Yes we know it's a warehouse type setting but it'll also be nice to have staff asking us if we need help instead of jumping into me like I'm going to shop lift! Hey I was a store detective I know your staff intentions! Why in the huge warehouse I picked one pen and a set of pens for my work is not right when a staff came into where I stood? This place is huge!! I'm more accustomed to the Kaka'ako location where the first thing you see are pens as you walk in, here there was the load of calendars soon as you walk in the automatic doors to the air-conditioned area which I didn't expect. There are two young staff working their best to put together a shelf they were polite but am obvious they were just there. Ah though as you enter the main area gosh I was surprise how massive it was...they have patio furniture for sale here lol! Everything and more are found here but it's so huge I wasn't in the mood for the hunt and actually found myself in the lamp section as that for some reason impressed me more than anything. Yes they are pricy though for what they do is something I almost walked away with. One that was on special had a magnifier attached to the head of the lamp making crafting less of struggle to squint, others had USB slot, various light setting and majority took just a few inches of space...love! I actually came here because mom had some items she was searching for and when I was aware of it actually talked her out of it out of not needed it only a just in case wasn't a situation we didn't need. Bought my kids school supplies the ending of july fast forward to 8/25 my kids teacher finally got around to using this certain supply and it didn't work at all total defect took it back today with the receipt and was told that I couldn't return it because it was past the 30 days. This is my favorite place to shop for office and school supplies. Came in today to finish school supply shopping. Love their sales and they almost had EVERYTHING that I needed. They were pretty stocked with everything and I was very happy about that. This was the second time to this location and love it here. Their prices are reasonable and I also like looking at their office furniture supplies. This location is the biggest location on the island. They also have a separate section for teacher supplies and crafting in the back area. Their employees are always busy working and very helpful. I asked a male employee where something was and he walked me all the way to the aisle. This exemplifies great customer service! We love the Fisher store in kaka'ako so imagine our reaction to this huuuuge Fisher store in Mapunapuna. The furniture has an entire showroom with multiple spaces all to itself! As an educator and mental health specialist, I loved seeing all the learning materials in addition to the fun and wide variety of quality art and office supplies here. It feels great to be able to support local. There are many comments in these reviews about customer service. I'd have to say that I happened to interact with some pretty friendly teens but there were definitely some grumpy workers. I really appreciate that Fisher Hawaii stores give chance to younger workers and those with disabilities. When I did ask for a business application, it was met with confusion and took some time but eventually I got it. I would suggest coming here when you have a bit of space in your schedule. Been years since I shopped here! I bought my desk and bookcase back in 2007 and was very happy with that purchase. Looking for an office chair for my Dad and Aaronn was very helpful. At first I was going to buy a stool with backing since my Dad suggested it would be small and fit the space - Aaronn asked how old my dad was and said chair arms are a better choice for seniors to keep them stable while they sit and get up - plus you have to be careful they don't slip from the chair wheels. All their chairs with wheels don't have wheel locks. But luckily our chair is on carpet so no slipping. Went with the Black Vinyl Economy Chair with arms. $97.77 + tax. Aaronn gave me my print out - Order Form. Check out was fast & pleasant. The Cashier directed me to Furniture Pick Up and said to show them my Order Form + Receipt. Furniture Pick up is across the Store Entrance / Exit - in the warehouse (same parking lot) Just had to give them my Order form + Receipt and sign their copy. Nice young man carried my item to my car. Found out they have a 14-day return policy for furniture in original packaging. Less refund if you open and assemble. They also charge $15 to assemble for you but you have to return in a few days to pick up.... no thanks. Went to fisher Hawaii to buy some Manila envelopes. This Mapunapuna location changed their floor plan a little . First of all their front entrance is normally located right next door to CPB Bank. Now the entrance is located next door to Masa Cafeteria . If you need hand sanitizer they have a wide selection of hand sanitizer. Different sizes from small to large pump gallon sizes. I was surprised to see they also have alcohol available because that's normally hard to fine . Especially they have 70% proof and first time I seen 99% proof . CDC recommends that the alcohol has to be at least 70% or more to kill the virus. Be careful because there some alcohol 65% proof. They also sell disposal mask at a reasonable price 50 mask at $12.99 they normally run about $19.99 or more. The only thing about this location I observed was the associates was not very friendly and did not acknowledge you when you first walk in or ask if you need any assistance? I was walking around in the aisles for about 10minutes and no one came by to ask if I needed assistance. From an art teacher's point of view...Most of the time they are out of stock of high demand items like sharpies! Sometimes the shelves are very empty! Also since this is the only store to carry educational items please carry more than one brand. For example there's only Prang paint (that's not washable)! You could carry Sax or better quality tempera paint! Or they have not so good watercolors...yes it's affordable but it's really the worst brand out there! Please carry Crayola Educational Watercolors! Also there's no Posca pens or high quality bulk paper for art! She rang up my two items that were different (Sharpies with different thicknesses) as the same item. One cost a little (only10 cents) than the other but both were rung up at the higher cost. Note: it's not always easy to read the items and prices on their cash register screen so I missed it. I didn't notice until I had paid (cash) and was given the receipt. I immediately informed the cashier, who scanned the two pens and saw they were two different prices. She stared at the receipt and asked me, "so how much change should I give you back?" (Huh?). I told her, and she reached towards her cash drawer, and saw that she'd already closed it. There was one customer waiting, and she asked me if I minded waiting so she could ring up the customer, because she would need to get the manager to give me my change. It was a small amount of money, and not really a big deal but I just felt it wasn't good customer service from now watching for customers to call them over, not friendly, not scanning the two items individually, to asking me how much change should I get, to asking me to wait. I chose to just say, "never mind." Ashamed that I was a bit gruff, but I wasn't going to wait for her to ring up the other customer for a few cents. I'm guessing (only a guess - but I've managed cashiers in a former life) she initially was going to just give me back the amount over charged since I paid in cash, but that would have made her short in her cash drawer if she did that, or unless she was going to take the time to void the transaction later and get the right pens from the floor and re-ring the transaction. OR just put her own money in to cover the refund to me. I'm more forgiving on unfriendly service but not inappropriate cashiering so it bothered me. It's hard to get good staff so I am sympathetic. (Unless Fisher just has a certain $ tolerance for not balancing?) I'll still shop here, overall it's a great place and I think I'd rate it 4 stars most of the time. Huge store with a giant selection, but the mostly young staff could probably use some coaching on customer service. Namely, that it is a giant store, simply crammed with merchandise, and customers would benefit from some initiative and helpfulness. I walked in with a pretty short list of specific items that I needed, and let the young lady at the register know it was my first time in the store. She gave me some general directions on where to find things, so I set off looking and spent 10 minutes not finding any of what I wanted. Short on time, I kind of gave up and began to leave. Incidentally, on my way out, I passed the young lady who I had spoken to in the beginning. She asked me if I found everything, and I replied, somewhat exasperated, but in a friendly way, that I couldn't find any of what I was looking for. For parking, there are two parking lots. I prefer to come on the weekend because it seems less crowded than on the weekdays. They have everything and anything you can think of! From paper, staples, paint, borders for the wall, to even chips in this store. I love the fact that when you are shopping on a Purchase Order (but need to get an invoice first) they are able to hold the items for you until your PO comes in. Some stores don't do this at all. At the very end I asked about electrical tape. You definitely need to be literate because the tape row has every type of conceivable tape there is. I certainly was able to find everything that I had on my list. It may take a while to meander through the aisle so if you need, there is a restroom by the cashiers when you enter. I came here two weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. I was tasked with an important mission to buy school supplies from my list. This huge store has it all. Erasable pens (check), comp books (check), highlighters (check), filler papers (check), potential exposure to Covid (check, check, check). No joke, this place was really crowded when I was there. Instead of waiting their turn, people would squeeze next to me and reach over my shoulder to get the supplies they need. I get that nobody wants to waste their precious time, but come on people! Even before Covid, I value my personal space. Now that our Covid cases have increased again, I am back to being vigilante about keeping a safe distance because I refuse to revert to the days when businesses were shutdown and our keikis had to do online learning. End rant... Anyway, the cashier who helped me was very friendly and social distancing was enforced at the cash register. The prices for their school supplies are priced a couple of cents cheaper than Walmart, Target, and Office Depot for items that are on sale. Prices for regular items are a little on the high side, but is typical for Hawaii. The nice thing about this place is that it's huge and most of your school/office supply needs can be found here. A huge plus since inventory for school supplies at Walmart and Target are very low this year due to them placing orders based on their sales from the previous year. And as we all know, since most kids did online learning last year, sales were low in 2020. Anyway, if you can't find comp books anywhere else, call Fisher. REVIEW FOR ONLY THE FURNITURE SHOWROOM: My mom & daughter went on another day because she wanted a desk for her. She took a photo of it & when I was off the went with them. Before we started heading there I wanted to call to see if it's still there since it was a clearance item. I called & described it as " a black desk on clearance for $145 with 2 selfs above it" I don't know the guys I talked to but told me they don't have that item I was saying but we still went. Right when we entered the showroom (mind you the furniture SHOWROOM is not big at all) & it was right there & we explained to them that we called & you said it's not here. The other older guy gave attitude saying "it's called a latter desk" really?? My description wasn't good enough? That was LITERALLY the only black desk that was on clearance for $145. We seen a free delivery (unassembled items). I asked when's the next available day for delivery & he said Monday. I told him if they can deliver AFTER 3PM. & the younger guys said "yea I will note that down for them". Today is Monday & I got a call during work around 1:300pm say that they are outside. I've lived near this Fisher Hawaii for over 20 years and this is the first time coming here. Needed some office supplies so stopped here. It's pretty big, there's 2 entrance to this place. Walking in the front entrance you'll see party decors, bags, stickers and arts and crafts things. Towards the side you enter there's the office supplies and off of that there's a office equipment area. I didn't realize how big this place was. There's a lot of things all over so you gotta look around. There's sale items here and there as well. Pretty pricey on some things, some are discontinued or little older/wear and tear on the packaging so they're listed anywhere from 25-40%off. I just picked up a few things and cost me $68 and some change. They have cute little Vornado fans for $18.00 which i bought for my bathroom They have bigger stand up Vornado fans on sale right now $60. I thought it was a little confusing as i walked around. You'll see art and crafts like paints and brushes and one aisle over there's crack seeds or oriental candies goodies aisle after that is more Art boards/brushes etc. I think they're in the process of moving things around. NotSure! It's a great place for back to school things and personal project or crafting. Ben franklin is 5 minutes away so keep in mind when buying these arts and crafts here. Asked an employee (Sean) in the clearance furniture section if he had a tape measure I can use, he simply responded no and went on putting something together. I browsed the floor room for approximately 40 minutes waiting for his assistance. A female customer almost purchased the clearance item I was looking at then a very helpful associate named Van helped me out. He grabbed a tape measure and showed me various options and introduced me to another associate by the name of Ken.... who assisted me as well and was extremely helpful. With the amount of unemployed people COVID has affected I highly recommend Fisher use this opportunity to filter out their weaker employees as maximize personnel more like Van and Ken....if not for them I probably wouldn't have bought anything. read more

I was blown away when I went into the entry at the massive selection. Then when I asked if they had "Hello my name is" tags - I found out there was a whole other room. It is huuuuuuge. I will definitely be coming back to this little gem of a store. I decided since I was there to see if they had supplies for my Starbucks mermaid lady costume - they had everything except the tiera. But the friendly worker walked me outside & showed me where Ben Franklin was just around the corner. Parking is tight, but there is more parking around the corner. I've been here twice in the last week and the guys in the furniture section are super helpful! Van especially took the time to really help us, we ended up buying a computer chair and my son loved it so much we returned for an additional chair and a gamer desk. Both times all the men in the furniture section gave stellar service. The cashier however not so much and the guy in the pick up was rude. In the end though we got our items and we love them. Here are some interesting facts: 1. If you build your furniture and try to return it, you will not get the full refund amount, your looking at least a 10% deduction. If it's still in the box you can get a full refund but it has to be within 14 days. 2. If it's a clearance item and the last one you cannot put it on hold. It will come already built and taken to the pickup for you to take it home. 3. Their hours have changed but I didn't see them posted so double check. read more

They do have great deals in their ads and lots of choice in lots of things. I do think some of the prices are way inflated and Amazon would be a better option. Auwe! Went to return a purchase after two chaotic months to return a $9.40 purchase of gift takeout boxes. They said they have a 30 day return policy. That's okay. I get it. So I looked at my receipt, looked at the cash registers. Didn't see any mention of return policy. So I went back to the manager and said that I wanted to refute my case. He said we have signs at the registers. When he showed them to me, they were on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper in small print where you can't really see it. Hi Yeeps! Teri Y and I are cruizing the new Mapupu (our slang for Mapunapuna) store and the wagon is getting full. Let's go back a bit. When approaching the new store from mauka, there is a small parking lot clearly visible from the street. This will be called E1. The second parking lot is the next driveway AFTER the "out" driveway of E1. As you drive in, there is a warehouse on the left, and FH second entrance will be called E2. E1 entrance takes you into the arts & crafts department. Yes, this part of the building is air conditioned. There is a handicap restroom dirctly to the right of the registers. Walk along side, turn right and turn right again for the men's & women's restrooms. E2 entrance's restrooms are located just inside the door, to the right. E2 entrance will take you into the familiar warehouse setting. Now that we have that out of the way, on to the rest of the store. It is like a casino in Vegas; arranged to keep you inside. Be prepaered to be here a while, wandering around trying to find thing and your way out. Who knows, you may end up with a wagon/basket full of NYN's, like us! I am a bit disappointed by the merchandising. I have been here a few times since they opened, for 1/3 cut manila folders with no luck. This is not a specialty item and should be in stock... ALWAYS! Okay, I haven't been to Fisher Hawaii in a long while, I haven't bought school supplies in forever and today was the day we decided to get ahead of everyone else before the back to school rush comes in. We entered the warehouse and we were greeted immediately by a young man. He was very nice and helpful. So welcoming! Thank you! I forgot my sons school supplies list at home, so I had to turn to my phone. For me, I rather have the paper on hand so I can cross the items out. I remember they usually would have printed supplies list by the cashiers but I guess they didn't have it out yet because it's too early to shop. I just asked the same young man that greeted us, he mentioned they didn't have it out yet but he'd be happy to print the supplies list for me on their computer! Omg wow, another thumbs up for this one. So helpful!
