This is one of my fav post-workout treats since it's so close to where I do hot yoga. I love that these açaí bowls / cups also include chia seed pudding. They even have a matcha chia seed pudding. You can pick from their classic combinations or build your own. I believe that they have an app which makes it really easy to customize, but I've never used it. Even though they are in cups, the large "oak" size is about the same as bowls other places. On top of build your own açaí bowls, they also have smoothies which you can customize. I only wish that they were open earlier, sometimes I take an early morning yoga class before work and wish I could start my day with an oakberry açaí. read more

When you first enter, you'll see a few chairs and tables where you can enjoy your food. I was disappointed to see that there weren't any smoothies that offered protein powder. You will have to request protein powder and pay extra on top of an already high price. I don't think their prices are reasonable at all. I ordered the Tiger in a medium cup. It was sooo delicious, but they skimp out on ingredients by putting it in a tall cup. Their acai bowls are not served in your average, compostable bowls. The staff was so welcoming when I entered the building. I have been here once before from a Yelp Elite event, and I loved the Dubai chocolate one. This time I tried a build your own açai bowl with unlimited toppings. I got the Goji berries, granola, mango, coconut shreds, honey, and bananas. The Goji berries give a really great crunch. I highly recommend it. I also just recently find out from the employees that any neighborhood employees that work around the area of Kapolei Commons received 10% off! Whenever I come across a good place I want to go to when Doc comes down I save it to a collection. Today after breakfast at Aulani we went there since Kapolei is in the same direction to go home. She and I went into the shop and ordered for 3 of us. Items come in 12,16 and 24 oz sizes. We chose 2 açaí bowls: one Original, one Matcha and one Zen Matcha drink that I had before. Friendly greeting as we entered. Items were prepared quickly and we got take out bags to keep them chilled til we got home. The first time I came my Zen matcha looked darker and tasted thicker. That's one of the beauty that I do love about Oakberry Acai and what a find to have it here in Kapolei Commons as this tiny shop offers it all...much more than any other places that offers it. My husband ordered the 24oz. Fruity for $19.45. It's one of their signature acai bowls. It contained acai, double granola, banana and strawberry. All of their acai bowls comes in a cup and the ingredients are layered. My husband said that it was ok. He wasn't used to the soft serve type of acai. He likes it frozen hard like sorbet. All of the ingredients are really fresh. Their acai base is organic, natural, full of antioxidants, vitamins and healthy fats. They have locations in Hawaii, California, Florida, New York, Massachusetts and Wisconsin. The guy working behind the counter said that they will be opening other locations on Oahu. Finally got to come here and try out this place and it didn't disappoint I had lots of different açaí bowels but there's is so delicious it's not even funny the flavor is so sweet and unmatched compared to other places. The service was fast and efficient the girls were super friendly and did a great job with orders. Feels nice walking in there and seeing a beautiful clean place and organized. I've been having major cravings for acai so this was a great treat! I was impressed to see unlimited toppings are free with your base. The acai itself was pretty smooth which I like. I think chia seeds complemented it too. I loved the fruit options and other topping choices. Acai isn't a cheap food, so I think it was fair for the price. I love that everything is layered in a cup, which is so much easier to eat than a traditional bowl. And since the granola is layered and not on top, it doesn't fall all over the place!You can also add on additional toppings for no extra charge, limited only to what will fit in the cup. Very easy place to find...and right next to target! Lots of parking close by too. I have never really been an açaí fan but here I am trying it out and loving it! Walked in and was greeted right away with such friendly staff! They asked if we've ever been here and because we haven't they explained to us how to order which made it easier to decide. We ended up getting one of the signature ones...tiger. Strawberries, whey protein, and granola. The great thing is you can look at the signature menu and ask them to take out or add any other toppings you'd like. Theres also an option to make it a smoothie which also had a tempting menu. I am so glad this location is in Kapolei. As we live in Waianae. We went first thing around 9am to avoid lines or any ingredients running low. Very clean and organized showroom. Service was quick and the 2 items we ordered were their recommended items, Original and Crunchy Açaí bowls. We did not make any modifications, so that we could try them as is. They both tasted good. My husband said next time, we should add MORE banana's to the Original. He feels the bananas pair very well with the peanut butter. He is a banana peanut butter fanatic. As for the Crunchy, the fruits (blueberries and strawberries) were tart, but it paired well with the açaí and cacao nibs. Next time, we will be adding honey to that. I never heard of oakberry until they opened in Hawaii, so I wanted to give it a try. They're located in Kapolei Commons near Target, so there's plenty of parking in the lot. I got the large sized build your own acai bowl. You can add as many toppings as you want for free, but there is an upcharge for certain items (mainly the protein powders). I added the chia seed and peanut butter. For my toppings, I got strawberries, bananas, mango, blueberries, cacao nibs, goji berries, and granola. It wasn't the best acai base that I've had, but I did like how you could add as many toppings as you'd like. This really elevated the bowl, and I loved how I could have both fresh fruits and crunchy toppings for my bowl. It was a refreshing treat for the hot day! read more

So my first time here I really didn't know anything about this place. When I went it was kind of busy it's a small place but they do have chairs and tables on the outside. But I got to say this was one of the best açaí cups I have had in a while. Oakberry just reopened! They were closed for a couple days due to selling out and so we had to come try it out when they restocked and opened back up. As we walked in, it was fairly busy but everything moved smoothly. It was my first time so the concept of oakberry was explained to me and I was shown their signature bowls and told you can fully customize them as well. With all the choices, it was pretty overwhelming but as he explained the different things and told me his favorites, it became easier to make a decision. Extra toppings for the most part were free except for a select few like the lilikoi, peanut butter crumbs, proteins, almond butter and collagen. Those were anywhere from $1.50-$3 extra. Customer service was amazing! I went with the original. I added the strawberries and blueberries and I was told the peanut butter crumbs tasted like the inside of a Reese's so I was definitely sold! I think they may have forgotten the bananas that comes with it but it still was delicious. The acai itself was a little sweeter than your normal acai but I enjoyed it. It was perfect to eat even on its own without any of the toppings. There were three seats inside and two tables outside to enjoy your acai. All in all, it was a great experience and we will be back! read more

There is a small counter space inside for you to enjoy your treat and some tables outside of the shop. We got served right away and she was so helpful by explaining the options and how it is served. The they have unlimited toppings, but there are some that you have to pay extra for. I ordered the Tiger with additional toppings of banana, blueberries, peanut butter crumbs and goji berries. It was really refreshing and the fruits were very fresh and sweet. The acai itself got muted with all the other flavors and the protein powder that comes in this mix. But still a nice treat. But the layers of granola and peanut butter make it spoonable and if you're just getting to it and not sitting around yapping at the outside tables, it's fine. We stopped by Aloha Salads and saw this place next door. The signature bowls in the window looked incredible so we decided to stop in and try it out. I'm so glad we did. Whoever was working the register this afternoon was incredibly nice to us and helped us choose the best options based on our tastes. We ended up creating our own bowls and loved that most of the toppings were included (there are a couple premium toppings if you'd like) but we didn't choose any. I'm always trying to find new things for my daughter to try that are also healthy and I was so happy that she loved the açaí bowl. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet (I'm assuming most of the sweetness is just the fruit) but we did add a little bit of honey drizzle on top. My daughter loved the granola and the chia seed pudding which was an added bonus. I never really heard of açaí or anything and when I looked up all the benefits it made me glad a place like this exists. The matcha chia pudding is sooo good too. I think next time I'll ask for extra because the açaí did take over the matcha taste once it started melting but what I could get was super yummy and has me wanting to go back tomorrow for more. I personally thought the prices were worth it. We got the smallest size (12oz) and were able to split it between 3 people.
