language barrier and I was fortunate to be home and available for design questions that the installers had throughout the renovation. At that time, I was very satisfied and happy about the quality of their job, the very professional customer services they provided, and a very reasonable price. Last year, I broke two drawers by mistakes when I tried to clean them. I tried to have these two replaced, I went to Home Depot and Lowe's but neither would like to replace just 1 or 2 drawers for me. I was not sure if Ohana Building Supply would still remember me, and wondering how much these would cost me. Anyway, with my last hope, I called Ohana Building Supply, helped by Ivy Chan, she very kindly helped me in finding my contract with them 10 years ago, replacing 2 drawers and one cabinet door (which had a unique style and material that they no longer make), all with a very fair price, and in a timely manner. I feel very happy and satisfied with Ivy's service, very kind, very professional, fair, thoughtful & decent, thank you Ivy, and thank you Ohana Building Supply. I needed a simple plywood wall cabinet fast! I didn't want to get one of those particle board cabinets from Home Depot as they always fall apart. I did a stop at Ohana building supply and they had a nice showroom. I picked out a 15" wide cabinet, chose my color, got a filler piece, and that was it! In 10 minutes my order was placed.
