Wooo!
Leland S.

I was looking for some local goods, told this place had it. Seeing their website and IG, it seemed like they would, here was my experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking, I really didn't have any issues finding a spot. Seating: Not really, just a grab and go type of spot. Vibes: Welcome to Waipahu, not the most flashy area but there's some good local spots and flavors here. The spot itself is pretty simple. Decorated with lots of local flavors and snacks from drinks, desserts, and food! If you're ordering popcorn and food, they have a tv usually on the sports channel if you want to kill time. FOOD: Hurricane Popcorn (Recommend) Delicious! I was lucky the popcorn was made fresh. Good portions, well buttered, and a nice savory mix of furikake and mochi crackers. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! Auntie was friendly and quick with the order. I was a bit indecisive and she let me sample a few flavors. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Awesome. Great selections and reasonable prices. If you're looking for local snacks to pack or travel around the island, this is your spot. What I like is that they support local vendors. When in the 808, be sure to check this spot out. TIPS: * Check their website for updated snacks and flavors.

Dessert in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... After lunch, my friends asked that same question: "Where's Dessert?" We looked on our Yelp apps and found Rajah Dat. It was a few doors down from where we were! Located at the Shops at West Loch Station, the only downside was that no restroom was available. I had to walk down the stairs and across the street to McDonald's... LOL! The upside was nice air conditioning, friendly service, and some barstool seats inside. Outside, there's a bench for those who are vertically challenged... sorry! I got a Rainbow shave ice with three flavors: grape, Tiger's blood, and pineapple. It turned out larger than expected. I had brain freeze! I couldn't finish! Haha! Thank you, Gabriel, for a refreshing summer treat!

After having lunch at 808 Hawaiian BBQ with friends on a state holiday, it was too early to part ways so we decided to get some dessert. We were at West Loch Station and as we looked up, we noticed Rajah Dat Snack Shop (RDSS) that also cold sweet treats. We were already parked so all we had to do was walk over. RDSS is a chain of snack shops that is located on West Oahu with this original location opening in late 2021 and have expanded to stores in Kapolei and Wahiawa. You can get your local snack fix, as well as poke bowls and cold treats and drinks here. They have shave ice, samurai soft serve but my eyes landed on Dippin' Dots, something I haven't had in YEARS. 3 of my friends got the soft serve, 1 got the shave ice and I ordered dots. We enjoyed our cool treats. I just loved my Dippin' Dots. So much fun to eat and so delicious. I got mint chocolate and cookies and cream. As it was a warm day, majority of us sat on their stools and ate away. However, one of our friends found the stool too tall so she went outside and ate her soft serve on the bench. Service was above average as the 2 male staff were courteous and patient as some of our friends had a difficult time deciding what to get. While checking out their snacks, one member of our group noticed a rice snack with an expiration date 1 day away. This was alarming because you question their inventory monitoring. Overall, a great first experience at RDSS where I'd be game to patronize them again. However, all 3 locations are in West Oahu. I won't be making a special trip from town to go to RDSS but would be game to go if I'm already in that area. 2024 #75

After lunch we decided to try Raja Dat Snack Shop. It's in the same strip mall which 808 Hawaii BBQ is at. They had Dippin Dots Ice cream as one of their selections. Didn't know that that brand still existed. Paul C had that. Nadine for the shaved ice with three toppings. My wife, and I had the soft serve. Friendly service , but limited seating. We all enjoyed ourselves. Chec them out if you're in the area. Enjoy

Located in the same shopping complex as Hou Fish Market and decided to get the Birthday girl her ice cream and notice this place. The owner is a local guy running a family business and he carries a lot of great local favorites made by local vendors that he let them place their products in his store on consignment bases. He has a large variety of local pupus and snacks and healthy drinks and other items a plus to check out. Friendly and helpful you should stop by!

A fun local snack shop in Waipahu! Came here because they serve samurai-style sherbet, but unfortunately they didn't have it up and running when we visited. We got the pre-packaged one instead. We used a coupon for shave ice we saw in the Midweek. The keiki sized one is pretty generous! The syrups used are quite fair and not as tasty as Waiola or Ululani's. Great selection of local snacks and desserts. However, many items are not sticker priced or had prices displayed. It deterred me from buying anything since I didn't want to ask how much everything was. Ambiance though was great with fun, upbeat local music and a small area to sit and eat. We will come back probably only for the sherbert.

Never knew this place was located by Pizza hut and Mannys bakeshop in waipahu. Lots of eateries here. After we all had lunch we were looking for a place to have dessert. Came across this place. They sell snacks, shave ice, soft serve, and some refrigerated desserts. Paul C had a cup of dipping dots ice cream, I had soft serve as well as Peter Y, and Gabe. Auntie Nadine had shave ice. Thank you Gabe for the treat. Was very refreshing and alot they gave on the soft serve, shave ice was plentiful as well as the Dippin dots Paul C ordered. All ordered small size and boy it was plentiful. If you in the waipahu area and close to Don Quiote, Mcdonalds they're in that small strip mall.

I think I just found my favorite snack store! Close to our home and the customer service here is great. They are so nice and very patient. My kids do take a long time to order and to decide so I appreciate when people are patient with us lol. Super clean inside. Great atmosphere very welcoming. I can't wait to try things like the Poké bowls and more of their other snacks!

We came for da snacks. It was our first time here so we had no idea what we were in store for when we decided to order a large shave ice when they say larger, they really mean extra large lol. It was bigger than my head we loved that it didn't melt right away, other shave ice places we've tried tend to liquify as soon as it gets into our hands. We also ordered the premium popcorn. Freshly popped, the best! The only thing that was a bit confusing that snacks out on the floor didn't have prices.

This place got everything!

Was walking by after lunch. Saw this snack shop along with a few other other dessert places nearby. This place stands out because it has everything! Every kind snack you can think of from candy, boiled peanuts, smoked ika, assorted popcorn, Hawaiian Frost soft serve, Dippin Dots ice cream, shave ice, assorted tea drinks to food items like poke bowls and plate lunches! I got the candy popcorn that was stacked on the counter. Tasted ok but I should have ordered the customized popcorn options. The guy working there (manager or owner) was friendly and told me about the pop up Makeke event tomorrow in the parking lot with several vendors (see poster). Place looks new and clean. Definitely got to come back to try other things.

Bright and welcoming snack shop located in Waipahu! The lady that helped me was amiable. She was funny! I absolutely loved her energy. They have a LOT in this little shop. There's a bunch of snacks, both sweet and savory. They got Samurai soft serve, Dip n Dots, and Shave ice. They also have drinks and food. I got to try 2 out of the 3 types of poke they have. All of their poke is made to order. The ahi was fresh, and in big pieces. The sauces were perfect, and they don't play with the serving size. I did not expect much from a small shop. I was genuinely surprised. Definitely will go back to try some drinks and snacks. (Most likely get more poke too...)

You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. We're lucky to have a great shop like this in central Oahu so you don't have to drive all the way to town for a great ice cream fix.

I have been coming here since they were first open but I have not gotten around to reviewing them…read moreuntil now. I was craving ice cream. Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.

I paced back and forth looking at the many variety of flavors many popular ones was empty making it even tougher to decide with what they had left and waited and waited for a staff which a lady finally came out and I asked about their "Cappy" item they have displayed on the counter and if it was a shake or smoothie but says it's like a Frappuccino dessert made with a coffee base was interesting and decided on one to which she asked what size and got a small.
