Starbucks Ewa Beach Laulani Shopping Village. Brava I rarely comment or write reviews on a place. You either have to do something really bad or really exceed my expectations. I brought my daughter here for a small treat after her dentist appointment. The café was fairly busy, but while we were in line I noticed a table with some papers and a sticky pad on it. No one had been sitting there the entire time we waited in line or for our order, so once we got our drinks and snacks we sat down. While I was doing a little work on my laptop and my daughter was enjoying her drink, a woman who I assume was the manager or co-manager approached us and told me she needed the table because she was about to have a meeting. I was honestly surprised to be asked to give up a table as a paying customer. Since I was in uniform and didn't want to create a scene, we simply packed up and left. I understand that meetings and internal business need to happen, but asking paying customers to vacate a table in the customer seating area so staff can hold a meeting IS NOT a good business practice. Those kinds of discussions should be handled in a back office or staff area, not in the middle of the customer space. Experiences like this are exactly why I don't frequent Starbucks often, and unfortunately this visit only reinforced that impression. read more

I love the way I went to this Starbucks for my free birthday drink -- that I had to wait over the estimated time because they out it in the drive thru window and then wait extra time for a cookie that takes 10 seconds to heat up only for it to get slammed on the counter. So I decided to give the cookie back bc I dont need any bad juju on my birthday. This review is for the drinks and not the service or employees. I have been coming here for a long time and it has gotten progressively worse. Drinks are inconsistent meaning some days my order is made perfectly while other days it doesn't taste right making me want to throw it out but don't because of what I just spent. If you order an ice coffee you can expect it to be filled with ice so you will be done with your coffee after a few sips or it will be very watered down. Starbucksaholics... My besties' mom's extended visit due to mainland weather delays gave us more "we" time and she just needs to have her bucks-fix so in the Ewa area this would be the only place. Located in the heart of Laulani Village this location does have a drive-thru as well so they do gave very busy so parking too close to the drive-thru area is not recommended if you don't want to be trapped. With that they do have just a few seating and being the only Starbucks (besides the Safeway location) no seats whatsoever but thankfully there was a couple outside and it was later in the afternoon so it was a bit cooler. I always bring my cup...just incase and pile on the stars though mom paid I love the time we got to spend with each other as times like these are genuinely precious. I noticed that she's very active on the app she doesn't use the apple wallet to pay and tried to get it to work it so that she doesn't need to open her phone...which are all scattered with apps not grouped as well told her she needs to organize her phone lol! Moments like this is something I love as she's very independent, drives and is full of life we all need each other for support and love, just wished this location had more seating and though we say that with many places here is very much needed. We came to Laulani Village to have dinner at Rakki Ramen. I stopped by this Starbucks to grab a drink first. I grabbed my usual iced green tea in my reusable cup. If you bring in your own cup you get 10 cents off plus 25 bonus stars. You'll also be doing the planet a favor. The cashier was friendly. She took my order and I scanned my phone to pay with the app. There wasn't anyone if front of me, so my order came pretty fast. I got it within five minutes. I've been to many different Starbucks across the globe and their drinks tastes the same no matter what location you're at, so no complaints about the drink. Their selection of cups weren't that great. I've noticed that Starbucks inside Safeway and Target have way better cups verses the stand alone stores. 1/31/25 I always place my mobile order when I leave my house. I live five minutes away from this location. Usually, I arrive 10 to 15 minutes later. Today my mobile order was completed however, when I went in the location to pick it up it was not ready. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes. This drive through location is so good! I was sitting outside waiting for a table and a wonderful Starbucks employee came outside to let me know a seat and table was about to open up! It was so kind of her, I think her name was Yuki. The ambiance was so holiday festive and cheerful. I got a small tea and it came in a glass cup! I didn't know they did that. I really felt like I was in a cutesy city cafe. They never stop moving in here, always working so hard and still so courteous and kind. Give them all a raise!!! Happy holidays. read more

Although it's constantly busy, the employees are super friendly and don't allow any customers to enter the door without welcoming them. Came here because I had a starbucks gift card I had to make use of. This starbucks is convenient for me because it's close to me. The parking lot/drive through can be a hassle though. Sometimes when it gets very busy there's a long wait in the drive through that can go pass the intersection in the shopping center. Also there usually is a bit of a wait, I waited a little over 10 minutes in the drive through before I got my order taken. I normally would get a mocha frapp because I just love anything chocolate and coffee but it honestly doesn't taste good at all. My mom got a caramel frapp and I got the Pink drink, both were very delicious. Pink drink tastes like the pink starbursts candy. The crispy grilled cheese on sourdough is so good and fulfilling, I could barely finish it all. I expected my lunch to be a light meal but I was super full. read more

This Starbucks is located in Ewa Beach with the shopping center that consists of Safeway, BWW, Ross, and City Mill. Ample parking and this near to an exit of the shopping center when you're on the go! To be honest, (and also obvious at times) this drive thru line with get crazy long wrapping around the building and pass the stop sign/intersection. I've never made the time to wait in their line so I can't say how fast it moves. However. My advice for this location for especially those in a rush whether they're on their way to work, lunch drop by, or heading home from work and just neeeeed that Starbucks fix... Use Their Mobile Order App! This is how I've ALWAYS ordered and it was always ready for pick up within 7-20 minutes depending on how large my order is/how busy they are. They've also set up an excellent mobile order pick up station for the times it gets busy where they organized orders by alpha order by names. I've never had a problem with discrepancies or delayed waiting times this way. Upon every entrance I always get a warm welcome and friendly service. Never once had a rude experience and my coffee is always on point and food items taste fresh. Today in particular I stopped by for 7 giftcards and Cabe assisted me at the register. He's the reason why I decided to finally review this location today! He was so welcoming, friendly, and gave awesome vibes. Rang up my giftcards promptly and took the time to insert each card into its own giftcard envelope. As he did that. He didn't leave me there in silence and made the time to ask how my day was, how he loves coffee, and how literally bipolar Hawaii weather is! Cabe, you made a positive impact with your personality. Amongst all the chaos and absolute peak hour rush the staff remained calm and professional. The drive thru line was wrapped around the store. Inside there were people In line, picking up their mobile order several others enjoying their coffee sitting down. They were very pleasant despite some people being impatient. 24 November 2020 I am not sure how or why I have not reviewed this Star-beezy before but, here it is... I am an avid-ish coffee drinker; however, I usually prepare my own French pressed coffee at home (sometimes using SB brand beans). For me SB is a bit of a luxury and most times I only visit when they have offers or if I am away from home and want coffee. This particular location is 1 of 2 SB in Laulani Village Shopping Center! ONE of TWO within 100 meters of each other!! However, this one is a stand-alone and has a drive thru. From my observation, this one gets a lot more business than the other location in the shopping center. The other SB is inside Safeway and does not have a drive thru. It seems EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I drive by, there is a long line (typically between 6am and 9am) at the drive thru and the surrounding parking lot is full, indicative of a busy in-store as well. This location is small-ish and the drive thru is usually a nightmare in the morning - the long line impedes the flow of traffic to the nearby businesses in the shopping center. There is only one door. This creates the potential for collision of customers entering and exiting. Although small-ish, I think they have enough room at the other end of the facility where another door could have been installed (they likely wanted to maximize indoor seating and opted not to add another door...which indoor seating is still blocked due to covid restrictions anyway). Of the two locations in the shopping center, I believe this location also gets a lot of customers since customers can order ahead using the SB app; order ahead is unavailable for the other SB location. The drinks offered and the merchandise is not drastically different from other SB. [SB should have a challenge - spot the differences between locations ]. Each time I have gone, I have had friendly customer service, and ordering via the app should not cause any mistakes with the order anyway. Though, my drink is generally simple. I visit this location for its conveniences - drive thru and ordering ahead availability and recommend it outside of the busy times. read more

Normally I like this location. HOWEVER I've noticed some issues: they never have any merchandise that I am looking for, and they aways over-ice my drinks when I've ASKED for light ice (see picture). Starting you off with a little coffee humor; Coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. Just know that I don't give eeffoc until I've had my coffee. This location is really convenient, close to home where we can just walk or if we feel like jammies a drive thru..and a quick drive we can hit the drive thru. The disadvantage is the drive thru can get busy so the line wraps near Walgreens at times hindering traffic for other businesses in the area. I really enjoy personal experiences and relationships. I think it's a way to set your business aside from others. With corporate chains like this, it tends to get lost. However, this location is amazing at knowing their customer base and getting to know them. I love that feeling when I'm ordering at the drive thru intercom and they know it's me, able to finish my drink order for me. The friendly smile at the window, another simple gesture. But I love it doesn't stop there. They will say. "Oh hey Keri!" While other baristas peep their head around also to say hey." That really is so sweet and to know on a first name basis adds to the experience. One process improvement. We are on an island so logistically it's easy to run out of things. However, sitting in line just for that and not finding out until placing your order on the intercom and barista saying they're out, not so cool. They should post signage or block it on the menu. I am a regular customer to the Ewa Starbucks, and this is my favorite Starbucks in the area! I use the mobile app, and my orders have always been correct, and efficient. I feel that this location has pretty good consistency when it comes to how my drink is prepared. The employees are always friendly and greet me when I come inside. A couple of times they have left a happy note or sticker on my cup which brightens my day! I will also add that I feel safe when visiting this Starbucks location. There are definitely peak days/hours when the drive-thru is long. If you are a regular customer you tend to pick up on the patterns of peak times. If the drive-thru is long, I just go inside! Peak hours tend to be weekend mornings and afternoons. Weekday mornings depend on the day of the week. At the time I visit, I noticed that Friday mornings tend to be a little bit busier than other weekday mornings. read more

Started with the breakfast sandwiches-asked for the double bacon Gouda bfast sandwich-sorry order didn't come in. Ok we'll order the bfast wrap . Sorry it didn't arrive either. So I asked OK what did arrive and what do you have said everything else so we ordered the bacon Gouda sandwich. I ordered a multi grain bagel.We waited for our coffees n saw others their orders so I figured I'd check. The gal heard me asking so she called out over her shoulder, " it's here we are really busy" -no problem. Shortly our food came and I noticed the everything bagel - I asked I ordrred multi grain & the gal says with the expression of ahh we don't carry multigrain" - I said I ordered multigrain and if it wasn't available I would cancel cause the onion flavor causes an allergic reaction. I know when I ordered I repeated " Multigrain" - didn't hear her say otherwise. We got our food and the coffee was light -didn't taste like dark roast and my husband sandwich didn't have bacon. We come here fairly often when we are in Ewa Beach. One of the drive thru Starbucks available. I wish all Starbucks had drive thru. My daughter wanted a sandwich, a cake pop and a frap. I always get me regular which is a grande pumpkin spice cold brew. I won't be able to sleep tonight lol! It was good! Hubby got a venti strawberry and cream frap. We were all happy campers. I literally live across the street and always find myself at the drive through. Yes, the drive through line does get packed and with the stop sign near by, traffic does start to build up. But... they get your drinks out quick. Staff here is excellent and they always get my drink spot on and out quickly. I always order a venti ice matcha tea latte with vanilla sweet cream foam. The matcha isn't to bitter and the foam isn't watered downed once I received my drink. Never had a bad experience here other than their drive through but it's not as bad as you think. I wouldn't even give this place a star, super bad service, the staff was rude and very unfriendly, the bigger over weight girl taking my order was very sassy and rude, I was trying to give her my order and she continued to talk to the other employees. She finally got my order in, my drink came out to 7.80 for a small matcha green tea, so I give her a $20, she then tells me is it ok if I pay you all in 1's? I said is that all you have, she then tells me that everyone is paying in large bills even after she says she has no change. "So irritating" at that point I was upset, 1 that's not my fault and 2 you shouldn't be talking like that to a customer. No customer service all! So seen a $5 in her drawer and said well can I have that 5 and the rest ones and she still pays me in all 1's and rudely says thank you and have a nice day while rolling her eyes. I wasn't going to write a review but the way she acted and her unprofessional behavior was a must put it on here. We love Starbucks, but won't come back to this one because the staff. I give this location 5 stars because the drive through line is consistently around the corner, but the staff keep it moving. Really disorganized at this location. I made an online order, and when I went inside to pick it up it was chaos. My order wasn't ready on time, they were "working on it" (this was a lie). Over 10 minutes later I just left without receiving my order because I cannot be late for work. On top of that I was never refunded it, despite never picking it up, they probably mixed it up and gave it away to someone else, and STILL charged me. And the way the system is set up it seems impossible to dispute the charge? Like really? Almost 10$ I won't get back? Another reason for me to patronize other coffee chains and small shops rather than Starbucks. You should really train your baristas better on drink quality because my mobile orders lately have been unacceptable, complete waste of my money I am so disappointed and upset. Sometimes I try to look at the bright side of things because everyone has their off days, maybe the barista forgot to add caramel drizzle I requested because she's helping her coworker or maybe she was so busy that she didn't read my order when I SPECIFICALLY asked for NO FLOATING STRAWBERRIES in my Strawberry Açaí. I try to be understanding but it has become a habit for some of the baristas to mess up drinks that customers are paying a hefty price for. But how dense do you have to be to mess up my mobile order when the instructions are literally printed on the cup? If I order a honey citrus mint tea and you don't know how to make it, wouldn't a sane person ask their coworker for help? No honey girl on bar put two random tea bags in my cup, EARLY GRAY AND MINT MAJESTY? NO LEMONADE, NO HONEY, just hot water and disappointment. I really wish I got her name because all my drinks tasted like she was putting random syrups in my cup and hoping to god I drank em when I got home and not in front of her. Don't even get me started on the whip cream, more like water cream on top of my kid's frappes. And sometimes their cold foam isn't sweet enough or it's watery, does anyone here know what they're doing??? Some times the foam is nice and frothy, but most days it's like drinking soup, then don't charge me for foam!!! I don't usually complain but I feel like someone really needs to look into some of the workers here who don't know what they're doing and making my experience here a nightmare. Drive thru is a very convenient way to order and what's even more convenient is the ability to place your order via the phone app ahead of time. But convenience does not equal to quickness. For example, fam and myself were in the area and wanting our SB usuals. I ordered 2 fraps and 1 refresher via the app and chose drive thru as the desired pick up location instead of the lobby. Issue #1 There were only 2 cars ahead of me when I checked in at the drive thru, but I don't know why it took so long for all 3 cars to move. Also, issue #2 the staff was so close to arguing with me because I told him I was missing another drink. In all fairness, he did went ahead and double check, and viola, he found my drink mixed with the lobby drinks ready for pick up. No apologies no nothing. Recommendation #1 Assuming the lobby is busy, there should be staff dedicated to move the drive thru line. There's a reason why drive thru is a thing, or not at this location. I have only been to this location twice and I'd say 50% GO and 50% NO GO. Compared to the Waipio or Nanakuli staff, customer service here is at low 60%.
