My son and I went to Old Navy this morning to return some clothes we saw a row of food trucks parked right next to Petco. The weather wasn't very good, it was showering a little bit. But that didn't stop my son from wanting some bubble tea. They have a good selection of bubble teas. They have regular tea, iced tea, lemonade, cold brew, english tea, milk tea, and blended milk tea. I actually want to try Pickled Mango Tea. I love sour drinks. For the add-ins, you can get mini boba, big boba, pudding, jelly, and wait for it....ice cream!! What?! Ice cream?? Gonna have to try that next time. And like any other bubble tea places, you can always control the sweetness. I ordered Taiwan Wintermelon Tea Latte with big boba, and 50% sweetness. I couldn't really taste the wintermelon part of it, and it's my favorite flavor to order too. And i always get it at 50% sweetness. The other boba places i guess just has that stronger wintermelon flavor that i like. They put a lot of boba in it too, which is a win. My son got the chocolate milk latte, 75% sweetness without anything in it, cause he's just picky like that. He said it was okay and that he had better. This boba truck is my go to and never been disappointed. Today was the first I've ever experience bad product. The reason I have them a 3 star instead of a 1 star is because, they fixed the problem and accommodate what I wanted. I ordered a Winter Melon Late, as I was walking away I took a taste of my drink and it tasted like chlorine water. I went back and have got a different drink and I tasted it, it was fine until I drive away as I continued to drink my drink, the taste of chlorine just became stronger and stronger. I'm updating my review to a 2-star mainly due to cleanliness. When ordering more than one drink, I see the cashier touch the outside of the cups when writing with a Sharpie and put them in each other, so basically her dirty hand (that collects money from customers) touches the outside of one of my cups then touches the inside of the other cup when she stacks them within each other. Also at the pick up window, I see the beverage maker/sealer, scoop ice and throw the scooper in the ice. That is a big no-no and makes the ice dirty from the scooper/handle contaminating the ice. There was only a couple people ahead of us, but it was nice because we're outdoors waiting in line and we were able to maintain social distancing. The worker who took our order was very nice. After purchasing my malasadas from the nearby Leonard's Bakery Mobile at the Waikele Premium Outlets on a Saturday afternoon I had walked over two trucks away to Taste Tea. Taste Tea Truck has both milk teas and regular iced teas. I do need a cool down drink to satisfy my thirst. Being that it was my first time ordering from Taste Tea I had to study the menu. There were many flavors. Which one to choose?? I know I didn't want any milk teas. Do I want black tea, green tea, or oolong tea? How much sweetness do I want? Hmm...mango and lychee iced tea sounds delicious to me. I opted to order the 100% sweetness mango flavored black iced tea. I chose a small size cup. While waiting for my drink to be made I noticed that the Taste Tea truck had advertisement stating that they are on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Boba tea fanatics can follow Taste Tea on one or all three social medias. I looked towards the pickup section of the truck and noticed a cup placed on the counter. I walked over and noticed the cup had "Gina" written on it. Must be mines. I grabbed one of the black straws and poked the cover. Tasted my mango flavored ice tea... absolutely delicious. I need to remember the next time I do head to Waikele Premium Outlets to make a stop at Taste Tea for a drink. I've always been a fan of boba and milk tea, and I'm so happy Taste Tea has a truck on the west side so I don't have to drive all the way out to Honolulu. I usually get the taro or matcha milk tea, half sweet with less ice. The one thing I like about taste Tea is their consistency. No matter who makes it, it always tastes the same. You can sample the drink you get before they seal it. There aren't as much add on options as their store location and they don't offer any blended drinks but it definitely does the job and there are still many flavors to choose from. If you're lactose intolerant or don't like milk tea they also have flavored black, green or jasmine iced tea, coffee and lemonade. Split cups are available if you can't decide for a little bit more. The price for their tea is on the cheaper side compared to the tea place right near my house, however their cup size is a little smaller compared to that but still very affordable. I usually always go for winter melon tea cause that's the only tea I really care for... not a fan of milk tea. HOWEVER, I recently got a honeydew milk tea from a different tea place and boy was that yummy. So today I decided to have it again. 1. It tastes different from the other place and the color of it as well. Their honeydew milk tea is the brownish color and it's a very light honeydew flavor compared to the other place which was green and actually tasted like honeydew. So I know everywhere has their own style and ways of doing stuff but I think for my own personal opinion I'll be sticking to my winter melon tea. But on the plus side, they let you taste it prior to sealing it up so always do that is what I recommend so you can enjoy your drink your way! read more

We love the Taste Tea food truck in Waikele! It is the closest location for us, considering we live in Mililani. The driving distance is probably perfect and preventing me from visiting Taste Tea daily. If they were any closer, I'd probably just give them all my money! Ha! Their milk tea is ono and well priced at about $4 (no $8 boba over here thank goodness)! Our personal favorites are the 1. Taro coconut milk tea 2. Fruity pebbles milk tea 3. Chocolate pudding milk tea. They have a good number of add-ins if that's your thing (custard, boba, lychee jelly, etc.). The sugar level is adjustable, and my family thinks the 25-50% sweetness is perfect. They use a non dairy creamer, and it is delicious. Only downside is that there is always a line nowadays. I guess we're not the only ones that love Taste Tea. The line does move quickly, and the staff are great at filling orders in no time at all (and we tend to order between 4-10 drinks at a time). For: WAIKELE LOCATION On 4/18/2020, went there around 5:30ish as I do everyday to order milk teas for my family. I always order 5-6 drinks so it's not easy on the wallet considering I'm laid off due to this crisis!! This is actually my favorite Taste Tea location even though it's not an actual storefront. It's closest to where I live out of the other locations, the parking is best, and the drinks are most consistent here. At other locations, I've gotten milk teas that are a bit more... viscous? than ones that I have received here. I really like Taste Tea because the price point is good (I think the cheapest out of all other boba places I frequent) and they've got a little bit of everything. Milk teas, iced teas, lemonades, etc. There's always something for everyone in the family. The tea flavor in milk teas isn't too prominent in my opinion, but when I'm feeling that, I'll just go to a different boba shop. This is my favorite BOBBA place on the island! I'm lactose intolerant and even though some places say their creamer is dairy free, my tummy still hurts after.
