Ono Kettle Pop was discovered by me at the Diamond Head Market. I found out you can order for a party ahead of time so I went online and it was super easy to do. Brandon will contact you, asking to fill out the form with additional information and Venmo the total cost to him. After you tell him the date you want to pick up popcorn and he receives the paid amount, Brandon will let you know where and what time to meet him. On date of pick up, Brandon texted me to say he'd be there at the exact time, which was really considerate so we didn't have to wonder or worry. Sure enough he pulled up in the vehicle he described and quickly distributed his orders with a smile and mahalo! He had each order bagged separately with our names. You watched us from the time we walked up until we left. If our kids EVER do anything inappropriate, we check them on site immediately. The popcorn was NEVER tossed and the popcorn in question was one that we were buying for him until you snatched it, so that kid did not get the popcorn they chose because you snatched it. I was looking for some party favor gifts for my daughter's birthday and I thought ooh popcorn would be a good idea. So of course I did a yelp search for popcorn. Ono Kettle Pop had a lot of great reviews. I saw that Ono Kettle Pop has a booth at the KCC Market on Saturday. I thought I would check it out and see how it is. I haven't been to the KCC open market in years. We finally found Ono Kettle Pop. We made it just in time. They close earlier than I thought and he was starting to clean up. He had a good deal where you buy three or four and get one free. I ended up buying maybe ten bags. My husband wanted the jalapeño one also. They don't make those in the small bag so it was a different price from the other ones. I asked how long would it stay fresh and he said the shelf life is like three weeks. The party was the following week so I just decided to pick up all of them right then and there. I was gonna order it and come back the following week but since it would've been still good, I just saved me the double trip. I ended up buying to colorful rainbow popcorn for the kids, some original kettle popcorn, and the jalapeño bag. We ate the popcorn the week after and it was great. It want stale at all. Still very crunchy and crisp. My husband ate the jalapeño back before the week was over and my daughter enjoyed the leftover rainbow and original. This was at the Honolulu Farmers Market at the Blaisdell every Wednesday night from 4pm-7pm on of my favorite market by Hi Farm Bureau Farmers Markets as the vibe here is just so chill and relaxing. Walking by you can smell the fresh popcorns being made right before you eyes from the "Plain Jane" which has no sugar to the "Rainbow" which is filled with five different flavors the choices here are just vibrant as their flavors, though I have passed them on several occasions because of the price of $9 or 3 for $25 is a bit much to be honest though they do have a senior (55+) discount of a $1 off each bag and Yelp check-in will also give you that dollar off deal as well which I did and give a dollar back in for tip as the lady was a delight describing various items but was still a bit taken back when she saw it and never thank me for it. I did get the Jalapeño Kick where it's infused with jalapeño butter and garlic as it did indeed have all the flavors but the size of the bag was a bit much and had no desire to finish that single flavor in that huge amount and literally was done just a quarter way...wished they did smaller bags in all the flavors. I've bought Ono kettle popcorn at various farmers markets - downtown, Kailua. Service is always great and I've always been informed of their specials to save me money. (Or to spend more? I stayed to talk story with him for a while, learning more about his childhood in Chicago, how he started the business, and his military background. I found this place while going to school in KCC, on Saturday at the farmers market. Brandon the owner has the most popcorn flavors I have ever seen over 10. The thing that caught my attention was how all the popcorn was done at the market, so you know his popcorn is fresh. I also like that the bags he uses keeps your popcorn fresh for weeks. Go to farmers market every week, every merchant begins sales at 3:30-3:45, even if they aren't fully open, polite and great customer service. DON'T go to ono popcorn cause they're very rude, barricade their entrance and when I asked if I can purchase, one guy standing doing nothing said "NO". I asked why and he rudely said "open at 4", OMG it was 3:56!! Well, saved me over $20 and now I will not honor this business when I have my parties and cravings!!! I asked for a fresh bag at the farmers market and the guy sarcastically told me he could get a microwave and heat one of the earlier made bags up for me and wouldn't give me some of the hot popcorn.
