Sorry but it's a long but worthwhile review. I really don't like giving bad reviews since it can really affect a business. But I felt I needed to in this case. I called Anytime Handyman to come out and replace 2 damaged doors and install 2 new doors. I sent a text message to let Tyler letting him know my lock box number since it's a rental and no one will be there to let him in. I gave explicit instructions as to which doors needed to replaced. (it was obvious because of the visible damages). He sent me the estimate, I agreed and paid for the doors so he could order it. They went back to the rental, and installed the new doors as planned. Here's the prolblem, they took off the wrong door (not damaged) and put the new door on. Leaving the damaged door still damaged. That's not the end of it, the latch was not installed properly, it had a hole and crack. As for the other door that they installed, there was also a problem, the strike plate and latch were off centered and wasn't closing properly. I called Tyler to tell him the wrong door was removed and replaced, and sent him a snap shot of the text I sent him when he went out for the estimate, explaining which doors needed to be replaced. His answer was, that's not how he interpreted it. Everything seemed to be wrong with the job. From the wrong door being replaced, to the damages to the door and the other door's latch not closing properly. He said not to worry and it's normal it's not a problem, just let him do his job. Now I'm no handyman but I do know how to install a lockset, and I've never seen a hole of that size, nor did I ever see a strike plate and latch installed at an angle. In Tyler's defense, he did say if I'm not happy he would give me a new door. But at this point, my trust with their quality of work has diminished. Not even a new door would make me continue to do business with them. I will take that loss, and stop all remaining repairs with this company. Update: I read the business owner's responses to my review. First of all, the "so called Painter's" was my daughter and son in law who came over the weekend to help paint the doors, only to find the damaged doors and discrepancies on the other door as well, including the wrong door that was removed. I would have no reason to damage these doors that I had already paid in Full upon completion on Weds. Lastly, it speaks volumes when a business owner would illegally break a homeowner's right of privacy and send photos to anyone requesting it, without prior authorization. Anytime handyman just completed fixing our broken gate post. Kai was punctual and courteous and quickly assessed the problem. Said the post was missing some butterfly screws. He replaced the missing screws and realigned the post against our cement home siding and the. Noticed the fence was not properly aligned at 90 degree angle he had to make some adjustments to the fence and removed a plate at the top allowing the gate to close tightly. They were super responsive when I inquired through Yelp. They did, however, miss my appointment and had to call them to see if they were showing up. The person who answered didn't mark it in the calendar so he forgot our appt. He did recall or communication through Yelp and was very apologetic about forgetting. He said he could send someone the following morning which I was grateful. The guy who came fixed our kitchen cabinet that fell. He had to fix the dry wall to secure it since it had fallen from the initial anchor. He worked diligently and it actually took him a few hours to complete. I was satisfied with his work. It ended up being over $500 but he worked for about 3.5 hours. It was higher than I thought it would be but he had to go buy supplies from Home Depot and you have to pay for the supplies and mileage. I would use this place again as I appreciate the promptness of the company responding to my inquiry. I had contacted 5 others and only one other responded. I don't have time trying to hunt down people and scheduling months later so this worked out perfectly. read more

Tyler and Isaiah just left our home as I am writing this. My husband initially contacted Anytime Handyman to install an AC unit in our third floor apartment window. He got quotes from other AC companies and would have had to pay almost double what we ended up paying with Anytime Handyman. Anyway, due to the nature of the job, he needed to schedule a second visit to complete it. The second visit was scheduled in a timely manner. I was only present the second time and my husband present for both. Tyler and Isaiah were extremely professional, personable and did great work in a surprisingly short amount of time. Tyler was upfront about all costs and plans to finish the job. He also gave instructions for maintenance/ cleaning and offered options for disposal of our old AC unit. Alert: the owner is gonna comment this is a phony review but it is NOT!! New guy was left alone for a two person job. I was asked to help- how ridiculous is that? New guy called boss for support but got rejected. Owner promised to come but never show up. New guy promised would finish within three hours and rack put back in as original, but finished in six hours and both wall and rack got damaged. Now I need to replace on my own. Be alert- the owner gonna say I changed the request- it's a difference between drilling on the frame vs on the wall. How inflexible are they?Regardless- the new guy couldn't have completed the job on his own for either of the two options. I asked him to choose!! The boss could have come to support but refused. Anytime??? Are you kidding me? They can't even do that for their own guys. The owner will say they charged two hours for a six hour job- but handyman putting three shades up IS a two hour job, three max with two handymen or a more experienced handyman. If you want a shitty job done dragging for hours with YOU helping them out, and owner yelling at you on the phone, go for them. You get what you paid for. Should have checked the negative reviews first, my bad. Communication was great with Tyler; he was always super quick to respond, even on the weekends. He and Alex worked with us to make the AC installation fit our desired specifications, which I really appreciate. The work that Alex did was top notch all around, and his attention to detail was impeccable. The pricing was fair compared to a few other services. Sure, there are cheaper options out there, but some of them don't know how to run a business (no shows, no calls back, etc) - this is NOT them, at least not from our experience. Alex showed up exactly on time and worked diligently until the project was completed as I requested. He's a super cool guy, to boot. I agree with the 4 other bad reviews. The good reviews are probably fake. !Do NOT do business with these people!! I began communication with the owner, Tyler, on Weds last week. Gave measurements and photos of closet doors that I wanted from Lowe's. Closet door was to be installed Monday 9am. No show at 9am. No call, so I called. Tyler said that they were on their way. I had to call again and they said they were seven minutes out. 9:50 am Michelle and Sean showed up just to measure and left. Shawn said they were very busy and may be the job to get done on Wednesday. I explained to them that I made the appointment on Thursday to get done Monday morning 9 AM 10:04am. Tyler call to say he got the measurements and that he needed to go get the doors and hardware. I thought this was strange because he already told me everything was loaded and on its way to me. I needed help installing (2) security doors on my house because my husband and I didn't have the time to do it ourselves. I reached out to a few handymen and Tyler messaged me within an hour with an estimate, which was by far the most reasonable out of the many estimates we received. The money was well worth it. The workmanship Alex did when he came was great. The doors were sturdy and installed better than I expected. I didn't want to pay for a wooden frame to be added so the security door handle is opposite of our main door handles which is fine. I thought I'd hate the look of it, but after seeing it in person it wasn't too bad. And when it comes to my house, you know I look at EVERYTHING. The installation of the doorknobs on the security doors also came out great! My husband also asked Alex if he would be able to install our garage gym that we purchased a month ago (because of course, we didn't have time to install that either haha). Without hesitation he agreed to do it same day and built it quickly. Alex built it a lot quicker than we would have. He built the gym itself first, measured out where the studs were, then mounted the gym to the wall. It was pretty smart if you ask us. I needed my tubs to be caulked and Tyler responded to assist me within 24 hours. Isaiah Vibbert called me 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment to tell me he was on his way. Isaiah came on time and preceded to outline what needed to be done and provided me with a quote, which was in line with what was quoted. He completed the job within the time frame that was outlined and he did a great job of cleaning up my main bathroom but could have cleaned up my other bathroom a little better. The Job was to replace two sets of Levolor cellular shade blinds on a single headrail. Replacement blinds were brand new. Old blinds were only three years old but were ragged. Abe was the handyman and he made short work of the first one in about 15 minutes. The second one was problematic and it just wouldn't fit right. After about 30 minutes of trying he had an aha moment and realized that one of the brackets from the original install was in the wrong place. He reinstalled the bracket and voila it popped into place. Key takeaways. 1. The original install was faulty, which in turn led to a pull cord being frayed by the bracket rendering it useless. 2. The space available between the two walls where the blinds went left nearly zero wiggle room for adjustment, but Abe made it happen. Happy wife. Happy customer. Price was fair. Before I provided the receipt, you said "you never did contact us". After I provided the receipt, you said you were able to find my file. However the file you found is not true. Alex was about an hour late. He also said to cancel my appointment since it was not easy finding a parking spot. My apartment is in Waikiki. Isn't it expected parking is crazy in the area, nonetheless to say, I mentioned he would need to find a parking by himself. The work - set up a screen, fix bathroom light, fix an outlet - was done poorly. The screen was loose after a few months, the light was off as well. I had to hired another group of people to fix them. The experience with Anytime Handyman was bad. I would never hire them again and would not recommend them to others. We purchased a shed and then realized it would need a base, the construction of which which I felt was beyond my capabilities. We reached out to a few handyman companies and after receiving a quote that was a lot higher than anticipated, we checked in with Anytime Handyman. Not only was their quote significantly less, but the final cost came in well under their estimate, too. Time will tell how well everything lasts, but looking things over and using them, everything has impressed us. If there was any downside, we did have one scheduling snafu where I thought we had scheduled a date and time (which was a reschedule after an emergency), but nobody showed. I hesitate to mention it because I've been having other work done on my home over this year and this is a fairly common problem with virtually every company I've worked with thus far - and with some companies, it's not a one-time thing. In light of that, it doesn't change my overall rating. The lesson to me is to communicate confirmation, and consider confirming again just a few days out from the scheduled meeting. We're living in hectic times - give people some slack, and it's OK to double check to make sure everyone is on the same page. TL;DR: exceeded expectations on cost and work. They're on my list of companies to use for home improvement and I'll be reaching out to them again in the coming months for more projects. Highly recommended. read more

You should definitely pass on this service company. They do not know what they're doing. They were supposed to repair a door window gasket and replace a metal security door. He charged me for 6 hours and didn't finish the project. He left the door frame damaged for the existing screen door and my back door window not installed and bent my frame. When I complained he denied it and he sent a different worker for the project so he obviously didn't see the damage even though I sent pictures. Caused more damage. Oh and the worst part, didn't return to finish the job and completely ignores my calls and texts. read more
