RL has been a respectable brand that started in 1967 with men's ties, that also expanded with men's and women's wear shortly after. I was first introduced to RL when I was in middle school as my aunt gifted me a shirt. I still recall opening the Liberty House box to find an amber yellow polo shirt. I got a lot of comments when I wore it. RL is well known worldwide and also popular in Japan. Hoping my friends will enjoy my gift to them. I arrived shortly before opening time of 10am on a weekday morning and shocked to have witnessed about 8!people standing outside queuing to enter. I opted to wait in my car until the doors opened and customers walked in. I really appreciated the layout of the floor as it was clearly specified of the men's and women's sections. I immediately spotted Oxford shirts that came in an array of colors. I've known my friends for quite some time so I know their favorite colors. I immediately narrowed down the selection and had the task of choosing between the conservative, preppy look or to be bold and outgoing. Because Japan is a conservative society I selected conservative and held on to the shirts and explore more of the store. There were some discounted items but I wasn't fond of the colors and style. I made the mistake by checking out more of the men's wear as I found a lined jacket that appealed to me. It was such a find as I could use a new jacket for my trip, especially with the cold temperature in Japan during December. I really liked the olive green one but the rack only had small. I walked to the cashier section where the associates were and was hopeful for opening my size but unfortunately none were left. Because I really liked the jacket, it was a toss up between navy blue or black. The black was a somewhat in a faded shade that would easily match and ideal for color coordination but selected the navy blue. Check out was a breeze and the sales associate was amazing. Friendly and informed me of their gift boxes which was a great deal at $5 each - - sturdy, classy and easy to assemble with a red bow accompanying. She offered to assemble it for me which was greatly appreciated. When asked of coupons or discounts, I advised I had none but bless her heart as she extended me the mall discount that saved me an additional $50+. Overall, very pleased on this visit to RL at Waikele. The drive here is quite a distance but worthwhile as I accomplished my goal with amazing service and savings.

I started with just a few and has ballooned over the years (especially with its recent collaborations). I'll admit, the shirts are a bit pricey if you buy them directly from the store. You'll never see them on sale at their stores (used to have the Spring cleaning sale in the newspaper!) anymore. You'll only find them discounted at Macy's or Nordstrom (and Rack) when they're on sale or in the clearance section, and it's only a few selected prints too. I was excited when Reyn Spooner introduced it's Pop-Up Sales last year at the Waikele Premium Outlet, and after a couple of sales, it's now a mainstay as Reyn Spooner Outlet! Awesome! This store in the main, central area of the mall, next to Famous Footwear and American Eagle. The store is clean, spacious, and jam-packed with Reyn Spooner items for everyone. Everything is very well organized and easy to browse with each section clearly marked. Keep in mind that this is the outlet store, so you will only find prior prints. None of the newer ones here. I also have not seen any NFL prints, only MLB and college prints. I've been here several times already since it opened. The pricing varies from $96 to $60--depending on the print. Obviously, the newer ones are higher priced. That was a little different from the Pop-up sale where all the shirts were $72 and lower. As I'm shopping, it's painful to know that if I waited, I could've saved this amount and that amount. But now I know I can wait for most shirts to save some money that can go into other shirts! This year, I decided to wait for the Year of the Snake shirt, and it was there at the outlet store! Perfect! There was one occasion where they were selling the first black "A Galaxy Far, Far Away" Star Wars print! They must've discovered some hidden stock (or ones that didn't make the quality control as they didn't look quite right)! Luckily, I got one already because they were selling for almost $200! You just gotta predict what will be popular and limited, which are usually the collaborations. Overall, excited to have a Reyn Spooner outlet store! Always packed with clothes with a few surprises here and there. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Only negative might be the 1 single dressing room. Other than that, I'll gladly wait a few months and save some $$!
