24oz Pineapple and Watermelon Vaifala
Ashley J.

They have a stand at bellows entrance in Waimanalo. I believe it's only o the weekends that they are there. There is a lot of parking. We ordered the 24oz Pineapple and Watermelon Vaifala. It was so delicious and refreshing. The lady working the booth was so friendly. They accept cash and card payments. They also had lemonade and Banana smoothie. If your looking for a refreshing drink and driving through waimanalo, Stop here.

I kept seeing the truck for Perefoti Island Fixx at the Ewa Mahiko District Park and actually had to Google what vaifala was. Ooooh, did it sound delicious! I never carry cash with me so I just let me mouth salivate with wishes of a nice, cool taste of vaifala. Fast-forward a few months and I'm headed to Bellows one Sunday. I'm used to seeing a Huli Huli Chicken truck there at the turn in to Bellows but on this day, it looked like a food truck event was going on! How marvelous! We decided to stop and I immediately made my way to Perefoti Island Fixx (I had already spotted them before we parked). Not surprised but there was a small line that had formed. We did come at lunch time so who can blame my fellow people for wanting a cool, refreshing drink?? Finally, it was my turn! I ordered the pineapple vaifala in a Mason jar. $10 for a mason jar is actually pretty good compared to other food trucks! There was a lady, a gentleman, and a young boy manning the tent. The Uncle seemed to be in charge of the liquid part of the vaifala so he poured that into my jar. Then Auntie added the pineapple and the boy handed it to me. I could not contain my excitement I opened that jar right away - I don't think I had even finished paying yet :). The family that was working that day was extremely nice and friendly. The vaifala was all I ever hoped it would be! Now I know for next time - I think I'll make my way down their list of drinks which also included...A BANANA SLUSHI! I imagine all their locations (food truck spots?) have friendly people as are Samoans. The weather seems to be warming up a bit...I'll need a weekly vaifala fixx (see what I did there?).

Couldn't upload a short vid. but this is their yummy ice cream :)

5 stars for service & their ice cream :) I only had the ice cream from their menu. It's vanilla ice cream with like a toasted coconut caramel flavor syrup & if you're wondering what's the square chunks, it's like mochi (sticky rice cake) If you're filipino & know what bukayo is. That's what the syrup taste like :P

Fa'ausi w/vanilla ice cream & Watermelon Vaifala

Excellent! We loved everything about this truck. We got the Fa'ausi w/vanilla ice cream & Watermelon Vaifala. We're on vacation from San Diego and have never tried either of these before so we really didn't know what to expect. The Fa'ausi (Samoan caramel over coconut bread) w/vanilla ice cream was delicious & even though it was a simple dessert it had a really interesting & complex flavor profile. The flavor of the sauce almost reminds me of a caramel affagoto because it's has a darker caramel flavor and definitely has coffee in it. The texture of the coconut bread is almost like dense mochi & may have taro root in it. The Watermelon Vaifala reminded us of a Watermelon & Cream palleta we'd get back home in liquid form kind of like an agua fresca with cream. Refreshingly cold on a hot & humid day.

Half sweet island ice tea and half limeade, has a coconut taste to it, probably be bomb with some alcohol added to it too

I had my first drink from them a few weeks ago at the Full Moon Fest in Kapolei and I tried their watermelon float, I don't know the exact name, I just asked for a watermelon drink and then saw something about a float and she said they could add the watermelon and I'm glad I did, it was all kinds of heaven for a hot day too. Yesterday I went to their spot at Pearlridge and tried a half sweet island ice tea and half limeade that was recommended by a friend and it was a bit too sweet for me but since it tasted good, I was satisfied, gave it a hint of coconut, I like that. Very friend staff and quick service.

Original Vaifala (pineapple)

I always pass this truck when dropping my wife off to work. Today I decided to try it, especially with its 5 star rating on Yelp. I walked up and was greeted immediately. I explained i never had this so I got the rundown on what was popular. The girl at the window explained that i could get the original drinks with dairy or a sub... I got the original vaifala (pineapple) in the mason jar for $10. Within minutes I got my drink, ice cold and refreshing. I've never had such a creamy drink with fresh fruit. I love that you can taste the chunks of pineapple inside. Also, since I purchased the mason jar, my next visits will only be $5 to refill! Really can't beat that kind of deal. Looks like this will be a stop for me almost weekly as long as they are open!

Strawberry Pineapple & Vaimeleni (watermelon)
Jarica R.

Honestly the best vaifala I've ever had! Vaifala is a traditional Samoan drink. I tried their vaimeleni (watermelon) and it is so good and refreshing. Others also suggest their strawberry pineapple. What I love about vaifalas is that they include chunks of the actual fruit. Very tasteful! They're open from Wednesday- Sunday by Sears parking lot at Pearlridge Mall.

Vaifala and Fa'ausi Kalo with Ice cream

I went to the Salt Lake location right outside of Target. I tried the Vaifala and the Fa'ausi Kalo with Ice Cream. The Vaifala was so good and refreshing. I think this will be a go to drink when I'm craving something to quench my thirst. The Fa'ausi Kalo and ice cream was onoz too. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. Check them out when you folks get a chance and continue to support local businesses

THE BEST VAIFALA AROUND! I've tried other businesses and truthfully Perefoti does it best! Vaifala is a Samoan dessert drink so yes it's sweet but oh so delicious. They have Vaifala, Vaimeleni (watermelon), Poi Fa'i (banana poi), Vaitipolo (Limeade), and Sweet Island Ice Tea. They also do Fa'ausi Kalo Ice Cream. It's basically caramelized Kalo that they serve with ice cream. They also sell it on its own. Definitely something that you have to try to understand how delicious it is. You can definitely see how this family run business puts so much love, time, and dedication into it. We always come back not only because of how good everything is but also because of their customer service. One of the friendliest businesses we've come across. I definitely suggest following them on IG to see where they're gonna be at. Permanently they're in the Sears parking lot at Pearlridge. But they also do other events as well! P.S it's definitely worth it to purchase a jar and just purchase a refill the next time because trust me you're gonna want a next time!

Banana

Their truck was at Pearlridge today next to La Birria so I thought I'd give it a try. Got the poi fa'i (banana). It was cold, refreshing and very good. A bit sweet but if you want it as a dessert, it's perfect. I would give it four stars for the drink but was a bit turned off by the payment process. I only got one drink but decided to test if they took credit card. They did, but the card was taken by the teenager at window, passed to someone inside that I couldn't see, no receipt, and what was a $5 drink was a $6 charge on my card... I'm guessing there's an added fee for anything under $10 on a card and probably tax, but no one came to tell me it costs more if I use a charge card so to me this is a bit sketch. I actually quickly checked my phone after getting my card back to see how much I was really charged since I get notifications of all my charges as they are processed, and that's when I saw I was charged $6 versus $5. Receipt did come through after, but my credit card notice came first. I wouldn't mind trying the pineapple, but will pay cash next time.

They truly offer just about everything: prepared foods, fresh items, Japanese snacks, desserts, drinks, unique groceries, and so many products you won't find in a typical store. Every aisle felt like a new discovery, and I found myself picking up things I had never seen before. Whether you're looking for a quick meal, souvenirs, specialty snacks, or just want to browse, this place is absolutely worth a visit. The selection is unmatched, the prices are reasonable, and the whole experience is fun and memorable. I could easily spend hours exploring all the different foods, snacks, and drinks they have to offer. A must-visit while in Oahu!

Please AVOID this location at all costs!…read more Here is the updated response from their team. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY! I'm sorry Casee, but Donki does not care or take customer's complaints serious like your reply implies: At the outset, we apologize for the inconvenience and the experience you mentioned when shopping at our store on May 17, 2026 (Sunday). After reviewing this matter carefully, it appears: Store employees near the store exit asked every customer to present a copy of their purchase receipt; In addition to visible checks by store employees at the exit, signs were posted for customers: "Please have receipt ready"; Customers before you presented their receipts and, after a quick verification, their receipts were returned and they exited the store; When the store employee requested you to provide a copy of your purchase receipt, you were not able to and you searched the pockets in your clothes and in your shopping cart but the receipt could not be found; you then stated you had thrown away the receipt; In accordance with store policy, the store employee asked which check-out counter you made the purchase and you pointed in the direction of the self-check stations; You then retrieved your mobile phone and started video recording; As your hands were occupied video recording on your phone, our store employee pushed your cart to the self-check station area and you followed; Upon inspecting the self-check station you were at, there was no receipt. However, your receipt was later recovered from the attendant station after a cashier found a receipt at the self-check station you used and brought it to the attendant station. You continued to focus on your phone to video record. The store employee retrieved the receipt and compared it against the merchandise in your shopping cart; You continued to video record; After verification, the receipt was handed to you before the store employee pushed your cart to the exit area as you continued to video record on your mobile phone. You followed the store employee to the exit area and you left the store with your shopping cart; and On May 22, 2026 (Friday), at 6:36 PM, you submitted a formal report and claim to the store. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Don Don Donki. After spending a significant amount of money in the store and at the food court, I was stopped, detained, and escorted back to the checkout area against my wishes despite having paid for every item in my possession. One of the items I purchased even required an employee to remove a security hard tag during checkout, clearly demonstrating that the merchandise had been properly paid for. I am extremely concerned by the conduct of your security personnel during the incident in question. The video evidence clearly demonstrates that I did not voluntarily consent to returning to the store. Instead, I was directed and escorted back inside by Security Officer Siemens despite my expressed desire to leave the premises. At that time, all merchandise in my possession had already been lawfully purchased and paid for. More troubling is the fact that even after proof of purchase was produced and verified by store employees, Security Officer Siemens continued to retain control over my property and refused to return it immediately. Despite confirmation that all items had been properly paid for, I was treated as though I had committed a criminal act and was escorted from the store in a manner that was humiliating, intimidating, and highly embarrassing. As a paying customer who made multiple purchases at your establishment, including supporting one of your concession vendors, I find this treatment unacceptable. Customers should not be subjected to detention, public humiliation, or interference with their personal property simply because store procedures are inadequately staffed or managed. If receipt verification procedures are causing operational challenges due to a lack of manpower, that burden should not be shifted onto customers who have already completed lawful purchases. Operational shortcomings do not justify the detention of customers, the withholding of personal property, or conduct that may constitute false imprisonment and wrongful interference with personal property rights. I respectfully request a written explanation as to why I was detained, why my property was withheld after proof of purchase was presented, and what corrective actions will be taken to ensure that other customers are not subjected to similar treatment in the future. This incident has caused significant distress, embarrassment, and anxiety, and remains deeply disappointing given the manner in which I was treated despite being a legitimate paying customer What a shame, Don Don Donki. What a shame!
