I have been in the Waikele Gap many times. Each time, I engage a little small talk with several different workers there, and every time I find each one of them to be friendly, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and competent/professional, whether the person is younger or older. The clothes themselves seem to be made of high quality materials. The appearance of the clothing items there seems nice as well, and the sale prices are incredibly low, so low that it makes you feel a little guilty for buying such nice items for so little money. Please share my review with your workers at the store, so that they can know that their kindness means more to some people than they probably thought. read more

Gap has been around for as long as I've been around. I remember the first Gap store at Ala Moana many moons ago. I'm so thankful for Gap Outlet. Not only do they have a wide selection of clothing from men's, women's, and children, their price is also affordable. Every time I visit, the store is 40% off. Can't beat that! Their customer service is always excellent and consistent. The cashiers always greet you as you enter the store even though they're ringing up someone. Fitting room employees are always friendly and helpful. Gap is one of the store you won't see employees gossiping. They're always on the go and busy working. Way to go! It's all about professionalism. I appreciate that when I see it. I also love their clothing line. It's simple and easy as I like it. I don't need nothing glamorous or fancy. Full disclosure: former employee of Gap, Inc... but what that means is not only do I understand the constraints and stresses of working retail during the impending holiday season, but I also know the standards that Gap, Inc sets for their stores. Not only did I come mid afternoon on a weekend, but I came with 3 kids under 6 and a grumpy husband. Sounds like a horrid time right? Not quite. The store was clean, and for the most part put together. A few things could have been tidied up but all associates were either folding their area or helping customers. The clearance racks were uncluttered which surprised me bc usually they are hard to sift through. It was easy to find my jean size bc they were sorted in order. The fitting rooms were clean and clear of any left over merchandise. The sales associate checked on me but didn't really bother me which I prefer. I got my size correct so didn't need the extra assistance. The cash wrap was very clean and the sale associate offered me a gap card per protocol which I politely declined without opposition (thank goodness). She even helped me locate a jacket at another store. Very pleasant experience. I live close by and don't want to drive to town. Gap Factory is my go to for clothes usually so I will be there again! read more

All I can say is that I had to see with my very own eyes to believe it. And yes, it is very, very TRUE: There is now a Gap Factory Store at Waikele Premium Outlets! Hip hip hooray.....it's about time! LOCATION: Gap Factory store is located in the former space occupied by Borders Books and Music. The new store is spacious, organized, and clean. There are sections for men, women, and children, complete with fitting rooms located towards the left-hand side of the store. SALE: I was definitely impressed that there were various sales throughout the store with as much as 30%, 40%, or 50% off selected items. In the men's department alone, t-shirts and jeans were 30% off, while underwear/boxers were marked down 50% off regular prices. Overall I'd say it was a wonderful experience until it was time to stand in line at the cashwrap and pay. I was truly disappointed that more registers weren't opened to help the customers in the increasingly growing line. Truly, I was slightly annoyed but tried to understand that perhaps the employees were trying to work out the "kinks" in their daily operations. Thankfully, the cashier was fast, friendly, and efficient. Bottom Line: Gap/bargain shoppers will definitely revel and appreciate this new addition to the Waikele outlets. read more

Love this store! Great customer service and good prices. It's not trendy wear by any means but if you're looking for basic essentials such as jeans, shirts and workout wear - this is the place to go. I signed up for their online offers and I was able to apply my discounts here. 15% off my already discounted purchases. Like I said, not fancy or trendy wear but purely basic essentials. I have purchased shorts, shirts and scarves here and it's held up through the years and when paired up with other trendy items - it makes for a decent outfit. Basic clothing never goes out of style and here, the quality of the clothing goes a long way. Despite the long checkout line, the cashiers all acknowledged the waiting customers by saying, "thank you for waiting, we'll get to your soon," and were really working as fast as they could. Let me preface by saying I love Gap as I enjoy classic pieces for everyday and work. So this cheaper chicken is awesome! I was so excited that we finally have an outlet store! It is next to starbucks on the lower side of Waikele where Borders used to be. They seem to have a select number of current season merchandise and a few that are slightly off season...but classic styles never really are totally out of style. Grab a pair of jeans, slacks, or khakis for about half the price. How can you go wrong with that? You can get a great deal on already great Gap prices, so this really makes me happy! read more

Where art thou cargo shorts? Yeah, this outlet is a hit or miss. I notice that unlike it's continental US counterparts the deals are sparse and for some strange reason the mecca of cargo shorts have NO cargo shorts. For real tho? I don't get it. I found a few good deals in 1 our of 4 times I went. I guess you have to expect that from an outlet store huh? The staff is very friendly and the parking is pretty tight out front (bring your compact car to park in front). Will I go again, yeah, will I make a special effort to go, not really. read more

It's a good place to get your basics and everyday wear. This GAP always has some crazy deal going on!! I love that this outlet also carries baby and kids clothing. Super awesome! The selection is pretty current. Sizes can go quickly, but with the large selection they offer, no problems in finding something else you didn't really need! This is a huge store, seems even larger with the high ceilings. Well laid out, making it easy to shop. The store does get crazy messy with things placed unfolded and thrown and placed shoved in racks with hangers. But, I can't blame the staff for not being able to keep up. I'm sure its tiring. Especially with what seems to only be a few staff members working at a time. As for customer service. The only time I was asked how I'm doing is when I ask for help myself, which was never. Guess that's okay, like I said, if I can't find it, I'll find something else. For me, this is a go in and get out kinda shop. I'll only come here if I have a specific reason to. read more

First time visiting this location since it moved from Pearlridge? At first there wasn't anything interesting and I noticed their hoodies. Ha ha, not really my thing. Started looking through the other aisles and eventually I found some merchandise of interest. Of course I'm looking for deals so items with 50%+ caught my attention! I really wanted to purchase some items but decided to put them back... Found a cute purple cardigan though in the clearance section. Yay! They finally brought us a Gap Factory Store. YAY!!! It's where Borders use to be. The store is pretty big. Lots of room, nice layout, lots of dressing rooms. Looks like the gap stores on the mainland. They had a pretty good sale going on. Most things were about 40-50% off. Sweaters were $20. I bought a pair of black dress pants for $27. The workers were friendly and helpful. My advice: GO SHOPPING!!! =) read more

A lot of folks make fun of the GAP. I'm not quite sure why. Perhaps it's because this corporate machine, tries to give that upscale trendy boutique brand look through their moderate priced, lower grade materials? Beats me. But whatever, if you are digging business casual or just plain casual then you and I both know that you'll have no problem shopping at the Gap. Now that the outlet version has opened even better. I thought this branch would be bigger but the selection on the Men's side is probably just as big if not smaller than one of their retail stores. The women get a larger portion of the store to themselves which I guess is understandable. You can only sell so many khaki, plaid cotton made clothing. If you have a chance to check Waikele Premium outlets out, definitely worth stopping by. I picked up a Thunder Cats shirt for $7. So what if you don't remember that cartoon from the 80's, it still kicks ass and for $7 you can't beat the regular $20 price. The only complaint is the inventory for the popular sizes is pretty scarce. I'm a 32/30 for pants and I don't think I saw any of that size among the Khaki's or straight fit jeans. My loss I guess. So like I said, if you're down with the Gap...or Thunder Cats for that matter, check this shop out. read more

The quality of Gap clothes has gone downhill :( Women's tanks, tees, and cardigans are super thin, I don't think it would last too many trips though the washer/dryer. Banana Republic is a much better value because their clothes last a long time and you're not paying a whole lot more than Gap if you go during sales/special promotions (sign up through email). I found some shorts on sale for $14 each, so I was very happy with that deal. It does look like prices are better if you're looking for children's clothing. read more

I was pretty bummed when Gap Pearlridge closed down but if they didn't then Gap Outlet wouldn't be here! Omg I love this store! Every time I go, there is always things on sale 20-60% off the sale prices and they have a pretty good selection of sizes too! I signed up for emails and every once in a while I get a coupon for 10% off your purchase of $75 or more... Definitely isn't hard to do there since you can shop for the whole family! Now if I would just remember to print it out when I go... Parking is out front and always available when I go. I never leave this store empty handed and it's one of my favorites at Waikele! read more

I was thrilled that they opened a location at Waikele because GAP is one of my go to brands for work. The location is at the old Barnes and Noble store in Waikele's Shopping Outlet. There's lots of parking available and the prices are wonderful. The Gap Outlet always has good deals and sales. read more

I'm not impressed! I walk in and I see GAP hoodies in the entire color spectrum everywhere. I was hoping to see more of the shirts, jeans, and sportswear. The prices weren't all that cheap either. I think I prefer shopping at a regular GAP store. But if I ever want a GAP hoodie, I know I can get one here. read more

I found my new found obsession with gap. I'd like to think my wardrobe either is classic or vintage because thas what I can rock and I was super excited to find Gap at Waikele. So I walk in and every thing is well organized and folded and looks pretty. The store isn't very large and doesn't have a great selection but what can you expect this is an outlet store. I end up finding a cartigan and a cute tank top and the price tag on the tank says 10 bucks. So I end up waiting in line. Ended up waiting in line for 30 minutes? Why? Two reaons. One there was only two cashiers. Two one of the cashiers took ten minutes to talk to each customer. Really? I'm down for great customer service but that was excessive. But whatever. By the time i got there I spent 20 bucks their. Apparently the tank was only 5 dollars. Prices are great, customer service is great, store atmosphere is great, just have the check out line move faster and it'll be perfect! :) read more

Oh Borders how I miss you! Haha... Okay I know this is Gap now and Borders is long gone. Don't worry the fact that they took Borders old location has nothing to do with this review. Though I have to admit that was the reason why it took me awhile to try out this location. Don't get me wrong I love Gap and their related stores. Gap has many great clothes and so many deals it's just amusing! I saw a ton of 40-50% off deals for their jeans and they had shirts for about $7! Can you say SCORE!? If your a first time customer (or maybe not?) you should definitely sign up for email updates on their website or any gap related store (old navy and Banana Republic). Why you may ask? Cause they give you 15% off coupon and it will be applied to every item you purchase! I would HIGHLY suggest you come down to this location. It's much MUCH and did I say much closer than the Ala Moana store for those of us who live in central Oahu and the store has a nice layout and nice workers to boot!! What are you waiting for? I enjoy GAP outlet every time I go. Staff is friendly and customer oriented. Willing to help with sizes and offering shopping bags. I always visit during the weekdays since there is much less local traffic. And weekends can be very busy at the outlets It is a little hidden as it isn't part of the "waikele premium outlets" but totally worth the trip across the street. They always have amazing promotions and deals going on. Definitely sign up for the email list as they will send great coupons. I do have a gap card as well so I get extra coupons and discounts through out the year. read more

I'm not sure if I am proud to admit that I have urged Waikele Premium Outlets to get themselves a GAP via email once in my life. I was STOKED when they finally opened. The store reminds me of their mainland counterparts. Great sales, great prices! A fantastic place to get basics as well as seasonal trends. When I went in late May, the hats were 40% off ($15) and the slippers were 60% off ($3.20). I'm excited that the GAP corporation has finally come to their senses and the Banana Republic, GAP and Old Navy family is now complete in Waikele. read more

I thought I reviewed this store before but I guess not. The store is located at the old Borders location. For a retail store, it is huge. The reason why im giving them 4 stars is for the size of the location and prices. Some stores are so large, but they limit the amount of clothing they put out on the store. At Gap, there are tons of clothes out there for you to choose from and the prices are very affordable! SInce they are at the old Borders spot, the parking is right across from the entrance. Basically, dedicated parking for that store. Never had a problem finding a spot! read more

Been here recently and I was really surprised at the selection. Many sizes still in stock! Pretty decent sales running not bad prices. Got a bunch of boxer shorts for my son to sleep in under $5! Nice boyfriend tank for $6, jeans around $33. They do offer a 10 percent discount for military so don't forget to ask. If you find any coupons online they allow you to use those also...only thing you can only use one discount...no doubling. read more

how can I argue with 50% off already reasonable prices? I can't! I didn't. They won, but I wouldn't say I lost. I love Gap's quality for kid's clothes. We usually buy from the store, but decided to check out the outlet, and just so happened to do so when the whole store was 50% off. I think it was a match made in heaven. Yeah, I had to dig around for sizes, but it's an outlet store. With a sale. Obviously people are gonna be all up on it. People needa chill out, for real. This store is so perfectly located but, for me, it falls short in terms of merchandise. Gap Baby has adorable clothing but unfortunately, this store hardly stocks any of it! There is a children's section in the back but they have very few pieces of Gap's baby collection. I've checked the store out numerous times over the last four months and I'm always disappointed. If you're looking for baby clothing, try Carter's across the street or head to Gap Kids in Ala Moana Center instead! read more

If you are looking for a good deal this is a great place to shop! They always seem to have sales on top of the "outlet mall" pricing. Coming from someone who has shopped outlet malls on the mainland this is not a "destination" but if you are in the area a good place to shop. The Sales Associates are generally helpful and friendly and they tend to keep the store clean and organized. When bargain shopping this is always a plus!! Another positive is the store being located across from the main outlet stores, (maybe not if you are here for serious shopping) but it is much easier to find parking on this side of the street. read more

This is for the Gap outlet at Waikele and the Gap store at Ala Moana. Both have Babygap and kids sections, most mainland stores only have the adult sections. If you buy Babygap stuff online, you can return it to Gap Ala Moana within 45 days of your order. I'm just glad the Ala Moana location doesn't have that upstairs-downstairs situation anymore. As far as the layout at the Gap outlet, everything looks like a hoarder's save-it-for-later pile. Therefore selection and sales are better at the Gap outlet because nobody goes there. Except me. Also, the Gap outlet offers 10% AAA discount on top of whatever sale price you're getting, not at Gap Ala Moana. The sales associates at Ala Moana aren't as pushy with the Gap credit card than at the outlet. And as a test I always ask what the interest rate is for the Gap card, and one time the gal at the outlet didn't even know where to look. It's like 24%, honey. read more

I've always had really positive experiences shopping here. I usually make the drive out from the east side around holidays for the best deals...which can be a hectic time to shop. No matter how busy the store is the employees always look for sizes/items in the back for me and never seem inconvenienced. The selection is hit/miss depending on when you go, but you can score some seriously amazing deals with their whole store sales and especially with the clearance section. My sister bought a ton of their baby items and they're adorable on her new son. It's one store I never miss when visiting Waikele. The Gap Body line is unbelievably comfy too, trust me and give it a try! read more

Much, much better selection of clothing compared to the stores previously held at Pearlridge. As you enter, the entire section from front to back is catered toward women, the middle is a section for men, and the back are for children. The prices vary. I've seen pieces upwards toward $50 and sale items a little over $12. If you're in the area this would certainly be a store worth visiting. read more

Wow! What a treasure this gap is! I was able to find my husband a pair of really nice gray skinny jeans and a button up shirt for less than $20! They are both very good quality and will most likely last a few years at the least. I wanted to buy so many other things, but I stopped myself.
