    Fruity pebble paiai
    Amanda K.

I'm sorry but $16 for a bowl of ice cream with 1/4 cup of paiai is not worth it for me. And with tip I paid almost $20... If anything I would just buy the paiai by itself.

I was so excited that they were open! I was hungry - didn't have lunch, yet. Lol! But this is the best kine lunch!!! Broke da mout- ONO!!!! Perfect, I had some time to kill, so why not get me a "kalo bomb?!" Sitting in my car, with the AC on watching all the traffic pass me by- but so elated eating this deliciousness!!! Service was fast and definitely with a smile! Makes the drive to West Side all worth it! Ono ice cream and the pa'i'ai was the perfect consistency and so yummy!!! You gotta come check it out! I'm gonna finish my bowl now!

Got introduced to this place by my bf. Used to be Kalo Bombs but now Da Kalo Korner. Star the owner is the sweetest! She makes the Paiai herself. This place is definitely a must try if you're in the area... even if you're not in the area still go. Just a little tiny window that generates little bowls of amazingness. There isn't any tables or inside dining available. But a cute little bench outside. I Had the pa'i'ai with haupia and paiai with kulolo which consists of fresh kalo pa'i'ai, nui flakes, and nui cream, paired with your choice of ice cream. Ive also tried the ube as well as one with fruity pebbles. All great choices. They'll run you about $14.50 for a regular and $9.50 for a small bowl. Plenty of parking available in the lot as well as on the side streets. The Paiai here is sooooo good. It's so smooth and chewy in texture. I plan on frequenting as often as I can. Go support local business.

So delicious and so unique! In the same spot as kalo bombs and basically same type of dessert. Amazing service! Parking lot out front. A couple benches for seating. Love a good paiai and haupia ice cream combo, especially after a beach day. So many different options for toppings too!

Perfect sweet treat to beat the Waianae heat (didn't mean for that to rhyme so well lol) Ordered the Ube Paiai -- the Ube ice cream complemented the mochi-like texture of the paiai, tied together perfectly with the toppings. The gal that ran the front window was friendly and fast and got our order out quickly. Definitely a must-stop if you're out in the west side and craving something sweet.

Da Kalo Korner is now in the same spot where Kalo Bombs used to be. You order at the window, and there are benches on the side of the building where you can sit and enjoy your treat. The staff is super friendly and our order came out quickly. We tried the Cookie Butter Pa'i'ai, and it was amazing. If you're getting one of their special flavors, the portion is definitely big enough to share between two people. The pa'i'ai itself is fluffy and paired nicely with the ice cream. The cookie butter cookie bits added a really nice crunch and extra flavor that tied everything together. If you're looking for a cool treat or pa'i'ai fix, Da Kalo Korner is a must-try!

Talk about broke da mouth.. I'm dreaming about this place as I type. If you're ever headed out west this place is a must to try. A great sweet treat for after the beach. Like the name it's located in the corner where lanterns is. They have parking in the front lot and back. There was only one aunty working and she was the sweetest taking our orders and checking up on how it was. There was a little line but everything came out quick. Ordered the banana cream paiai and oreo paiai. This was sooooo yummmy. Everything was great, wished it had a little more paiai but I'm not complaining. One of my fave sweet treats.

In Maili in the old Kalo Bombs. No affiliation. Essentially same idea. Overall it was ok. Staff is great. Paʻiʻai had a different texture... almost more gelatinous. Taste was still fresh which is good. Might come back if open when heading to Makaha bc we not making a left turn in and out lol

My first time trying under a new name &/or new owner..... I was very disappointed by the tiny scoop of pa'i'ai on top of haupia ice cream for $15. As I dug in I became more disappointed by the "freshness" of the pa'i'ai. It had hard chucks in it & the taste didn't taste fresh like they advertised. Tastes as if it's frozen. Miss when it was Kalo Bombs. Definitely fresh & worth the amount they used to give.

For anyone that needs the most up to date menu.

This spot is just soo good. The bowls are reasonably priced for the amount you get. The scoops of ice cream is huge and one heaping scoop of the pa'i ai. Definitely going back again.

Loved the service! Got there as soon as sis turned on the open sign. She said they opened up about 3 weeks ago. Took over the KaloBombz location. I got the Ube in a regular & can feed about 2 people, but feeds 1 of me just fine. Vibes were good with people heading or coming from the beach. Must try if you ever on the west side!!!! They get stuff like banana cream, cookies & cream paiei that I'm gonna try next time.

Absolutely. That is all I have to say for the amount of joy I felt as I tasted my ummy oh so yummy Pa'i'ai. We tried the ube and banana cream. GET THEM. Worth however far the drive is. I am telling you!

    Ube Paiai Regular size

Hit the Spot! Once I found out about this place, I wanted to try it out and oh man it was so ONO and I had to come back again for this. Paiai is so fresh and yummy every time and my favorite is the Ube Paiai Will come back again and again this place is worth the drive!!! And the owner is so nice and kind

When you first enter, you'll see a few chairs and tables where you can enjoy your food. I was disappointed to see that there weren't any smoothies that offered protein powder. You will have to request protein powder and pay extra on top of an already high price. I don't think their prices are reasonable at all. I ordered the Tiger in a medium cup. It was sooo delicious, but they skimp out on ingredients by putting it in a tall cup. Their acai bowls are not served in your average, compostable bowls. They come in cups for beverages which I thought was odd. In my opinion, their prices are not worth it. However it was great to try a new spot !

They even have a matcha chia seed pudding. You can pick from their classic combinations or build your own. I believe that they have an app which makes it really easy to customize, but I've never used it. Even though they are in cups, the large "oak" size is about the same as bowls other places. On top of build your own açaí bowls, they also have smoothies which you can customize. I only wish that they were open earlier, sometimes I take an early morning yoga class before work and wish I could start my day with an oakberry açaí.

We got their açaí bowl and their ube bagel sandwich with a salad. It was the perfect breakfast. Due to the excitement around this chain, I expected to wait in long lines and brought my kindle. To my surprise, I was able to order there, wait 2 minutes for my drinks and food and was one my way within 6 minutes!! The shop was so personable, the cook came out and saw who I was so they could hand off my food when it was ready!! This is over the top service and I am so grateful for the extra mile. There were plenty of spots to sit and eat, I saw some people with their laptop out and books. I would love to sit here and sip the best coffee, but alas, I have a cute little daughter who was waiting for her açaí bowl back at our hotel. I would 100% be coming back and recommending it to my friends.

The portion size is really good for the price and I took home left overs! On the table, there's these fly swatter things for the food so there weren't many bugs around. I love this place because you can study here and the food is really good. I just think the drinks are alright.

The eldest got the kamaaina scrambled and it was just ok for her. My fiance got the Belgian waffles and she said it was nothing special.. she actually didn't even finish the one waffle. Food overall was ok. Price wasn't bad but at the same time, portion wasn't that great. For instance, the Belgian waffles only came with one waffle for $12 and to add fruits it's $3 per fruit which they don't top it with much. I'd probably rate it 3, possibly 4 stars if it was just based off the food alone. The service... kind of non existent. So we got seated and checked the menu out but it took a while till someone actually took our order. They only gave a small pitcher of water so it was really only enough for 2 people and even that took a while till someone refilled it. Workers didn't pass by our table very much and so I had to flag down a worker who was helping someone else in order to get water. Rarely do I ever think of not tipping at all but I thought about it here... in the end I did tip but in my honest opinion... I really shouldn't have caved in. Overall... I would go back for take out maybe but only if I'm already near there. Food alone I'd give them 4 stars but because of the terrible service I'd have to bring it further down. I personally would never dine in there again because of their service but takeout should be ok since you aren't going to deal with their service... just walk in, pick up. And leave.

We had over estimated our ability to walk the heavy kayak down to the beach and the owner was very kind to assist us by loading it in his vehicle, while at the beach he introduced us to the life guard because he was concerned as there were strong winds/currents that day, and he also came to check in on us and helped drive the kayak back. We were super grateful for the effort he put in because it truly was exceptional. The boogie boards and snorkel gear were good quality and easy to carry if you're going to a local beach. If you do want to rent the kayaks, just make sure you have the transportation figured out. When we returned we also had some shaved ice which was some of the best we had during this trip.
