The whole process was smooth and efficient, and the finished product is perfect, as if nothing had ever happened. The second time was purchasing ceramic tiles for the shower wall of my parents' condo during their building-wide plumbing replacement. Again, I wanted to match the existing shower walls (possibly from the 80's) and although a perfect match was not possible, the ones we chose are very close and look great. First time meeting him, we knew this would be the person we would like to have to do our flooring. During this time, we ordered the flooring and all the materials needed (baseboards, T-molding, etc.). Pami, did an awesome job in breaking down the estimate and the square footage for us so we knew how much flooring to purchase. She was always able to respond to my emails that very same day. Usually within a few minutes. And we appreciate just how friendly and responsive she is! The quote was broken down nicely so you know just what you're paying for, and we appreciated that. There was no hidden fees or anything sneaky. The pricing is very reasonable for the amount of work that Jack does for the project. Jack's quality of work is outstanding. He's very meticulous and has pride in his work. His attention to detail is also excellent. The job site is very clean. He protects items and every day after leaving, cleans up. Marek was responsive to initial calls and quickly scheduled an appointment. He came to my home for the estimate, his knowledge about flooring and detailed conversation about the topic set him apart. He examined the carpet and thought he could feel uneven concrete, so he told me about it and possible remedies so I wasn't suprised once the carpet was removed. He provided an estimate promptly. He was straight forward and came across as honest and dependable. We had lower cost estimates from others, but went with Select Floors because of the interaction with Marek, we felt the job would be done right. He also gave me insights and where to purchase good quality flooring and specials companies were having. SCHEDULING: Marek was up front and detailed on how long the flooring would take. He told me what he had on the books already and gave me options for scheduling the work. We picked dates immediately and we were booked. Very smooth. He also picked up all the materials for me for a nominal fee. WORK DAYS: Marek arrived each day exactly on time or early with his son. His son is a hardworking, polite, nice, knowledgeable man. They make a great team. They removed the carpet; repaired/removed uneven leveling from the concrete and then leveled the floor; installed underlayment; and cut and installed the vinyl, T-molding and quarter round. Both Marek and his son did an OUTSTANDING job, they were efficient, professional, and did great work. They communicated with me along the way and answered questions. There were no surprises, Marek discussed price upfront and the pros/cons of each decision on the floor. The final job, which was suppose to take 5-6 days finished in 4 days because they worked hard every day 8-10 hrs/day and didn't even leave for lunch. Solid professionals!
