BE is a cute little mobile coffee shop on wheels right across from Kapolei Public Library that sells a variety of coffee, tea, and some pastries. In the middle of a weekday, it's easy to find parking at the park's parking lot, and if for some reason it's crowded, there's always street parking. I really like how they have a few tables, chairs, and even beach mats for customers to use while enjoying their treats. It's a perfect spot to enjoy a calm and relaxing morning. The entire area is really aesthetically pleasing to me! The pricing of the coffee is similar to other coffee shops in Kapolei (around the $7/drink mark), and the drinks are unique enough from other shops for me to want to go again instead of consistently going to a closer coffee shop. I recommend getting the apple cinnamon chai drink (I forgot the exact name) because it tastes like the inside of an apple pie and it easily soothes the body. I don't even normally like chai but this drink was amazing. One of these days, I would want to visit BE on a Saturday so that I'm not in a rush to head back to work. Came here for a quick pick me up before my wife and I headed to Adela's country eatery. I ordered the iced Ube matcha and my wife had the Lychee yuzu, it was quite a line and took some time to make, but they had some seating and games while you waited for your drink to be freshly made. Located in kapolei somewhere near a park and the DMV. I'm not super familiar with kapolei and I just literally chanced it with locating an address though google. You can either park on the street if it's available or just park in the parks parking lot and it's a short walk over. The stalls are a little small in the parking lot tho, but at least there is parking options available! I missed last month when they had the cherry blossom flavors, but this month is entirely different. Some of their monthly specials was really cute and has a Easter peep on the straw. I got the rose latte ... I think it was $8. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I also liked how they had little dried flowers on the top too. There was some tables nearby which is nice. Or you can take a mat too! The truck itself is super cute. I also liked that it's dog friendly. They even had a little container of banana chips for your dog. BE aware and look for this adorable trailer right across Kapolei Regional Park on Malawi Street and here you'll find Katie and Cody making the merriest of holidays with their yummy drinks and bites like their drink flight which literally took off so high that's it's now available weekends only. The vibe here is amazing so festive and bright and that's not just the drink but dressing up their trailer with garlands and have some events at the park as well and include the community is amazing! With that I had to give their holiday menu a try as I live seasonal items and it had to be "Candy Cane Forest" which is a peppermint matcha latte and the avocado toastie...yum!! Their matcha is very smooth and light not overly sweet and had just the right amount of peppermint giving the perfect holiday sip on my me time day. The toastie is just fully loaded with flavor and being almost too stunning to eat as the toastie was loaded with avocado, sprouts, feta, tomatoes and balsamic drizzle. Sitting along side the trailer with a couple of tables provided really made my time out from adulting so relaxing and nice, thank you to Katie and Cody who took that leap and know what needs to BE. I don't usually write reviews, but this is worth to write about. I was searching for a coffee shop near my parent's house in Kapolei and out of the (3) that was on my list. I decided on BE! It's a cute little coffee trailer. Locally own. The people are friendly, and there's a seating area. It is across the street from the credit union on the park side. (Manawai St & Kamōkila Blvd). The iced lattes that I got are all delicious! Which you could view in my photos. I couldn't resist to get an extra latte for myself since they are closed Sun & Mon. The kid is obsessed with coffee/matcha trucks. She picked it and we came. Easy to find and there wasn't a line when we got there but shortly after we ordered, 4 people showed up and ordered and I could tell they were repeat customers. The kid is on a matcha kick so she ordered the Grandma Gail's but with Matcha. And I ordered it with soy milk. Also got the turkey pesto wrap. It's just 2 of them and they're always smiling. I consider myself a coffee fanatic. I thoroughly enjoy a delicious, smooth cup of coffee, especially when the service is helpful and from the heart. You can tell they all have a passion for servicing great coffee, with efficiency and quality. Between my husband and I, we got three drinks. I forgot to take a picture of his cold brew, but that was particularly very delicious! It had a lot of fruity hints and was very smooth and easy to drink. I love iced oat milk lattes, and had to try one. It was all the things that I love in a good iced oat milk latte. Lastly, my husband and I were both debating on getting the "BE. maluhia," and we are so glad that we did because it was a perfectly balanced mix of Ube and Matcha. Not too sweet, and not bitter/metallic tasting at all. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area! New coffee wagon in Kapolei that's kama'āina (Hawai'i-born) and kānaka (Hawaiian)-owned! BE. opened just under a month ago! This is one of only a couple local coffee shops on Oahu's "second town." Come here to "slow down," have a great cup of coffee, talk story, and have a picnic! A friend of mine told me about BE.kakou as we both knew local coffee shops were hard to find on the Westside. This wagon is parked along Kapolei Regional Park, curbside on Manawai Street, just across from the Kapolei Public Library and Social Security Administration. Kaitie was sweet! We talked story for a couple minutes, invited me to have a picnic beside the truck, and helped me decide which drink to order for my first visit. I wanted to order her personal favorite, the "Be Pono" drink, the chocolate haupia latte, iced. I came by when Be happened to have a special, $2 off with a food+drink order, so I ordered their avocado toastie. BE. means it when they say to "slow down." It's just Kaitie and her husband Cody pouring their heart on each plate and cup. The food seems to be packaged to be enjoyed onsite, though I didn't try to ask for a takeout container. I miss just taking the time to ponder on a local coffee shop's special offerings, talk story with the shop owner and 'ohana over coffee and a few bites, and enjoy the flavors and story behind the coffee. Speaking of coffee story, BE. sources their coffee from ChadLou's Coffee Roasters in Kailua. Love that their coffee roaster is local, who sources from local coffee farms. The "Be Pono" chocolate haupia latte was really good! The drink wasn't too sweet nor watery with the right amount of espresso. The avocado toastie, which survived the short drive back home was so pretty and 'ono. Customers can have a picnic next to the truck! Kaitie showed me the rolled up beach mats and a short stack of books and a board game on Hawaiian language and culture. Follow BE on Instagram, @be.kakou for their latest operating schedules! They're generally open Thursday to Sunday mornings. Knowing they would be closed the second weekend of October, I wanted to catch them on a Friday during the workday. Very much worth the hype! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I thought this place was over hyped but this is the best strawberry matcha I've had on the island. Definitely not a very strong matcha, but I prefer it that way. If you like more of the strawberry flavor I'd definitely check it out. Only thing is it's a bit on the pricier side. I had the strawberry matcha with soy milk and it was a little over $10. But they are Native Hawaiian Owned so it never hurts to support local! I work in the area, so we continue to visit during the week. If I miss them during the week, I try to go on the weekends if I'm nearby. I got to try a few of the March Special: Cherry Blossom Queen and Golden Girl. Both were delicious! I love the amount of detail they put into every menu item. They're like works of art, it's beautiful. You can tell each item is made with love and care. They've been getting more and more doggie visitors (let's be honest, us dog parents drag them everywhere). So they added a new container with treats. Right now it has banana chips and peanut butter balls in it. The dogs were happy, we actually have the banana chip treats at home. Best somewhat recent update is mobile ordering! We live on Kauai so we're thrilled to be able to finally visit Be. about a month ago at one of their pop up events! They were one of the only food vendors so the line was long, but let me tell you the food and drinks were SO worth the wait! Our favorites were the poi-paya wa'a (perfect for our one year old who loves poi and fruits!) and the delicious turkey wrap. All of our drinks were delicious too! The little touches are really what sets this business apart. They locally source all ingredients where they can, greet each customer with aloha, and make everything to order. There were books and toys for us to enjoy while we waited as well as mats, blankets, and chairs provided to sit on. We also appreciated how Kaitie, Cody, and their son were all so friendly and upfront with customers about the wait time. Omg I go here at least once a week! I don't stay because I have my dog who can't stay in the sun too long, but I wish I could! Kaitie & Cody are super friendly and make you feel so welcome. It's a fairly new business but I appreciated the communication and conversations the owners have with their customers. They let you know how long the wait is and for those still in line to order, they see you, they just need to get orders out. I went 2 weekends in a row. I live near town, so the drive to Kapolei is never short but for this it was worth it. The turkey pesto wrap and avocado toastie don't look like a lot but it was enough to satisfy me as a meal both on its own. The flight was adorable. If I could order a couple of those, I'd be happy, but sharing is caring. Don't worry about parking. There's always street parking somewhere and if you have to walk, it's pretty relaxing. I purchased two drinks when BE came to Hoopili. Drinks were good! Nice family-owned business. Cool concept. However, the cap from the milk carton fell into my cup of milk in the process of making the drink. Instead of remaking the drink, ungloved fingers went in and pulled it out.
