I decided to take a long walk since I didn't go to the gym. I was staying near the entrance to Waikiki. I was going to walk along the Ala Wai, but I decided to go over on the Kapiolani side and walk that way. It is the long way around but when I felt like I needed caffeine, I remembered this small unassuming cafe. Friendly good morning when I walked in. He apologized for the wait, but it gave me time to look at the scones. I ordered their signature Honey Cinnamon latte. This was amazing! Their coffee beans are excellent! I should've asked who their supplier was! Me: Acai or Pitaya? What do you think? He: How about half and half? Lot's of customers ask for this. Sooooooo good! Plus I got to try both. I also had a blueberry scone which was very good! Perfect breakfast to start the day! I sat at a small table in the front. Their dining room is actually a good size even though small. Mahalo Pai! I'll be back again soon!
First timer. Small but nice area to do work as they have outlets and WiFi. I had their espresso and matcha which was tasty, but a tad too sweet. Their chocolate chip salt cookie was pretty good. They welcomed all their patrons, for some reason not me(?) so first impression was okay. A lot of sweet options and drinks. Overall, it's a good place to get a variety of drinks. I'm always on the lookout for homey, decently quiet coffee shops. I'll probably come back to try a different drink.
Love!! Such a sweet little cafe serving up delicious coffee and açaí bowls. Don't miss a piece of their in-house banana bread for an extra treat. Service is friendly and on point. Unexpectedly charming ambiance inside that you might not expect for a "strip center" location. Highly recommended
We were in the area and needed coffee and luckily came across Pai Cafe. Although the cafe is small, only about 4 or 5 tables, several were occupied and a couple people were working on laptops so they must have free Wifi. I also spotted a restroom. I ordered the Italian caramel macchiato, hot and it was delicious. I think it would also be good iced. My friend got an Earl Grey iced tea and we both bought scones. I don't remember what I got, but I ate every bit of it. There were lots of paintings on the walls which made it almost like a small gallery. I asked the woman working and she said the artists included the mother of the owner as well as other people they knew. It's a cute coffee shop I'll have to remember in case I want some place new to work from. There's also parking in front!
I've tried their pastries and matcha lattes and I think it's above average. The cafe is quiet and cute, staff are welcoming. I heard great things about their Portuguese sausage, cheese and green onion scones. I tried one and thought it was okay, just not my style. I can see why it's very popular with my friends who live close by and swear by it..I think the portion is small but they do warm it up for you. This is a good place to easily park (free lot) and grab a cup of joe or tea, and buy a pastry. Price points are reasonable. You can also study or work here in the space quite comfortably.
After meal dessert, we ordered an Acai Bowl, good size, neat and clean bowl. We ordered at the front the delivered the bowl in just a few minutes the service was excellent. The store has small tables to dine in and work while eating there. We'll be back to try other treats.

What a cute little cafe! The baristas were friendly and welcoming and the ambiance was calm. They have a great selection of scones, smoothies, coffee and tea drinks, and some acai bowls. We got the Mana Smoothie, a Soy Honey Cinnamon iced latte, and a Portuguese sausage scone. The smoothie was well balanced and tasty. The Scone had great flavor and a fantastic texture. The coffee was spectacular and best I've had in the Kapahulu area. I will absolutely be back.
Fruit was exceptionally fresh. Açaí was perfect consistency and they don't hold back on the portion size. Not too frozen and not too runny. Got the traditions açaí bowl. Plenty of parking in the lot. When you're driving there just keep an eye out for the entrance turning in, it's a little hidden. Had to do a loop around to find it. Service was very good. Atmosphere is very laidback and clean. Highly recommend if you're touring Hawaii to check this place out! You won't regret it!
The coffee is smooth, well balanced, and perfectly made. The smoothies are refreshing, vibrant, and not overly sweet. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to start your morning.
Their Guava Pitaya smoothie has to be one of the best smoothies I've had even on the mainland! When we arrived to Oahu, we went to Ono and stumbled across Pai Cafe and it was so good. I got the Blueberry Acai and my girlfriend got the Guava Pitaya. Both were very good but the Guava Pitaya was so refreshing and delicious. I don't know what's so magical about this smoothie but we are still talking about it post-Oahu. Parking is a bit limited and there's a little bit of seating inside with chairs outside. I would recommend this cafe and don't get any other smoothie besides their Guava Pitaya.
This is my go to coffee place! It's just outside of Waikiki on Kapahulu Avenue! The owners are amazing and they take pride in everything they do. The coffee shop is always clean, smells amazing and welcoming for anyone that wants to grab a quick bite, some really good coffee or to talk stories on one of their tables. It's nice to meet up with friends here and get hydrated and caffeinated while catching up before the drive home or to work! Highly recommend their hot mocha!
Went here after lunch as I was in a mood for a smoothie. Cute lil shop that serves pastries and various coffees, teas, smoothies, and a bit more. We were greeted right away as well. I got the guava pitaya smoothie and it was really flavorful and refreshing. My brother got the same thing and enjoyed it as well. His gf got their matcha, and they both tried that and said it was good. Great feedback all around! This smoothie was better than the other smoothie I got elsewhere. If I'm in this area again, I'd try some more stuff from Pai Cafe! read more

Very smooth! I got an iced lavender honey matcha latte and it was delicious! I wish there was more honey, but it all blended so nicely together. Reasonable prices! A few tables inside + a couple out front. The baristas were nice and friendly. Highly recommend! I liked this place! read more
I had excellent service here! I was waiting for dumpling factory to open and was having trouble with the parking. I decided to have a coffee while I waited but was still having trouble with the parking. The cashier was so nice and kind. She helped me get on the right registration page and then rang me up. I chose the Hawaiian Latte with coconut and Mac nut flavors. It was delicious and at the last moment I added a chocolate chip cookie which was also good. I noticed a couple next to me with one açaí bowl and one pitaya bowl so they have quite a few options here. The parking situation is strange because you need to go online and give your license plate number, phone number and email address which I think is excessive but at least you get two free hours. Don't scan the parking sign outside of the shop, scan the one on the inside for the free parking. Don't forget to register your car because someone is outside lurking and giving people tickets! read more

Small $$$ cafe located on the busy Kapahulu Ave. This place is more for tourists being that it's just the aesthetics here or maybe we ordered the wrong drinks. I got an iced honey rose matcha latte w/soy milk (sounded good) and my man got the açaí smoothie. Nothing to write home about...and if you're kama'aina, it's not worth going through the hustle and bustle of Kapahulu. The ladies behind the counter were friendly though. read more
I visited the place before going on the Diamond Head Crater hike. Ordered Flat White ($4.75). The atmosphere was great, and the tasteful pictures were on the wall. The place was clean, and the staff was friendly. Bad: - Parking can be stressful since the space is shared with other restaurants. You also have to register for parking with a QR code. Good: - Great atmosphere to visit. - Have various bakery options to pair with your drink. Conclusion: Although it was not the best coffee shop to visit, it was worth trying before the hike--nothing too good and nothing too bad about the location. read more

Stopped by here to grab coffee since it was nearby Ono poke. The coffee was yummy and a great wake me up. I saw a lot of locals just hanging outside so I'm sure they like it as well. Service was nice and very easy to order. read more
I needed a mid day pick up and found this little shop! I got the honey cinnamon Latte, and it was only $6!!!! What a great price! Coffee was so smooth and flavorful. Honey cinnamon was just what I needed. I only wish they had more milk choices, I can not have any fake milks, I know weird but I can't. And they only had whole milk which was good but would have liked a 2%. But trust me this is on my list for the area! Ambiance was quiet and cute. Everyone I. The cafe seemed to be enjoying themselves. Service was great, fast and attentive. Parking lot small but seems to move fast. read more

One of if not the best coffee shops on the island! The honey cinnamon latte is incredible and perfectly balanced every time. The staff are always super kind and attentive plus they make your coffee super fast! Very chill little shop with a good amount of seating and an absolute must try if you like flavorful lattes. read more
So glad we stumbled upon this cute little cafe. We tried at least 6 different places while in Oahu and this one was by far our favorite. We were always greeted and everyone was very nice and helpful. We even brought beans home with us. Also, the cold foam was 10/10 and they made our drinks less sweet as we don't like super sweet drinks. We came here at least 4/5 times while on the island. We will definitely be back. Also, we did try the banana bread and it was good 8/10 a little dry and would love a little more bananas in it. read more

I saw that there was a "new" (not really new but new to me) cafe from a friend's IG story since the last time I've visited. I went to check it out! It's located in the lot that had been vacate for years next to Ono Seafood. Glad to see that there was a new structure there now! It's next to Udon Gama-Dashi. There's a small parking lot for customer parking in the plaza. I decided to try one of their signature drinks - Velvet Cream Cold Brew. I was quite excited to try it out! There was a lot of velvet cream on top of the cold brew but was covered by the cup lid with no mouth opening to allow me to drink the cold foam with the cold brew. Boooo. When I took a sip of the cold brew without the foam, it had a weird sourness to it... tolerable but caught me off guard. I've never had sour cold brew before - maybe it was the coffee they used? I was unsure how I felt about the coffee itself. The velvet cream on top, however, was VERY good. It wasn't too sweet and added flavor to the weird sour cold brew coffee. Really glad that there was a cold foam topping. Based off just that one drink, my first impression of the cafe was quite low. However, I do want to try their other signatures to see if it was just an off day when I went as my friends really liked their other drinks. read more

stopped by here before leaving to the airport! nothing super spectacular about this place we got the matcha latte w/regular milk & honey lavender matcha! for the regular matcha latte, i didn't taste matcha at all but it kinda just taste like pure soy milk. the honey lavender matcha was also ok, you can't taste the matcha and it's overpowered with just lavender. if you're looking for something with strong matcha, this might not be the place for you read more

I already sent two of my friends here because THE COFFEE WAS SO GOOD!! Wasnt sure what to get but when I explained my craving for something creamy and slightly sweet, Micah recommended me the velvet cold brew. When I learned the cold foam was whipped for 20 minutes it was a no brainer. I loved it and had to go back the next day and get for my parents LOL They are super reasonable too! $5 for regular $5.75 for a large. We also got the Hawaiian latte which was macadamia nut and coconut and IT WAS AMAZING! Thank you Pai Cafe! Can't wait to be back home for more. Ps. I saw lots of people studying and hanging out inside! It isn't huge but it's a cute, cozy place to spend time! read more

We found this place by chance on our morning walk and I'm so happy we did! The staff are exceptionally friendly and seem to know everyone coming in. The service is very fast, but nothing feels rushed. My husband got a hot Italian caramel macchiato and I got an iced coconut milk latte - both were delicious! We enjoyed are drinks in the very cute seating area in the shop. read more
I love this coffee shop! This spot is along Kapuhulu Ave. There's parking available in the lot in front of the shop as well as street parking in the nearby neighborhood. The interior of the store is on the smaller side but overall is clean and bright. There's seating available indoors and outdoors, and tends to fill up quickly as this is a popular spot (I visited on a weekend morning)! I ordered the matcha latte and an earl grey scone. Service was friendly and quick! I loved my matcha latte, it was creamy with strong flavor, not too sweet either. The scone was delicious; tender, complemented with a sweet icing on top, and with notes of earl grey throughout. Right now, one of my favorite spots for a latte and pastry! Finally got to try this place after having it bookmarked for months. I ordered the honey rose matcha latte and blueberry scone. I was asked if I wanted the scone warmed up and decided to do that. There is some seating and a bathroom which is nice but I took it to go since we were heading to the beach. The matcha latte was really smooth. It wasn't strong or really sweet. The blueberry scone was good, however, while I was eating it I could smell that my blueberry scone had been touched maybe by one of the other scone flavors so it smelt a little funny. I'll probably be back to try their açaí bowl. read more

Stopped by this shop this morning. It seemed that everyone else that came in was a regular which is a great sign. The service was great and the coffee and acai bowl were even better. I got the Hawaiian latte half sweet on recommendation from the barista and the lady behind me in line. The best latte Ive had on the island so far! There are lots of places to choose from in the area but I highly recommend you check them out! read more
