This gelato joint is pretty new and is at the Ala Moana end of Waikiki. Clean, bright and loaded with different gelato flavors and options (they also have shakes, soft serve and Dole Whip), I hope this place sticks around! It's not quite visible from the street since it's at a sunken level beneath the Canterbury Place Condominiums, but foot traffic is a sure shot to spot this place. Parking is at a premium in this area, so walk if you can. The shop is usually run by one worker, but they're efficient, friendly and quick. Tables inside and outside, so take your pick..

Located on Ala Moana Blvd across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Island Market... It's kind of hidden because it's at the lower level or basement level but it's literally only a few steps down... I'm not much of an ice cream eater but really enjoyed the salted caramel gelato here. They have so many options and even offer the Dole whip (if you don't make it to the Dole plantation and want the whip...stop in here). Staff were very friendly and service was fast. Prices are reasonable and we definitely recommend!

Ice cream is great! Tons of flavors to choose from. We walked from the hotel but enjoyed it a lot. Service is great and they give you taste portions too! Will definitely be back. Laid back vibe.

We went here after eating at Kan Sushi. There we were tables and chairs to sit. It was difficult to decide what flavors to get due a huge selection. Employee gave us samples of flavors that we wanted to try. Our order was strawberry cheesecake and banana milk. From Amanda and Felix YT video on Kan Sushi, it mentioned that banana milk flavor was influenced by BTS Jungkook who loves banana milk drink.

The inside is super cozy

Atmosphere is so cute!! The service was great!!! And the gelato was so yum!!!! 10/10! This is our second time back to the island and we've met Sapphire both times she's the sweetest! Perfect fit for a dessert shop. Dani is also very nice and easygoing. The Salted Caramel is by far MY FAVORITE

Great place for dessert after dinner. The staff were very friendly. Nice small place to enjoy your dessert after dinner. There is a big selection of local and seasonal flavor ice cream. I had the guava and banana milk gelato. I tried the pumpkin flavor which was yummy. I got 2 scoops instead of 3 because I was full from dinner. If you bring your receipt from Kans Sushi you will get 10% off which is great.

The workers were so friendly and so patient with me and my friends when we came in after kan sushi. We sampled a few flavors and they have a lot to choose from! Love that there were plenty of choices. Apparently you get discount if you came from kan sushi upstairs, which was a nice surprise! It's nice and cozy inside. I liked my gelato. I got the strawberry cheesecake in the waffle cone. Definitely liked their waffle cones too!

I've always passed by this place but never had the chance to step in, and finally got that chance yesterday. There's a wide variety of gelato flavors and the workers were really helpful. I had the hazelnut coffee flavor, which comes with actually coffee bean bits, and milk & cereal. Both flavors were delicious! Looking forward to trying more flavors in the future! Check em out!

Gelato & Chill - The perfect name for this lovely gem located right below Kan Sushi & Kayak Cafe. A big banner or sign up front would help others see this place more. Comfy chairs and nice decorations inside. Over 40 different gelato flavors to choose from! A flavor for everyone.. We would have never know about it if not for dining at Kan Sushi, where they told us about this gelato place and got 10% off the order by showing our receipt. There was the most friendly and sweet worker named Garrett who let us sample before picking our flavors and chatted with us. He even asked us for our feedback for future flavors and we told him Earl Grey, Dragonfruit, Ube, and Hojicha would be unique gelato flavors. Double Scoop ($7.75) - Lavender Honey Crumble, Golden Eagle, & Whiskey Buttershots Very smooth, rich, and creamy. All flavors were delicious. My favorite was definitely the Lavender Honey Crumble, which is a flavor I've never seen before! The lemon crumbles goes so well with the lavender honey flavor. What a creative flavor. There's a stamp card too! We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

Not far from our hotel. I got the dole whip in a waffle cone and it was amazing it was pretty busy on a Friday night and only one person working. She needed help!

Friendly and helpful service. Be careful to check if gelato is frozen enough for your taste. Some were too warm (this soft) for my liking. Many ways to have your selections served: in a cookie sandwich, waffle cone, dish and with toppings. Enjoy!

The workers were nice and fun dancing music for the kids. The inside was clean and had a bathroom. I got Thai tea, hubby got pumpkin, our kids had mint chocolate and birthday cake. Great value just look for their sign.., you have to take a few steps downstairs to the front door

One of the few gelato places that have cookies and cream flavors with actual oreo chunks and not measly chips. Prices are reasonable and get a whole lot. Staff are very nice and a relaxed atmosphere.

You can also go to some shops in Waikiki but there service is meh and their prices are omg. Waiola Shave Ice is a local staple. It is tucked away in a neighborhood in Mo'ilili. They treat you like family and the service is speedy and with true Aloha spirit. The selection of flavors is great and they have any additional topping to offer you that you can think of. They do have a store to buy merch if you are into that and want a souvenir. They have a bench where you can sit and eat. There is also a decent parking lot but cars can only drive in one direction and need to back out to leave. I recommend parking at the local park that is a half block from here (check the signs for certain days/time where you cannot park), but it is a shady place with grass and trees to enjoy your goodies. Parking is more plentiful and easier to maneuver and there are plenty of places to sit. My family is a bunch of tough critics and this is now their new favorite spot to check out when we are in town.

Service was quick and friendly, I got the "Da Works" which is large size, comes with ice cream on the bottom, condensed milk drizzle, lychee jelly and mochi balls. Also has Mango, POG and lychee syrup. Serving was really big which I think justified the $10. Ice was super soft and syrups were tasty. They lost a star though because the mochi wasn't fresh, was quite hard in the middle. Would come back again, I want to try the Custard Bowl next.

It was too cold air condition like others said. The staff didn't even walk the heavy tray of four bowls over. I had to nervously carry it over to the table. There were MORE people who walked in, saw the very high price and walked out than there were people who sat down to eat. They charged double I think that what most people would except to pay. They charged $12 for a regular shaved ice. It's mainly just water you are paying for. I saw about 12 people walk in, be flabbergasted by the price and walk out. I would save my money and get local shaved ice for half the price elsewhere.

Ululani I've been to. Usually crazy lines and crowded. Nope walked right up. I have to say the Ululani empire is very consistent. Always feathery soft shave ice, generous amount of syrup, yummy mochi, and welcoming friendly service. On this stop I noticed they had a specials board adjacent to the usual menu. So I skipped my go to order of Coconut Lover and opted for the Lilikoi Cheesecake. Lilikoi syrup, shaved coconut, mochi, and a cheese cap. Loved it. This shop is fairly large. Ample seating with small tables and bar seating. Parking was simple with a small lot.
