Dropped by to try this gelato place and I'm glad we did. They have classic flavors, but everything tasted really good. I got the green apple and peach mango combo -- super refreshing, especially on a humid day. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Definitely a nice treat to cool down with. Will definitely come back for it.
Another 7gradi visit that didn't disappoint! I love how fresh and fragrant their vegan fruity flavors are. This time I got single cup with half raspberry dark chocolate chips and tangerine. Both vegan, both delicious, and unfortunately they were so good I inhaled my gelato in .25seconds. My only ask is can we PLEASE have some more savory vegan options? My favorite is always the vegan dark chocolate gelato and I would be ever so grateful if that was always on the menu
Stopped in for a sweet treat and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was! There was a great variety of flavors to choose from, and the whole place smelled amazing thanks to the fresh handmade waffle cones. We did have to wait a little while because of the line, but it was easy to see why it's so popular. The wait was worth it, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They're seating right outside, which was the perfect way to end our night. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors. Bonus points for the convenient parking in the SALT at Our Kakaʻako parking structure nearby!
Small little gelato place in SALT Kaka'ako. This place is the real deal! The gelato is soooo smooth and creamy and there's so many flavors to choose from. And the flavors aren't your run of the mill flavors-marscapone, toasted marshmallow, black sesame and more. We opted for a single scoop but you can have 2 flavors-we got the green apple which was perfectly tart and the dark chocolate -wow, it's a must get. The single scoop was $6.90 but it was a pretty big single scoop. I see they have French waffles too. Def coming back to try that and more flavors. I think this place is on its way to becoming my favorite gelateria! Buono da morire!!!
I have to admit - gelato isn't always my sort of thing. While I certainly enjoy it, it doesn't hit the same for me as a more classic scoop of ice cream does. However, after my friends suggested grabbing some gelato at 7Gradi after lunch, I couldn't say no. For one, I was intrigued by what types of interesting flavors and concoctions we might find, but also because a nice, cold dessert is always a fantastic decision on such a warm day! Although it may not be tucked away in some corner of the complex, 7Gradi is somewhat easy to miss if you aren't paying attention. Not hard to see why given how there's just enough space inside for a half dozen or so folks to order/pay. Similarly, the menu isn't very extensive either, but they still have a solid mix of about fourteen different flavors, as well as a few flavors of waffles to go with your scoop(s). Also, even though they may not have any seating of their own to offer, there are a bunch of tables right outside with umbrellas that provide some shade, too! -- PEACH MANGO Of the two, I thought this one was far better. The flavor of both the peach and the mango was strong yet neither overwhelmed the other (or my other flavor). Plus, I loved how smooth and silky the gelato was (even smoother and silkier than other gelatos I've had). -- BANANA CREAM Not too shabby, but this was more solid than spectacular. While the consistency of this one was just as smooth, the flavor wasn't quite as remarkable. Mostly, the taste of the banana felt a little muted and, for some reason, it tasted more like banana than banana cream. With regards to the service here, after reading multiple reviews about what others have experienced, it seems as though it can range from great to seriously lacking. Thankfully for us, it seems as though we got lucky and ended up coming on a good day - not only was the girl who helped us really friendly, but she was also super patient, helping us to sample multiple flavors before we eventually got about a half dozen orders. That being said, between the steady flow stream of customers that were stopping in and how she seemed to be the only one working, I wonder if understaffing could have something to do with it. Since this is the only gelato shop I've been to in Honolulu, I can't say how 7Gradi compares to others, but they feel like a pretty decent option. Plus, it's great how unique some of their flavors are, like Mascarpone Oreo and Farm Cheese, and how their offerings change with the seasons. I'd still prefer to get some shaved ice or perhaps a scoop of classic ice cream instead of gelato, but the next time I'm here at the SALT complex, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back again. All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded up.
Won a gift card at the Pinch of SALT event yesterday. Stopped by to redeem it since I'm in the area. We walked around in circles in the drizzling rain coz we missed the sign (smh). It's located across from Kahala and next to Lonohana Chocolate (as of Dec 2025). It's a little grab-and-go gelateria. The gelatos are in individual mixers. It's a pretty big variety of flavors with familiars (mint chocolate, chocolate, red velvet) and unfamiliar (rice, tangerine, green apple) etc. i had my mind set on mango yogurt and maybe lilikoi lemon but i decided to sample rice. It tastes nothing like cooked white rice haha and more like sweet cream. So I got that and tangerine. I really like the tangerine! $6.75 for a cup of up to two flavors. You can sample up to two flavors as well. You can add toppings for 50 cents per. The girl working today is friendly and welcoming. There are covered tables and seats in the courtyard area outside for folks to enjoy their gelatos. (And the umbrella coverage is sufficient enough to keep the chairs dry-- great design!)

I had a hard time choosing but settled on biscoff and cheescake. The flavors worked well together. The biscoff was subtle and not overwhelming. I can't wait to come back to try more!
I came here for dessert on a Saturday evening after a nice dinner at Lani Sot upstairs. 7gradi has a rotating mix of 14 flavors all of which are a great mix of sweet, tart, or a combo of both. They also sell containers in a small freezer near the register. I got the single scoop with two flavors and selected Oreo mascarpone and toasted marshmallow. I appreciate that they offer 2 samples each since there are so many intriguing options. My daughter got ube and toasted marshmallow, my sister got biscoff and toasted marshmallow, and my husband got mango yogurt and ube. Everyone really liked theirs flavors. The toasted marshmallow was really subtle and unique and pairs well with bold flavors. It's so creamy and melts quickly so have your table picked out or begin eating immediately. Overall taste was really good and there are so many other flavors I would like to try next. Would also like to try their waffles. I've read people have had both excellent service and not so excellent. Unfortunately ours fell on the not so friendly side that night, but it's end of the night and the service industry is not easy so I get it. It would not deter me from trying again.

I've never had such a smooth, flavorful gelato in Honolulu until I tried 7Gradi Gelato. They're always changing their flavor lineup that's filled with unique flavors like Rice, Toasted Marshmallow (my favorite!), Guava Yogurt, and more. I got their Strawberry flavor, which is surprisingly refreshing, not too sweet, and very light. They also have sweet waffles that you can get with your gelato. Vibe: The workers are always very friendly. There's lots of outdoor seating and they have a small cooler on the side of the restaurant where you can purchase pints of gelato to take home. Parking: SALT Kakaʻako offers free parking in their parking structure for the first hour (no validation) and paid parking with validation for parking longer than one hour.
First time here! My friend suggested we get some dessert after our dinner since she said this place was good and wow it was so good! I got the single cup where you can get up to 2 flavors so i got a green apple gelato and a Mango yogurt gelato, Both were really good. The flavor was amazing as well as the creamy texture. This place gets crowded so they ask you to choose your flavors outside for faster service. I think next time i have to get a double instead of a single!
Small shop with a good sized line at peak times. There's a good assortment of flavors. Sometimes though you'll need to wait 10 minutes or so as the gelato is being made. There's plenty of outdoor seating. I got the mango and guava yogurt. So yummy and delicious. I loved the texture. Super creamy and stretchy. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, 7Gradi Gelato is a good place for some delicious gelato.
7Gradi is one of my favorite gelato spots on Oahu, conveniently located with free 1 hr parking at the SALT complex in Kaka'ako. You can ask for flavor samples here which is really nice. I decided to have their peach mango which was nice blend of sweet, tropical, and tartness. I also really like their guava and yogurt flavors too, but it wasn't anything option this time around. Overall, their gelatos are bold, rich, and creamy with large portion sizes. Highly recommend! read more
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Craved a sweet treat after lunch. Walked over to 7Gradi. The guy who helped us was amazing and encouraged us to try different flavors. We got the biscoff, ube, and mango passion fruit, which were all delicious. The biscoff was my personal fave. I also got to sample the strawberry, which was very refreshing. We enjoyed our gelato on the communal tables outside of the shop. This place had good gelato and great service and I definitely recommend! read more
7gradi is the perfect way to end the night after grabbing dinner at one of the neighboring eateries! I love the light and airy texture of their gelato and all the unique flavors. Rice has always been my favorite because of its slightly sweet and plain flavor. I also got the biscoff, and it tasted just like the cookie! Service here is friendly and quick. There's lots of outdoor seating for you to enjoy your ice cream. Just want to add that the new parking system here sucks. The QR codes are confusing, especially if you don't know how long you're going to stay for. It's also way more expensive than before. I used to love coming to all the places in SALT because it was convenient and parking was cheap. I cannot say that's the case anymore. Other than the parking, this is the perfect spot for a sweet treat! read more

Great friendly quick service. The gelatos are churning the whole time making it super creamy and thick the rice was my favorite! Ube was amazing. My boyfriend loved his biscoff and cookies and cream. Wish it was t so far from us we'd come back! read more

I am not normally a "sweet" eater and I rarely eat ice cream but when I'm at Salt I always have to get Gelato. This last time we got Strawberry, my honeys choice, and I chose Mango Yogurt. Both were really good. The strawberry was perfectly tart and the mango was nice and smooth. I like that you can see them all churning away. Definitely a must if you're looking for dessert! read more
Nice place to stop in after dinner. Ended up ordering Marscapone Oreo and Riso. Loved the (Riso) Rice; Reminded me of White Rabbit Milk Candy. The mascarpone was delicious as well. Honestly i wasn't even hungry after eating tacos but so glad we stopped by here! After all the years of coming to SALT I never had the chance to try them out. I had the grapefruit and lilikoi single in a cup and it was tart and soo refreshing! The lilikoi had actual seeds in it! I'm personally not a fan of them but my friend was more than happy to take them from me. She had the cheesecake gelato which was light on the cheesecake flavor but she still enjoyed it! No indoor seating but plenty of outside tables to enjoy on. Also a great option if you need validation for parking in the structure. read more
The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They were more than willing to let us have samples. It's a small to go spot, so no indoor or outdoor dining area. All the gelato tasted very flavorful. I was quite surprised by the guava yogurt gelato, which was very rich in gelato and yogurt flavors. My go to is the rice and mango gelato. It was a perfect pairing. The rice gelato had bits of rice in it. I liked that a lot. Unfortunately, it might not be everyone's cup of tea, so be forewarned. The waffle was delicious! I highly recommend it. This was my first time here and won't be the last. read more

I got the strawberry and sour apple! It definitely had that gelato texture! This ain't my first time going, but the first time I went I had the waffle cone and it was soo good! The cashier was so nice to offer me the left over waffles just because I went right before closing and they had made a whole lot! Would definitely come again! read more

Highly recommend this place in SALT if you're craving a sweet treat and you're in town! I've been here several times already and have brought many friends here after grabbing food in the SALT area or nearby. There are many different flavors you can pick from and you're allowed to sample them before making your pick. Usually I'm not super hungry when I'm here so I go for the single scoop which allows me to get 2 flavors. They offer larger sizes and have pint sizes in a freezer. There are tables outside you can sit out to enjoy your sweet treat or can walk around eating it. There is a parking garage nearby and you can get the ticket validated here or neighboring restaurants. read more

Came here because we tried their mascarpone at the owner's other spot, Tonkatsu Kuro. I love the texture of their mascarpone. It's super nice and creamy, and the flavor is great as well. They offer a lot of unique flavors to choose from. I think they run a rotating menu since I didn't see some of the flavors mentioned in older reviews, but the selection is still plentiful and diverse. You can choose up to two flavors for the small size and three flavors for the large. The service was awesome. They're happy to give samples, and honestly the hardest part is deciding which flavors to pick. This is definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the mood for a cheat dessert. read more
7gradi is still a favorite whenever I am in the area. I love bringing visitors here because they can try high quality gelato in local flavors. My go to now is the dark chocolate sorbet because i can no longer have dairy. My friends have tried the strawberry and mango and they a both so fresh! Parking is validated! Remember to bring your ticket. I like to visit the small shops in the area while I enjoy my gelato. read more

7Gradi is one of my favorite spots at SALT (I'm guilty of being a sweet tooth). I got the passionfruit sorbet and strawberry yogurt this time--both super fresh and flavorful. The sorbet was tangy and refreshing, and the yogurt had a nice creamy balance. I also had the cinnamon waffle, which was warm and lightly crisp, and paired perfectly with the gelato. Definitely recommend getting the waffle if you want something extra. The staff here are always friendly. The girl who helped me offered a second spoon and even a pup cup, which was a nice touch. They're also great about offering samples if you're not sure what to pick. I just wish they had more classic and authentic "Italian" flavors, like a stracciatella or something. I keep looking for that every time I come back. Clean interior, plenty of outdoor seating, and just a solid spot overall. If you're in Kaka'ako and want a sweet treat, this place is always a good choice. read more

This adorable gelato shop may be modestly decorated, but it's incredibly welcoming. I decided to play it safe with a cup of chocolate and mango, while my adventurous friend boldly went for the Riso (rice) flavor. Rice-flavored gelato? If I was wearing pearls, I would have clutched them. After some convincing, I took a bite--and wow. I was immediately smitten with the subtle, creamy, and slightly sweet flavor. It was such a delightful surprise! My chocolate and mango gelato was also yummy! One of the perks of visiting Hawaii is having local friends who encourage you to embrace the culture through unique culinary experiences, and this was a perfect example. I absolutely adored this little shop and now find myself daydreaming about that Riso gelato all the way from the mainland. A must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of something special! read more

My favorite gelato place! Located in Salt kakaako they have ample parking and the service is always friendly. Favorite flavor is the Oreo mascarpone!!!! My fiance always gets the dairy free sorbeto (mandarin flavor is so good). They are a local business and make the flavors in house! Super fresh and we love it there! read more

Been there a few time and I come back because the gelato flavors are amazing! But today it was different, the person working today was outstanding!!! Her name was Tina, she offered me and other guests, taste tests and parking validation!!! Is this normal?! Should it be? Idk but I can say I was there this past Saturday, around the same time...roughly 2-3pm, and that younger worker was in a rush and couldn't wait to close the doors...(I would infer for a break because they work alone) and she just rushed everyone out...she didn't greet and didn't even smile. She gave me a total, no thank you and off to next person. Barely said a word. But not surprising many places are like that nowdays. Been there maybe a total of 4 other times and not once was I offered validation. I've always had to ask. So if that's the new norm of customer service, I don't even bother with a review...even if the food is good. Today what a total different experience!!!! Wow!! Outstanding friendly customer service! It was a really nice change! She even explained french waffles and the take home pints, of course I bought some and she wrapped it well!!! It came home perfectly and I traveled to Ewa. Overall, gelato is great! But add great customer service and you get a happy family and happy day! read more

One of my favorite gelato spots on the island -- 7Gradi is located in SALT in Kakaako with garage and street parking. The gelato is yummy and the waffles are too. The flavors are a good amount of sweet with a greater depth of flavor than a lot of other gelatos that I've had. The space is tiny but it's a good treat to walk around SALT with. The service has been fast and they've been kind each time we've been. We hope this place sticks around SALT for a while! read more

Is this dairy free?? I bought the dark chocolate yesterday and need to know for a person sensitive to dairy?
Unless it's marked as dairy free or sorbet, assume it's diary based. While there are dairy free desserts styled like gelatos, real gelato can't be dairy free. My friend asked and the staff also stated only the sorbets are dairy free.
