Whenever I'm in Ewa Beach I try to stop in this place. They have some of the best concoctions. I love their specialty drinks. They also have your everyday boba drinks and smoothies. Today we got the Fresh Mango and Horchata Cheesecake. They were both good, but different. The Horchata Cheesecake was sweet and creamy. The Fresh Mango was made with fresh fruit, so it was on the tangy side. The li hing and mango stars gave the drink a pop. Prices have gone up a little. The small smoothies are $7 and the large are $8. The specialty drinks are around $15. We spent $30 for the Fresh Mango and Horchata Cheesecake. I gotta say this is the first boba shop I ever tried that offers a variety of drink flavors and toppings. You can create so many different drinks with the options they offer. This is dessert in a cup! The drink we tried was honey dew cream and I gotta say it was pretty good. I compare it to a Melona ice cream bar. I asked my kids what they wanted too and here we are $60 later with 4 drinks and all the toppings- We got Ubebeh, Oreo, Taro and Mango Sticky Rice. The Mango Sticky Rice was really good, there is Mango Ice Cream; along with Coconut Milk and Purple Rice. The hard part was trying to drink the rice, you have to drink it carefully or it'll go straight to the back of your throat and you'll end up choking. I love the idea of this place. You can customize your boba drink starting from either slushy or some kind of milk tea. From there, you choose your toppings, boba type, added walls, ice cream and the list goes on. You can also adjust your desired sweetness for each drink which lowers the sugar content. The only downside is that it is extremely expensive for what it is. I think one of my drinks was well over $12. One drink was a little under $10, pretty basic and not good at all. The shop is small and great for kids. The service is friendly and helpful with recommendations. I would listen to them more next time. We ordered a bunch of different drinks. All good flavors to choose from and you can adjust the sweetness level. There are 6 of us and the inside of the area gets packed quickly especially the more customers that came in. It's more narrow than wide. There are chairs and tables which can only really sit 2 at each one. Good thing is that they do offer seating outside. The owner, who was also taking our order, has the face that says "hurry up already". But seems friendly with those who she knows. So if there is anything that needs to change it would be that. Boba Cafe is a bright spot from what I'm told way back and the spot the area locals love so you know I had to give them some love. It's not totally my cup of tea as I'm more a purist and here there's certainly a lot of selection though only with green or black and after requesting my favorite Wintermelon they asked for green or black tea...huh!?! They also have Milk Teas, Smoothies and all seems to be syrup flavored along with fun toppings like various cereals, mini marshmallows, tajin and even nerds I can see why it's a favorite with the crowds. I did get the Wintermelon Tea with Black Tea and Coconut Jelly and BunBun was thirsty on this hot day so we slurped it all up, they do have some seating indoors as well so I did take a moment to take advantage of that and they do have two doors and one facing the parking is the exit you enter the one facing the sidewalk. I hardly drive through Ewa Beach, but after retiring, my friend and I are revisiting places I hardly had time to go. The farthest I drove in Ewa Beach is Queens west, so it was an adventure for me to drive further in to see how much it has grown. We found this little gem across the street from Longs, next to right next to Ilima Intermediate School. Watermelon smoothie - 5 stars - not many places offer fresh watermelon smoothies (most serve only with synthetic watermelon syrup), and previously, the only place I could find was in Chinatown, but now I have found a place on the Leeward side to get my fix. Almost all drinks here come with free Boba. So refreshing and not too sweet, I enjoyed this Boba drink. Service - very friendly and patient as I always have a hard time deciding what I want. The owner and family always offer a smile and try their best to make you feel like part of a Boba community. Auntie is amazing at getting to know you and your flavor personality. I've been coming to Boba Cafe in Ewa Beach since high school, and unfortunately, the experience has only gotten worse over the years. The woman who takes orders is consistently rude, and it feels like the rest of the staff have picked up on that attitude. They're dismissive, unhelpful, and don't seem interested in providing good service. The menu is long and kind of confusing, and when you try to ask questions, you're met with attitude instead of guidance. It's frustrating - especially when you're paying eight dollars for a drink. This spot in Ewa Beach has a huge menu option of mostly smoothies with a myriad of topping options. I had no idea what i wanted going into it, but I told the worker that I was trying to hit all the boba shops to rate them on my tiktok and instagram, and she proceeded to help me choose a drink for about 7 minutes because i was super indecisive and had questions about literally everything. Jen was super patient with me and told me the prices and ingredients of each of the many drinks I asked about. In the end she suggested the Mars Special, which was an avocado and ube-based smoothie with a variety of colorful toppings like condensed milk walls, haupia pudding, sprinkles, and ube ice cream. The drink came out to about $11 (but I think she might've discounted it for me bc she felt bad since I kept asking about the prices and kept saying no to all the expensive options LOL) for the small so it is VERY pricey but with all the toppings it makes sense. She suggested getting it less sweet, which was a good call because with the sugar level cut in half, it was perfect. Any sweeter and I think i would've had a hard time driving home ahaha the drink was done in about 5 minutes and it was very very VERY colorful - like a unicorn coughed up a double rainbow in a cup. The drink itself was pretty good - thick and creamy from the avocado with lots of sugary goodness coming from the ube, ice cream, condensed milk and haupia. The sprinkles, haupia and boba all gave it different textures which was super interesting, and despite the appearance, again, with the sugar cut in half it was drinkable. As much as I wanted to finish my $11 drink, I knew if I consumed this entire cup i'd probably never wanna ingest sugar ever again, so I gave the other half to my sister, who said she froze it to make it into an ice cream consistency! Overall it's not a place that I'd go back to often, especially since it's so far, but I really appreciate the worker being so patient with me, and I do love how many options there are and that you can customize it literally however you want. Ask about the secret menu items like the Ubebeh, the Bretman Rock Special (acai based), Chocolate Strawberry (inspired by Bretman's sister), and Red Velvet. read more

I love Tea's and Bobas and Boba Cafe have some of the best! Right now with the Pandemic going on , the y have made one door to enter and the other door to exit. Which is great as, there usually is a lot of traffic entering thru the door nearest the parking lot. What I love is the Ubebe with Haupia and Ube ice cream on top. The Haupia chunks are especially Ono because, it maintains its texture and the taste is so distinct to the ones you are eating at Luaus. The drink itself is one of the best tasting one I've had. There is also, a cold case where , I always get a couple (or several) tapiocas to take home. It's one of the better tasting ones and come in different varieties like Taro, banana and Okinawan potato. Her favorite and go-to is a large lychee smoothie with lychee jelly. It's so sweet because even the owner knows her and knows her order. She's wonderful by the way, always sweet and friendly every time we stop by. The rest of the staff is also very nice and very quick with making our drinks. The drive to this boba spot is 100% worth it, it's delicious! My friend recommended this place to me last May and it did not disappoint. I had to come back again this month when I was in Hawaii. The boba was the perfect amount of chewy and sweet. The drink that caught my attention was the Calamansi slush. Calamansi is my favorite fruit- I automatically have to get it whenever it's available. Drinking the slush reminded me of being back in the Philippines: that's how fresh the drink was. On this last visit we got to speak to one of the ladies who told us that they squeeze each calamansi by hand to make their juices and slushes - that's why it's so good and fresh/tastes just like the Philippines. Made my way to Boba Cafe today, deep down into the South... my old stomping grounds! Located in the Ewa Beach Professional Center, next to H&R Block and slightly past Burger King. Boba Cafe had been bookmarked by me since the onset of Bretman Rock's reign, when he and his sister frequented this boba spot a lot. Bretman really put Ewa Beach on the map... or maybe Braxton Olita did? LOL I'm getting ahead of myself. Making it through into this parking area can be a chore. Not much spaces for the amount of businesses. And if memory serves me correctly, it's only a one way, so you may have to circle back out to the main street and reenter if the lot is full. Luckily we came at a good time and was able to secure an immediate spot. The storefront wasn't inundated either, just a couple people who were waiting outside for their drinks. They've adopted a one entrance and one exit system, so make sure you follow the signage. For SA, the door fronting the main street is the entrance and the door facing the parking is the exit. Additionally, only one party is allowed in the establishment at a time and after you place your order, you will have to wait outdoors for your number to be called. We got an iced black raspberry tea with passionfruit jelly, avocado smoothie with avocado ice cream and boba, and of course, the Ubebeh. I thought I was setting myself up for failure with that one lol, considering how sweet you'd assume it to be since so much add-ins goes into it. But it actually wasn't too intense. Wish there was a smaller size though, they only have two choices to choose from. Good experience overall. Would consider returning to try other options. read more

I was in the area and decided it was time to finally visit this boba shop. I found a parking stall right in front and there was no line...score! I went inside and found an extensive menu of different drinks and toppings. I also saw a tv screen showcasing a variety of specialty drinks, which looked similar to the ones I've seen on Insta. There were some that I found interesting, but each drink only lasted for a few seconds on the screen. As soon as I found one I liked, it moved on to the next drink. Maybe having a printed menu of these specialty drinks would be easier? After watching the screen for a couple of minutes, I asked the kind worker about what types of ube drinks they have. She told me that ube was their flavor of ice cream and it could be added to any drink. She also told me that their honeydew boba was their most popular drink. I remembered that I saw a drink called Ubebeh so I ordered that one instead. I really wanted a drink that was original to this boba shop and I couldn't really find someplace else. I haven't been here since I was maybe in high school but I saw a drink on their Instagram that caught my eye so I knew I had to go back to try it. I went on a Saturday afternoon and no one was there, but I know weekdays after school gets pretty crowded with all the kids getting their boba fix. The drink is an ube smoothie with marshmallow and thai (condensed milk) walls with haupia chunks, boba, and ube ice cream covered in a birthday cake shell on top. The drink rang up to roughly $9 which I was a little surprised at how expensive it was but remembered it came with all of that toppings and additions. Honestly, it was really good, and would get it again. Definitely a treat yourself type of drink if you wanna splurge. I will say the lady who was the cashier wasn't very welcoming.
