The holidays are over but the need to find the unique items for any occasions...totes low as $3 are always in need and to have these craft fairs on a scheduled basis is a great support to our local small businesses and to easily reach out to folks looking for that something that's not easily found in one location. This Made with Aloha Gift Fair is at Pearlridge Center Mauka Wing every third Saturday and Sundays right in the middle of it all and the vendors may vary at moments though follow @islandcraftfairs as they will list the participating shops and what they have to offer...it sure got me down here to see what Chinese New Year items they have from Unik Gifts and Things and no they don't have instagram but though wonderful events like this reached out to many folks flocking over to shop and with my purchase he gave me a free frog charm for good luck as he says "you can't buy luck" very true and a generous gesture which was truly valuable and this made me smile. But if you want something a little more special, definitely look for the local vendors. There are some great spots with handmade items. A few of my favorites that I actually bought from and brought home and I am using: - Cheeky Beach: super cute beachwear by Vivian and her son (they also have a shop in Haleiwa) - Touch of a Goddess: handmade jewelry by a mother-daughter duo - Leonardo Dale Photography: beautiful photo art of the island now displaying at my house. There's a ton to see, so go with time, it's a big market. They also have food and sometimes live music. Admission is $2 per person (cash only), and I'd recommend bringing cash since a lot of vendors don't take cards.

But I took my kids to another coffee truck (A Little A Latte) and like it goes with kids, they made me late. So I got here right at 10. But it's ok bc Cai.CafeX3 was just getting here. So I was a tad annoyed. But then I actually looked at the sign and it said 11am. They opened the doors right on time at 11 and took the first two customers in. I waited not even 5 more min before they let me in. Initially they were still making drinks for Jolene's staff which I think is awesome to bless their staff with a drink but it really delayed the drinks for the rest of us. They were very nice tho and kept apologizing. Wasn't a huge problem bc at the beginning of events like this you need to hit your groove. I was out of there by 11:22. The girls in front of me ordered a total of 4 drinks, and I ordered 3 drinks.... So I guess over all with all the staff drinks they had to make, and the fact that it was only one drink maker... they were still pretty quick. The line was wrapping around Jolene's so I think they will do well. I ordered the Vanilla Salted Caramel, the Strawberry Matcha Spritzer, and the Hojicha. They were only offering oat milk today, I think to manage the line, but if you go to their IG they normally offer other milks. I will need to try them again when I can choose bc I do not really like oat milk. But I do like how you can customize your sweetness level. All our drinks were good. My daughter pilfered the spritzer. Of the three the salted vanilla was the best. Their straws were cute pink heart straws that didn't photograph well in its wrapping. The amazing joy I find is that no two market is alike, as this December 2022 at Ward Village event was held in the former Pier 1 location next to Nordstrom Rack. I had a blast exploring @AdamJK uniqueness as each of us loved the realness we can relate to each item weather a time that says shhhh, I got a stress ball that says "Nothing Matters" and I'd really like the hat "I really don't know what I'm doing" for work lol!! His spirit was just so fun and bright :-) My other delight was One Shabby Chick @oneshabbychickhawaii and unknowingly my first tote from her was a collaboration with @makelemonadeproject a non profit to ease financial burdens and going though it myself instantly got me so of course I needed another tote! So many fun gifting ideas, Bas bookshop, jewelry ad even a random give away "fingers crossed" this pet friendly market has something for all. October 30, 2014 I took my family to the Art and Flea event…read more I caught the bus with my daughter and foster child. We met Darcie who parked her car in the Ward Warehouse parking lot. We walked across the street to the back portion behind Marukai. Admission was $3 for the adults. The two kids were free. There were food booths but we saved our hunger for Goma Tei in the Ward Center. I jumped on the bike that helped power the KTUH sound stage. I got a free bag from Kaleo newspaper. It had some cool goodies inside. At the Yelp booth, Raelyn played a trivia game. I won a Yelp thermos. Many vendors were set up in a two-story warehouse. We picked up some cool young women's clothes at a terrific discount. Andy Lee was making his art and kindly gave us a free sample. All in all a pretty good night for a family get-together or outing. Also, it seemed very pet friendly even though the theme was Tokyo. During some bedtime talk we agreed that this event was more art than flea, but the flea bargains were indeed great.

As first-time customers, there was also no explanation of the scoop sizes or pricing, which made ordering more confusing than it needed to be. When we finally ordered, two items were made correctly, but one person in our group ordered dragonfruit gelato. The employee started scooping strawberry instead, and even after we politely pointed it out, there was no acknowledgment or apology--just silence. It made for a really uncomfortable interaction. While we were eating, the employee went into the back, and we could hear her loudly scrolling on social media with the volume on full blast, even laughing at times. Toward the end of our visit, she came back to the front, sat down, and continued on her phone. The entire atmosphere felt so awkward that we decided to leave and finish our gelato in our cars. Even as we walked out, there was no thank you, no goodbye--no acknowledgment at all. It was honestly disappointing. That said, the gelato itself is actually really good, and the interior of the shop is nice. That's the only reason I'd consider coming back. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Proper customer service training is definitely needed. I would come back for sure, but I wouldn't return if that same employee was behind the counter.
