Baskin-Robbins - Looks can be deceiving - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Waipahu, Hawaii

The ice cream is good. 31 flavors as always. A good go-to if you don't want to buy a tub of ice cream. The service here was really good. The girl was really nice and patient with us considering we wanted our oldest two (6years old and 4 years old) to order on their own. The place could use a touch up. Kind of looks like it is breaking down in some areas. read more

Walked in with nine of us and nobody greeted us while there were two people working. The girl at the counter just stares at you to see if you were going to order and she doesn't do anything no smile no nothing! Took nine peoples order and she looked pissed off ! Upon ordering our ice cream, one of them was with whipped cream so we asked how much the whip cream was. She didn't say anything. She just wrote it down. Next thing we said that we wanted to substitute upon getting the receipt after paying it says it's $2.09 for Oreo and $2.09 for a dollop of whip cream. BLOWS MY MIND!!! Such a rip off for topping. It's nearly half the price of a single scoop of ice cream. read more

Had to get the Oreo cold brew before they ran out, was told it was a seasonal item! Called to make sure they had it in stock and was so happy they had a whole tub left. Long story short, ordered 3 quarts of the Oreo cold brew and was satisfied from the exceptional service over the phone and In person for pick up! The clerk who helped me over the phone was so kind and patient, she had a unique name but if you're reading this thank you so much for being so patient with me and for getting my order ready! Overall 10/10 recommend! read more

VERY Disappointed with the customer service at this location. There was a young girl and boy working no greeting, just a blunt "Do you know what you want?" I understand they may be short-staffed, but that's no excuse for poor treatment of customers. I also noticed the same dismissive and low-effort attitude toward other customers. We ordered two items but only received one, and had to wait nearly 10 minutes before getting up to ask for the second item ourselves they didn't even start to make our other item until we asked for it. I hope management will take this as an opportunity to retrain staff on basic customer service, because experiences like this give the brand a bad reputation. I'll gladly visit the Waikele baskin robins or another location instead. read more

This is our home Baskin Robbins, and it's gone downhill, especially recently. We stopped in tonight for ice cream after dinner. They ran out of sugar cones, so I got a cup instead. My husband got two scoops in a cake cone, and it was nearly falling over. He asked for a cup just in case and was told they charge for cups. My son got a keiki scoop of ice cream. They weigh the scoops now, and they are much much smaller than in the past. As we sat and enjoyed our ice cream with every single table taken with families, the worker came out and told our table we had to leave because their lobby closed at 9p. Wtf? They don't close until 10p I thought? She said the manager said the lobby closes at 9. I said, "Is this for everyone," gesturing to the full tables of families, and she said yes, but then turned around and went back to work. She didn't tell anyone else to leave. I am insulted and puzzled at the behavior here. A few weeks back, we visited during open hours, and there was a sign on the door that said be back in 5 minutes. Meanwhile, the workers were inside cleaning, stocking, etc, as a line of us stood outside. Finally, my husband knocked on the window, and the girl came over to unlock the door, apologizing and saying she forgot to take the sign down. They really need to shape up the customer experience here. Getting cheap and rude with customers WILL save you money because they won't come back and give you business! read more

The rating is for BR itself for the lack of clarity in their marketing emails and this location's customer service skills (no greetings, no smiles, no sense of urgency whatsoever considering they work with ice cream.) I went 2 times within the past week, unexpectedly. 1) July 31 & 2) Aug 03. 1) July 31: Went in to get the 31% Off All Scoops promo, ordered 6 double scoops (1 with sprinkles) 1 banana royale. The email didn't specify what method to use, whether it had to be done in person/mobile order. Its restriction was only specified delivery. Had to ask for them to adjust my purchase after I noticed the price wasn't discounted. Had to ask my sister (who was there too) to scan her rewards app. Got a whole lecture about how management doesn't like when customers purchase in store during the 31% Off All Scoops on the 31st of the month- but it's not specified in the BR Emails or the BR App (it only sends that "coupon" to the recently activated BR Rewards member nor is it clearly stated on the website either. And the ice cream cups were melting by the time she finished the interaction- I didn't notice til I got into the car. 2) Aug 3: went to make a purchase of the Ready Made Pints, bought 4. I was the 2nd customer in line, had to wait after a man & his family. He took his time & so did the cashier, all 3 employees had to help his order (4 servings of ice cream)-2 of them couldn't stop talking to each other so I stood waiting patiently with 4 nearly melting pints of ice cream. Couldn't get the one flavor I was looking for: Jamoca (Coffee) so ended up with 2 Jamoca Almond Fudge, 1 Chocolate & 1 Vanilla. The choices aren't very allergen friendly. I sat on this for days to reflect on the experiences so I called BR Customer Support which is combined with Dunkin Donuts. I could barely understand what the 1st lady was saying so she transferred me to a 2nd lady who didn't really resolve the issue but advised she would refer my issue to the store's owner, which apparently is the highest point of contact- although the store manager would've sufficed for it. She said it would be 2 business days, so here I am waiting over the 2 days. I'm gonna try call again tomorrow. read more

UPDATE!!! I had to bump this review from one star to five stars. I would like to commend Tiary for the beautiful job on my replacement cake. She went above and beyond on making things right. Her customer service is impeccable and I'm glad to be a customer at this store. ************************************************************************ I normally don't write negative reviews, but I feel like this needs to be addressed. If we could, we would rate this zero stars. We went to get an ice cream cake for my husband for his birthday. They didn't have the cake that I wanted, which was the smaller size that feeds 4-6 servings. We opted for the one that had 6-8 servings. When I asked the girl to write Happy Birthday, she said, "Can I just put HBD since Happy Birthday is too long." Then she had the other worker write it for her. This was the result of what we got. I've ordered cakes this size before and they had no problem with writing out Happy Birthday fully and being satisfied with the results. When I was given this cake, I was extremely disappointed. Someone needs to give that employee proper training on how to write on cakes. read more

Usually the service is great but I guess bad apples do appear every now and then. Finally had a bad experience, the employee Wai, did not do great job handling our order. She got my order wrong and I told I didn't order and still said that's what I said when I know I never eat the chocolate covered cone but yeah. After that she refunded me and gave me the right cone but then the cone she gave me a cone with paper in it. I was disappointed cause just the demeanor on how she handled the situation was just poor and just made experience not so good. Thanks ahh read more

Hubby and I came here wanting dessert. I ended up getting one scoop of the ube coconut swirl in a cup. This was actually enough for me since I was getting full from dinner prior. They close at 10 pm which was nice cause most places close early. It was a nice treat after dinner. Not too crowded here if you come later and before they close. Plenty of parking up front at night. Not sure about in the afternoon which is probably the most busiest time of day to get ice cream. They seem to have new flavors all the time. Definitely worth it. read more

Tonight after having a family dinner. Went to baskin robbins to take home for the rest of the family. Ordered 2 kid creations 1 unicorn, 1 dinosaur. Lady asked rudely "what flavor" (with an attitude). Then ordered 1 single scoop mint chocochunk. Lady responded "WHO?!" Then ordered a cappuccino blast. With her again asking rudely "did you want whip cream". Asked to lids, and the kid creation hats that comes with it but I get more of an attitude. It was not busy with my family of 3 was the only customers in the store. Never where I had such horrible customer service like this. Kunia Baskin Robins is our favorite to go to. Plus it's on the way home so even more perfect. It seems like no one goes to this location, not to sure why. Every-time we are there, the store is empty (perfect for us). They always have a lot of flavors there for their ice creams as well as their cakes in the freezer. My girls favorite is the cotton candy ice cream; however every time we come here they always ask for a ton of samples. Not to sure why but they always end up choosing cotton candy ice cream. The girls in there are always so friendly and will allow my children to sample their flavors. Thank you baskin robins for always putting a smile on my Children's faces. read more

My wife and I stopped by this afternoon. We ordered 2 quarts of ice cream. When we got home I opened mine and it was only 70-75% full. I have found the baskin Robbins with the best service. From the time we walked until we walked out we were treated like valued customers. The girl working looked happy to serve us and even offered a cherry on my daughters ice cream cone. Some BR charge for whip cream and others as this location doesn't. It's those little things that will bring me back as a customer! The ice cream selections we chose this evening were chocolate and cotton candy. Both consistencies were on point. I like my ice cream firm, not soft or mushy and tonight's was exactly how I like it. When in the area this will be our snack stop! read more

I've been here multiple times and I understand that at 940pm you are ready to leave for the night. Tonight, as I was going to pay the girl that rang me up had said "sorry we are not accepting cash at the moment" I also realized the lady that was ahead of me was going to pay in cash but she put her money away, i didn't think anything of it but now I realized that they told her the same thing. I understand when the internet is down or something that card payments are not able to be taken, but the reason to not be taking cash payments?! The reason being was and I'm sure of it the cash register was counted and they didn't want to recount it. I've been there register counted but at the end of the night your last few customers pay in cash. It's a form of payment, you take it. No stars if I could for just this night. read more
