Was looking for a contractor for my kitchen and 2- 1/2 bathrooms renovation. Found YG Construction on Yelp. They had good reviews and Kai was really efficient and very easy to work with. I wanted my kitchen and one bathroom to be completed by a certain date (I converted my bathrooms from a tub to walk-in showers). Kai and the crew actually finished it ahead of schedule. The second phase was done about a month later. End result, complete makeover. Any flaws or defects, I would point them out and no problem, it would get corrected. Work crew are hard workers, very good at what they do, respectful and cleans up after themselves. I thought overall price was reasonable. Highly recommend. Very happy with the end result. read more

It was such a blessing to have found YG Construction, Ming and Kai for our condo reno. There were a number of condo restrictions (especially floor sound abatement requirements) that made the reno challenging. In fact, several contractors that we approached either did not want to submit a bid or were priced sky high. Our only regret was not having found Kai and crew earlier. We were doing a complete renovation of a 20 year old condo that we recently purchased. The reno was especially challenging since there were a number of wall modifications and rerouting of electrical and plumbing lines. Kai and his dad, Ming, were easy to work with. They constantly went beyond what the contract called for to satisfy what we wanted. Kai offered great advice when we were at a loss about what to do. When there was miscommunication on an issue, Kai was quick to correct to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail was the best: extending walls where necessary, adding rounded ends of all wall extensions, matching our color scheme, adding a soffit to hang pendant lights, ensuring everything was aligned correctly, including the cabinet doors, drawers and countertops. There were several things that we wanted done that were not conventional or easy, but Kai and his crew did it all with no problem. We were lucky to have found YG Construction to do our reno. We definitely would hire them again. In fact, another resident of our condo came over to see what Kai and his crew were up to. I cannot say enough positive things about Kai and his guys. Kai walked us through our whole house remodel. He met us at stores, explained the differences between a variety of products (an overwhelming task when renovating an entire home) and would give suggestions when asked. He took into account our specific property when giving design and material ideas, to ensure it worked with our environment and our home needs. Kai is incredibly meticulous and only accepted perfection by his guys, to the point where my husband and I would say, "na! It's fine. Don't worry about it. It really looks great!"
