The project was estimated to take about four months, and despite a few minor delays that were outside of anyone's control, it was completed within the expected timeframe. We did go slightly over the original quote, but that was due to the additional upgrades and changes we chose to make during the renovation. Although there was occasionally a language barrier with the crew, it never created any issues. Everyone was professional, respectful, and courteous. They kept the work area as clean and organized as possible throughout the project, treated our home with care, and were mindful of following the association's rules and guidelines. A full home renovation can be stressful, but Kai, Ming, and the YG Construction team made the process much more manageable. While no renovation is completely without challenges, they were responsive whenever questions or issues came up and worked with us to find solutions. The second phase was done about a month later. End result, complete makeover. Any flaws or defects, I would point them out and no problem, it would get corrected. It was such a blessing to have found YG Construction, Ming and Kai for our condo reno. There were a number of condo restrictions (especially floor sound abatement requirements) that made the reno challenging. In fact, several contractors that we approached either did not want to submit a bid or were priced sky high. Our only regret was not having found Kai and crew earlier. We were doing a complete renovation of a 20 year old condo that we recently purchased. The reno was especially challenging since there were a number of wall modifications and rerouting of electrical and plumbing lines. Kai and his dad, Ming, were easy to work with. They constantly went beyond what the contract called for to satisfy what we wanted. Kai offered great advice when we were at a loss about what to do. When there was miscommunication on an issue, Kai was quick to correct to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail was the best: extending walls where necessary, adding rounded ends of all wall extensions, matching our color scheme, adding a soffit to hang pendant lights, ensuring everything was aligned correctly, including the cabinet doors, drawers and countertops. I cannot say enough positive things about Kai and his guys. Kai walked us through our whole house remodel. He met us at stores, explained the differences between a variety of products (an overwhelming task when renovating an entire home) and would give suggestions when asked.
