The men at Fu Long Construction are exceptional contractors. They're reliable, on-time, have great attention to detail, and went above and beyond our expectations. We had a leak from the Kona Low storms and had damage on our master bedroom wall, and first floor ceiling. The repair was completed ahead of schedule and we could not be more pleased. They replaced the drywall, texturized, and painted the ENTIRE wall and first floor ceiling, not just repair area. In addition, they installed a new ceiling fan in the master bedroom and a new chandelier in the family room where the ceiling was damaged Wow! It looks like we have a whole new wall and ceiling!!! Customer service was excellent from the moment of my phone call to the completion of the work. Called for an estimate on some work I wanted done. The first thing Pan will tell you is how soon the work can be started. He does not string you along like some other companies. Pan was busy so he said he will send Ting. Ting arrived within the hour. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she provided suggestions on what could be done. She even showed me pictures of items I could choose. Ting was on top of everything. If she was not there, she followed up with her crew through phone calls or pictures. She also made a final inspection to make sure everything was to my and her satisfaction. The outcome was more than I expected. Thank you to Pan, Ting, and her crew for the excellent work. I have found my "go to" contractor. read more

We just had Fu Long Construction renovate our master bath and we are happy we used them. We found Fu Long Construction through Yelp. We did our due diligence by checking with the Better Business Bureau, Regulated Industries Complaints Office, DCCA Professional Vocational Licensing and the BIA to make sure there were no complaints or red flags. We found the reviews from people who used them very helpful. We met with Pan and told him that our home was built in 1960 with single-wall construction. Pan said that his construction company was familiar and has worked on other homes with single-wall construction. Our bathtub had a leak and because the tub surround is original, it would have to be replaced. Instead of just changing out the tub, we decided to do a complete bathroom renovation so that we would be able to "age in place." Pan looked at everything we wanted to have done and gave us a reasonable estimate and a timeline of 2-3 weeks, which was within our budget and timeframe. Our project started four days after the proposed start date due to his workers having to work on another project that was running behind schedule due to the rain the week before. When the crew started our job, they came every day. There was one day when the assigned worker called in sick so no work was done that day. They made up for it the next day by having two workers come to catch up. Our project was completed exactly 2 weeks from when they started. The workers of Fu Long Construction are very hard working, they are punctual, respectful, neat and friendly. At the end of every day they cleaned up their work area and collected their rubbish to take with them. Most of the crew did not speak much English but fortunately, the older workers were paired with a younger worker who did speak and understood English. I would use the younger worker to communicate with the older worker if there was something we questioned. If we had any pressing questions or concerns, we would text or call Pan and he would either text back or he would show up at our house to address our concerns. Working with Pan of Fu Long Construction was not like the horror stories we've heard other people having with other construction companies. We were impressed with Pan's professionalism and our bathroom renovation was a pleasant experience and our bathroom turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! read more

We are very pleased with our renovation project and feel fortunate to have found Fu Long after many unsuccessful attempts with other contractors. Excellent responses from Pan at Fu Long construction anytime we had questions or concerns made it very comfortable to work with them. All concerns were taken care of immediately. He was very fair with what we, as homeowners bought for our renovation and deducted it from our total bill if it was an item that they were to buy. Pan was very easy to work with and small changes were made during the construction phase without any problems. His concern was always homeowner satisfaction. Communication with Pan and Johnny was awesome. Additionally, the timeline for our project was right on schedule without long delays and the communication regarding days they were not on site was great. . It turned out beautifully, just as we imagined. read more

We are so pleased with Pan and his team's work at our new home. During the home buying process, Pan and his electrical subcontractor (Bin) quickly mobilized to visit the house and provide a quote on the extensive electrical rewiring work that would be needed to make the home move-in ready. We ended up getting the house and having Pan and Bin do the work, in addition to other renovations. The team worked hard to complete the job over the holidays so we could move in during January, when our lease on our rental unit was expiring. The quality of the work and communication was great. The team checked in with us at critical decision points like the direction we wanted the tiles arranged and ceiling fan height. We are so pleased and will definitely consider Fu Long for future renovations. read more

Pan, Ting and their team, Fu Long Construction are absolutely incredible! We wholeheartedly recommend them and plan on using them for our kitchen and other bathroom in the upcoming year or two. All elements of the job were top notch and we have worked with a number of contractors from California, Minnesota and Hawaii. PRICING - Excellent, reasonable pricing for the incredible work they do. TIMING - Our bathroom actually finished earlier than expected. COMMUNICATION - Their team communicated with us quickly and effectively. Oftentimes, we would get responses within the hour, even on weekends. We didn't expect this given the job was during the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's holiday. PROFESSIONAL CREW - Very professional, respectful, and safe crew, which was very important to us given our little ones would constantly run around the house going through the different rooms. Finally, the WORK - The work is a complete replica of what we had put on our dream board. Every detail from the larger tile placement to the small grout lines were done with exceptional care and painstaking precision. It was like they were creating their own bathroom. We cannot wait to work with them to continue renovating our very old 1940s house and updating it for the 2020s! read more

Great work with windows replacement, flooring, and kitchen cabinets. Friendly, hard working workers. Great value!

Wanted our master bathroom redone with not a lot of space. Pan let me design it and produced outstanding work! Professional! Quality! HONEST! Other companies quotes were 50% higher that Fulong's just because we live Hawaii and the construction cost are extremely overpriced. I recommend using them for any job!!!!!! read more

Pan, Johnny, and the rest of the team at FuLong provided great service that helped make the renovation process smooth and successful. From the very beginning, they were very helpful in finding a nice design that maximized our space while working within our budget. They always made time to address any concerns and even came out to fix an issue late one night during a thunderstorm. They were very easy to work with and always available to answer questions. The results on the build were great and now my family has a nice new house to enjoy! Mahalo FuLong Construction! read more

We bought a property that was newly renovated by Fu Long and discovered COUNTLESS quality issues with SO MANY THINGS. Fu Long was the prime contractor for the vinyl floors throughout the house, a brand new bathroom renovation, and a new kitchen renovation to include installation of appliances. The property was vacated, renovated by Fu Long, and sold immediately after renovations were completed to me. First off, the cold and hot water for the showers were flipped so we had to call a plumber who informed us that they were installed wrong. Since there was a warranty, we called Fu Long about a stove that was not working. Two personnel showed up and informed us that we had to call the appliance company. After calling the appliance company who sent a repairman, the repairman informed us that the stove was not hooked up correctly. There are numerous gaps throughout the house between the floor and baseboards, and now, the vinyl floorboards are separating. A couple months ago, the floating shelf that they had installed ripped clean off and i discovered that they anchored this large floating shelf INTO THE DRYWALL AND NOT THE STUDS. All my stuff came crashing down and broke. I cannot even reach them to fix these issues because the warranty has run out, which means I have to pay out of pocket for all this. It has been a huge headache so I do not recommend this company. read more

We just completed a partial remodel of my home, adding an ADA compliant bathroom, upgrading current bath, and replacing stairs/lanai areas in front and back. After receiving quotes from a few companies, I decided on Fu Long Construction and was able to get everything on my wishlist done within my budget. Contractor Pan stuck to the agreed upon cost and services, with the exception of a fire code required addition of sliding window and moving of an outdoor faucet. Pan is a perfectionist and noticed things that were subpar, ensuring that they were corrected before the final payment. Besides cost, the greatest advantage with going with Fu Long is the amount of choice you have in the selection of materials. With May's (project manager) guidance, I was able to pick out everything for the bathrooms from tiles to toilets to cabinets and accessories! Ming (the head of construction for my home) was hardworking, respectful, ever so patient, and a skilled master craftsman. I'm amazed at what he and his crew could accomplish! Although you might anticipate a communication problem due to language barrier, Ming speaks English and more complex requests were addressed promptly and pleasantly through May. Just stay involved and the process will go smoothly. Yes, the projected timeline was extended, and yes, most of it was due to building permit delays. If you want quality at a reasonable price and aren't pressed for time, you won't be disappointed with Fu Long Construction. My family is making great use of our new and refreshed spaces, big thanks to Pan and his team. read more

We hired Fu Long Construction at the recommendation of my realtor friend, and they came in at the lowest bid of 4 contractors. The first thing they did was lay protective covering of my floors to change an upstairs bathroom tub to shower. They took 9 days which was longer than projected but did an outstanding job. My handyman who is quite critical said it was quality work. The contractor always promptly answered my calls whenever I had a question. We are more than satisfied with this contractor and can recommend him with absolutely no reservations. read more

Pan and his team did an amazing job with our bathroom renovations (plus some other additional jobs)! All the ideas we had in mind came to life. They were easy to work with and whenever they encounter any set backs, Pan made sure the solution is on its way. He gave us a quotation just by texting him photos of our bathrooms! And what made us hire them is that they gave us a very reasonable price that fits our budget. If you are concerned about COVID, all of the workers wore masks the entire time they were working. They finished both bathrooms in 12 days...just in time for the holidays (this was back in December 2020). Me and my husband were very satisfied with the outcome and we highly recommend Fu Long Construction! read more

I was referred to Pan by a friend's realtor, for my bath and kitchen remodel project and I had a good experience to share. I interviewed a couple of contractors, Pan is easy to work with, the proposals are reasonable and fit my budget. The crew showed up on time, worked diligently, and even stayed late to complete the work sooner than expected. I really appreciate that. I liked the fact his crew has different specialties under the one umbrella for different tasks so I didn't need to stress myself out to coordinate different subcontractors. He came in for the final walk thru and noticed some small details he didn't like (I was fine with it) and had his worker to come in on weekend to correct it. That stood out to me! read more

We hired Fu Long for a kitchen + living room renovation. They did an excellent job, and in a timely manner. Pan Was easy to communicate with and excepting of all our ideas. I wanted a couple arched entryways, bay window, move the original kitchen to another side of the room, drywall and paint. They also moved a wall over to make a room bigger, and installed our appliances and electrical lights, outlets, main box. They made it all happen. I would just say that the bay window turned out a little differently than I imagined it so make sure you let them know the preferred look of everything. I can't remember the exact timeline that it took but it was very efficient. They were transparent with all the pricing as well. All of the subcontractors were friendly. There was one who helped install the cabinets and had great ideas on placement of handles for the modern look we were trying to achieve. God pricing, highly recommend. read more

Excellent service and quality work. We had seen Fu Long Construction's work at a home in our neighborhood and noticed that their good work was completed in a short amount of time. We asked that Fu Long bid on building a custom ADU on our property. From the very beginning of our experience with Fu Long, the lead contractor, Pan, was extremely responsive. He has an incredible team, subcontractors and associates; starting with the architects. As the building progressed, every person that came on the property was diligent, friendly and did excellent quality work. Everyone worked so hard too, getting on property at 8am, and working to pau time at 5pm every single day. Pan's knowledge and experience showed through on everything that we designed resulting in a smooth and successful project. The entire job came under budget even with little tweaks here and there. We had heard horror stories of contractors not showing up, or after they were paid, not coming back for some fine tuning. This was not the case with Pan and his team. Even now with the building complete and permits closed, Pan still follows up to make sure we are happy. We highly recommend Fu Long and Pan for any remodeling or construction needs you may have. read more

I read such excellent reviews of this company, so, on the recommendation of a realtor, I decided to have work done around my condo. Pan seemed like a really nice, responsible person and I'm sure if I got to know him better, I would definitely change "seemed" to "is." However, I never got the chance. He is not good at responding and had to be messaged too many times to do so. This is a real deal breaker for me. It's just really rude and inconsiderate. If I'm going to spend money on expensive projects, I would like to at least like to be responded to, not ghosted. BTW I got one of the jobs done for $200 LESS than what was quoted by Pan. read more

Pan and his team came highly recommended by a colleague and did an excellent job remodeling our home for a very fair price. What started out as a few small projects (replacing an exterior staircase, tile floors throughout, etc) quickly became a full blown renovation including a brand new kitchen, bathroom, windows, painting, air conditioning, and shiplap throughout the living spaces, to name a few. Pan gave straightforward advice and always kept our best interests (and wallet) in mind. My 2 bathrooms were so long overdue for a renovation. Outdated from the original when my townhouse was built in 1986! Shopped around and got 4 estimates from several companies . I hired Pan at Fu Long construction because he was very prompt in responding to my emails/ texts and gave me a reasonable proposal that was within my budget. Pan is also very professional and accommodating. I had to delay the start of the project by couple weeks so Pan worked with me on the timeline. He also came with me to Home Depot and explained the different tile , paint options. Having. renovations done during Covid was pretty stressful , not to mention all the dust! Pan was made aware of my concerns with Covid safety and keeping my place little less dusty . Lin, his worker , did an incredible job placing plastic on my furniture and hallways to keep my place free from dust flying everywhere,. They also kept their mask on during the whole time. When the project was completed, they cleaned everything from inside to my balcony and porch !! I was so happy when I came from work and I got my house back! Pan"s worker Lin worked really hard 6 days a week! Although Lin didn't speak much English, he was able to use a phone app to communicate with me and /or I'd text Pan , and he'd get back to me right away. There was some last minute changes, and a transition piece that was for the flooring , and I was worried it wouldn't match from the bathroom to the hallway... but Pan came through! and got that piece stained to match the hallway floor , and made it work! I'm very pleased and happy with their work and customer service from Pan. I've already recommended my friends and family to Fu Long Construction. read more

Thank you Fu Long Construction! My wife hated the walls in our apartment. The walls were vertical brick from the 70s which looks like old government buildings. We were also looking at expanding our kitchen and installing tile on our bathroom floor. We contacted multiple contractors. Each contractor gave us estimates, timelines, or suggestions that were not to our liking. We had to chase many of them for quotes. I heard about Fu Long from a friend and thought we'd give them a try. Pan was VERY responsive. He got back to us right away and quickly gave us a quote we could work with. He met with us multiple times to pick out paint, materials, and counter tops. It was helpful having someone to walk us though rather than going by ourselves and trying to match colors and tiles. Pan brought in a team that was quick and efficient. Within days, the ugly walls were covered up and in 2+ weeks the project was basically finished. The end results were outstanding! There were a few problems with supplies and materials but I kind of blame it more on the pandemic and Pan's communication with us quickly fixed the problems. Overall I would highly recommend Pan and Fu Long Construction. read more
