I usually enjoy shopping at T.J. Maxx, and this visit started off great. I like to go aisle by aisle by aisle, The store was organized, easy to shop, and had a lot of really nice options. I always find great things for my home here, and the body wash and skincare section is one of my favorites because there's such a good variety at a great value. The purses and accessories were also super cute and definitely caught my attention. Unfortunately, what put my shopping on pause was the bathroom being closed. When you're planning to spend time browsing, not having access to a restroom can really affect the experience, and it cut my visit shorter than I expected. Overall, I still like shopping at TJ Maxx and will continue to come back because I can usually count on finding something stylish and affordable. I just hope the restroom situation gets resolved, because everything else about the store was enjoyable. read more

I had never realized that there is a TJ Maxx in Pearl City. I usually go to the one in Kapolei or Pearlridge. I found that they had so many things to choose from. I literally walked around the store just looking at things. Usually, I am the type of person to be in and out. There were so many things that I wanted to buy but limited myself to what was necessary. I found a pair of fun green pants and a cute top for work, along with a separate top and a pajama set. I went to the dressing room to try everything on and the attendant was sweet and friendly. I also found some personal care items that I typically use at a lower cost price which is appreciated these days. When checking out, the cashier was friendly and thoughtful. I definitely feel that I got a full bang for my buck. I will be coming back. read more

Sensory overload as I just go row by row with lots of health and beauty items, jewelry, clothing and kitchen ware just to name a few along with finding brands names and popular characters from Snoopy to Hello Kitty there's something for everyone here. As we're approaching the holidays as I'm seeing them stock the decors along with some fun accessories celebrating any occasions is fun with a stop here and the staff here are nice to help you with any search and if you're lucky you may find some deals in clearance section which makes it a fun find. I've been to Tj Maxx multiple times, but this is my first time at this location. My first impression was that it was clean and organized. The staff were friendly and greeted us upon arrival and leaving. They have a variety of selection like most Tj Maxx, from clothing to home goods. I liked seeing that they had a lot of items for toddlers at a more affordable price than some chain stores. While some select clothing and items can be pricey, you can find bargains there. I would come back to this location again. read more

Shopping in Pearl City, Oahu, Hawaii... I was inspired to visit this store (since I was in the area) because I saw Donna O.'s photos of merchandise at the Honolulu location of TJ Maxx. Haha! Donna had found some cute Hello Kitty mugs and makeup brushes... none in Pearl City... but there were Panda makeup brushes and a bunny mug... and a Clearance section! I also found a Cony hair band, Hello Kitty soap dispenser, and panda Matcha Latte boba hand soap! I got the panda dental floss for my niece - along with a panda face wash! She'll be happily surprised! I also needed to get a birthday gift... I found a few fun items that would be enjoyed by anyone! The clerk that cashed me out was Very Good. I wished that I had gotten her name. She wrapped my glass items in paper so they wouldn't crack. She asked if I had a TJ Maxx credit card... Yes, I have one! She patiently explained why I should use it... for the points system. She also told me about the early shopping event and goodie bag... I wrote it on my calendar! Yay! I was at this strip mall, so I stopped by. I had no luck as usual. I have never purchased anything at any of the TJ Maxx locations on Oahu. I have no idea what it is. People who know me know that I love to shop. My hubby loves going to TJ Maxx, because he knows that I'll leave empty handed. None of their items are for me and it's not because it's an off-price retailer. I shop at Ross and Old Navy all the time. Maybe one day I'll find something that I'll like. I purchased a dog bed at the Pearlridge location, to get home and read the instructions on how to remove the cover for washing. Upon removing the bolsters I found that the inside zippers were all busted and all the fiber stuffing was coming out. I took it back to return at the Pearl City location so that I could see if there were any other options besides doing an even exchange for the same one. Doing the return was quick and simple and the clerk had mentioned that she had the same one and same issue. She took my word on it and didn't check the item, not 10-12 minutes later I saw they had re-tagged it and just put it back on the shelf. So lesson learned, before you buy items here please check them out well. read more

6-6-22 came here by necessity as Little Sweetie wanted to go in with me to Cherry On Top in the same shopping complex but had an outfit mishap. She stayed in my car with her papa as I dashed in. I haven't been into this location compared to the two others so I started searching for the Girls Department. The selection was pretty small for size 10. I found a cute white eyelet romper and it was $12.99- what a deal. Had to ask a floor clerk where the girls underwear was and found a pastel assortment. Subtle to wear with white so no color show through. Very pleased with my purchase. She was so happy she could now go with me to get her cold dessert and select the most fun part, the toppings. So... if you're in a pinch, give this store a try if you need a change of clothes fast. read more

Closest TJ Maxx to Mililani residents.. parking is never an issue, it's fighting Pearl city traffic at that one intersection with Home Depot, the post office, and Sams club which is humbug and a hassle. Patience is a virtue..zen mode.. Retail therapy much needed after that situation. Anyways, it's always a pleasant visit at this location. It was a delightful visit today. I was checked on by an associate while browsing the beauty section and acknowledged on my way out, even though I didn't buy anything! Had my eye on this Juicy Couture luggage, but decided to not get it. Not in a rush just yet to purchase new luggage's for the fam, but I'm always keeping an eye out on deals so that I'm prepared & not stressed out on picking whatever they have at that time. TJ Maxx is a good place to stock up on goods or change your decor to match seasons/holidays. Although my latest visit was a miss, it will never stop me from shopping here. I've saved so much money buying work clothes and other necessities here than shopping at the original name brand stores. Things are easy to find. I came in not expecting to buy a lot of clothes or things. I only found a pair of pink Michael Kors shoes at $24.00 on red tag clearance. Still a good deal for the shoes. I also picked up a large Adidas lavender flask at $14.99! I need to take water with me to hydrate. I'm definitely coming back here if I need something. I like shopping for my clothes here. Selection was fine, they didn't have more of what I wanted, pretty much whatever is on the shelves Is all they carry. For the price of what I paid is comparable to Walmart and Ross. The only issue I experienced was in the parking lot, almost fell because the roots of the tree in the middle of parking lot caused a bump that I even saw two more people trip over it. read more

I like this location. Probably because it's across the way from my current favorite boba spot (Icy Bubble). Also near my latest shabu obsession (Rokaru). Right next to Longs with Wal-Mart across the street too, it's a very convenient area to visit. After hours of browsing TJ Maxx there are many options in the area to grocery shop, have a meal, snacks, drinks and more. It's literally right off the Freeway so from Mililani to Pearl City is just a skip away. I love that this location practically has its own parking lot. I love that this locations bathrooms are always clean. And I always love love love the great finds I catch at this spot. Like every other TJ Maxx on the island, if you spot something you fancy, scoop it up pronto! You'll probably never see it again... read more

I had gone into the store specifically to look for a carry on luggage for my upcoming trip. I was disappointed because there wasn't much of a selection to choose from. What made up for the lack of carry on luggage was the selection of hair, makeup, and beauty products. This may not be a good thing considering I ended up buying everything I didn't come initially for. The store was orderly and well maintained for that I didn't rate lower than three stars. Had they offered a better selection of what I came for, my rating would've been higher. Great TJ Maxx (and I shop both here and on the mainland!). I find some awesome things here, including name brand clothing that would cost me double at Nordstrom) and high quality kitchenware, which I love! The store is always very neat and clean; sometimes a little hard to maneuver around because PEOPLE (shoppers) block the aisle and sometimes when it's new stock day, but it's usually clean and neat (unlike Ross). Shout out to M Ramos, the manager. She has helped me on several occasions with returns/exchanges and it's never been an issue. Her staff are also very helpful! read more

TJ Maxx is tricky. Most of them feel like someone's closet erupted because stuff is all over the place. But not this one. And my visit took place during Christmas time. The store was extremely busy but still very well maintained. I was so impressed with their beauty section. Popular and expensive name brands for a fraction of the price. The line was super long BUT there was a cashier at every single register and the like moved along so quickly. Very impressed with how the line was managed. The associates in store on the floor as well as at checkout were extremely friendly and helpful. Great experience at this location. read more

Saturday chores done...heading out to do some shopping...Fav store is TJ MAXX Pearl City....need to pick up BFF Glenda...heading out of Sunny Ewa Beach .....while having a nice conversation BFF says, "Oh oh, look at the freeway, it's at a standstill"........Noooooo.......is this a reaction to Tier 3 ?.....or a major accident ahead...we'll push through like pioneers...took a quick right into Robinson Heights and slooooowly traveled thru theback roads of old Waipahu...what was supposed to take 25 minutes took 1 1/2 hours...finally reached our destination....parking lot moderately full, no problem I saw one...park...n proceed to enter the store and check everything out(really) . Found a Nars foundation usually sells for about $43.00 for only $14.99.....4 lovely glass Irish Coffee cups on sale for only $6.00....Joico Color Endure hair Conditioners on sale for $6.00 ...and last but not least a fantastic pair of earring reg$14.00 for 8.00 I saw a lot of neat looking tie dye dresses, shirts,tops and was tempted, but tried to remember my over-Flowing closet. So straight to the checkout I go while eye-balling all the goodies we are tempted with every step we take (don't look,don't be tempted) ha ha ha! I've been obsessed with tj maxx lately because of these amazing finds! I decided to check out this location since it closest to me in central Oahu. One nice item that I found was this charcoal mask for $10!! I think it usually it goes for $38 dollars at stores like Sephora or ulta? I also bought some buxom lipsticks for a good price. I don't know if I got lucky and they brought in new products when I went, but I was not disappointed with this trip! I definitely will be back since there was ample parking & great customer service. read more

What I love about this TJ Maxx is the easy parking. I don't ever have hard time with it. Sanitizer is available and employees are friendly and welcome you upon entry. Store isn't too crowded either. I do find the store is hit or miss with items, some days shelves are more stocked than others of course. Also, cashier Nina is very sweet and informative! This TJ Maxx is the closest to me so I am always here, no complaints but it's small & average. I don't shop for clothes, I stick to home goods/pet stuff. read more

I love this store!!! This store is packed with merchandise, unlike the store in Kapolei. The store is neat and clean. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. This is like a treasure hunt for me, you never know what you will find. High end stuff but priced on a Walmart budget , lol. I always find something, well, 99.9% of the time. I love shopping here for fitness, clothing and other girly stuff. The quality of the clothes is better than Ross's and the price is still reasonable than going to Nordstrom or Macy's. I like how the organized the different sections than the Pearlridge location. Right when you enter, there is the bags, luggage, jewelry, shoes, skin and hair products on your right and on the left is the juniors, men's women, and children's clothes as well as bath and bedding. When you walk down straight into the store, you will come across the food, cooking, and dishes, and home decorations. This store is conveniently located in Pearl City Gateway along with Cherry on Top, Longs, David Bridal, Petco, Sally beauty supply, La Tour, Babies R us, McDonalds, Supercuts, Subway, Ramen ya, Domino's, Batteries and Bulbs (I could be wrong). There is Walmart and other food choices right across. There is plenty of parking stalls. They are some between Tj maxx and Longs near the longs' drive in pharmacy pick up. The customer associates seem glad whenever I don't need a paper bag to carry my goods since they are trying to conserve and give for those customers with plenty of merchandise. read more

I usually like this place but I was especially triggered today which is a shame bc I honestly really liked this store at one point. I'm annoyed because I was casually trying on a few items today at the store and as I was coming out to tell the fitting room worker which clothes I didn't want, she rudely asked, "so which ones did you not want?!" in a condescending manner and tone, which really just put me off and rubbed me the wrong way. She was a bit elderly with curlier hair and the way she said it to me made me feel very put down and like I was dumb, which I did not appreciate. I loved this store but I feel that attitude was most not deserved and will make me second guess shopping here in the future when I've previously always had great experiences. read more

The Pearl City TJ Maxx looks very nice on the outside, although just like most other retail establishments in Hawaii, the developer tried to squeeze a 15,000 square foot building onto a 10,000 square foot lot. The parking lot design SUCKS, and it doesn't surprise me. Once inside, it's clean, but it looks eerily similiar to a Ross 'Dress for Less.' What a terrible name: 'Dress for Less.' Makes it sound skeezy, huh!? Back to TJ's. It advertises 'brand names for less,' and there were brand names, but it's like someone ripped the brand name tags off the good stuff and threw it on the crap inside the Maxx. I'm not buying it. More importantly, the vanity in me wants to shop at places where people look like they've got money (even though, more times than not, I don't have any). My confidence took a hit walking the aisles of Maxx. Nope, not going back. Not my scene. Selection not that good, parking irritates me, and I'd rather shop the 'discount' racks at Macy's. read more

After dinner tonight we decided to stop over at TJMaxx by the Pearl City Manana area. This store has been here for quite a while and is usually well stocked with a lot of interesting things. Obviously, since it tis the season, there was a great abundance of Christmas toys, gifts, and Novelty items. Not to mention a lot of practical things that you could use around the house or to give away as practical gifts. All I know is that this store is very well maintained the staff is really nice, plus this year, they have a lot of selection so if you want to get some good Christmas stuff, head down there! read more

I wanted to like this small shop I really did. It's convenient, close to walmart, lots of parking. Now I know why. Workers are non existing, cashiers are really slow...no line and still takes forever. Prices are higher than Ross which is to be expected but my biggest gripe is almost every top I bought here eventually has a hole in the material. Maybe they have moths? Who knows. I did find a $5 top this time around so I'll be crossing my fingers that it won't (grow) a hole. They need to look into lowering their prices! I always shop TJ in the mainland and found many great deals. I have a feeling they will close down like Marshall's...remember that place? Yup reminds me of there. Dead and empty feel. I love how stocked up this tjmaxx was! I was shopping for a baby shower gift and was able to find so many different gifts to put into a gift basket. I also was shopping for kid toys which there was a lot of as well! I also love that there was such a huge selection on clearance items!! I mean what's better than clearance in an already clearance store???? The only reason that I don't visit this location as often as others is because the drive is further than the others. I love TJ Maxx! Every location is the same yet different. What I mean about that is that you'll find different items at each location yet you can also find the same item in all the location. You definitely need patience digging thru all the goodies. This location had a few Kate Spade belts, a ton of Michael Kors sandals and lots of randomness. I even found Big Island Honey closer to check out. I love how TJ Maxx has brand name items at great prices. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

The Devil Wears Prada.......NOT TJ Max. In recent months, my quest to find affordable (cheap!) items has led me to this location. LIKE: Plentiful parking: Though it's located in a complex with other shops, the parking area fronting the store is spacious. Great selection and variety of products: From iPhone cases, to luggage, clothing, shoes, food items, home decor, plates, glasses, and toys, there is much to choose from. Helpful and friendly staff. Love the location: next door to Longs Drugs and across the street from Walmart, while Home Depot is located down the road. NOTE: Some items I have found/bought include an iPhone case, iPhone cables (for charging purposes), multi--pack of socks, dress shirt, and a brown belt. The sections in the store are clearly divided and appropriate signage posted...i.e. Men, Women, etc. BOTTOM LINE: The Devil should consider wearing TJ Maxx, its definitely more affordable than Prada. read more

Oh what fun! I love perusing the clearance items and you can find some really great stuff here for super cheap! Not dollar store cheap or Ross's cheap but reasonable. 2 of my favorite things here... 1. The Greeting Cards they have a pretty great selection of cards for all occasions! Birthday, baby shower, retirement, sympathy, and even just thinking of you cards. The pop-ups or decorations on them should be way more than $2.49 I bought them for...but I ain't complaining 2. Customer Service As soon as l walked in, I was greeted. I was even approached multiple times by different associates asking about my day, of course if I needed help looking for something, but what really stuck out to me was how intentional and interested in me they were... not in a creepy way - but genuinely interested in how my day was. What my plans are and how I'm doing. Not just blowing smoke - kind of meaningless words... That made a huge difference for me!! read more

I always find things I like, at TJ Maxx. It's not always economical, but it's less expensive than full price. I do love their handbag and luggage sections. A good variety of choices. Children's clothes is another favorite area. They also have an assortment of snacks and gourmet items which are always interesting to look through. You can usually find at least one item you want to try. Parking doesn't seem to be a problem at this location, which is why I usually go to this one of all. A brand spankin' new store should have created more excitement in me, but after glancing at the clothing prices, well ... let's just say, my $20.99 deal at Ross on a $148 Michael Kors dress was still fresh in my mind. To be positive, what I did find in the Home section were some cute Cynthia Rowley orange pillows for just $14.99 each, so not all was lost. A nice collection of seashell accessories caught the eye of the 4-year-old who also had fun bouncing on the furniture collection. The cashiers were friendly and the waiting line was short. On our way out, we saw a display of Hello Kitty logo-ed chocolate macadamia nuts boxes which the little one had to touch. A handful of boxes fell to the floor, so there we were trying to put them back on the display only to cause another 20 or so boxes to clatter loudly to the ground. Embarrassed, we hastily shoved them back into the display and made our exit. Maybe they won't want us to come back anyway! read more
