TLDR: These people are FANTASTIC at what they do, and trust them to get the work done. My family and I have been thinking of a kitchen renovation for several years but were hesitant due to the scale and potential cost of a project like this. Beyond Builders and their staff were communicative and understanding from start to finish! In our initial meetings with Josh and Tomoko, they carefully listened to our desired outcomes and focused on staying within a set budget we were comfortable with (cuz economy's tough y'know?). Once the contract was signed, 3D designs were promptly drafted which gave us several options to choose from, they guided us through obtaining required items for the material list, and once everything was ready a start date was set. They were very patient with us, we never felt rushed, and our desired outcomes were always prioritized. Junior and Ming were the leads on the renovation portion, and MAN do they work efficiently! They said it would take two weeks, and they finished in two weeks. One thing I appreciate about their crew was the communication on progress and collaborative questions. For example, before installing handles on the cabinets they would ask beforehand how we'd like them placed. They always made sure it was being made the way we wanted. At the end of the renovation, the kitchen felt like something out of a movie set. As you can tell in the attached pictures, the before pictures (green, walled) and after pictures (open, white countertop) is night and day. They were doing such a good job that I had to request a change order to install a new vanity in our bathroom to replace the old one haha. All in all, Beyond Builders was a pleasure to work with. If you're considering Beyond Builders - don't. I'll start by saying we were able to reach a resolution in the end with this company. But it involved months of delays, back and forth, and ultimately escalation to the CEO himself. Read on for more if you're interested, but the bottom line is we do not recommend this company. Working with Beyond Builders was a deeply frustrating experience. Poor communication, missed meetings, and unprofessional conduct plagued the entire project. What should have been a straightforward remodel of our home to prepare for rental dragged on for months. The lack of follow-through, security, and quality control was unacceptable. From the start, we were misled on design options and left to manage key decisions after work had already begun--without promised design support. A verbally promised discount wasn't honored, despite being used to pressure us into paying in full. There seemed to be no basic record keeping on the project - not even proper invoicing. It seemed like every meeting we had to remind the project manager what we were even having done. Staff we were originally working with left the company without word, not honoring agreements that had been made. Project oversight was chaotic. Meetings were missed or rescheduled last-minute, materials were installed without approval, and basic punch list items were ignored or misrepresented. We were locked out of our own home multiple times, keys were left unsecured under a watering can, and windows were routinely left open. Personal items were damaged or discarded--despite clear instructions. We were left with a defective lock system that took three visits with the project manager to fix. These weren't minor inconveniences--this was a cascade of problems from start to finish. read more

It was a living nighmare, mistakes with the redo of the bathroom, the walls are not level, wrong size vanity, leaks from the shower head. They came back 3 times to stop the leak. Mistakes with making the deck. Nothing was done right. Poor craftsmenship, bad cuts, used the wrong stain on the wood. Its a mess! There's no way I can recommend this company. You are making a big mistake if you go with this company. My problem was I didn't take picture in the beginning. Take pictures if you go with this company. They don't do anything correctly. From our first meeting with our construction project manager, Frank Vasquez, we were impressed with his expertise and knowledge. Our salesperson, David James told us it would only take two weeks, which we found, hard to believe. Frank helped us navigate the purchasing and delivery timelines for our appliances, flooring, cabinets, counter top, sink, etc... Everyday Frank's workers, Daixin You and Xuantao Lin were at our door at 8AM and worked straight through the day until 5 or 6PM, always being very courteous and polite. Frank checked in with us everyday, either in person or phone to make sure we were aware of each step of the project. I have to say, that they surely exceeded our expectations, finishing the job in just 6 days! Of course, I have passed the information on to many of my friends, who are all thinking of doing renovations, and who could not believe the efficiency and professionalism of the work. 6 DAYS FOR A TOTAL KITCHEN! From demolition ( a total gutting of the original kitchen) to a whole new room was an amazing feat! Of course, I don't know, if every team at Beyond Builders is a great as the one we had, but I'm sure if others find out about Frank Vasquez and his team, they will be requesting them. They certainly went above and beyond to make sure our wishes were met. Frank helped make every decision we had to face, painless, explaining our options and assisting us to get the look we desired. We are so thankful for the amazing job they did for us. We will definitely use them again, if we we decide to do any further renovations. Zai was our project manager and she was terrific. The work that her crew did was perfect, if a flaw was noticed it was repaired no questions asked. The main crew man was named Ming and he is very talented. It was a rough beginning and took 8 months to get started because of the project manage, who is no longer a project manager. Once the demo and work began the communications continued. The contractor, Jun, and his workers all worked so very hard at completing the project. They were very neat, conscientious, and thorough. The work I had done was a tub to walk-in shower conversion. It was a costly investment, for me, however it was the best estimate for all of the work I wanted done. We had our bathroom renovated in our condo. Their quote was reasonable and their promised timing was three times faster than the other quote we got. They met their timing and the job was done with very high quality. Everyone involved was super professional and a pleasure to work with. After they finished the bathroom, we expanded the job to a small renovation in our kitchen which was not easy to do and involved some tricky technical issues. This is the final review of our eleven month reno. Unfortunately, based on all of the problems we encountered: @ Master shower did not slope to the drain and had to be redone @ Paid to level the floors, but the floors had to be ripped back up as the floor was not level in the lanai area @ Guest shower leaked into the bathroom floor and had to be redone @ Guest shower door was broken and had to be reordered = delay @ Many construction defects that had to be fixed = delay @ Unqualified employee was removed from the project @ Unqualified project manager @ Both showers were suppose to be the same. Just recently noticed that the guest shower floor is different and we were never told. I guess because they had to redo the shower floors so many times they ran out of the original stone. @ We purchased our cabinets and countertops through Home Depot because Beyond Builders said they had a relationship with them. Ordering from Home Depot was a HUGE mistake as Home Depot sent the wrong kitchen cabinets many times AND they delayed the counter tops. I BECAME SO ANGRY AS HOME DEPOT WAS NOT COMMITTING TO A DELIVERY AND THE PROJECT MANAGER WOULD NOT CANCEL THE ORDER SO I COULD USE A LOCAL COMPANY. Finally, when the designer returned from vacation in Japan, the order was cancelled, and I immediately went to a local company and selected what I wanted. Within a week or two, we had the countertops. This was a huge delay. We have lived through many renos and building of new homes in our life. Unfortunately, this was the most painful reno and it did not have to be this way, if the right people were on the job. Requested an appointment to determine if Beyond Builders could do the job consisting of replacing exterior planking and window framing, requiring two story work and care with custom sized glass. Second job was to replace a plexiglass roof and framing over a bathroom. Took several back and forths with email to nail down an appointment. The person responding took no measurements nor notes, but one picture with a camera. I knew from the inspection that he could not provide an estimate at all, and he did not, and did not say he was not interested nor could not do the job. Nothing said, no followup. Poor. Amazing, we love our home now! Before we hired beyond builders we had hired another company we had found on yelp. Was even a company that is listed as "Yelp guarantee". We have since learned if there isn't a verified license things can go horribly wrong. What was supposed to be angle valve replacement and maybe a bathroom shower area turned into a nightmare. My house was completely destroyed! I went on a search for licensed companies I had reached out to over 7. Only 3 companies got back to me. Beyond Builders being the first company that scheduled to come and give an actual quote. From the start of even the first meeting with David it was a great vibe. He listened, gave feedback and was just smooth/easy to talk to. (Other companies we had met with after would only focus on one part of our home that needed to be fixed.) Was told we should expect a quote within a day or two... we got it same day! After going over the quotes and overall first impressions it was a no brainer. We contacted David right away to say we choose you! The next day we got a contract and full layout of the plan for our project. Step by step. Soon our project was underway. If I could tell you how many times from different people, working on different aspects, of our project were in such disbelief about how horrible our house was messed up from that previous company. You would probably laugh. While we did have a few hiccups along the way, David was there to make sure that I was happy and satisfied with how everything turned out. With a quick call or text if it was when he wasn't there. He made sure to stop by and see how it was going nearly every single day. Also want to give mention to some of the awesome people that worked on the project: Roman, Chasen and I fail at remembering the last set (but those two did the amazing tile.) David has even made sure to reach out after the project ended to make sure everything is great and if I was still happy with the results... which of course I am! What started as a company destroying my home to a company making it better than new and for roughly the same cost as unlicensed contractors, my home is definitely 5 stars. Beyond Builders actually were the only ones that were very responsive. I spoke to Rachel and immediately she was so helpful. She did not waste my time but she made sure to take the time to ask me and get all the information she needed to get me to the right Project Manager. She got me set up for a free consultation and quotation with Ido. About 2 days later I got the proposal and quotation and was so glad to see the amount, their pricing is very reasonable. Tried getting an estimate from this company they did come out at the beginning of July. Around 7/19/23 I asked them if they were sending an estimate they told me by that Friday I would have it. Its now 8/7/23 and still havent heard back. Disheartening as a home owner not being able to even start work on anything. I have recieved estimates for foundation, plumbing and electrical work but was looking for one company to do it all plus some remodeling. Not sure if my budget wasnt big enough or scope of work wasnt worth it but hopefully the next person has better luck. 8/10/23 Beyond Builders has reached out to get the situation rectified. An issue had come up with our previous estimator and Josh was sent to come and view my scope of work. He showed up on 8/9/23 and returned the following day with his concrete guy take dimensions of the driveway and the downstairs bathroom floor where the drain lines need be replaced. I appreciate Beyond Builders for taking the time to fix the original misstep that happened with the first estimator. Josh has been great going thru the steps of the new estimate. read more

Everything from day one to project completion went well and smoothly. Day one meeting Kevin (Sr. project manager) Maya (designer) explaining what and how we wanted things to be and when we wanted the project to start due to vacation plans were not a problem for them. Maya kept in contact with us via email and in person to show products she selected and was receptive to our wants and made changes as requested. A couple of weeks before project start we met Carlos (site project manager) we sat and discussed how and what we wanted and the start date, and he explained to us what to expect during the renovation. On the project start date Carlos introduced Ming (project foreman) and his crew and the project started. Workers were polite, friendly and courteous. All through the project if they had a question on how we wanted something to be done they would ask. They cleaned up everything daily, they advised us when they were done for the day and advised when they were returning the next. Upon completion of the project Ming asked us to inspect the project and area to make sure everything was as we wanted and cleaned as the day the project started (it was actually cleaner). Final inspection with Carlos went really well, deficiencies he and I noted were fixed on the spot, deficiencies noted days later were corrected within days. We haven't finish our project but it is moving along and throughout this process, Ido has been working closely with us.
