Found my to go to coffee drink! Ice coffee cold brew with small boba and 75% sweetness. Just enough boldness and not like drinking sugar. Sister got brown sugar milk tea reg sugar; on the sweet side. Service quick and friendly.
Refreshing beverage in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii... That gigantic cup of boba caught our attention! It is at the Waikele Premium Outlets location of Taste Tea - on the Lowe's side of the outlet! Located near Petco, almost next to Leonard's Malasadamobibe, this Taste Tea is a food truck! Service is efficient and friendly! When asked for my name, I said, "Hello Kitty", with no problems! I took my Lychee Black iced tea (one of the recommended beverages) to go... there's no real seating area in the parking lot. There's a nice breeze, but the noises from the freeway aren't really pleasant... haha! This is just a convenient location! Tip: remember to enter your phone number onto their system to get credit for a free drink!
Taste Tea at the Waikele Outlets is a fun stop before starting a shopping trip. The menu is huge, with lots of choices. I would recommend to ask about sweetness levels. I got the peach tea with boba and asked for 30% sugar (thanks to the staff's advice). The boba isn't the best I've ever had, but still pretty good. There's no seating right by the truck, but you can walk over to the Safeway area to sit. One small warning: the cups are on the thinner side.My husband's cup cracked once when he squeezed too hard. Overall, tasty drinks and friendly service make it a nice treat before shopping.
Surprise to see how much boba they put in each drink. We got blended fruity pebbles and blended chocolate. The fruity pebbles was good and the blended chocolate was so so it was like chocolate milk with blended ice. Unfortunately the drinks were not blended thoroughly so we ended up with chunks of ice at the bottom. As for service it was fast and quick but I gotta say the girl taking our drink order had a bad attitude!! She sighed after we asked if the drinks came with boba, saying it already comes with boba but did you want anymore toppings added! Then asked how sweet we wanted it, and requested 75%, then she quickly said, 0,50, or 100!! Sorry the menu says 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100!! If they only offered 0, 50, or 100 then make corrections on the menu. Customer service needs more improvement. Side note they should check under their truck, there is a dead fat rat rotting!!
The milk tea has changed a bit. This place used to be one of my go-tos but now not really. I typically get my drink 25% but this one tastes like 0%. I like the small boba as the topping and they finally had it whereas the other times I have came here they always ran out. Service is average and expected. Make sure you check the hours before going.
service was good, drink was bad :( don't order boba, ask for a HALF SERVING, this is 1 serving and it filled up half my cup :( I questioned them and they said it was normal. Also don't do light ice, because that means no ice.
Quick & friendly service. Cute truck parked at Waikele shopping center. Chewy boba & cool refreshing drinks!
I was craving boba on my shopping trip so I decided to stop by. The cereal milk tea caught my eye and I knew I had to try it. The boba was sweet and chewy, the milk tea tasted like fruity pebbles, and it was really creamy. The women working were very friendly and my order didn't take long at all! It's just a small food truck, so they were out of some things but overall, really well and the price is average.
The teas were diluted and didn't taste good. The 50% sweet made me wonder how sweet the 100% must be. Matcha latte - the matcha was not mixed well. There were many little matcha curds/bits floating in my drink. The little boba were clumped together too. 4/10 Brown sugar milk tea - not enough milk or tea for that matter. Very odd taste. Nobody wanted to finish it. 4/10 Strawberry milk tea - ice blended was not an option. I ordered it for my niece. She took it home to blend with extra ice but I think nobody likes it either. Probably also 4/10 The girls were really friendly and the drinks were made super fast though. It's a shame the teas were meh.
I've been coming here for years! I always order their Fruity Pebbles Milk Tea with Boba. I wanted to try something different, so I ordered their Thai tea with Thai walls with boba and it was delicious. The condensed milk with thai tea was excellent. I definitely want to try their other drinks.
Yuuumm... Had couple of drinks from here now, and I still look forward to try so many more of the flavors they offer. My favorite drink so far is the lychee iced tea with spring tea and small boba! It's a very refreshing drink. I like going to boba places that offer more choices rather than just the regular size boba. I like the small boba sometimes, less chewing. I also enjoy coming here because they are fast and friendly.
I've been to this Taste tea several times already & only now I'm doing a review (fail) it's location is convenient to me & although there is other boba places around I love my taste tea! They are located in the waikele shopping center near old navy & conveniently located next to other popular trucks like Leonard's malasadas & mountain magic shave ice I believe. They close pretty early @ around 6. I always get my go to which is a brown sugar milk tea w/Thai walls, no boba. Yes, I like boba shops but don't order boba in my drinks :') lol I ask them to always put the walls on the bottom of my cup as well bc I like to have some of the walls with each sip. They always accommodate my add on requests with no problem so that's why I also love it here. They've been out of blended drinks for awhile now which Is a little bummer but they still have lots to choose from. 10/10 would recommend.

Love their customer service one of my favorites milk tea place in Oahu. Love their coffee milk tea & honey dew with 50% of sweetness 5 star read more
It's tea time... In this summertime heat so whatever I'm doing and today was some retail therapy and as I was shoe shopping and since it's been awhile it had to be tea time and with the other tea spot was flooded with peeps I did a search and was so happy to find a spot with a short drive in the area. Taste Tea is located in Waikele Premium Outlet which is divided in to two section and Taste Tea is located in the area with Lowe's and Old Navy area and is found along the fence and not in the McDonald's food area. This tiny trailer does have it all like any full service store with menu filled with options for me it was the simple "Honey Iced Tea" and with the choice of teas it was Spring Tea my favorite with light sweetness was a nice and refreshing sip. The only downside is there not seating in this area regardless of the freeway vibe and is pretty much a grab and go situation though love the convenience of having this spot with lots of free parking does make very Taste Tea. Thank you! read more
Fast service, but this was absolutely water with a hint of tea. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba and the drink barely tasted like tea. The bobas also had little flavor. Really disappointed. I went on a weekend (Saturday) and there was no one in front of me, so they should not be rushed or anything. I would expect better. The area is convenient and parking is plentiful, but I definitely don't recommend this place. One of the worst boba drinks I've had. read more

After mr workout I decided to treat myself. Yes it was late but hey I was craving it . I was at the Waikele truck and decided to get the iced Cafe Latte 30%. You also have options to add boba, jelly and other add on's that were listed in the menu. All with added cost of course. My drink was prepared quickly and I grabbed my straw and poked it through the cover (a must) when I took my first sip it was just what I needed! The right amount of ice, the right amount of sweetness and the size was perfect! I chose a medium sized drink. This totally hit the spot! read more
Not bad if you are really in need of a bubble tea. Plus, it's conveniently located with the rest of the food trucks at Waikele Outlets. However, they don't have all of the same selections as their brick and mortar (i.e. no coffee jelly). read more

Got the dairy free taro milk tea. They ran out of the regular boba pearls so I ended up with the small boba balls. The boba was soft and chewy, unlike other spots. Perfect balance, not too sweet and not too bland. read more
I have seen the Taste Tea truck for several months but hadn't had the chance to stop in. I'm glad I finally did! Although having a menu heavy with milk teas (which I don't care for), they have other tea options as well as some lemonades. I've had the mango and lychee black tea and my kids like the strawberry lemonade. I feel the prices are more reasonable than some of the tea places popping up. Boba is nice and chewy too! You can customize with their different tea options like green or black and also customize the sweetness. Regardless if you customize it, or not, they ask you if you'd like to taste it before they close it up in case you want to change it up a bit (more or less sweet). They do a stamp card. I wasn't offered one on my first visit, but was given one on my second visit. Located in Waikele - in the food truck area - closest to the Petco (or is it Pet Smart?). Tons of free parking. read more

Always hits the spot! My latest craze is coffee milk tea with small tapioca (from mango lilikoi with lychee jelly and big tapioca). Their tapioca texture is perfect IMO. It is on the mushier side, but I prefer that since I rarely can finish in one sitting. Then refrigeration doesn't make it icky hard. They allow you to select your level of sweetness. I'm boring... I choose regular every time But I love the vintage "choose your own adventure" style goin on! I do wish they had more *extras* though... I LOVE coffee jelly added to coffee milk tea I'll keep hope alive Taste Tea, (at least the locations on Oahu), is consistently satisfying! This location, in particular, is convenient to home and the later hours helps to ensure that a majority of my cravings are met by them. Awesome sauce read more

This place is a great choice to pair with some Thai food right next door. While waiting for my Thai food I can't help but resist taste tea. This is the closest boba spot to where I live. I recommend their fruit iced tea like a mango black tea with boba. read more
How do we spend National Boba Day? By visiting a boba place of course!! Spent the afternoon shopping at Waikele so when we noticed Taste Tea had no line, we darted over to get our boba fix. As soon as we got to the order window we were informed that they were out of boba. It was okay with us and decided to order anyways to support the business and show our appreciation on this National Boba Day!! Their menu is displayed right next to the order window and easy to choose drinks from. I got myself the Thai Tea with Thai Walls. My daughter got her usual Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Both were very tasty!! As we were waiting for our drinks, they started to get busy. Not much space for social distancing even though it is an outside venue. So on that note, I was a little disappointed that the server decided to complete a handful of drinks before passing them out. Our drinks were waiting since we were the first that ordered. Otherwise, they were pretty quick with their service. Happy National Boba Day everyone!! read more

This is one of my husband and mines favorite boba place to go to on island! They make the best Taro and Taro Coconut boba I was so happy they had a truck open up in Waikele, and save us from making a trip into town. Prices: Very reasonable for the quality of tea, and perfectly boiled and flavored boba. The prices are as follows in the pic as of July 2, 2018. I haven't seen the yelp check-in button on the app, but after asking the girl she gave me the yelp check-on discount...can't remember what it was since I didn't get a receipt, but a discount is a discount Service: Even if there is a line, they're super fast with orders, take cards on a Square app, super nice and composed even if someone's giving them a ridiculous, uncertain, and/or indecisive order in the heat of that hot truck (I would've lost it had it been me in there taking orders in that heat). **Make sure you use or get a stamp card, cause it'll fill up before you know it to get you a free one. Location/Parking: You can see it from the H1 freeway, and it's in the waikele parking lot next to petco and old navy with all the other food trucks. Park anywhere in that old Kmart parking lot, or get lucky next to the trucks in the shade of the trees. read more

Had to make a quick boba run for my sister before heading home. Ordering is quick and easy as 1,2,3 and 4. 1. Choose size 2. Choose drink 3. Choose sweetness 4. Any add ons Good thing about it, you can try the drink before they seal it so you can get it just how you like it. Don't forget the stamp card! Also I forgot to mention they are fast. Seriously! I thought I'd have enough time to take some pictures of the menu and what not. I had just put away my credit card and my drinks were already done! I got the pictures btw. And 20% off the purchase when you check in on Yelp even better score! read more

I am honestly NOT a tea person, but taste tea I like! :) Why? Because I hate the tea taste, they offer a variety of drinks, flavor for your tea, allows you to control the sweetness of your tea (Which I do extra sweet which makes it not taste like tea to me!. ... HINT Hint if you are like me and not a tea lover lol), and offers add ins for your drink at additional charge. It's like you're able to create your own drink for your own taste! They do let you sample your drink... after you order it. Which is kind of backwards to me but at least they offer a sample? Haha. Also, unlike other Taste Tea Locations, since this is a "Tea Truck" there is LOTS of parking around! It's also located by other food trucks and a malasada truck. One con, is that there is no designated seating area but a plus? It's at Waikele Premium outlets so busy take your drink along with you through out the mall to shop! :) Customer service is also excellent as I am greeted when in sight and was able to get all the questions that I've had for them answered. Loved being welcomed and thanked as I received my drink and left. Last but not least, my favorite drink? Wintermelon Tea Latte with extra sweetness and regular boba/tapioca!! ALWAYS hits the spot for my non tea loving taste buds! Lol. And oh! They offer coffee drinks as well! ;) read more

Yaaaas! finally a new boba place that has very ample parking! I am not one who likes to "hang-out" at boba joints, starbucks, etc. so I certainly do not mind picking up drinks and digging out. I just wanted to leave a short review to thank Taste Tea for servicing the boba lovers in the area. For one, inside the mall where I have to battle for parking then walk in. Two, its not all the way in town where I'd have to drive more than 15 minutes and still battle for parking. Three, there is soooo much parking available at Waikele especially since Kmart closed down. read more
