Ono Kettle Pop was discovered by me at the Diamond Head Market. I found out you can order for a party ahead of time so I went online and it was super easy to do. Brandon will contact you, asking to fill out the form with additional information and Venmo the total cost to him. After you tell him the date you want to pick up popcorn and he receives the paid amount, Brandon will let you know where and what time to meet him. On date of pick up, Brandon texted me to say he'd be there at the exact time, which was really considerate so we didn't have to wonder or worry. Sure enough he pulled up in the vehicle he described and quickly distributed his orders with a smile and mahalo! He had each order bagged separately with our names. This popcorn is delicious with a salty sweet flavor and comes in all sizes with other flavors. Check out their website! We bought the large one to give out as favors (one per ohana) at my granddaughter's birthday party and everyone was stoked because they could enjoy while watching UH football that evening. Mahalo Brandon for being so easy to work with and we look forward to doing business with you again soon. read more

Updated Review in Response to Ono Kettle Pop: There was no situation until you made it one. The lady never went to you to intervene in anything. She was answering questions we had. You watched us from the time we walked up until we left. If our kids EVER do anything inappropriate, we check them on site immediately. The popcorn was NEVER tossed and the popcorn in question was one that we were buying for him until you snatched it, so that kid did not get the popcorn they chose because you snatched it. You made a false assumption and stereotyped us, it was very obvious. You even asked me if I was ready to check out with the two bags I had becuase it was clear we were not welcomed there. The kids were excited to get popcorn and were picking the bags they wanted. We stood there after and watched someone else purchase the bag you claimed was damage and then you told your new nice worker not to make anymore large bags. The real deal is you are and were mean. You didn't want us there in your glass popcorn house and it was felt and noticed. Our kids have shared what you did to everyone who has asked about the fair. Own your wrong, don't sugar coat, and do better as a human. Original Post We were so excited to find a popcorn stand at the annual farm fair @ono_kettle_pop with vegan options called BUT our excitement was quickly ruined by thr man making the popcorn. He watched us like a hawk and rushed us to make a purchase, and finay.said watch the kids ans be carefull because he didn't want them to crush the popcorn. What he didn't know is that I told them each to get a bag and they were handing me what they wanted and what I told them to grab for the adults. We were at about six bags and they were not rough at all just getting what they wanted. We put all but 3 back after his rude and nasty attitude ruined the excitement. And the only.reason we got.them is for the kids. We were even talking about using them for an upcoming birthdays party, but of course will not. The checkout lady was super nice. But the man making the popcorn was super rude and lacked Aloha. He also didn't say a word.to the other kids. So beware and don't spend your.vegan dollars here. I was looking for some party favor gifts for my daughter's birthday and I thought ooh popcorn would be a good idea. So of course I did a yelp search for popcorn. Ono Kettle Pop had a lot of great reviews. I saw that Ono Kettle Pop has a booth at the KCC Market on Saturday. I thought I would check it out and see how it is. I haven't been to the KCC open market in years. We finally found Ono Kettle Pop. We made it just in time. They close earlier than I thought and he was starting to clean up. He had a good deal where you buy three or four and get one free. I ended up buying maybe ten bags. My husband wanted the jalapeño one also. They don't make those in the small bag so it was a different price from the other ones. I asked how long would it stay fresh and he said the shelf life is like three weeks. The party was the following week so I just decided to pick up all of them right then and there. I was gonna order it and come back the following week but since it would've been still good, I just saved me the double trip. I ended up buying to colorful rainbow popcorn for the kids, some original kettle popcorn, and the jalapeño bag. We ate the popcorn the week after and it was great. It want stale at all. Still very crunchy and crisp. My husband ate the jalapeño back before the week was over and my daughter enjoyed the leftover rainbow and original. We will be sure to stop by again when we go to KCC market again. read more

The POPular treat we all love! This was at the Honolulu Farmers Market at the Blaisdell every Wednesday night from 4pm-7pm on of my favorite market by Hi Farm Bureau Farmers Markets as the vibe here is just so chill and relaxing. Walking by you can smell the fresh popcorns being made right before you eyes from the "Plain Jane" which has no sugar to the "Rainbow" which is filled with five different flavors the choices here are just vibrant as their flavors, though I have passed them on several occasions because of the price of $9 or 3 for $25 is a bit much to be honest though they do have a senior (55+) discount of a $1 off each bag and Yelp check-in will also give you that dollar off deal as well which I did and give a dollar back in for tip as the lady was a delight describing various items but was still a bit taken back when she saw it and never thank me for it. I did get the Jalapeño Kick where it's infused with jalapeño butter and garlic as it did indeed have all the flavors but the size of the bag was a bit much and had no desire to finish that single flavor in that huge amount and literally was done just a quarter way...wished they did smaller bags in all the flavors. Thank you! read more

One of the best popcorn on the island!!! Love all the flavors !! My favorite is the kettle corn!! Brandon has great customer service!!

Owner is NOT NICE and YELLED at me with my mom in a wheelchair. I would never support this business again and suggest you not as well. He is very picky and only wants you to move extra fast through his store and if you are handicapped he has ZERO PATIENCE. If you read his other reviews you can see how nasty his personality can be. read more

Ordered some Mother's Day treats from Ono for delivery to SoCal, and they were a huge hit. Large, attractively packaged bags of diversly flavored popcorn goodness arrived perfectly fresh and oh so tasty. There is an impressively wide variety of flavors available on their website order section. The ability to choose celebration stickers to adorn the bags was a nice bonus! I was stoked to be able to select custom colors (pink and purple magic!) for one of the bags, and got to add Macadamia nuts to one of the Caramel corn bags as well The kernels are huge mushroom shaped nuggets that have such a great chew and stay crisp for weeks when vacuum sealed. They have savory flavors too with hurricane ingredients like small bits of seaweed and rice crackers that jazz up this already crisp delight. Outstanding company, delectable product and excellent online ordering process. read more

Located at various farmer's market around Oahu, I went to the one on Saturday's at KCC. Good kettle corn made with Hawaiian sea salt. They have lots of flavors available. Though on the pricey end for 3 bags. I liked the Sweet and Salty, good balance overall! Would be great for a movie night or gift to someone who loves popcorn. They do get stale fast when you open so make sure to eat them sooner! read more

The selections were good and the samples were tasty. It was good to have a selection of sizes for just snacking.

I visited them at KCC and I'm so happy I tried them out. They have a lot of Hawaiian flavors like li hing, POG, and more. I had the regular size of Ono Hurricane which has garlic, furikake and mochi bits in it. It was good and I would have loved to try out other flavors, but there was no way I was packing a bulking item with me. read more

I've bought Ono kettle popcorn at various farmers markets - downtown, Kailua. Service is always great and I've always been informed of their specials to save me money. (Or to spend more? I always end up with lots to share! Lol) I once special ordered some favors for a small first birthday party, just about 20 pieces. Brandon was very responsive and made great suggestions. He even made a special label and ran it by me, no charge. That's what I call service! He even delivered to my house. Love this company. Brandon is so nice and accommodating. Will definitely hit him up in the future for more favors or even just snacks!! read more

Normally when you think of Chicago, you might imagine Navy Pier, deep dish pizza, or the Sears Tower*, but I can assure you that Chicagoans know a thing or two about making some delicious popcorn. When I saw Ono Kettle Pop in the Fort Street Mall's farmer's market, I was excited to see that it wasn't just kettle corn, but delicious caramel and cheese flavors, just like I remember eating with my dad when I was a little girl. Brandon offered me a sample. It had the perfect crunch and sweetness of a good kettle corn. I stayed to talk story with him for a while, learning more about his childhood in Chicago, how he started the business, and his military background. (I love being able to support our current and former military members!) He told me more about how he makes his batches and sells them at the local farmer's markets or through social media. He has quite the operation! Since I happened to visit his booth right before Easter, he had some adorable Easter popcorn baskets on display. I bought one for my roommates to enjoy (they were stoked!) and made sure to take a business card. I can't wait to visit again for more kettle corn or the Chicago-style flavors I remember from my youth. *the building will always be the Sears Tower. I don't care what silly thing they try to rename it. read more

Bought the sweet & salty popcorn @ Mililani open market on Sunday. Only brought 1 shopping bag with me. Bought 10 bags & asked if they had a bag as I used the one I brought with me. The lady in front of me bought a couple bags & was given 2 plastic bags & the guy didn't say anything. However when I asked for a bag the guy told me "next time bring your own bag". I should have at that time asked for my $50 back & taken my business elsewhere. Never supporting this business again. read more

Went to KCC market to get my popcorn fix and Brandon's popcorn is honestly the best! I get popcorn here pretty often and each time I go, I try to get a new flavor cause there's so many to choose from (: it's cute cause they have Halloween themed popcorn now and it's a great treat for my family/friends! Definitely going again before the end of the month. The owner is a pretty chill/funny guy to talk to and he's very accommodating each time I go. I love the smell of freshly popped popcorn, esp. when it's kettle corn. If you're at a farmers market, craft fair, or Eat the Street, keep your eyes out for Ono Kettle Pop and pick up a few bags of their delicious kettle corn. They have a lot of different flavors (classic, chicago, rainbow, caramel), but my favorite is the good old Classic kettlecorn - sweet n salty. Don't forget to ask for a punch card. Buy 9 bags and your 10th bag is free - any size and flavor! read more

I found this place while going to school in KCC, on Saturday at the farmers market. Brandon the owner has the most popcorn flavors I have ever seen over 10. The thing that caught my attention was how all the popcorn was done at the market, so you know his popcorn is fresh. I also like that the bags he uses keeps your popcorn fresh for weeks. Perfect if you are shipping it to friends or family. The people working there are very nice, they gave me a free small sample since I had never had their popcorn before. The caramel was definitely my favorite, I'd recommend anyone if they are at the farmers market and see ONO kettle pop to give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I definitely LOVE this popcorn. There are so many flavors to choose from, I highly recommend the Ono hurricane and Jalapeño flavors. The staff is always so kind and willing to answer any questions. Go to farmers market every week, every merchant begins sales at 3:30-3:45, even if they aren't fully open, polite and great customer service. DON'T go to ono popcorn cause they're very rude, barricade their entrance and when I asked if I can purchase, one guy standing doing nothing said "NO". I asked why and he rudely said "open at 4", OMG it was 3:56!! Well, saved me over $20 and now I will not honor this business when I have my parties and cravings!!! Don't even deserve one star Mr, I really wouldn't have mind waiting but maybe if your employee was a little personable or smiled it would've been worth the wait. Also I'm sure as much as I could wait 4 min, he could have easily opened 4 min early. Btw he was not doing anything. But it's ok, we work hard for our money and customer service goes a long way. Aloha and wish you well read more

Horrible customer service. Very surprising the owner just can't apologize when he was rude and then wouldn't make everyone upset. Not sure I can support a company that doesn't value their customers and can be so rude read more

NOT recommend because of BAD service! Owner was extremely RUDE. Purchased three extra large bags and spent close to $35. I needed to wait because they needed to prepare more popcorn to fulfill my order. After waiting more than 15 minutes, the owner refused to give me all fresh bags of the newly popped corn. read more

I asked for a fresh bag at the farmers market and the guy sarcastically told me he could get a microwave and heat one of the earlier made bags up for me and wouldn't give me some of the hot popcorn. I didn't even know what to say back I was so shocked bc it was completely unnecessary. Maybe it was supposed to be a funny joke but it felt super uncalled for and rude and idk why it's so difficult to just give me the warmer popcorn they were making at the moment. That being said the girl was nice and the popcorn is good but I would be careful with attitude with risk of pissing paying customers off read more

My son was craving kettle popcorn since he wasn't able to get some on Saturday. By the time I remembered on Sunday, it was already late and all the places I searched around my area for kettle popcorn were already closed. And just as I was about to give up, I stumbled into Ono Kettle Pop on Yelp. I looked through their website and saw the very convenient options they offer to sell their many, many variations and flavors of popcorn. Since I had a question, I texted the number available, not more than 5-10 min later, Brandon the owner called me back. Although it was late, he took the time to explain their ordering process and shared how he tries to go that extra mile to accommodate the customers request. Fun fact, I had no idea he was the same vendor from which my son got the kettle popcorn craving on Saturday but was unable to get it. I placed my order for three different flavors, the next morning it was delivered my Brandon. We loved all three flavors, salted caramel & honey roasted macadamia, caramel hurricane, and rainbow. Can't wait to try some of the other flavors. Thank you Brandon! read more

5+ stars. Not only is this a local business, the popcorn is delicious and fresh! The owner, Brandon, is often popping at the markets, so you know you're getting it right out of the barrel (errr...oven? Popcorn maker?)
