Sweet young lady said boba is not ready. Don't need boba I replied. Best of 3 world: matcha like Jamba, green tea ice cream like Dave's and pudding on bottom like Coffee Tea. Another friend got the peach iced tea with lychee jelly at 50% sweetness -- super refreshing and just right for the hot weather. A perfect light option. Really nice person helped answer my questions. First time trying here. She recommended the fresh fruit watermelon slushy, as I had requested something refreshing and not sweet. You can select your level of sweetness here. I chose 50%. I added boba as an afterthought. It's an additional 75 cents. Bad move on my part. Skip the boba, it didn't taste fresh. Squishy soft if you like that. No taste to the boba. As for the watermelon slushy, they used fresh cut watermelon, ice and a liquid sweetener (I believe). That's it. Not sweet at all. I'm a fan of honeydew melon Boba. This is the first place that I've been to that they use real honeydew, they actually blended into the drink instead of using the powder. I appreciate that so much and the taste is so much more better. If you wanna come to the Boba Cha, they're very nice and welcoming, but sometimes you have to wait and that's OK. I mean seriously- the "Bing Bros" opened and then the katsu Lobster sando place and Uncle's with the seafood and the hotdog place which was (don't get me wrong I loved pronouncing that Korean name it was for hot dog on the stick) and the popcorn and roasted nuts across them and cookie corner right there!! --- yes we need that drink place! The best part is--- I discovered they make their Smoothies pure. There isn't the "powdered" mixes or sugar in the one I picked... and I wanna believe that their small choices they have can also bemade without sugar when you ask for it that way... and I really appreciate that... If you haven't been to this side of Pearlridge, Boba Cha sits near the escalators on the second of three floors, this floor being the main one. This was my first time visiting so I went with the Classic Milk Tea, the first one listed on the menu. You have choices to add boba, jelly, etc but for now I stuck with what's in the name, boba. Plus, they are fun to drink. Since I was the only one there, my order came out real quick and it was delicious! Not too sweet with a tea flavor and the boba had a good texture to it. The only downfall was they didn't have tapioca balls available at that time so that was what I felt was missing. The prices are pretty moderate (milk teas are 3.50-4.50) (smoothies: 4.00-6.00) (classic ice teas are 3.50-4.00) toppings are an additional .50 (so if you don't like boba/jelly you save .50) They do not have a sweetness system like other boba locations which is rather unique because they determine the preferred sweetness level for us. Customer service was on point (: However something I would like to see is less ice in the ice teas because by the time I finished my drink, 3/4 of the cup was filled with ice.
