There is literally a S7 everywhere now!!! I'm not mad about it because I love that they have varieties instead of just Bobas and smoothies. Like the bubble waffles and the ice cream rolls and at this location, they had some pickled mango in the fridge and other pretty good snacks too! I bought some pickled mango and we bought some lemon peel li hing mui candy We also was able to get our Boba fix. Our son got his smoothie fix and I got my dessert fixed with the bubble waffle. Love that we all got our fix in one store and left it with more snacks!!! They do have the usual goods in the side that you can browse and purchase which is one of the reason they got so big. They do serve ice cream rolls so you know we had to get one. We got the usual banana Nutella with extra Nutella ice cream rolls and we got a sunrise surprise to drink. The staff asked if we wanted a large or small size and we went with large. Being able to serve consistently awesome milk tea drinks is the reason this is my favorite milk tea franchises in Hawai'i. I used to drive to Pearl City for them until they moved to this location. Will drive wherever if they have a S7 Icy Bubble. The added bonus is that this location also has crack seed, pickeled mango, smoke squid, cotton candy, shaved ice, the way I like it, waffle cones, school supplies, etc. Just stop in, you're bound to find something you like. Yah idk what happened since I left but for whatever reason s7 as a whole somehow fell off since I left and came back. Idk how you did that riding the covid high and somehow almost circling the drain 3 years and change later. Also while I love the expanded crackseed I didn't like the smaller menu as this is the smallest of the 3 locations and tis one in particular was the worst of the 3 I've had since returning. I ordered a peach blush and what was normally a solid choice was somehow watered down to nothing. Could barely taste the peach flavor and the blush which is normally a refreshing drink was more flat than not. Perhaps they were swamped all day and didn't have time to check since they were semi packed when I went but still that's bad enough. This review is for the bubble waffle icecream. The waffle was not cooked well all the way and kind of mushy with the icecream. We've had bubble waffle icecream before and this was disappointing. Plus it took a long time getting it which I understand because they have to make the waffle. However, the girl who was working there never mentioned anything to us as we stood there waiting confused making sure they didn't forget us. It took over 20 minutes. Some guy walked into the store, swiped the drinks and just walked out. The people behind the counter were like, hey, was that THE guy? And we were like, hey, was that OUR drinks?? I and my husband use to go S7 Icy Bubble in Pearl City. When we found the Pearl City location closed, we saw the sign they were going to move new location, more close our neighborhood! I had just stopped at this little shopping plaza to get something from Palama when walking past this store, I saw the big sign for the bubble waffle, and my heart squeed. I told myself, after Palama, I would stop in for a bubble waffle. So I did. They make a great early afternoon snack. I tend to be traditional when it comes to these bubble waffles. I ordered the original. No frills on it. Hoping to get an eggy, aromatic crisp outside, yet soft inside. This waffle fell quite short from most of that. The outside was soft, almost soggy, despite having no toppings on it. The flavor itself was quite lacking. It didn't have much flavor of anything other than dough. It was unevenly cooked but cooked through. One side did have a bubble or two with the crisp exterior, but the rest was limp. It was also coming apart. It did not keep it's shape. The two sides of the bubble separated. Service was good. It was quite a wait for this waffle, but I came at the wrong time. They had about 18 drinks lined up on the counter in holders for what looked like a really big order that, at one point, two of them were focused on. I also ordered my usual Lychee blush with crystal boba. That was perfect. I will not be trying their bubble waffle again. That made me sad. read more

I was so excited when I saw that S7 Icy Bubble opened in Waimalu. S7 Icy Bubble is hands down one of my favorite boba shops. This location, in particular, is really cool because they serve Bubble Waffles! It's pretty spacious with lots of tables and chairs for dine-in. It's also neat because they have the usual Icy Bubble toys and stuff AND variety of crack seed. I felt that they were expensive, but I also haven't been to a crack seed store in forever so I can't tell if they were; however, it could also be affordable so if somebody knows, then please let me know! Lol! I wanted to get a drink and didn't feel like drinking my usual drink, so I tried something new. Bad idea. I tried the Aloha Taro ($5.79) since it's popular and hated it. It's "special" milk with taro pieces, but to me, it felt like I was only drinking milk. I also thought the taro pieces would be blended into the milk, but it's literally chunks of taro at the bottom. I hated it so much that I dumped it after the first sip. I should've just got what I know and love. My sister got the Strawberry Banana Smoothie ($6.59), which was way better than the Aloha Taro. We shared the Oreo Bubble Waffle ($8.50), which was the best thing we had. The bubble waffle was chewy and soft. The one complaint I had about the bubble waffle was that it was hard to eat out of a cup. Maybe it would be easier to eat in a bowl or a wider cup? It was difficult to eat without getting your hands messy because of the ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup, but overall, it was a yummy dessert, and I'd order it again I just wish it had one more scoop of ice cream because we ate that quick LOL. As for service, there was an unhappy female employee. She made me feel unwelcome. No hello, no smile, nothing. Personally I just don't like that feeling when an employee doesn't know how to greet a customer, but I think I feel that way because I've worked in retail for 8 years and it's a big pet peeve of mines when employees can't even acknowledge you with a smile. HOWEVER, I did stop by a second time and had a much nicer male cashier who at least greeted me with a hello. I actually ordered my usual Honeydew Milk Tea ($5.59) with custard pudding ($0.55) and boba ($0.55) and an Original Bubble Waffle ($6.00). The Honeydew Milk Tea upset my stomach a little bit as the custard tasted a bit funny... but I just brushed it off and drank it and avoided the custard. Lol. The original bubble waffle was a great treat to get with my drink. This location is nice, spacious, and pretty clean. Parking can be a bit of a challenge because it is located in Waimalu Shopping Center, and depending on what time you go, parking can be terrible. Yummmm! Another great boba spot popped up near my home! I don't have to drive far for a midnight (milk) tea or oolong milk tea anymore! I could even go for a nice, long walk from home or Blaisdell Park if I wanted to! Yup, another S7 with the same drink-ice cream roll-trinket shop format. Hubby and I accidentally found this location on our way to Shiro's Saimin for lunch two weekends ago. We were so excited knowing our Aiea neighborhood has increasing options for good boba! They started off as cash only, but that didn't stop us! From my experience, S7 locations vary in quality; some better than others. I wanted to give this neighborhood S7 a chance, so I ordered my baseline S7 drink, the midnight tea. The drink was just as tasty as Pearl City's! The Kunia location seemed to have missed with this one and other milk teas. Hubby ordered the Yike Tea (pronounced "ee-kuh). I couldn't tell what the flavor profile was supposed to be. On another day, hubby and I came by for lunch at Pho Five-O (Catania was closed for a private party ): ) and once again, S7 "dragged" us in! I used to enjoy Pearl City and Wahiawa's Fire Oolong/Oolong Milk Tea Creamy, but Kunia's wasn't as fresh, and as I get older, I don't get into rich drinks as my 18 y/o self used to, so I ordered the regular oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness. Hubby ordered a jasmine milk tea at 25% sweetness. I guess my drink was that good that hubby accidentally drank more than half when I Iet him hold my cup! Almost a week later, I'm still craving the oolong and jasmine flavors! Boba was till cooked well and slightly sweet. Now for the elephant in the room...yes, Waimalu now has two boba shops. I think they each have something unique to offer, and both are worth visiting, depending on what you're craving. Tea Spot = fresh fruit drinks and soufflé pancakes S7 = milk teas I go to specific boba shops for specific drinks. If I'm craving dessert-y, richer boba drinks, S7 hits the spot. This new S7 location grand opening was last Friday, 30 June! And safe to say, it's just as good as it's other locations with an additional menu item of ice cream rolls! You can really hear them work hard at chopping up the ice cream to make the rolls nice and smooth. Definitely an easier location for those living in Pearl City or in Aiea with ample parking. Opens 1030, closes 2100. Some of my favorites include Midnight Tea, their Honeydew Smoothie, Aloha Taro, Taro Coconut Smoothie, etc. It really depends on your mood, they got something for everyone. You can alter your sweetness level and there are so many toppings to choose from!
