It was a pleasure working with Shelby at Pacific American Lumber. I was searching for some solid surface countertop material for my home renovation and stumbled across them. Prices were extremely reasonable, delivery was free, and customer service was top notch. Shelby kept me up to date on when my product would arrive on island, when it would be at their warehouse, and when it could be delivered. When the day came the delivery guy was super helpful in giving us a hand to unload the slabs. I highly recommend these guys for all your solid surface countertop needs.

There are gaps like this throughout the flooring.

Be warned! We purchased around $10,000 worth of flooring from these guys. Within a month of installation it began to separate. To be fair, the company did try to work with the manufacturer to get this straightened out, but once the manufacturer said they were not going to help, Pacific American Lumber bowed out. They even stopped replying to our emails. So, we're stuck with a floor that is worse than the one we replaced. This was a purchase we saved for several years to make. There was no warning prior to our purchase that this flooring would not work in our home. So, those of you that live in a home were you don't run the AC 24x7, be warned and watch out, Pacific American Lumber does not stand by their products, and you could be out big bucks, like us!

The best place for hard wood and flooring . friendly staff

    Ua Floors monkeypod

Great place with an excellent variety of flooring choices to choose from. We checked out several Oahu flooring outlets, and wanted good quality at a good price for our choice of engineered wood flooring. I had seen a neighbor's solid wood flooring buckle and warp after a significant water accident, so we wanted the improved stability of engineered (layers) wood flooring, which also handles Hawaii's humidity better. Engineered also has a factory finish already installed, which is often better than the finishes installed after installation. And it is REAL wood which you can always tell, as compared to laminate or vinyl. I must admit we did not visit here first, as Pacific American's web site makes it appear as if they're real fancy folks who just cater to rich people who already know what they want (my faulty impression). But when we arrived that first time, we were greeted in a friendly manner by the office staff downstairs off the warehouse, then escorted upstairs to their showroom of wood choices. Joseph Pozo greeted us and helped us, as we looked at the zillion choices. We zero'd in on Koa and monkeypod, and ultimately chose the Ua Floors monkeypod for its beautiful variety and colors. Cost was maybe $12K for our 1200 square foot job, or about $10 per square foot. Add around $8K for the installation by our contractor and you know what the total was. I compared that to the cost of installing top quality carpet with a good pad, and the cost was within $3K, and as we got sick of always dirty carpet that faded and buckled and smelled... Wood was a no brainer for us. Now let's see if I can figure out how to load a picture of the floor... Good luck with your flooring project!

Wood from Pacific American Lumber. Contractor Elmer Bueno from E. Bueno Construction, the perfect combination.

It is now on Waiwai Loop right next to the rail station and Lagoon Chinese restaurant. They have a few parkings in front of the store. Once you enter the store, I was like "wow", the display are so nice. There are so many choices, everywhere you look, it is like a dream bathroom or kitchen display. The people who work there are also very helpful. I showed them the video of my toilet valve issue. They explained to me the steps that I need to do to change the valve. They even bring out a sample valve to show me how to do it, such information helps me a lot when I do my repair instead of reading through the manual. If you need bathroom stuffs, this is the place to go. They also have plumbing services, but it will cost me $100 to have someone change the valve for me. Since I did valve replacement before, I end up just do it myself. Go check this place out.

FIVE STAR rating to Jeff, Keith and the crew at Hawaii Home Remodel!…read more I contacted HHR at the end of December to receive an estimate. Instantly, I heard back from Keith to schedule a home visit. In the first week of January, Keith came by to do a look through. He was very kind and professional. Keith emailed my estimate within several days. Our bathroom remodel was scheduled to take 14 days, but it was completed within 9 days, which was good for our family considering we only have one bathroom. From initial contact throughout the project Jeff, HHR Supervisor, kept open communication with me every day. He kept me afloat on what they found, what needed to be done, what my options were. Jeff and his team were very detailed and the level of work they did was beyond superb. I'd like to send my all my aloha and much mahalo to Keith, Jeff and their Hawaii Home Remodel crew for their expertise and hard work over the past 9 days. You brought our outdated bathroom up to 2026. My COASTAL MODERN bathroom dreams have come true! P.S. so, when's our next project??!?! : ) HIGHLY RECOMMEND Liz Martin & Family

I left a message to make an appt with a specific sales person, Kiki. Of course, no return call to schedule an appt (this issue seems to be a chronic thing in the comments) I so happen to have the day off on a random Wed so I stopped in and the receptionist was not helpful. After browsing for about 1hr, as I was leaving the store, I was approached by a friendly sales lady (not Kiki) but by then I was already turned-off from this place. I passed by Kiki in the store but she did not acknowledge anyone's presence except for her client; not a good impression as she was highly recommended to me. The items are nice but seem overpriced for Kohler stuff. I'd recommend they be a little nicer to walk-in customers. I used to buy at Home Depot but recently, I went with a friend to buy appliances and the wait time was so long. We had to take a number and wait so long only to find limited inventory. When our washer went out, we needed a replacement and fast. Pacific Kitchen and Home -located in Best Buy, had a pretty good selection and so we bought a washer. The problem though was scheduling delivery. We had to wait over a month. Last week, we bought a dryer and the delivery wait time, although long, is not as long as before. We bought the Total Tech Support plan which was a bit pricey at $179, but it offers a longer period in which you can return an item. Normal return time is 2 weeks but with the Support plan, we had two months, which allowed us to return the washer we bought (too big) for a smaller one. The plan also has a price match which gave us additional money off since there was a Black Friday special sale on the washer we bought. I also liked that Best Buy had more low-tech options for washers and dryers. This time we bought a Maytag washer and dryer, smaller, without all the bells and whistles. And much cheaper that the electronic models.

I came this time around for a washer/dryer combo. I had tried a couple other suppliers first, and everywhere is out of stock now I guess because of COVID. It took probably about 10 minutes to get a customer service rep's attention. Then they proceeded to try to sell us a bunch of stuff that we didn't need. By the time we had a chance to talk and made clear the models we wanted to check on, they said that they would check on it being in stock and get delivery scheduled. While waiting another 20 minutes, we decided to look up the current reviews online. Turns out it wasn't in stock, and we wasted over half an hour of our day for no reason. Based on the online reviews, it sounds like it's a good thing that we didn't work with this company.
