I've used Office Depot Print Services on several occasions. The quality of the product is excellent and lots of choice on paper / card stock. They are always very prompt and so easy to pick up in the grab and go area. Because my print jobs are always ready the next day, I didn't even bother to check for a "job completed" email. When I arrived one hour before store closing, my order wasn't there. There was an employee in the print area cleaning up. He checked my order for me and said it will be ready the next day because of the large queue of jobs. However, he was so kind to offer to print it for me if I didn't mind waiting. I appreciate his thoughtfulness because it was one less errand I had to do the next day and I know he was busy shutting down. Great customer service like that is special. read more

I was working next door at a Credit Union, and upon finishing up the job, I decided to pop on into the Office Depot to pick up some office supplies. What can I say about Office Depot? It's basically your one stop shop for all of your office or school needs! Office Depot sells an array of items - office furniture, printers, computers, school supplies, printing services where they can bind manuals, or even print documents & business cards. I mainly came here to pick up some copy paper for our office network printer/fax/copy machine. I like the fact they they sell in bulk, so I can just make a large purchase, and not have to worry about running out of paper for months on end. Went there to email some document to an old friend. Got charged $35 for the scanning and emailing. They scanned the wrong documents and sent someone else's course case documents where one woman was suing another woman. I went back and had them resend my papers. I asked what should my friend so with the others court papers. They said shred it. I said he doesn't have a shredder should he have the mailed back to have them shred them. Associate had to ask manager. Who said, they'd do it. Friend just tossed 215 pages in the trash. Did't get a sorry, or credit for their screw up and not even a service on the next papers I emailed with them, which they had to do twice again! read more

Super duper thanks to my new homie Xavier!! And that's Xavier with an X...as in Professor X. I walked in looking to buy a printer, and Xavier knew exactly what I needed. Cuz you know...he's telepathic. Super hero reference aside, my shopping experience here was akin to having an appointment at a high-end luxury store. Seriously. Every printer I looked at, I was advised of availability, brand comparison, PPM rating, best pricing, along with ink cartridge info. After I selected my printer, Xavier then walked me down to the ink aisle and pointed out my future refill needs. Shout out to store manager Reilene (unsure of spelling). When I first walked in, she showed me where the ink/toner cartridges were as I wanted to see how much refills would cost. She pointed out that their printing services would be cost-effective for large print jobs. After Xavier rang me up, I had forgotten a document at the counter. There's other local stores nearby that you can visit while you're waiting for your copies. I like coming here for my supplies such as pencils for my daughter and random items. I purchased some stamps. I will continue to come here to purchase my stamps. This store is always fully stocked up with supplies. Workers here are helpful if you need to find something. If you have a number here, you can get rewards. A definite plus. Generally mixed feelings about Office Depot. I LOVE the service at this location. Staff are consistently great. I don't always love the prices, if not on sale, more than the usual big volume warehouses. But they came through for me when I was printing newsletters to go with my New Year's cards (was too busy in December to get Christmas cards out!) Ordered Office Depot brand inkjet ink for my HP printer. I usually order HP ink from Sam's Club with free shipping since my printer is old and they don't have my ink in store. Ordered it online late at night since the printer ink was bone dry. I expected to get a notification 20 min after the store opened the next morning and planned to be there at that time, hoping they really had the order ready as expected. Got a message BEFORE the store was opened that the order was completed and ready to pick up! I got there a few minutes after opening and got my item and recycled old ink cartridges and was out in only a little over 5 minutes! Great job Office Depot! Great ink, too! Service: when I came down to have my flyers printed out, the manager did a great job. Everything came out perfect and it looked great. So now we want a banner printed out for our bakery business highlighting our Thanksgiving specials. We went down on Friday morning 11/10 and was told that there wouldn't be any problem, there was only 2 people ahead, and we could pick up the banner later after they call to let us know it's ready. We wait ALL DAY FRIDAY, ALL DAY SATURDAY....no call. Finally today, Sunday 11/12 my husband goes down to follow up. He waits for about 20 minutes only to be told that our banner wasn't printed & now it'll be printed out on Monday. We're upset as Thanksgiving is coming upon us and we want to get the word out on our Thanksgiving specials. So right now, because of this oversight on our banner, I'm giving this particular Office Depot a one star rating. We're super upset and feel like we can't depend on them anymore. This review goes out to the main service that I utilize here which is their printing service. Located on the right hand side when you walk in there is so much to explore here as they meet your everyday and even not so everyday printing needs. Not only do they print out regular documents on the drop of a dime ( or you can do it on your own with the machines next to their counter) but they work with you to ensure that you are completely happy with your product especially when it comes to the design. Yvonne has helped me multiple times & has been very patient and understanding as I usually have my toddler with me and is a big help with canvas prints to document printing to labels and our Christmas cards for the last two years. I tell her that she is a miracle worker because it's true! Very impressed with her service in particular and I hope this review helps to give her the recognition that she deserves with this company. I really like coming here. The employees are friendly, there are sales going on all the time and they have great printing and postal services. I sell things online from time to time and although I have a computer printer at home, I don't use it often enough and the ink dries out when I need it the most. I can get my documents printed here for $.16 a page. I'm happy with it. You can also ship via Usps and fedex here as well. Score! There are constant sales and clearances here. Today I got $13 Christmas cards for $3, and it's the nice quality kind. I also got a 15 pack of Duracell batteries for $.01. They also had 8 packs of bounty paper towels for $6. A big mahalo to the Office Depot Waimalu staff for a hassle-free return. I purchased an office chair over the weekend after trying many different ones at both this store and other places. It felt nice and comfortable for the 20 minutes I sat in it at Office Depot, but when I brought it home and was planted in it for a few hours over the course of several days, my hip was in severe pain. A proper chair is very important for me since I've been dealing with lower back issues for close to two decades. When I purchased the chair, the clerk explained to me that if I were to make a return, it would need to be within 14 days from purchase and be repackaged in its original box. I managed to disassemble most of the chair but could not for the life of me get the cushion disconnected from the gas lift. I had messed around with the chair for over half an hour and was growing extremely frustrated. A quick call to Office Depot alleviated any further worry. The representative who answered advised that I could just bring down whatever I had and they'd take it back as long as it was all parts of the chair with the box. The return was quick and easy. One of the workers assisted me with unloading the box and the part I couldn't disassemble from my car. The only question asked is why I was returning the chair. Based on the level of service received, I will definitely patronize this Office Depot location more. read more

I have shopped at this location for years, and although the staff is friendly, I do note that this location -- I cannot speak for others -- is consistently a "Bait-and-Switch" operation. By that, I mean that the store has sale items constantly -- particularly in high-end office furniture (chairs, desks, etc.) -- and I don't care if you are parked outside in the parking lot when the sale starts, the less expensive advertised items are ALWAYS out-of-stock. The staff will try to convince you that everything was on backorder and that customers swooped them all up already. They will then always try to convince you to buy a much more expensive item similar to it. This practice is illegal as hell, and it absolutely has to stop! By the way, for the record, the desk chair that I wanted that went on sale and was out-of-stock was on sale for $150 bucks. I found the same mesh secretarial chair from the same manufacturer in stock on Amazon for $56 bucks (!!!) and ordered it immediately. You folks reading this are certainly entitled to spend your money where and how you want, but watch out that you don't get ripped off simply because the salesperson is friendly and talks a good story because it's all smoke & mirrors, and they want as much of your hard-earned dollars as they can get. read more

I ordered an item, and after reading reviews, cancelled the order. Although I had cancellation number, the item was delivered anyway. I contacted Office Depot and was told it would be picked up the next day and arranged my schedule to be home . . . it wasn't picked up. I spent another 15 minutes trying to find out what to do and was told to leave at front door and they would reschedule a pickup. That changed when I said I would NOT be held accountable if something happened to it since I wouldn't be present as I couldn't sit around all day waiting again. Now, I'm not to leave at front door and on hold with a big box that wasn't supposed to be delivered to begin with, while waiting for a "resolution" team to take 24 to 48 hours to figure out what to do. We literally ran in to this Office Depot (it was pouring rain) to look for a replacement laser printer toner cartridge. As we both tried to dry ourselves off before searching the toner aisle, we were approached by a very friendly and clearly happy employee, Bill. We showed him what we were looking for and he escorted us to the correct section of the store. Within a few seconds, he located the corresponding part number for the high-yield cartridge that we came in for. He also reminded us about their rewards program, which I am a member of, that would give us some bonus money for recycling our worn out cartridge. Yay! However, he further pointed out that we had also removed the printer drum along with the cartridge and to not turn that drum in. Bill mentioned that he has seen a lot of customers who have accidentally removed the drum and turned it in along with their cartridge for recycling. If you remove the drum, it's like removing the heart of a laser printer as the drum distributes or applies the toner to the paper you're printing on. So be careful of what you remove from your electronic equipment! We weren't in the store for more than 5 minutes from being greeted to checkout. Everyone seemed so pleasant and helpful. The store is clean and nicely stocked although looking about in an office supply store seems somewhat sterile. This store shares a large parking lot with Safeway, City Mill, Subway, Starbucks, other businesses and a satellite Honolulu Police station. the OFFICE. No, not that type of office, more like office supplies. I had one item in mind: I was on the hunt for flat rate boxes. 1. Yes, there's plenty of parking! Ample spaces available at Waimalu Plaza where this Office Depot is located. 2. The shipping supplies and shipping counter are located immediately to the right as you enter the store. 3. Yes, they do have flat rate boxes at this location! Customers can select from small, medium, and large sizes. There was a friendly associate who was kind enough to explain the purpose/use of the boxes: The actual boxes are FREE, and there is a flat rate customers pay for shipping depending on the size of the box. Since the boxes were free, I grabbed two each of the medium and large sizes. I also picked up some shipping tape since that was also on sale. 4. Yes, the staff is friendly! Besides the associate that assisted me with the boxes, the personable cashier was also a wealth of information. She informed me that I could also ship the boxes (if I chose to do so) at this location as well via FedEx. She went on to further mention that if I did chose to ship from Office Depot, that there is only 1 pick up a day at 200pm. Also, there are labels that can be filled out and placed on the box, so there's no need to fill out the "From" and "To" sections on the box itself. side NOTE: For those that are interested, the shipping fee/rate I paid for the large flat rate box was $18.85 (I chose to mail it at the Airport Post Office). BOTTOM LINE: Although my visit at this location was brief, I wouldn't hesitate to return for more flat rate boxes, shipping services, or office supplies. Walked in yesterday looking to buy a phone case. There was a clerk directly across the entrance sitting on a chair reading, engrossed in what looked like a comic book she got from a stack nearby. I can't recall if she told me hi or not. But she was "too occupied" with her reading to bother asking if I needed any help. I approached her to ask a question then went back to the aisle with the phone cases then left. Poor customer service. I should say, no customer service. At one point, this was one of my favorite places to shop. I never buy gift cards here even though they have a variety. Bought a Pizza Hut one before, years ago. When I gave it away as a gift, the recipient told me they couldn't use it. The gift card has to be taken to a place to get validated first. Something along those lines. Stopped buying gift cards ever since that experience. I also stopped shopping at Office Depot online. Had a bad experience once where I was charged for more items than I bought. I was only able to go back and cancel one of them. Apparently, customer service emailed me to say I had 3 accounts. Not the case. My recent visit was for a custom address stamp you can get while you wait and it's only $20 and it lasts for a long time. It's a Brother brand. It's a good deal. I went there on an evening and Business Services section was already closed. They only operate until 5pm daily and closed on Sundays. They say they are short handed. So call before you get there. Over Thanksgiving weekend, dropped by to get my supplies! Shopping list: Binder, Dividers, Sheet Protectors, 2013 Planner / Calendar... Um I think that's it. When it comes to supplies, I become really picky and walk back and forth comparing various brands and prices until I am truly satisfied. Lol. The first thing I looked for was a binder, specifically one that had a zipper. Fancy right? But I knew they would be expensive so I ended up getting the generic half binders that were on sale. The next item I went looking for were the Sheet Protectors. Choose the non-glare and that came in 50 not 25. I compared prices and thought the 50 would be the better deal (in the long run). It took me a while to figure out which Dividers I wanted since it specifically had to be visible when others are looking through my content. I had to pick between the 5 or 8 pack and picked the 8. Once again on the safer side and it's better to have more than less, at least in the situation. Lastly, next year's planner. I know, I know, why am I picking one out already? Cause I'm already there and I might as well select one. I wanted to get a similar one I've had in previous years but the selection wasn't great. When I did find something in particular I liked... I didn't like the fact that the times start and end at a certain time. Planner you do not know me! I choose a smaller one this time around. Breaks my purple cycle, aw. Ha ha. On a final note, mom had a coupon of $10 off if you spend a certain amount. We didn't make that amount with all the supplies I held so she added a box of paper? I bought new ink cartridges a couple months ago. They worked fine at first. Now all my colors aren't printing out ! Ran some tests, had the cartridges cleaned.... Found out my cartridges expired in 2009!! 5 years ago! Unbelievable. Also the sales associates do not know their merchandise. 3 different people helped me. First one sent me home with the wrong cartridges....had to come back and return them. The others didn't care about their job. I usually don't complain but after this happened I must.
