Our interactions with Select Floors, specifically the owner (Marek) and his son were GREAT! I will detail the experience: INITIAL CONTACT: We were looking to replace the carpet in our home with vinyl laminate flooring. We contacted 4 flooring installers for quotes. Marek was responsive to initial calls and quickly scheduled an appointment. He came to my home for the estimate, his knowledge about flooring and detailed conversation about the topic set him apart. He examined the carpet and thought he could feel uneven concrete, so he told me about it and possible remedies so I wasn't suprised once the carpet was removed. He provided an estimate promptly. He was straight forward and came across as honest and dependable. We had lower cost estimates from others, but went with Select Floors because of the interaction with Marek, we felt the job would be done right. He also gave me insights and where to purchase good quality flooring and specials companies were having. SCHEDULING: Marek was up front and detailed on how long the flooring would take. He told me what he had on the books already and gave me options for scheduling the work. We picked dates immediately and we were booked. Very smooth. He also picked up all the materials for me for a nominal fee. WORK DAYS: Marek arrived each day exactly on time or early with his son. His son is a hardworking, polite, nice, knowledgeable man. They make a great team. They removed the carpet; repaired/removed uneven leveling from the concrete and then leveled the floor; installed underlayment; and cut and installed the vinyl, T-molding and quarter round. Both Marek and his son did an OUTSTANDING job, they were efficient, professional, and did great work. They communicated with me along the way and answered questions. There were no surprises, Marek discussed price upfront and the pros/cons of each decision on the floor. The final job, which was suppose to take 5-6 days finished in 4 days because they worked hard every day 8-10 hrs/day and didn't even leave for lunch. Solid professionals! OUTCOME: Absolutely love the floors, the workmanship, and overall experience. I've done varying degrees of remodels in the past and this was one of the best experiences with a contractor. I called Marek and his son to do our floors. We replaced the carpet and the existing tiles in the kitchen with Luxury Vinyl Tiles from Wisteria Lane. From the beginning it was a little challenging to get approval from our Association due to the influx of applications pouring into the building. Once everything was approved, Marek and his son took about 5 days to do the job. Everything worked out well because we had to move in right away and they did an excellent job with leveling the ground in the living room. Besides the LVT, they also installed t-molding and also installed the base boards around the unit. I am very pleased with the work they did. read more

We recently purchased a home and did some quote shopping as we wanted to remove all of the carpet, vinyl flooring and tile that the home came with and replace it with LVF. We got two quotes for our demolition and installation work and Marek's rate was competitively priced to the other flooring company. What made us go with Marek was that even in his quote process he took his time to methodically measure the size of the job and stayed after to answer all of our questions while the other company only took a brief glance at our place. Select Floors replaced carpeting in several rooms in my home with engineered wood flooring and I am very pleased with the results. Marek and his son Lakshman are talented craftsmen and good communicators. They were very respectful of my home and cleaned up each day after they were done working. After the carpeting was removed, we discovered that the sub-floor underneath required attention before the new flooring could be installed. Marek thoroughly explained the problems, the cost and alternatives so that I could make decisions about how to address the situation. The project also included floating stairs which require a talented flooring installer. Marek explained how he would tackle them and offered different alternatives. I took his recommendation and the results are awesome. I used another installer for a wood floor in a previous home and thought the results were OK.
