Stopped by this new location at AMC near the center stage. Close to ABC store. Yummy Huff 'n Puff rice treats aka Okoshi or Toong Mai. Special buy 3 bags for $24! One bag is $8.50. Samples available right now on 10/3/2024. See Destiny. She is adorable and full of Aloha! Service is informative and courteous here. Ambiance is a bit noisy due to location. See photos for menu and kiosk display.

Snacks 'n stuff... I'm positive that you all basically know this brand but did you know that they now have a kiosk in Ala Moana Center..!? Yeah and thanks to Nadine C I now know as well! These puffy yumminess can be found right beside the Centerstage on the Street Level right in front of the ABC Store and if for some reason you're not familiar with them "shame on you!" Thankfully you won't be missing out on them and yes they do have samples for you to try to make the decision easy to get em' all lol! With a couple different sizes including their newer packaging is so beautiful and is perfect for gift giving which is exactly what I'm doing. It's credit card only understandably, the staff is wonderful and now having them here makes it easy to grab and go with their yummy snacks that brings me so much nostalgia. Thank you!

The other day I posted on my story The Macadamia Nut Delights, to which I smashed that bag that day bc it's so damn addictingly good, and @huffnpuff reached out to me if I've tried any of their other varieties... low and behold a box appeared today with 5 different varieties to which I've never tried! I've only ever had it in Hawai'i TBH, we used to trek to Chinatown to get these okoshi treats available in a bucket. If you're unfamiliar with Okoshi, it's Japanese puffed rice snacks. I hadn't bought okoshi in years, but this summer I spied the teal bag in Long's and knew I had to buy it and bring it back (omiyage/ pasalubong) to the mainland. Well I ended up not sharing it with anyone . How to describe it? It's like rice Krispy treats on another level. You can taste the buttery- ness, and the sweetness, and I love the crunch of the macadamia nuts!!! I immediately opened this box and sampled one from each bag . Almond delights is probably my favorite from this batch. It reminds me of the Chinese Almond cookies. 2nd would be the Cinnamon Macadamia Nut Delights, it reminds me of an elevated snickerdoodle cookie. Next would be the arare ones, both equally good furikake or not. Reminds me a bit of the local way of eating popcorn with the mochi crunch (arare). And last is the Kona Coffee Macadamia Nut Delights, good but not my cup of tea, er should I say coffee. Hands down my favorite is the original. Thanks again @huffnpuffhawaii for letting me try your other flavors. I will definitely be ordering some when I run out. If you're in Hawaii pick up a bag- can be found at Long's, @foodlandhi, @walmart Hawaii, @donquijotehi, @wholesaleunlimitedhi, and @timessupermarkets and of course online!

Yummy rice puffs. One of my favorites is the mac nuts.

I wasn't pleasantly surprised to see the Huff 'n Puff kiosk at Ala Moana. Super friendly and helpful employee there! I'm so glad to see how this business has grown and wish him well for even more success!

ADDITCTING!!!! So ONO I want more and I want try more new flavors! Definitely great for small get together, gifting, & favors. Can't wait to see what else is in store!

All gone. :-( Time to buy more! :-)

Recently gifted a bag of these delectable treats. Had forgotten just how really memorably delicious these were. I finished up the bag by myself without sharing. Perfect timing. Was trying to decide what to buy for omiyage on upcoming trip. Quickly googled them and bought a bunch in the memorably delicious "Macadamia nut delight" flavor. Was sure to call ahead to make sure they were in stock. And am sure business owner Branen must have been relieved that I didn't call him direct like I did a number of years ago, before distribution sites had started selling these treats. Branen was so gracious, not only to deliver to me a fresh batch at the street outside my worksite. He mentioned "call anytime". Whichever, wherever you get these treats, do yourself a favor and get them! Try all five flavors and find your favorite. Available at many locations around town AND trade shows. Check on their website for a current listing of stores selling this delectable treat! Much better to buy in the store instead of hanging out on the street corner looking like to make a drug deal!

    Delightful indeed

My sister purchased from the 808 craft and gift fairs event this past Saturday at windward mall. If you love okoshi type snacks, this is for you. I tried their kona coffee mac nut puff, and all I can say is it is delectable and delightful! Has a nice crunch (there's some pretty nice size mac nuts), and with coffee and mac nut you cannot go wrong. If you ever come across them at events, stop by and grab yourself a bag or few.

    Sorry not full bag.

Why did the Big Bad Wolf tell the three Little Pigs that he is going to "Huff 'n Puff" and blow their house down? Well it was to get his grubby paw on these amazing puff rice treats. When one of my Yelp buddies Rachel said to check out this puff rice thing as they were going to be at a trade show, I really didn't know what to expect. My better half and her sister was going to go to the show so I asked my wife to stop by their booth and check it out. Long story short, she finds Huff 'n Puff and she ends up buying some. She comes home with a bagful of these square rice things. She opens it up and tells me to try it. I cannot believe how good they taste. It's like I cannot describe it but to sum it up in a word, YUMMY would be it. I inhaled three squares like it was going out of style. It's more of a sweet savory so people like Debbie R, Sheryl M as well as my better half who don't like too sweet, sweets would probably love it. It's so good that I am going to have to buy some for my family and friends as omiyage. They are available at a select handful of stores and you can find them at trade shows. (see my picture for times, dates and location). You can also check them on their website https://hnphawaii.com/ to see the latest retail places, as well as up to date events and special orders.

I grew up eating puffed rice from those white plastic tubs. It was a childhood treat, but I haven't had any in years. Then here comes Huff 'n Puff with five fun flavors including mac nut, coffee, furikake arare, and honey ginger to make me wonder why it's been so long. Their puffed rice is fresh and crunchy and their flavors are craveable. The saying is true, you can't eat just one. Perfect for sending to loved ones on the mainland, these treats took me back to the hanabata days, and the bag was gone too soon.

I see them in like temporary markets and popups. Like last time, I saw them at Pearlridge. There's always this nice lady who offers a free taste. They have a lot of different flavors. If i remember correctly, there's coffee, honey ginger, furikake, and macadamia. They all taste good to me! I love rice puffs! They come in different sizes too. What I'm trying to remember if they offered different flavors in one bag cause that would be awesome. A small bag is $8 a piece. Kinda pricey but it's good to snack on, it'll be on the healthier side. I always try to find them when I know there's going to be a popup shop at the malls. I'm also thinking of buying these as gifts for my friends from the mainland. I want to buy all flavors and give them as gifts. I'm sure they'll like it. Especially the macadamia ones, they are sweet, but not overly sweet. Just right. 5/20/2018 These guys are the sweetest and nicest people on earth. I saw them at Pearlridge last weekend and stocked up because they said it'll be their last one for the month. And i wanted to bring some back to seattle for my friends to try. I didn't want to give them macadamia chocolates or nuts, I wanted to give them something unique! And this is perfect. My kids are hooked on their rice puffs too! Their favorites are furikake and chocolate. Follow them on instagram and check them out!

Kona coffee is my favorite, but Li Hing and ginger are classic!

John is so sweet, he even offered me the hot dog on the house... completely unexpected, but a true reflection of John's demeanor. I went with the chicken hot dog "John style" (well that is everything but the sauerkraut). I wasn't hesitate about the mustard because I'm usually not a fan but the staff insisted it was more like Dijon mustard anyways. The hotdog was loaded, flavorful, and way better than I expected for someone who usually keeps it simple with the toppings. The bun broke down a bit from all the toppings, but that was to be expected with all the toppings loaded on there. You can't beat the location, it's right outside the Ilikai by the lagoon though the service alone makes this an easy five stars.
