This pricey dessert place seems to be gradually cutting corners. Customers are now getting less of the ingredients, especially the shaved peanuts. In fact, that key ingredient is what makes the burrito wrap so good. Reducing the amount inevitably affects the overall taste and quality of the dessert. I hope this is just an isolated occurrence and not becoming the norm. Otherwise, it may be difficult to justify spending our hard-earned money there.
The ice cream was average. Nothing special. Came here because I read all the glowing reviews. Order 3 scoops with the macadamia nut brittle, added a buck for that. I had cookies and cream, green tea, and starwberry sorbet. The ice cream was average, the sorbet was below average. Lots of large chunks of ice in each bite. The brittle didn't add much to the flavor in my opinion. Would I come back here? Probably not.
When I first arrived, there was no one at the front register, though I could hear staff talking in the back. A staff member eventually came out, but she returned to the back without greeting me or asking if I needed assistance, despite seeing me looking at the menu. I almost left, but I managed to get her attention and place my order. While the initial customer service was lacking, the food was excellent. Both the coconut and Kona coffee flavors were delicious, and the peanut brittle was a great addition that provided a nice crunch.
Came here with my cousins after they highly recommended it. Cute shop with some outdoor seating. We got a plain ol' chocolate ice cream with mac nuts, a beautiful addition and 2 small crepes with 2 scoops of ice cream and mac nuts as well. What a great idea! Love that extra crunch when eating the crepes. The service was so friendly and SO patient while we were trying to figure out what flavors we wanted in our crepes. Thankfully we beat the crowd that came after we got our order. One of the owners also came around with samples of a product they are wanting to roll out soon so that was a lot of fun to give them our input. Support small business while enjoying a delicious dessert and talking story! Will definitely be back!!
We meant to get the crepe but forgot to order it in that style LOL. But nonetheless, the scoops were absolutely delicious. Service 5/5 Simple, quick, standard. Food 5/5 I had honeydew while my partner had chocolate. The strawberries and flakes were a cute touch and overall really enjoyed it! Ambiance 5/5 A good amount of outdoor seating.
Husband got this and said it's a 10/10 and to write a review for them! I'm not a fan of peanut butter or nuts but I trust that if he saying it's good, then it's good! If you look at the right side of the building you can see a tv, they let you play ninetendo gaming that you can play
To beat the heat, I will go just about anywhere. Mosa is on Lauula Street in Waikiki, found between Royal Hawaiian and Seaside Avenue. This cute little kiosk has a delicious Taiwanese ice cream crepe that is covered in fresh shaved peanut brittle. There was a lot of seating and some music piped in for atmosphere. It was a nice touch to have access to playing some Super Smash Brothers while you waited. The ube ice cream was delicious and the peanut topping was good enough to convince me to buy a couple of bars for home. Friendly service can be found here and they were so understanding that it was my first time there and I couldn't decide. #bigboyproblems
Nice cute little place by UH Manoa campus. They offer 5% off with a UH ID and $1 off if you pay with cash. Their menu is basically 2 options: ice cream with peanuts and strawberries in your choice of a crepe or a cup/bowl. We did one of each. There's a variety of ice cream flavors ranging from ube to honeydew mochi and you can choose up to 3 flavors. You can also choose from peanut drizzle or Mac nut drizzle ($1 more). Once they scoop your ice cream, they have a little station where they scrape the peanut drizzle from a big block directly onto your ice cream. Fun to watch! I got the crepe and chose 2 ice cream flavors: blueberry cheesecake and chocolate. My mom got the cup with matcha ice cream. I really enjoyed the crepe! The peanut drizzle was nicely spread throughout the crepe and added a nice touch to the ice cream. The cup wasn't as good in my opinion though because the peanut drizzle was only sprinkled on top and not as generously spread. I would come again, but I would only recommend ordering the crepe option.
I've been wanting to try this place for so long and it was worth it! I love peanut brittle so I really don't think I could go wrong here. I wish I tried the crepe but I just want that hungry at the time. The ice cream in a cup with the shaved peanut brittle was super good. They are open late if you get a sweet tooth before bed or after walking around Waikīkī.
Love love love- service and best ice cream ever. Highly recommend! Sorry my pics suck bc we time dogs in before I remember to take the pics.
Cute ice cream shop tucked away in a random street. I like how they also have a video game area where you can just play Smash Bros on the side. Pretty fun! This was my first time trying, so we got the matcha ice cream, vanilla, and cookies and cream in the crepe style. We also added the macadamia nut topping to it as well. It didn't take too long for our order to prepare since I wasn't too busy. First glance, it generally just looks like an ice cream burrito lol. We were also sharing so it was kinda hard to eat haha. The cookies and cream and vanilla ice cream were pretty good! The matcha ice cream though, it just tastes like the basic matcha ice cream you get at a japanese restaurant, not really quite authentic, but just "matcha flavored". I felt like the crepe itself didn't really elevate the ice cream experience, nor did the macadamia nuts on it. It just felt like an ice cream burrito and not a fancy ice cream crepe. The ice cream was really nice for the weather though.
Every time I come to MOSA, I have an amazing experience. From the desserts and the atmosphere to the outstanding customer service, everything is always top-notch. Honestly, whenever I see a review that's 4 stars or lower I genuinely don't understand why. The entire staff is trained to provide exceptional service and even the owners take the time to check in with customers to make sure they're enjoying their visit. It's clear that they truly care about both their product and their guests. If you're looking for a dessert spot with incredible service, delicious desserts, and great vibes, MOSA is the place to be. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!
Great Hawaiian ice cream. Thick, creamy and delicious. Workers were very friendly, brought the ice cream to us, and checked to see how we liked it a couple of times. We added the grated macadamia nut topping for a little extra. Yummy!!

Amazing little hidden gem! Went late last night for a little sweet treat with my boyfriend and it was soooo good! We each got a mini crepe; I chose matcha, ube and cookies and cream for mine, and my bf got coconut, ube and coffee. Both crepes were DELICIOUS! Staff was nice, and the space itself is charming. There were lots of people eating their treats at the tables and chairs. Highly recommend! read more
This place is a hidden gem and open late. I didn't get to picture the crepe cone because I devoured it right away. The strawberry tanghulu was absolutely divine. Perfect for after dinner or the bar. Line was pretty long but it's because it's worth it. read more

Went here after dinner in Waikiki because my sister in law wanted my husband and I to try it. We had the crepe with the kona coffee, chocolate, and cookies and cream. First off, everything comes out so fast! It was really good and they come out to give it to you. I wasnt expecting the taste! It was so good! I was thinking it would just be peanuts but it was like a brittle. My husband and I shared ours and it was perfect. My husbands nephews were playing I believe xbox?? The only thing I don't really know about is the parking because we just parked on the side of the road. But the workers were nice and so efficient! Its crazy cuz we didn't see it the last time we were in the area. But they have a lot of seating. Its a good late night spot! Would go back again! It is a small area but dont let that fool you! read more

Cute dessert shop; definitely a hole in the wall! The decorations and lights were very aesthetic, and the wall was covered in Polaroids, which I always find welcoming. There are plenty of seats, and they even have an area to play Smash on the Switch if you're waiting for your order. We ordered the frozen Tanghulu (cool concept, by the way). The strawberries were HUGE and very fresh--not too sweet, not too sour, with the perfect amount of crunch, and they kept us cool in the heat. The owner was super friendly and attentive; he even checked in to see if we enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. We didn't get to try their crepe icecream wraps this time (which they seem to be popular for) but we would definitely come back and recommend for icecream/fruity desserts! read more

I decided to check out Mosa upon viewing an Instagram reel about their desserts. To start off, Mosa is a cute and aesthetic dessert shop with only outdoor seating available. When I went, the space was decorated with cute fairy lights, and the ambiance seemed quite lively. I decided to order a mosa wrap, which comes with ice cream wrapped in a crepe paper (?) lined with peanuts. I ordered the coconut & pineapple mosa wrap, and I was slightly disappointed in my order. To be honest, it felt as if I was just eating ice cream as the crepe paper was very thin and lacked flavor. The pineapple ice cream was also quite sour, so I was not a huge fan of it. I did, however, enjoy the coconut ice cream, and I believe it paired quite well with the peanuts. Overall, I had an alright experience at Mosa. I likely will not return, but the service was impeccable! read more

If there is one dessert spot in Waikiki that I am going to miss the most, it is MOSA. Out of all the places I tried during my trip, this one stood out above the rest. They put such a unique twist on ice cream that my mouth waters just thinking about it. Instead of just getting a regular scoop, you can order what I like to call an "ice cream burrito." They scoop your ice cream into a soft, warm crêpe and top it off with crunchy peanut brittle. It is absolutely to die for. On top of the incredible desserts, MOSA has a fun little secret. It is also a gem for game lovers. Tucked to the side of the shop, there is a game console set up for guests to play while enjoying their treats. The customer service is just as amazing as the desserts. The staff were warm, welcoming, and even remembered who I was the second time I went back. That personal touch made the experience feel extra special. read more

This spot is to die for! Been dreaming about it since we had last summer. The peanut brittle is imported from Taiwan, the textures combined with the crepe and ice cream are just so good! Such a unique dessert and sounds like they're going to try to expand soon. Hopefully to come to the state side eventually! read more

This place is so slept on (literally and figuratively)! First off, they are only open in the evenings. If/when you want ice cream after a night out in Waikiki, this is the spot! We came here after dinner at Bario in Stix Asia which is the building that is right in front of MOSA. So if you don't know where to park, honestly, the best I can give is either park in the building of Stix and come here after dinner or park in the H&M building and pay the rate. I wish I could tell you the rate but that's my husband's job LOL According to him it's "not that bad." And we stayed for a few hours, so if you're just getting ice cream, you're covered. This place just screams unique from it's building, decor, and most of all - the ice cream topping! So yes, they serve ice cream but it comes with this shaved peanut topping - huhhh? Peanut and lychee sorbet?! Yes, that is what my husband ordered, but it works! Peanut topping + cookies&cream ice cream, sound weird...but it worked! It's definitely their signature that you gotta try. And they give you the cutest cup and spoon in the shape of a little plant pot and shovel that you get to keep! Best of all? Smash. Yep, super smash bros LOL. Shout out to the staff for playing a couple rounds with us. Don't worry boss, we waited for it to be slow and they asked their manager. Plus, we - as customers - requested it! Customer Service: 10/10 read more

We were looking for a sweet treat after dinner and stumbled upon this spot. I will say parking is difficult because nearby street parking is red curbed but there is a parking garage if you want to pay and be closed. We ordered the 3 scoop and shared it. It was delicious! My husband did say the strawberries seemed like they've been sitting out and we wish there were more peanuts on top but those are our only complaints. If you want good quality ice cream, go to MOSA! read more

I really contemplated gatekeeping this hidden gem but honestly, I think having come to Waikiki over eight times, this is the best ice cream experience I've ever had. We got the coconut and Ube crêpe regular size and it was gone in two minutes. I walked 18 minutes from the hotel and I can't believe how quickly I gobbled up this experience. The service is amazing and the vibe is truly a hidden gem. read more

5-star ice cream right here! The seating area is super cute, and there are games, including a Nintendo Switch, available for you to enjoy with friends. I ordered a three-scoop ice cream with lychee, matcha, and cookies and cream. At first, I was thinking how good can that peanut topping be?? but it turned out to be soo delicious. In my head, I was expecting a strong peanut butter-type taste but it was very subtle and sweet! The ice cream flavors were strong and the guy running the stand was super nice. He gave some great vibes and had a killer music playlist. The only downside was that the plate the ice cream came in got soggy after a while, so we tried to eat the ice cream faster. Great place with great vibes! read more

Came here after doing some window shopping around Waikiki. The vibes and aesthetic are so cute with their pink little building with glowing lights. It really pops out compared to the regular buildings next to it. The workers were nice and patient with our questions about the different dessert options. We decided on the regular mosa wrap. I didn't have that high of expectations since I thought the ice cream would make the wrapping soggy but I was mistaken! The creamy ice cream covered in the chewy wrapping with the crunch of the peanuts were absolutely delicious! Even my boyfriend was impressed and that's a lot since he's not a dessert person! I wish they had a parking lot but it's okay, still worth trying to find parking. Will be back to try their other options like their tanghulu! read more

Mosa is a small take out I've cream vender that serves limited Flores of ice cream. But the ice cream flavors are spot on, not diluted flavors or that, "taste like" flavors. No ice chips in the ice cream, very smooth and creamy. The service was excellent. Noah was our server. He was very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Noah! Give Mosa a visit just for dessert. The vibes here are amazing , the owners, employees all are really chill and down to earth. I go here 2-3 times a month for a sweet treat date with my girlfriend and they never disappoint. The last time I went, the owner came out from behind the counter to say hi to my dog, and gave him a free whipped cream cup. Not to expect that but It's the small things that make a place special. Amazing desserts, ambiance, & customer service! Been to MOSA many times & every experience has been nothing short but amazing! I highly recommend trying their peanut brittle, as it can pretty much make everything taste good. If it's your first time, I recommend trying the mosa wrap. I usually go for a scoop or 2 of ice cream with their peanut brittle for something a little lighter. When you go, ask for Mickey. You won't be disappointed! You can even play Super Smash Bros if you're up for the challenge & can even earn a free ice cream if you beat one of the workers! read more

I saw this place on Instagram and wanted to try it! We made our way here after dinner. We got their house special which is their Mosa. I don't get the crepe like wrap... the ice cream was good though. I got taro and vanilla...Super rich and creamy, and the peanut brittle crumble on top was a nice treat (I wanted more of that) but the crepe like wrap in my opinion was chewy, flavorless and reminded me of a chewy rice paper texture. You can skip the wrap. It kinda ruined it for me. I thought it was going to be mochi like. I wish I could have gotten a cup instead. I got the large and it was a lot, a small would do next time. It was pretty pricey, small and large mosa turned out to be around $24ish. read more
A chunk of special treat from Taiwan in Waikiki... That's what these guys did and how lucky they had this aha moment to start a biz right here in Waikiki. Located on a short and tiny side street near DFS right behind Waikiki Shopping Plaza is MOSA and you can't miss it as this vibrant shop awaken at night. This cozy spot offers this huge flavor and a slight show as they include shavings from a huge peanut brittle block that imported directly and made in Taiwan as it's a known street food there and how lucky are we to enjoy it right here in Hawai'i. Ordering is easy all you need to know is how many scoops you'd like and after dinner at a nearby Waikiki Shopping Plaza with mom I decided to drag her here for a bit of dessert treat and as we are stuffed from dinner it was a single scoop for us and a no brainer Matcha where you have a choice of "Wrap or Cup" and since we're sharing it was a cup and my goodness what a super cute flower pot cup it was! Delightful guys who works hard to create this unique treat that we both thoroughly enjoyed in the heart of busy Waikiki it's nice to slow down for a cool treat and smile. Thank you! read more
We loved this dessert spot located in downtown Waikiki. It's a simple storefront that has a couple of tables for seating in the front. The staff was super chill and friendly, and were ready to help. The Mosa wrap was for us and loved the options of a mini and regular. We also liked that the mini / regular didn't limit the number of flavors we could choose, but the size of the scoops- that allowed us to try more flavors of their delicious ice cream. The most unique aspect of MOSA is the peanut sprinkles within the wrap- definitely not something I had ever considered, but loved the flavor combo. Wish we could have had one more before leaving! read more

If you enjoy the crunch of peanuts with the candied bits and salty bits AND ice cream, this is your jam. Think of an ice cream burrito in a sense. You can choose three flavors of ice cream- I chose Ube, coffee, and matcha- and I got it in a peanut wrap. The wrapper is very thin like a super thin crepe. All together you get all the textures in one bite. They are open until midnight and is definitely a good late night snack. The owner was there too , very friendly and thanked us for checking them out! read more
