It's tea time... In this summertime heat so whatever I'm doing and today was some retail therapy and as I was shoe shopping and since it's been awhile it had to be tea time and with the other tea spot was flooded with peeps I did a search and was so happy to find a spot with a short drive in the area. Taste Tea is located in Waikele Premium Outlet which is divided in to two section and Taste Tea is located in the area with Lowe's and Old Navy area and is found along the fence and not in the McDonald's food area. This tiny trailer does have it all like any full service store with menu filled with options for me it was the simple "Honey Iced Tea" and with the choice of teas it was Spring Tea my favorite with light sweetness was a nice and refreshing sip. The only downside is there not seating in this area regardless of the freeway vibe and is pretty much a grab and go situation though love the convenience of having this spot with lots of free parking does make very Taste Tea. Fast service, but this was absolutely water with a hint of tea. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba and the drink barely tasted like tea. The bobas also had little flavor. Really disappointed. I went on a weekend (Saturday) and there was no one in front of me, so they should not be rushed or anything. I would expect better. Taste Tea at the Waikele Outlets is a fun stop before starting a shopping trip. The menu is huge, with lots of choices. I would recommend to ask about sweetness levels. I got the peach tea with boba and asked for 30% sugar (thanks to the staff's advice). The boba isn't the best I've ever had, but still pretty good. There's no seating right by the truck, but you can walk over to the Safeway area to sit. One small warning: the cups are on the thinner side.My husband's cup cracked once when he squeezed too hard. Surprise to see how much boba they put in each drink. We got blended fruity pebbles and blended chocolate. The fruity pebbles was good and the blended chocolate was so so it was like chocolate milk with blended ice. Unfortunately the drinks were not blended thoroughly so we ended up with chunks of ice at the bottom. As for service it was fast and quick but I gotta say the girl taking our drink order had a bad attitude!! She sighed after we asked if the drinks came with boba, saying it already comes with boba but did you want anymore toppings added! Then asked how sweet we wanted it, and requested 75%, then she quickly said, 0,50, or 100!! Sorry the menu says 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100!! Very rude/passive aggressive customer service! I asked for a drink with no boba. I guess they didn't hear me asking for no boba so they made the drink already. They close pretty early @ around 6. I always get my go to which is a brown sugar milk tea w/Thai walls, no boba. They always accommodate my add on requests with no problem so that's why I also love it here. After mr workout I decided to treat myself. Yes it was late but hey I was craving it . I was at the Waikele truck and decided to get the iced Cafe Latte 30%. You also have options to add boba, jelly and other add on's that were listed in the menu. All with added cost of course. My drink was prepared quickly and I grabbed my straw and poked it through the cover (a must) when I took my first sip it was just what I needed! I have seen the Taste Tea truck for several months but hadn't had the chance to stop in. I'm glad I finally did! Although having a menu heavy with milk teas (which I don't care for), they have other tea options as well as some lemonades. I've had the mango and lychee black tea and my kids like the strawberry lemonade. I feel the prices are more reasonable than some of the tea places popping up. Boba is nice and chewy too! You can customize with their different tea options like green or black and also customize the sweetness. Regardless if you customize it, or not, they ask you if you'd like to taste it before they close it up in case you want to change it up a bit (more or less sweet). They do a stamp card. I wasn't offered one on my first visit, but was given one on my second visit. Located in Waikele - in the food truck area - closest to the Petco (or is it Pet Smart?). Always hits the spot! My latest craze is coffee milk tea with small tapioca (from mango lilikoi with lychee jelly and big tapioca). Their tapioca texture is perfect IMO. It is on the mushier side, but I prefer that since I rarely can finish in one sitting. Then refrigeration doesn't make it icky hard. They allow you to select your level of sweetness. I'm boring... I choose regular every time But I love the vintage "choose your own adventure" style goin on! I do wish they had more *extras* though... How do we spend National Boba Day? By visiting a boba place of course!! Spent the afternoon shopping at Waikele so when we noticed Taste Tea had no line, we darted over to get our boba fix. As soon as we got to the order window we were informed that they were out of boba. It was okay with us and decided to order anyways to support the business and show our appreciation on this National Boba Day!! Their menu is displayed right next to the order window and easy to choose drinks from. I got myself the Thai Tea with Thai Walls. My daughter got her usual Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Both were very tasty!! As we were waiting for our drinks, they started to get busy. Not much space for social distancing even though it is an outside venue. So on that note, I was a little disappointed that the server decided to complete a handful of drinks before passing them out. Our drinks were waiting since we were the first that ordered. This is one of my favorite boba tea places on Oahu. They have an actual store in Ala Moana but you can enjoy the same tea here at their food truck in Waikele. All of their tea are pretty good and reasonably pricred than other places. If you order two large drinks with boba, they usually come out around $12. Well not here....under $10! They even let you taste the tea to make sure you will like what you order. One downfall is they barely do not have anything does not contain caffeine. One of the two was honey lemonade and actually it was delicious. I actually like this location a lot better than the one in town. I am honestly NOT a tea person, but taste tea I like! :) Why? Because I hate the tea taste, they offer a variety of drinks, flavor for your tea, allows you to control the sweetness of your tea (Which I do extra sweet which makes it not taste like tea to me!. ... HINT Hint if you are like me and not a tea lover lol), and offers add ins for your drink at additional charge. It's like you're able to create your own drink for your own taste! They do let you sample your drink... after you order it. Which is kind of backwards to me but at least they offer a sample? Haha. Also, unlike other Taste Tea Locations, since this is a "Tea Truck" there is LOTS of parking around! It's also located by other food trucks and a malasada truck. One con, is that there is no designated seating area but a plus? It's at Waikele Premium outlets so busy take your drink along with you through out the mall to shop! :) Customer service is also excellent as I am greeted when in sight and was able to get all the questions that I've had for them answered. This food/drink truck is located in Waikele at the old K-mart parking lot. I always come here for their matcha tea latte, half sweet with small or large tapioca half the amount, & half sweet. Their honeydew, coffee milk tea, fruity pebbles & molten tapioca milk is also good. Prices are affordable compared to other boba places. Best to come on a weekday it's less busy. Enjoy! read more

A bubble tea truck in Waikele Center open everyday. A boba drink lover's dream :) Located right next to the Leonard's malasadas truck near Petco store and Old Navy. There are metal barricades prevent you from getting hit from pasting vehicles. Their menu is similar to the store menu. You can use the stamp card here as well. I was looking forward to having their winter melon tea latte with spring tea. But unfortunately they were out of the winter melon flavor. Real bummer, but I ordered the original milk tea with big boba. Love the smooth milk tea flavor with the richness. Remember the black straws are for the small boba and the clear straws for the large boba. I kept spilling the milk tea on my clothes because I was having difficulty sucking the big boba out of the cup. The downside of the convenient truck are the buzzing bees flying around the front of the menu sign. I kept moving away so I wouldn't get stung. The sweetness attracts the bees. If the store owner can fix this, I'll be coming back for more boba. read more

Yaaaas! finally a new boba place that has very ample parking! I am not one who likes to "hang-out" at boba joints, starbucks, etc. so I certainly do not mind picking up drinks and digging out. I just wanted to leave a short review to thank Taste Tea for servicing the boba lovers in the area. For one, inside the mall where I have to battle for parking then walk in. Two, its not all the way in town where I'd have to drive more than 15 minutes and still battle for parking.
