The staff is always friendly and fast! The standouts are the managers -- they have the gold name tags. It's located conveniently in the same building as Foodland with direct entrances to both shops, it's always tidy and their merch makes for really cute gifts! The employees are knowledgeable and we enjoy watching them make our drinks. Once in a blue moon, I want to try something new and ask them to suggest a drink 9 times out of 10 it'll be delicious! Treat Yo' Self Thursday... inside of Foodland in Kapolei, O'ahu, Hawai'i... This location of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was quite busy with only 2 workers and lots of foot traffic! There were a few tables with chairs for customers to hang out. I decided to use my completed Stamp Card on a Roasted Veggie Power Bowl... and also ordered an ice blended drink since a regular size was just $4. I asked for soy milk which was a 99 cents upcharge. I took my bowl to the pick-up end of the counter and waited... A matcha-looking drink appeared, so I grabbed it. As I was taking a photo, a man said that was his drink. Really? He arrived after me. Oh, well... I went back to the pick-up area and one of the gals started making my Cookies and Cream matcha ice blended... with whipped cream and crumbs on the top... with a domed cover! Ohhh... it looks fancier than that man's matcha drink... I guess I won't be ordering it again because the "Cookies", even though they're grounded up, are distracting to drink. It's already been a brutal summer and we all have been seeking relief in many ways and hearing this really isn't so surprising but it still hurts lol! Located in Foodland Kapolei Village Center as this partner with majority Foodland is a great convenience once you complete your errands and grab a drink as well making it a single stop to get more than just your veggies and poke. A nice and clean place for to take a break the staff here is friendly and efficient as I decided on a plantation tea but found it to be too sweet and decided to dilute it later as I've been on a water detox so my taste buds have been sensitive but love the flavors of the tea. I love that they have grab and go food, from sweets to sandwiches as well as snacks, with several healthy options. They also always have a great variety of Hydro flasks and insulated mugs and drinking containers . They also sell their loose tea leaves and their drink powders, so you can make it at home when you don't have time to go to the store... and I also have friends who don't have a coffee bean at home so they take some home with them when they come to visit. read more

One of the best I've been too! I love going here and the Lower Makakilo location. I've been to a few on the island and these are my go to's. They are flexible with orders, incredibly friendly, and the taste is consistent each time. Some places you'll get a bomb drink, then go again and mostly taste milk, or the flavor is very overpowering. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. I really recommend giving it a shot. If I had to critique, I'd say for the latte's, the ice can be a little heavy but that's it. read more

Came to get drinks with my mom when an unexpected rush happened. There was only one girl working and many people ordering. Not only did she have to take all orders by herself but she ALSO had to make them all by HERSELF. Another customer also noticed that it was only her and asked "is it just you working" because that's what it seemed like...but NO there was another woman in the back the entire time while this girl made AT LEAST 20 drinks by herself. And the said woman that was in the back the entire time which had to have been at least 20-30 minutes walked out and left. The girl was very nice, respectful, and did an amazing job with our drinks. I came here before my bowling tournament last Sunday. I can't remember the exact name, but I enjoy their Matcha frozen drink. The restaurant was clean. The girl who took my order was friendly. She had asked me if ibhad wanted to have my drink made with almond milk or oat milk. Two visits in a row, the same week Wednesday and again tonight Saturday they have screwed up my order. I always order the exact same thing extra large Plantation Iced Tea. Wednesday they made me black tea then forgot to make a correct one. I waited ten minutes before reminding them if they were going to replace my drink. It's Tea leaf heaven. This place has some sweet coffee and loads of tea choices. As with any franchise cafes, it is consistent with all the CBTL locations. What I love: There special/seasonal flavors are so tasty! Red Velvet, Pumpkin Spice and everything nice. If you pick a new drink flavor, you will instantly fall in love with the way they make it. The tea selection is amazing. There is so much to choose from, once you do choose its hard to make a decision if you want it hot or iced. There pastry selections look and taste good. What I don't like: Everything tastes great, but if you are trying to cut down on sugar, you can't here. Most of the drinks are made with a powder so the sugar is already mixed in. (Pretty minor, so still 4.5 stars in my eyes) Overall, it's still a great place to get a yummy coffee or tea treat. Consistency and quality are always great. read more

It's seriously a hit or miss with this location. I come in the morning and there have multiple times the workers are busy counting their drawer (in the open) or doing something else besides paying attention to the customers. I kid you not, almost every time this past week I had to wait there and smile at the menu board as the baristas finished up their duties behind the counter. Cmon team! I wasn't sure what to try, and described to the barrista, Janica, what I did and did not want. Less than a week later, I returned this morning to get this yummy Hazelnut Americano customized with coconut milk. I observed how Janica hustles when she's working. But she's very personable and really appreciated how she communicated with the kupuna... I'm not kupuna status yet. I work in the same shopping center so I come here way too often. Probably more often than I should lol. But the craving is so real! Especially since they introduced the Green Tea Matcha Latte a few months ago. It's soo good! And one of the workers recommended trying it with Vanilla Almond milk, and I am obsessed. (Think it's like a dollar or less extra. I forget. But worth it) Even without it, it's amazing. Honestly, I've tried Starbucks matcha latte a few times, and Coffee Bean's is sooo much better. They also have a lot of great quick grab & go foods like wraps, pasta, sandwiches, etc. and baked goods. Also, another great refreshing drink that I love ordering when I don't feel in the coffee mood, "Raspberry Lilikoi Lemonade". Thank me later! :) The workers there are generally pretty friendly. There's one manager however that was a bit rude to one of my friends which is really unfortunate. So I hope that changes. I do notice new faces a lot so I'm assuming it's a lot of part timers. I love this place. I work in the mall, so I come here pretty early before my shift starts. One employee automatically recognized me even though I don't come often and remembered my name. It took me back because it's so hard for me to remember faces, so I was impressed. She rang me up and automatically put in my mall discount (which I usually have to ask for) and sent me on my way. The barista making my order signaled for me to come over and within 5 minutes I was out of the store. Remarkable service. There was a line of five individuals before I managed to place my order of small Plantation Iced Tea to the employee. I was given a stamped card that can be used at other Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations. The employee who took my order was very friendly and cheerful. While waiting for my drink to be made I noticed some tables and chairs provided for the customers to use after they received their order. There were shelves of different types of coffee and tea flavors to be purchased as well as hydroflasks. Near the cashier area there was a display case with pastry items. The lemon bar looked mighty yummy. I will visit this location again to try out the lemon bar. After receiving my drink I went outside of the building where there were more tables and chairs provided for the customers to use.
