My detailed experience with Valyou (tldr below): I found Valyou furniture through Facebook and was so happy that I clicked on their ad for Feathers Sectional as I instantly fell in love! Valyou furniture offers unique and high quality furniture at an affordable/reasonable price. Valyou conveniently offers several forms of payment and I went with Klarna as mine! I initially came across Feathers Sectional on Wayfair and it was sold for 2-3x the price! Valyou furniture provides an exceptional customer service as they are very responsive and helpful. I had the pleasure of working with Jam, Ana, Jo-Elle, Shai, Belle, Chris and Alexis-- all very kind and all very responsive. I ordered the Mario Capasa 142" Beige and the delivery was very quick. I live in the East Coast and delivery is usually supposed to take longer, however, I was able to receive my sectional within a week. Sectional and ottoman was broken down into 4 boxes. I definitely recommend the in-home delivery instead of curbside delivery if you live in a walk-up apartment as the boxes were 30lb, 50lb, and two were 100lb each and it was just my boyfriend and I hauling up the boxes up the stairs (wish I chose the in-home delivery instead). The boxes are black and do stain your hands and walls so I'd be careful with bringing them up and letting it touch your walls. The sofa does come already assembled all you have to do is remove them from the box and set it up in your home. We watched a video on YouTube on how to assemble everything and on the bottom of the sofa, there's a clasp that you use to clasp the sofas together so they stay together! After that your all set to go! My favorite thing about *this* sofa is the fact that you can remove ALL the covers and wash them! All meaning not just the cushions but also the covers on the sofa! There are complaints of the sofa losing it's comfort and also that the sofa is a little low. I did my research before purchasing and discovered that the legs are replaceable and you can buy taller legs on amazon for $20. It's a small price to pay to upgrade an amazing couch. Luckily for us, we prefer our sofas on the lower side! In regards to comfort, you *do* need to fluff the cushions after every use or at least every other day. This is to keep its shape and to keep from shedding feathers. This is an amazing sofa and you do have to do your part as it's new owner to keep it new! My only real complaint about my order is my ottoman did come damaged. I didn't bother to contact Valyou as I had already tossed the box and you do need the box to make an exchange. The spring broke inside the ottoman and lost part of its support. We decided to just use it as a cat bed for our cats to make use of it and it worked out in the end! However, after one week of delivering, Krisha called to follow up on the order and get feedback. I explained to her my situation and she was more than happy to help me out and get this sorted. Thanks Krisha! [TLDR]: Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience from shopping with Valyou Furniture. They offer affordable and stylish furniture at an affordable price with convenient forms of payment! Customer service is very responsive and follows up with you from start to finish. I was very pleased with the quality of my sofa and my favorite thing about it is the whole sofa is machine washable! I've gotten a ton of compliments from friends and family and they've went ahead and bought the same sofa! I will be buying more furniture again-- Thanks Valyou! read more

Interior Designer!!!!!! Horrible HORRIBLE company. I ordered a sofa for my client in early November through Valyou. The sofa was delivered into the home in a tarp and plastic wrap. The sectional of the sofa was not what I ordered it was the wrong side and it took Valyou almost two months to respond to my request for replacement. Two months!!! I spent 4 or 5 days being placed on hold. I emailed every day since the delivery and was responded to repeatedly that they will deal with the issue in the morning. Never got a call once. Finally after two months, Valyou responded that they can swap the item buy it will cost almost $600 for shipping. The cost -- the packaging cost that the original sofa came in. So now they want to charge me $600 for the packaging charge for a box that was never in the original delivery. Even better is that Valyou has a policy on the website that says that first-time orders would be refunded if the order was not up to standards. The most ridiculous part of the story is that the delivery man came to pick up the original sofa and came in a small car alone. He was unable to lift the sofa on his own and asked for my clients help (middle-aged woman). It was incredibly embarrassing and frustrating. Not to mention that they couldn't lift the sofa themselves and while trying to remove the sofa, they damaged my clients home. The delivery man eventually left without the sofa. This company has been dodging calls, lying about their policies, and scamming people out of money. I would like to specifically call out Daphne (who is int he logistics department is was incapable in doing her job) as well as Cel and MANY MANY others on the team. Don't have a refund policy in place if you aren't going to abide by the policy. I understand trying to discuss the matter, but the employees have repeatedly dodged my calls and when they do call, they put me onto the next representation. Finally when they did come pick up the sofa, I purposely asked the driver what kind of supplies he brought to wrap the sofa and he said cellophane and the tarp!! WHICH IS WHAT I HAD KEPT FROM THE DELIVERY!! and what they forced me to pay the $600 for! This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had ordering furniture. One of the most unprofessional places of businesses. I am jealous of any reader who wisely reads this review before placing an order with this terrible company because it will save them plenty of time and money. I can confidently say that I will never be ordering from this company and will do my best to detour interior designers away from Valyou. I will also inform all the Interior designer friends other within the design industry. Truly such horrible customer service and horrible company, STAY AWAY FROM VALYOU!! read more

The two delivery persons exceeded my expectations. i wish i asked for their names. i love it when anyone goes that extra mile without having to be asked and with a smile and they certainly did. IMHO, they deserve a raise :-) My experience with the sales staff were less stellar. There was a lot of confusion. This was my first experience with this company and i completed the sale via paypal with the mainland branch only to find i needed to transfer to the hawaii branch which doesn't offer a paypal option. so i had to cancel the order. while deciding whether to reorder i got two different emails offering offering free shipping. so i decided to go through the hawaii branch for the sale. (BTW, whether you buy an ottoman or a complete sectional sofa delivery fees are the same). During checkout my free delivery code was rejected but i went through the sale thinking i would get a refund. When i notified their customer service, they sent me a policy note, that i was not eligible but no apology or even acknowlegement of the emails i received except for the fact i had to provide proof of the emails by sending them screenshots-- which i provided. it's obvious at this point that their customer service is (as other reviewers have said) oriented mainly toward sales. i wanted my ottomans so i tried various cheaper delivery possiblities-- all knocked down unless i had a family member or myself pick it up from their kapolei warehouse-- i recently moved into a new apt near chinatown-- i am 70, disabled (use a rollator and the handivan). at the end, they compromised. they would waive the in room fee and deliver into my apartment so i wouldn't have to cart the order (two ottomans) from curbside. and as i said at the beginning of this review, the delivery guys were just great! one last thing-- the online website offers $50 to sign up to be applicable to the first sale. that code was also rejected-- not applicable with no explanation why. so my advice is to ask a lot of questions and be care-ful. be sure you get an order number. i bought the two year furniture protection -- i hope if it's needed, they won't dig up some hidden policy to not honor it. all said, because of one employee who seemed to care about customer service beyond getting a sale and the, i hope, quality of the furniture, i will give that department s. BTW, i really like my ottomans-- they fit my apt perfectly. if they improved their sales integrity, this would be a excellent company. i still have ny welcome $50 and some reward $. we'll see... read more

Yelp deleted my review and most if not ALL of Valyou's reviews are from fake accounts! They are constantly posting fake reviews with the same response and the "owners" replying to posts aren't even real people. It's ran by bunch of scammers, don't buy!!! Valyou is a scam company. We had two orders for furnitures totaling up to five grand and we had to cancel one of the orders since we did not want it anymore. We waited about one and a half month for a refund and every time we called, the customer rep would say "we will call you back to resolve this" or "I will get a higher up to escalate this as soon as possible" which were total lies. After months of waiting for order refund, I disputed charge with bank and I called about my second order. Which one of the reps told me that they can't ship my second order because of my first order being "disputed" and they NEED me to lift the dispute or else they can't ship my items from the second order. Which didn't make sense to me because they are two complete different transactions where I made payments to and cleared. Valyou have also cancelled their customer support phone line and have the "Text for fast response" BS. I texted them multiple times which they have ignored, but will text back when I used another number. Valyou is purposely keeping your payments and not fulfilling them. Look elsewhere before buying here because you'll either not get your things or get it in a year or will break in a couple of weeks then they make you pay 20% restocking fee for a BROKEN item or offer 5% off next order. Whole company is BS. Positive reviews are from paid influencers and they will delete ALL negative reviews. I have since disputed both my orders and let my bank handle it since it's a waste of time to deal with Valyou. Buy from elsewhere and pay a few hundred more for a safer peace of mind. Valyou will not make you happy. Ikea things are much more reliable than Valyou. Valyou sources from cheap manufactures and add on fancy names to make it sound reputable. There are a bunch of sites that have couches like the FEATHER SECTIONAL which is a popular item they WILL not fulfill for you. read more

MUST-READ BEFORE SHOPPING HERE! (Scroll down for the Bottom line) I am writing this review because I see that people here love it or hate it. 5 stars or 1 star. I had to see for myself what is this place about. 1. I will start off that the prices are ridiculously low. Sofas for $400-500? (If you have been shipping for furniture in Hawaii, you would know this sounds too good to be true. Being said that my last sofa cost me $2,500 at inspiration). 2. The store is amazing! It is set up as small rooms where you walkthrough (Similar to Ikea), and you can get ideas and see a big selection of the products they offer. Shaul helped me the entire time I was there. I ended up buying three bedroom sets, dining set, sofa, coffee table, and several side tables and lamps. I FURNISHED 3 BEDROOM HOUSE FOR ABOUT $5,000 with beautiful modern products. So really, there was no compromising. I got what I wanted for a price than anywhere else I would get out the store with a sofa and one bed. 3. I have set the delivery a week later. (had to wait for my new floors to be done). The delivery people were a bit late, but that's normal. They helped assemble everything, and the place looks fabulous! (Will upload pictures soon). BOTTOM LINE! I don't understand the people that give this place 1 star. I read all the reviews. 99% of them are complaining about the long wait, or the driver was late on your delivery for 1 hour. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS LIVING?! I Have been buying furniture for over 20 years, anywhere else you would pay an arm and a leg + wait two months! Give these guys a break! They are only one year in business, and they are doing something huge for us in Hawaii. Something, someone should have done years ago. What I see is a company that is finally bringing value to the island, allowing everyone to make their homes beautiful and comfortable without taking loans or maximizing credit cards. The owners are so driven, and write this down: In 3 years, this company will be the only place all of you people would buy furniture! read more

Happy Customer. Great quality furniture. Excellent service. I was recently looking for some particular chairs and found them on the website of Valyou Furniture, Kapolei. The furniture on offer is a very good blend of classic and contemporary and I have often found some very nice pieces that are different from what else is on the market. It's a long way from where I live to their store so I called to ask for details about the chairs and delivery info. I spoke to a sales rep named James who went 'above and beyond' to help me by sending pics of the chairs and then emailing them to me a few minutes later. I understand that the chairs had an extremely long delivery delay listed for all the items of this particular range, however he discovered that the chairs WERE actually in stock for almost immediate delivery to me. I was quite apprehensive about ordering the chairs without seeing them 'in the flesh' as they were an expensive purchase, however, I have just received them and they are perfect - very solid and handsome chairs and they are a perfect match for my recently purchased table, but for which I was unable to get hold of the matching chairs. The items were very well packaged, the quality top class and the prices were unbeatable. The delivery of my Valmes Chair - Set Of 4 -arrived exactly as stated following on from an email and a phone call, resulting in a great experience all round - quality furniture, plus good customer service, plus a good delivery experience equals happy customers! This is the best online service I have ever received. Highly recommended. Well done Valyou Furniture, Kapolei.. Thank you. read more

Good Experience from order to delivery..... I've had 2 orders from Valyou furniture and from the outset I have been very impressed with the service and communication from them even though we were in lockdown and was traumatized by a hurricane recently, which could easily delay our goods arriving when expected. I could follow the progress of my order, first order was expected in 7weeks (30thSept. ) second order was due in 2-3weeks (25thOct ). I had a phone call from Valyou furniture to advise me that my furniture was now Instock and would arrange a delivery date. To my surprise my furniture was delivered earlier than expected, by 2 gentlemen on 1stNovember, the delivery men allowed me to check over my items before they left. Nothing too much trouble excellent delivery service. Delivery on time and friendly courier service with a pre drop phone call. Lovely helpful sales/ customer service team and very approachable/responsive. A couple of weeks later I had a phone call from Valyou furniture to ask if everything was okay with my furniture's. To my delight I could confirm that I was very happy with all pieces of furniture and also with my experience of Valyou Furniture. The Beige Feathers Sectional and Jordeen Chair - Set of 4, all came ready assembled, are solid in construction and good quality furniture, good value price product purchased too. I feel sure that these pieces will last me well. I would be very happy to place further orders and highly recommend this company. read more

I was in search of a good quality RH dupe cloud couch and came across the feathers couch by Mario Capasa and this looked even better -- it was more formed and appeared luxurious in pictures. I was hesitant in the beginning purchasing from Valyou as I did not know about this company before. However, after talking with the customer service, I decided to go forth. I ordered 142-inch beige right facing feathers sectional. Initially the delivery date was WITHIN 1 WEEK of my date of purchase- this sounded too good to be true! They did ship it the next day! I was following the tracking number provided by Fedex- however, Fedex made a huge blunder and lost the couch on the way! I was in contact with Valyou and Fedex throughout this. It was already 2 weeks late and I asked Valyou to send me another couch in place of that- however, I did not hear back from them for that request. They got hold of Fedex and tried to resolve this. Finally, my couch arrived yesterday after 3 weeks of placing the order- which is not that bad in terms of timing (very disappointed with FEDEX for losing 3 boxes of couch on the way though!). It came with four beige and one yellow cushion. The couch is BEAUTIFUL and so PLUSH! The size we ordered was a bit big for our living room- so we placed one of the sections in our other room and it looks perfect there. The quality is great and its VERY comfortable. Really happy with the purchase! It was worth the wait :) read more

Hands down the best experience I've had! I just moved to hawaii and needed to furnish my home immediately. So I needed my item delivered as soon as possible. I searched on yelp and saw Vayou Furniture Kapolei is the closest to my area. This was my first stop for sure! I walked into the store and already seen a few things I loved. Cherri assisted me on finding a few things to style along with the items I wanted to purchase. She was super helpful and gave me her honest opinion on a few things. I will definitely come back to her! Without her assistance along with the other associates, I would not be able to furnish majority of my home with the promo they had available at that time. I was able to get majority of my items delivered a few days later! The tracking service was the spectacular for just $195 flat fee on assemble and delivery which isn't bad at all! I was able to track where the truck was and how long it'll take to get to me! In the meantime, I was able to run quick errands before they came. Once the assembly was done. I got to observe my items and it came out really good! I'm happy with how it turned out. The delivery service is a 5 star! Thank you Cherri for all the help and the rest of Valyou Furniture! You guys are awesome! Can't wait to get comfy in my new home and new furniture! read more

From the store to my door .. it was all so easy. My initial shopping experience with Jessica at Kapolei store to my purchase day with Nani also at Kapolei store, the professionalism, consideration, patience made my shopping, decision & buying experience pleasant, easy, no pressure and stress free. Furniture is a big purchase, it can be overwhelming and many other stores can pressure you out. But the ladies at Kapolei made it easy. Loved that I didn't have to wait a long period of time for delivery. Not even a week. Others were a minimum 3 weeks out. When delivery day came, two young men, Kahale and Riah (sp??) were so respectful, professional and courteous. They drove in carefully, identified themselves, unloaded with care, went over my delivery with me to confirm all was satisfactory and left as carefully as they arrived. I mention that because in the past several months I've had many deliveries from a variety of purchases in the last few months, all of which had a rushed sense of service, whip in, drop the load and out... no thought to "hey this customer just spent a crap load of money on product and we have a job cause her weak a** can't pick it up. So I am appreciative & grateful for the service & professionalism. Those young men represent Valyou very well. MAHALO PLENTY read more
