Apathetic service, I think there's been a change in staff. The service used to be awesome. I've come twice in the last few months and service was subpar. I work nearby and am a Hallmark fan. In December I inquired about VIP status as this was the first year I didn't receive my coupon I got a shrug and you can buy some we have leftover. Yesterday I went on my lunch break and waited in line the cashier allowed her customers friend to be serviced before me. I put my purchases back and left. Both times it was the same person. Sad it used to be my favorite place to buy gifts for coworkers and Christmas. I'll do my shopping online and get it shipped to my house. read more

I know I wrote a review for this business years gone by but the Yelp Ghost got it. I was surprised that I was being prompted so checked and SURPRISE, no review. Recently needed cards for two Priest's Ordination anniversaries, two birthdays and a Mother's Day card. I can usually find one at Longs card display but knew I'd just have to come here for the others so decided to fight for parking and get it done. Believe me the prices and selection are better here. I also like the little gift items they sell too when you just want to add a special touch. I've purchased their adorable musical Christmas trees, singing Christmas Penguins, ceramic gingerbread houses etc that adorn my house for the holidays in addition to the many cards. The associates are always helpful and kind as well as knowledgeable showing a wide range of cards from inexpensive to the huge "let's make a statement" cards. Shopping at Pearlridge Mall in Aiea, Hawaii... Every month, I receive an email from Hallmark, reminding me to pick up my free card for the month. It's the $2.99 "Just Because" cards. It's nice to send snail mail to brighten up someone's day... I know that I appreciate it! Pearlridge Mall has free parking, air conditioning, and so many stores! Amy's Hallmark is located near the entrance by California Pizza Kitchen - close to the Pali Momi Medical Center. The workers here are so friendly! A nice gentleman chatted with me about the Sanrio products, and the cashier was very polite! Right now (January 2024), the Christmas items are on clearance! If you're interested in Valentines Day merchandise, there's a display already, and greeting cards in the back of the store. I found a great Lunar New Year card for my cousin in San Diego... she'll get a kick out of it! ...and I got my free card... for someone who will be going on a long vacation soon... read more

They also bring in stuff for seasonal holidays. Spur of the moment decision to pop in before leaving the mall. Was in search for a picture frame ornament but only saw one with wording that did not match. My granddaughter found their King Charles Spaniel had passed away yesterday morning. Super sad especially this time of year for a young kiddo. One employee was busy checking customers out at the register and another was engrossed with one customer for a LONG time... I kept passing by to find her with the same person each time so decided to not even say excuse me. There are quite a lot of nice and cute items hubs would describe as dust collectors. But I think sentimental or people with a bit of humor would enjoy. Ended up leaving the store empty handed but glad there is a shop like that there. read more

You can find unique things here! It's a place to visit when you have no idea what to get someone on their special occasion. And they give discounts by points with your phone number verses stamp card. NEVER buying anything or stepping foot inside the Amy's Hallmark store in Pearlridge Shopping Center. I pre-ordered a Keepsake Ornament back in August and they called me on Christmas Eve but did not leave a message to inform me that my order is ready for pick up. With all the spam calls going around you'd think they'd leave a message to make sure the call is legit. Nope! No message. So they sold my item to someone else and all they could say was "sorry". Wth?!? I waited 4 months and they couldn't give me one day to pick it up? Horrible service! read more

Horrible inconsistent service. I had inquired about purchasing one of displays for an out of stock ornament and was told they don't sell the displays until December since they could get more inventory. I found out that same display item was sold on Saturday, 10/14. Although this is a franchise location, would appreciate the same level of service across all Hallmark shops. read more

Very rude clerk! Was visiting from other island where we have no hallmark and I make a point to stop in to buy some gift items. Associate used a very loud tone at me, because off the far side of the back counter there was a pin but I couldn't see what pin it was because there was a paper blocking it - so I leaned in to look closer and in front of other customers she yelled "mam mam- mam- please don't touch anything! You ask me 1st and I will get it for u when I'm done"! She did find me later and said here is the pin and I hope u didn't think I was yelling at u! Came in with some friends to find a particular magnetic plushie and while they didn't have it, they did have a lot of other cute things! Great shop for collectible figurines and greeting cards for all occasions--all the typical merch you would think of when you think of "Hallmark" and a little more. I have to admit, I was super clueless about the name "Amy's Hallmark Shop" on Yelp because as long as I've seen this store in Pearlridge (many years!), I could've sworn the sign just said "Hallmark" lol. That's part of the reason I didn't check in. Is that the official name of the business? In any case I found the store to be clean, welcoming and friendly on my recent visit. After reading the book, Five Love Languages, I've learned that my love language is "words of affirmation". I love hearing and reading positive things people have to say to me. It makes me feel valued and loved. It started ever since I was young, when my parents used to give me greeting cards during the holidays and my birthday. They would always include a short hand written message and it would be so meaningful that I would keep the cards in a little box. I now shop here very often for holidays, birthdays and anniversary cards. The best thing about this place, is that if you sign up for their rewards program, they'll send you an email for a free card every month ($1.99-$2.99 value). They will also send you additional coupons to your email and upcoming sales and promotions. When you enter, they gave a small table in the front with hand sanitizer. Use it because you're going to be touching cards, etc. I also like coming here because they have a small section of various gift cards which is perfect gift also. Expressing gratitude is so important right now. Don't under estimate how you can lift someone up with just a few kind words. (I think a written card is the best way to bless from afar, regularly and economically , and it brightens people's day! Important during this pandemic season.) Free card each month is for Hallmark members (free to join), and as always staff greet you when you enter, are professional and friendly. This is my go to place for cards. Wide variety, better than at stores that carry everything and have just a small card section. I love their assortment of gift items, too. I have no sense of moderation when I come to this store. Typical visit to Amy's Hallmark: I come in for a card, I lose focus, start wandering the aisles (and there is a TON to see) and leave with way more than planned. Some past purchase highlights: Darth Vader coin bank, Death Star ice cube mold, Harry Potter stationary set, and assortment of mini cards for when you don't know what to write but want to keep it cute. The store has a great location at Pearlridge. At street level it's right inside the mall entrance next to CPK, or if you park downstairs by Long's it's close to the escalator. The only downside I'd say is that it's a little pricey, and their sale items seem pretty limited (at least when I've come in). However, I'm a stationary fiend so it's always worth a stop into Hallmark when I'm looking for those unique cards. read more

Every time I come here to just buy one card, I always leave with other items too because this place is just adorable. I always get greeted when I walk in, the employees are very friendly and helpful. Besides cards, they also sell keepsake gifts and even Yankee candle items. I have bought a few precious moments collectibles here . I like the girls' day statues with the dolls in the kimonos. The one for this year is $40, I may buy one when I get my next coupon. There are cards for all occasions here. They even make cards for people from their pets. You can also find birthday gifts here, it's like a one stop shop for a birthday present. I bought a shower bath bomb today because it was highly recommended by one of the employees. I don't take baths because I prefer showers, so I don't get to use bath bombs, but Hallmark sells shower bombs that give off scents when is just lightly sprinkled with water. There are a lot of Yankee Candle items including car scents available. I don't know why there are no prices on them, you have to ask to get it scanned by an employee to find out how much they are, but the workers are more than happy to do that for you. 10/18/19 bought a squishmallow at $9.99 but when Ashleigh rang me up it was 12.99. This is like the 4th time for price discrepancy. She said it was $12.99 despite the price tag of $9.99. Told her mgr said they can honor the price as it was the staff error and not the customer so I got the tag price on the past. She didn't quite agree and asked a coworker who said to give me the tag price.i think I upset Ashleigh as later I was looking at cards in another aisle away from the toys when I heard her grumbling about me and telling Dana verbatim what I said about the price discrepancy. I approached them and Ashleigh looks surprised and nervous I caught her talking about me. She rang me up for my 2 cards and told her sorry I caused problems but she said no problem but yet what was she talking about me? I found it offensive, disrespectful, and poor customer service to be talking about me in that manner. Before I left I told her" can I give you some friendly advice? Dont talk about your customers when they are but an earshot away" I spoke to Dana at the exit door and she said they were laughing and joking but I did not perceive it that way. I was very disappointed by this behavior and not sure if I want to return to this store as I usually go every week. I think Ashleigh just got sorry she got caught talking and grumbling about me. I wanted it for my collection and went to Melanie at the register and it rang up $12.99 (no surprise) so I asked her about the pricing and she asked Kim who immediately said to "just to adjust the price"wow! Usually I get a hard time at the register but this was a fast and smooth transaction and Kim was very fast and fair in her judgement. I finally felt relaxed and stress free and enjoyed my shopping experience. 5 stars for Kim fAst and fair accessment and for Melanie for not giving me a hard time and was friendly and did the right thing! Personal note to Kyle Rubin: thank you for obviously talking to your employees about the way to handle price discrepancies. And this time no one talked behind my back ( at least while I was still in the store) lol! Today customer service was great 4/24/20 hallmark in Kansas City, MO sent me 3 free "gratitude" cards and is sending to people who fill out their info on Hallmark.com. I think this was so Awesome for this company to be doing this for their loyal customers or even if you are not a customer! Because of covid19 we are unable to go to the stores as the malls are closed and I miss going Hallmark for my cards so this was a very Nice, charitable, kind gesture of the Hallmark corporation!
