The major problem was that there was barely any pistachio spread. It was so DRY. Very stingy with the filling and spread. Not worth your time or money. I see that a lot of vendors were capitalizing off this viral food trend but don't do it if you can't do it right.

After satisfying my smoothing cravings at Hang's French Cafe & Smoothies which is right next door you know I had to give them a visit and as I walked in I just didn't expect to see so many options to neatly displayed at this cool shop. One wall is filled the snacks the local love and the easy grab and go does take care of cravings instantly along with some Pop Mart items though isn't quite the snack we sure have been eathing up the rave that's been keeping us guessing ourselves. Many of their items are crafted like specialty popcorn, Hawaiian Frost Soft Serve, Shaved Ice, and even açaí bowls. Keeping the coolness after my smoothie I decided on some dipping' dots as I stared into the display case with the various flavor offerings it was the "Cool Mint Crunch" oh yeah the minty coolness really hit the spot and bits of Oreo was so yummy as it kept me still for a moment as I enjoyed my treat before I continued on my errands taking this me time was just right. You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. We're lucky to have a great shop like this in central Oahu so you don't have to drive all the way to town for a great ice cream fix.

The display cases and shelves are loaded with Filipino-style pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts, all looking fresh and tempting. I'm not Filipino, so I can't confidently name everything in the shop, but the variety alone is impressive. From soft breads to sweet treats, there's clearly something for every kind of carb lover. What really stands out is how affordable everything is. You can grab multiple items without feeling guilty about the price, which makes it easy to sample different things. You can see Laverne's, the malasasamobile, Mountain Shave Ice, Thong's Thai, Taste Tea, Dick's Lechon, and ... the blood bank mobile. The truck ladies had to be sweltering but they were still nice. And it's always a happy atmosphere when you're about to get a box full of deep-fried, sugar rolled doughnuts. I stuck with the classic sugar but we also got some cinnamon sugar and stuffed (dobash and haupia) to share.
