This pricey dessert place seems to be gradually cutting corners. Customers are now getting less of the ingredients, especially the shaved peanuts. In fact, that key ingredient is what makes the burrito wrap so good. Reducing the amount inevitably affects the overall taste and quality of the dessert. I hope this is just an isolated occurrence and not becoming the norm. Otherwise, it may be difficult to justify spending our hard-earned money there.
The ice cream was average. Nothing special. Came here because I read all the glowing reviews. Order 3 scoops with the macadamia nut brittle, added a buck for that. I had cookies and cream, green tea, and starwberry sorbet. The ice cream was average, the sorbet was below average. Lots of large chunks of ice in each bite. The brittle didn't add much to the flavor in my opinion. Would I come back here? Probably not.
When I first arrived, there was no one at the front register, though I could hear staff talking in the back. A staff member eventually came out, but she returned to the back without greeting me or asking if I needed assistance, despite seeing me looking at the menu. I almost left, but I managed to get her attention and place my order. While the initial customer service was lacking, the food was excellent. Both the coconut and Kona coffee flavors were delicious, and the peanut brittle was a great addition that provided a nice crunch.
Came here with my cousins after they highly recommended it. Cute shop with some outdoor seating. We got a plain ol' chocolate ice cream with mac nuts, a beautiful addition and 2 small crepes with 2 scoops of ice cream and mac nuts as well. What a great idea! Love that extra crunch when eating the crepes. The service was so friendly and SO patient while we were trying to figure out what flavors we wanted in our crepes. Thankfully we beat the crowd that came after we got our order. One of the owners also came around with samples of a product they are wanting to roll out soon so that was a lot of fun to give them our input. Support small business while enjoying a delicious dessert and talking story! Will definitely be back!!
We meant to get the crepe but forgot to order it in that style LOL. But nonetheless, the scoops were absolutely delicious. Service 5/5 Simple, quick, standard. Food 5/5 I had honeydew while my partner had chocolate. The strawberries and flakes were a cute touch and overall really enjoyed it! Ambiance 5/5 A good amount of outdoor seating.
Husband got this and said it's a 10/10 and to write a review for them! I'm not a fan of peanut butter or nuts but I trust that if he saying it's good, then it's good! If you look at the right side of the building you can see a tv, they let you play ninetendo gaming that you can play
To beat the heat, I will go just about anywhere. Mosa is on Lauula Street in Waikiki, found between Royal Hawaiian and Seaside Avenue. This cute little kiosk has a delicious Taiwanese ice cream crepe that is covered in fresh shaved peanut brittle. There was a lot of seating and some music piped in for atmosphere. It was a nice touch to have access to playing some Super Smash Brothers while you waited. The ube ice cream was delicious and the peanut topping was good enough to convince me to buy a couple of bars for home. Friendly service can be found here and they were so understanding that it was my first time there and I couldn't decide. #bigboyproblems
Nice cute little place by UH Manoa campus. They offer 5% off with a UH ID and $1 off if you pay with cash. Their menu is basically 2 options: ice cream with peanuts and strawberries in your choice of a crepe or a cup/bowl. We did one of each. There's a variety of ice cream flavors ranging from ube to honeydew mochi and you can choose up to 3 flavors. You can also choose from peanut drizzle or Mac nut drizzle ($1 more). Once they scoop your ice cream, they have a little station where they scrape the peanut drizzle from a big block directly onto your ice cream. Fun to watch! I got the crepe and chose 2 ice cream flavors: blueberry cheesecake and chocolate. My mom got the cup with matcha ice cream. I really enjoyed the crepe! The peanut drizzle was nicely spread throughout the crepe and added a nice touch to the ice cream. The cup wasn't as good in my opinion though because the peanut drizzle was only sprinkled on top and not as generously spread. I would come again, but I would only recommend ordering the crepe option.
I've been wanting to try this place for so long and it was worth it! I love peanut brittle so I really don't think I could go wrong here. I wish I tried the crepe but I just want that hungry at the time. The ice cream in a cup with the shaved peanut brittle was super good. They are open late if you get a sweet tooth before bed or after walking around Waikīkī.
Love love love- service and best ice cream ever. Highly recommend! Sorry my pics suck bc we time dogs in before I remember to take the pics.
Cute ice cream shop tucked away in a random street. I like how they also have a video game area where you can just play Smash Bros on the side. Pretty fun! This was my first time trying, so we got the matcha ice cream, vanilla, and cookies and cream in the crepe style. We also added the macadamia nut topping to it as well. It didn't take too long for our order to prepare since I wasn't too busy. First glance, it generally just looks like an ice cream burrito lol. We were also sharing so it was kinda hard to eat haha. The cookies and cream and vanilla ice cream were pretty good! The matcha ice cream though, it just tastes like the basic matcha ice cream you get at a japanese restaurant, not really quite authentic, but just "matcha flavored". I felt like the crepe itself didn't really elevate the ice cream experience, nor did the macadamia nuts on it. It just felt like an ice cream burrito and not a fancy ice cream crepe. The ice cream was really nice for the weather though.
Every time I come to MOSA, I have an amazing experience. From the desserts and the atmosphere to the outstanding customer service, everything is always top-notch. Honestly, whenever I see a review that's 4 stars or lower I genuinely don't understand why. The entire staff is trained to provide exceptional service and even the owners take the time to check in with customers to make sure they're enjoying their visit. It's clear that they truly care about both their product and their guests. If you're looking for a dessert spot with incredible service, delicious desserts, and great vibes, MOSA is the place to be. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!
Great Hawaiian ice cream. Thick, creamy and delicious. Workers were very friendly, brought the ice cream to us, and checked to see how we liked it a couple of times. We added the grated macadamia nut topping for a little extra. Yummy!!

Our new favorite late night sweet treat spot!! We work in Waikiki and we were so excited find this spot. You don't always need alcohol after a rough night at work, ice cream works better sometimes! Our group loves coming for the crepes! 2 or 3 scoops depending on how rough out nights were. Lol. My fave combo of ice cream in my crepe is the Coconut & Kona Coffee. And oh my goodness, the peanut that they add on all of their items is DEVINE! So simple, yet so amazing! We've never had to wait long for our order, they have really fast service. And the staff is friendly too! We're going to keep coming here for our late night ice cream fixes! Oh, also, there are video games you can play if you're a paying customer! read more

Wow! From Service to Ice Cream...top notch! They make sure their customers are enjoying! We didn't get the wrap and just went with 2 scoops of ice cream. Vanilla and honeydew mochi topped with peanut brittle 10/10! And vanilla and Kona coffee topped with peanut brittle 10/10! Sooooo good! read more

Ohhh whaat! How did I not ever review mosa! Mosa is one of my favorite go to spots for desserts! I literally enjoyed everything I got there even tho it's $$. I just wish that they had better hours and opened earlier but I guess it works for them. They are dog friendly and will give them whip cream too. Parking might be a little hard tho but maybe you can pull to the side and order it really quick if you have a passenger. read more

I could see hupo not likin dis. But it broke da mouth. Original and delightful. Delicate and insightful. The crepe is so thin that I wondered how I couldn't see through it without my laser vision. I picked this pup up on a backstreet on my way to make my ladies night as I went out me ano way to make her night (I didn't but I thought I could - so naive like Steve from blue clues). Steve from blue clues, where'd he get those shirts? Love the guy but horizontal stripes... never in a milly years. You can tell this place is gonna curb stomp ya. You just know it's gonna slap ya meniscus sideways. Small joint and everyone had something new to order. Saw some scoops, saw some glistening strawberry da kine that looked busty and trusty. But when you see da crepe you get it. Real lovely dessert. Doesn't insist upon myself, simple yet complex. I picked up ice cream in my miniature mittens and scrambled down the sidewalk munchin like I was putting down a boiled dirty water sea dog in NYC. The coconut ice cream was rich and texturally sound - as was the crepe which stuck its finger tips to da cream and didn't let up. Strawberries fresh and sweet. Ube ice cream creamy and colorful. Was charmed and captivated by little crunchers that existed inside the wrap which added a grainy quality to the plethora of smooth reinforcements. This could've been a good dessert with an ok crepe, and ok ice cream and no additives. BUT Mosa has a great crepe, delicious ice cream and ingenuity. 5/5 - Would take her out for a 2nd date. And would put out... if you were wondering. If you weren't wondering (you were), let me leave you with something not wonder about. LB is happy as a clam tip toeing obesity on the side streets of wealthy Waikiki. read more

Tried the Taiwanese-style peanut ice cream wrap and loved it! I got mine with chocolate ice cream. They have other flavors too! The vibe is full of young energy and creativity. I love seeing the hustle, work hard while you're young and passionate so much. Great jobs, great teamwork! You can really feel the good energy between the crew haha The service is the sweetest they'll bring your ice cream to you wherever you are, even if you're just standing around or hiding behind the stand (yes, they'll find you ). That personal touch made it extra special honestly. Lastly, Check out this cool ice cream spot in Waikiki, open until midnight. Support local, support the next generation and treat yourself! Came here for the first time with my friends. I ordered the mini Mosa Wrap which is basically your choice of 3 scoops of ice cream sprinkled with their famous shaved peanut brittle block, wrapped in a crepe wrap with fresh strawberries. My ice cream choices were Kona coffee, coconut, and cookie and cream. They literally shave this huge block of peanut brittle into kind of powdery form and is sprinkled onto my ice cream before they wrap it. It's apparently super popular in Taiwan. I've never ever heard of this before, but it was weirdly delicious. I can't really explain or compare this delicious taste because I think it's unique. It doesn't taste like peanut butter or anything, but I highly recommend it. Overall, a little bit pricey for such a small item, but it's definitely worth trying at least once or a million times. The staff are super fast and friendly. By the time I paid for my order, I received my wrap lol. The owner Micki was super nice and shared what this awesome dessert was. The peanut brittle block is so huge, it'll take them a few days to shave through the whole thing. read more

This place is off the beaten path down a random side street in Waikiki and is very unassuming. Look for the bright yellow umbrellas. I was pleasantly surprised and loved this dessert place. The ice cream is super flavorful and wrapped in a crepe light tortilla with fresh peanut candy shavings on top. It sounds weird but was so delicious and unique. It was cool watching them shave the candy in front of us. I loved the ube and strawberry ice cream flavors... they were amazing. I'd definitely come back! A must try if you're in Waikiki! read more

First time trying Taiwanese inspired ice cream so that was cool! They have a peanut (or new macadamia nut) shaving that goes on top of your scoops. Flavors were good (I tried matcha 6/10, Ube (6/10) and coconut (7/10). I found the texture to be a bit too bubble-gummy. read more

The icecream here is good, we ordered the mini crepe style wrap with peanut sprinkle flavors (coconut, vanilla, ube). It's worth the try and also comes with 2 strawberries on top for decorations. The chocolate sauce & strawberries cup was good and fresh. We also got the frozen Tanghulu. Only in the yelp app I'm noticing they have a stamp card by the pictures shown. Next time I will ask for one. read more
Mosa is a tiny, unassuming ice cream shack in Waikiki that I found while wandering around in search of something sweet. Its stellar Yelp reviews drew me in--and I'm so glad they did. On my first visit, I tried single scoops of Matcha and Ube with peanut crunch and strawberry toppings in cute plastic cups. The texture is rich and creamy, and the best part? Not overly sweet. The vibe is relaxed and local--young, friendly staff and people casually playing video games. We went back on our last day in Waikiki and got a three-scoop cup (Ube, Chocolate, Vanilla). I loved this no-waste option more and once again, Ube stole the show. If you're in Waikiki, don't miss Mosa. It's low-key, delicious, and full of charm read more

This spot is located at a corner at the side of a small ally and kind of hard to find but once you find it you will be rewarded with some amazing ice cream with peanuts shaved on top! They grade the peanut brittle on top and that is a different twist! They have lots of great flavors of ice cream to choose from to pair it up with the brittle, so make sure to ask for extra! read more

The flavor, the aesthetic, the staff, it's absolutely everything! I sampled the ube, coconut, and pineapple and had the most difficult time deciding because all of it was soooooo delicious! I ended up letting my boyfriend choose, but he really couldn't go wrong. It comes in this cute little cup with a mini shovel for a spoon - talk about a great photo op. Typically I find that aesthetic foods don't taste that great which I cannot understand because why can't something look and taste good? So MOSA, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me evidence that it can indeed happen. By the way, fun fact? THERE IS A GAME CONSOLE ON THE SIDE THAT YOU CAN PLAY! I love when businesses add a little charm. Note: this is a walk up and order place, but there is outdoor seating read more

SO good. I've been missing Taiwan's iconic crepe ice cream street food you usually can find at night markets. I'm SO excited to finally see something like this in the states. We got the Mosa wrap (crepe style) and a 2 scoop. Tried these flavors: vanilla, coconut, matcha, coffee, and cookies and cream. The crowd favorites were matcha, coffee, and cookies and cream. We tried both the peanut topping and the macadamia nut (they gave it to us for free to try!!) and they were both so good. Would get macadamia nut again next time. read more

Amazing late night ice cream treat! The peanut brittle shaving added more depth to the flavor of the ice cream. Wow, what a dessert find this little shack has a creative spin on ice cream. They wrap the ice cream in a crêpe like wrap. It might be a little hard to find because it's located on the back alley of Styx Waikiki, the workers there can explain the menu to you and the different sizes that they offer. They also let you sample the ice cream for free. We ordered the ice cream in a crêpe. The flavors were strawberry coconut and Ube. The strawberry was definitely the best they make this in house and it tasted like fresh strawberries all the way through on each plate. They also add a homemade peanut brittle that was shaved down from a large log. Little bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth a try because it's very different from any other desserts that you will find in Waikiki. read more

We try really hard to support local businesses, especially in such a culturally such place such as Hawaii. The same three guys worked the counter the two times we visited MOSA during our trip. They were exceptionally friendly with us and our three children. They loved literally "shoveling" their ice cream! Our favorite flavors were ube and coffee. We also tried the mosa wrap, which my husband refers to as the "ice cream burrito." Super delicious, as was the shaving of peanut brittle over the top! If we lived closer we would be regulars here! Thanks for having us, MOSA team!! read more

I was so happy to hear that we have another late-night dessert spot in town! Mosa is a cute and casual place specializing in Taiwanese ice cream desserts topped with a powder freshly made from peanut candy. I tried their Strawberry Tanghulu, which is one of my all-time favorite treats. It was good, but to my disappointment, I paid almost $8 for just three frozen strawberries. Still, it was as delicious as I expected, but I know now to try one of their specialities instead next time! My friend ordered the Mosa Cup with Kona coffee ice cream, and the flavors were perfectly rich and sweet! The vibes of both the location and staff were fun and friendly, making this a perfect spot for families and college students. I definitely want to give this place another chance to try the Mosa Wrap! read more

My family and I were looking for some ice cream and found Mosa was open, this turned into one of my favorite spots in Waikiki. We tried the crêpe with ice cream and macadamia nut topping, absolutely incredible!! Honestly, I regret sharing with my husband because it was that good! We came back the next day and ordered the same thing, and it was just as perfect. The macadamia nut brittle is a must and what sets their dessert apart from anything I've ever tried before! Super friendly staff, amazing desserts, and definitely a place I'll visit every time I'm in Waikiki. Highly recommend!! read more
Mosa was a fun spot for ice cream. I got the chocolate ice cream scoop and it came served in a tiny green cup that looked like a flower pot with a mini shovel spoon super cute. I have to say, Mosa is hands down one of the best desserts I tried in Waikīkī. It's tucked away behind a parking lot but the bright lighting and pink exterior make it surprisingly easy to spot. I ordered the crepe with macadamia nut brittle, ube, and coconut ice cream, and it was absolutely incredible. The crepe itself was perfectly thin, and the combination of textures, from the crunch of the brittle to the creaminess of the ice cream worked together beautifully. Every bite felt balanced and thoughtfully put together. What really elevated the experience, though, was the customer service. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful while ordering, and even after we received our dessert, they continued to check in on us. They even offered to clear our trash, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff were genuinely warm and hospitable, and it made the whole visit even more memorable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Waikīkī! read more

SOOOO DELICIOUS !!! if you have a chance to come here, especially with Selena and Max as your servers, you will absolutely LOOOOVE it!! They were incredibly nice and wonderful servers from beginning to end Customer Service: I took a while to decide, but they didn't rush me or my group to order and gave me recommendations for flavors and what they like! After we ordered, they called out our name and walked out to hand it to us personally, which I thought was a really sweet touch compared to just over the counter :) Presentations: My friends and I all got different regular crepe style mosa wraps and they were perfect! The wrapping was done very well with nothing falling out while eating :) It was super cute with heart shaped strawberries on top too! Order/Flavors: My friends and I did different variations of kona coffee, honeydew mochi, cookies and cream, and ube. The coffee was a good middle balance of not too strong or too weak, coming from some who doesn't typically get coffee. Honeydew is yummy and sweet but not overly sweet!! Area/Location: The overall area is a little random but they have lots of seating options whether you want to sit at a table of 4 or a bigger table, if not single chairs are available too!! DEFINITELY recommend this place and I would LOOOOOVE to come back again if I can in the future! read more
My friends and I really wanted to try Mosa for their peanut topping. I got a scoop of the cookies n creme, and it came in a super cute cup with a spoon shaped as a shovel. The peanut topping added a nice nutty touch to the ice cream. The shop is super cute and there's a decent amount of seating outside. I saw some people playing super smash bros on a TV. We were unlucky with parking, so we had to drop some of our friends off and circle around. read more

We're always looking to try new places, and MOSA kept popping up on our social media feeds, which we took as a huge sign that we needed to check it out! Parking in Waikiki can be a hassle and pricey, so since we were staying for the long weekend, we knew it was the perfect time for us to visit. On our first night, we actually walked right by it because it was so busy! The line and the group of customers were spilling out into the street, which was a little intimidating. Luckily, we had it on our agenda for the next night, and it was just as busy. I guess that just shows how popular they are! Surprisingly, the line moved fairly quickly, and the customer service was on point. After ordering, we were like hawks, looking for a table to snag as soon as someone left. You could really see the care and love they put into each order as they made it, placing the strawberries on one by one to add that personal touch. They have such a fun atmosphere at their little storefront, and even though you have to wait for your made-to-order treat, people watching in Waikiki is always entertaining with all the unique characters that come out at night. Now for the best part, the ice cream! We each ordered two scoops wrapped in a crepe and all agreed that the peanut brittle added that perfect extra crunch that made this dessert even better. We heard they opened a storefront at Puck's Alley, so now that it's more accessible to us, we will definitely be going back again and more often! read more
