We knew we wanted a couch. We knew we didn't want to spend $2000. When we entered, I saw a salesman and approached him. He introduced himself and answered a couple of questions I had. I told him we would be looking around and would find him when we needed him. He said take photos of anything we liked. Turned out to be excellent advice. We found the couch we had been searching for! The price was right. Saw an armoire that was perfect. Two pieces and we were set. Tommy was at a desk with a customer but he spotted me from yards away and told me he would be just a moment. A moment later we went through the process of making our purchase. Tommy was efficient and so friendly. He found the discounts we were entitled to. My mom was looking for a new sofa and she found the one that she wanted here. We walked in and the showroom is really nice. They had a lot of different ones to choose from. It's two levels and we checked out both. We looked at the ground level first and worked our way up. She liked the one on the bottom level, so that's the one we purchased. The whole store was 10% off for Statehood Day. They also give a 10% military discount. You can't stack the discount though, so we just got the 10% off. We were helped by Van. He was really nice and the transaction took about 10 minutes. We paid at customer service. This is only the showroom and they don't carry any stock here. We had to pick up our purchase from the Cs Wo Service Center, across the street from Target in Salt Lake. read more

I'll start with my gripe: I bought nearly $10k in household furniture for a small apartment which is not a lot. For the price I paid, the quality was lacking. My furniture has many chips in the stains & has broken now countless times. The Isanti bed I waited on for months didn't survive one month before breaking. I cannot blame this on the store, as it is definitely the manufacturer. As my grandfather would say, "They just don't make anything like they used to." During the week of Thanksgiving, two of our chairs had broke. On one, the back had snapped off entirely. With plans of hosting Thanksgiving in our new apartment, of course it had distressed us, however, Jeremy came to the rescue. It was obviously a very busy day & Jeremy quite literally sat aside his many tasks to take us on & made sure that we were provided with the utmost of superior care. My first time here actually and it won't be my last trip either. I didn't realize that Home World was a connection to Red Knot. Red Knot is basically like the sister who buys the same outfit she saw in the window of Neimam Marcus and gets it from H&M! Prices are reasonable and affordable without sacrificing style, quality, and functionality. It is fun, more contemporary in comparison to Home World. Service from the team was very attentive and helpful. They greeted us immediately and when we had a question they knew their product knowledge. We also appreciate that they aren't pushy sales people nor do they ignore you when you tell them that "We're just looking!" The location seems small, especially since Home World takes a big chunk , but there's a good selection to see. If you can't find what you have in mind, ask them, they're happy to assist. read more

Where to begin, we purchased a new dining table ours was old Japanese style from our old home and we needed something new and modern for our new home. Natalie was one of the easiest sales person that I have ever dealt with. She was tentative to what I was looking for and processed my request swiftly. Even honoring my refund she did so well...no but, if, or can't. I was disappointed with the miscommunication that customer support and the delivery department were not able to resolve. So I decided to withdraw my purchase due to the lack communication. We'll see when my refund process will take place and hope there will be no issue with them honoring it. I have been shopping for home furniture for months and had visited every Ashley/Homeworld on the island with little luck. The stores are so big and overwhelming and when I would ask for help someone would just point in a direction or act as if I was bothering them by shopping there. I finally went to the Ward location and met Andrea and she was beyond helpful. She knew exactly what I was looking for and found us a gorgeous bedroom set. When I went back a few weeks later, I learned she transferred to the Red Knot Bertainia location, so of course I went to that store instead and she once again helped us choose a beautiful sectional sofa for our living room. Why is it so hard to find cool, contemporary, quality furniture in Honolulu? The pickins are slim. Only Pacific Home for the high end. No West Elm for the middle. No Ikea for the affordable end. Only over-priced, cheesy, China-made, bachelor pad pieces that will feel outdated in a year from Red Knot & Inspiration; over-sized, heavy pieces for tutu's Kahala House at CS Wo, and over-stuffed man-cave pieces at Home World. I did not have a good feeling about this place. I walked around the store for over 30 minutes, and no one asked if I needed help. Very different from HomeWorld Furniture and C. S. Wo & Sons where at least there were a few salespeople who asked if I needed help even if a few other salespeople acted snobbish. While I was browsing, a very thin well-dressed woman in her 20s walked in, and was helped immediately by a salesman. I didn't realize I had to be a waif in her 20s to be assisted by the men who work at this store. There isn't that much of a selection there anyway. Way overpriced. Inspiration (which I also problems with in terms of customer service - that review will be coming up shortly!) has better deals if you go during a major sale. read more

I recently used Red Knot to buy furniture for a new condo on Oahu. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, particularly with the sales associate who helped me (Earl). I stopped in to Red Knot HNL with the intent on getting everything I needed for the new place, particularly large ticket items like a bed, mattress, etc. I ended up choosing everything I needed from their in-stock selection and was able to get delivery scheduled for just 1.5 weeks out. The delivery guys came exactly on time and were super courteous and polite. They set things up in record time. Turns out one of the tables I bought got damaged during transport; it was small so I brought it to the store in person that same day. They replaced it without questions. During the entire process I had also changed my mind a few times with purchased items and called or stopped in to change my order. Earl always made this go smoothly and even had paperwork ready in advance to speed up the process. I cannot understand some of the negative reviews posted here, except maybe they just got bad luck. I'm someone who demands and expects superior customer service as a "norm", which I felt that Red Knot certainly did for this experience. I would recommend them as a viable modern furniture option with good prices and great customer service. read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior, Red Knot is full of modern, urban, fun, and affordable furniture and accessories. We picked a couch, a cute little two-seater for $499. Delivery is an additional $100, we opted to pick it up at the warehouse in Salt Lake. But what really seals the deal for me and the reason why I had to review right away is the the hand written note I received in the mail from our associate Stephanie. Not just a generic response, but really a note tailored around the small talk we had while being helped. Coming from a hospitality background, I really notice the small service touches and Red Knot gets it right. I look forward to buying my next piece. read more

One thing nice about Home World/Red Knot is when you walk in, you're greeted by a sales person who asks questions and tries to help you out. Some customers find it pushy but we had a very nice and knowledgeable salesperson, Susan. She listened to our requests and looked around the store to find the best options for our family. We were looking for a kids dresser with a modern look. Susan was able to find us a great dresser with a great price. It actually was on sale so that made it even better. Overall, our time and experience with Susan was really relaxing and not pushy at all. Very informative and lots of options for us to choose from. Our family usually goes to "Inspirations" for our home furniture but we were surprised with the updated furniture, options, and pricing at this location. I bought the 5-piece Seymour sofa sectional and just had it delivered today. I had been looking for a modern, low back, reasonably priced sofa sectional for over a year. Looked at many sofas at several stores (online, mainland, and local). I had my eye on a sofa from a store in Chicago but the shipping costs kept escalating and they weren't very cooperative in letting me use a 3rd party shipper.. When Red Knot opened last year, I saw the Seymour. I didn't totally love the fabric. I liked the color but wanted a velvet or softer fabric. The Seymour only comes in one fabric choice. After a few months of waiting, I finally bought it last week. Red Knot had a 20% off sale during the President's Day weekend. Unfortunately, the Seymour wasn't on sale. But $2K for a 5 piece sectional is not too bad. Delivery is an additional $100. The salesperson, Honey, was very helpful. She answered my questions and let me browse without hovering. Delivery went smoothly except that the deliverers came a little early. I was given a 2 hour delivery window a few days prior but the deliverers came 15 minutes early. I'm quite disappointed when I strolled into Red Knot the last two times. The first time I went a while back, there were a couple salespeople and I had really good customer service. However, I had been eyeing out a sleeper sofa and the last two times I've been back have been disappointing. There seems to be a lack on of salespeople around. One time, there was a lady that was taking a smoke break outside when I walked in, but she didn't acknowledge me or anything. Yesterday I decided to check out the Tent Sale and same situation. No one around for a good ten minutes. I saw a lady around and asked if she worked there. She said she did but wasn't a salesperson and called for a salesperson. After coming from INspiration, Red Knot was like a breath of fresh air. The furniture was sleek, modern and minimalistic. Nothing was covered in white or red leather LOL. There might have been but I didn't see it. We were looking for bedroom furniture, accessories and possible bedroom furniture for our always growing 3 yr old. We bought some nice stuff and Saito - who worked with us was really helpful and not pushy. I would highly recommend coming to Ashley/Red Knot over INSpiration just because 1. you'll get service 2. they have nicer things 3. they have cookies when you come in. Purchased furniture in the beginning of April and they said the delivery date would be August. Fast forward to August and they said it's taking longer than usual check back in September. Gave it until October and he said it was in they just needed to get it out of the shipping container but I should expect it by the end of the month. Waited and waited and waited for an email or phone call but got neither. It's Nov 1st and I had to reach out to THEM. They told me it's going to take ANOTHER MONTH and hopefully I'll get it by the end of November. OR I can spend $140 and go through a third party delivery company. The lack of professionalism and the constant lack of communication is very upsetting. I understand that with covid things take longer, but don't tell me it's coming in August when it really didn't arrive until October. I could've watched a YouTube video or enrolled in a "build a table" master class and learned to build my own table faster than they could deliver the one I purchased. read more

I went to Red Knot as soon as I heard there was a new concept store that was similar to IKEA! And my experience was wonderful. I believe my associates name was Anson. He didnt follow me around like normal sales stores normally do. He just knew exactly what I wanted and showed me everything that was similar. I wish I couldve bought something from him but everything I wanted was out of stock. I made him move around almost the whole store just so i could see what my living room could look like. On another note. The store was very different very modern. Some pieces I believe were very retro not as modern as the store should uphold. But overall as a store I would say very different, and something Hawaii desperately needed. I think we are all tired of getting big ol sofas it is time for a slim look. When I finally flagged someone down, I was given an excuse about how she was just walking through and actually worked in another part of the store. Liars who just want your money. I purchased a sofa and coffee table from Red Knot. The salesman told me he did an inventory check prior to purchase and that both my items were in stock. I told him that was perfect and went ahead with the transaction. When the delivery people arrived at my new place, they did not bring my coffee table. I was confused so I called my salesman who didn't reply to me until the following day. He ended up telling me that my item was on back order and he didn't know when it would be available, but would call me when it was. He never followed up with me, I had to call again to follow up with a receptionist and schedule my delivery date over a month later. I was irritated and frustrated because I expected for my coffee table to come in when I first moved in, but it didn't. But, I let all of this slide, up until today when I made a claim for my sofa due to it have a strong dog urine odor. I purchased the stain warranty from my salesman after talking to him about the warranty and explaining to him the only reason why I would buy it would be because I have 2 puppies and I was concerned with the peeing/pooping issue. He told me that it would be covered, therefore I agreed to purchase the $230 warranty. I submitted a claim for my sofa and the company said that my complaint wouldn't be covered. I was beyond furious at this point. Everything that was promised wasn't correct or followed through, I will never shop here again. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

Called them a month later to set a delivery day and half of our items were out of stock... And on delivery day one item didn't arrive and I called the salesperson and he said it looked like someone else took it the one he has reserved.
