Refreshing beverage in Ala Moana Center, Honolulu, Hawaii... I've been to the downtown and Ward Village locations of Ali'i Coffee, so when I heard that they have a new shop next to the Jollibee at Makai Market Food Court, I had to stop by! The free, covered parking is much appreciated... and so is the wonderful air-conditioning and beautiful wall mural! Note: This space used to be Honolulu Bistro Service was super friendly and efficient! The friends of the employees were hanging out and chatting in a welcoming manner! Thanks! The charming gal at the counter listened to me and figured out that I would enjoy the Ali'i Cloud because it was dairy-free and contained coconut milk already! The base was the Purple Haze iced tea - and some vanilla was added to the mix... very clever! Thank you so much for a great foodie experience! I'll be back!
Coffee aficionados! Ali'i Coffee Co. has landed in Ala Moana Center! Grand opening was on July 1, 2026. No WiFi currently available and cash only payments at this time. My daughter and I were walking around AMC and we came upon the old Honolulu Bistro location. We found Ali'i Coffee Co. had just opened in its place. Barista Christopher and Barista Myra gave us the 411 on the menu! Did you know Ali'i Coffee serves cold brew on tap? Try one of their speciality lattes like the Royal Honey latte that uses local honey. Their On Tap options also include a jasmine green tea with butterfly pea flower, honey and lemon, aptly called Purple Haze, and The King, which is a chocolate caramel cold brew with coconut milk and half and half. We tried the On Tap cold brew and the Purple Haze. Coffee on tap is Strong and smooth. Purple Haze is a delightful and refreshing on tap tea concoction! Ambiance is clean and fresh! Nice wall mural and indoor and outdoor seating is available. Breakfast and Lunch is also available here. See photos for menu. Please note they have a stamp card that will be stamped with every item purchased. Once the card is filled, you are rewarded with a free drink ($5 value). Support local! Come on by today!
Cozy and comfortable little spot with good coffee and food. We came a couple of times. Had the breakfast burrito and the pastrami sandwich. Both very tasty. They also have an array of pastries and other sweets. Friendly and efficient service. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Largest drink was 16oz. Decent prices and very creative and tasty drink options like "Coff-tails". Love the ambiance of this place, limited seating offered inside and outside. It was like a coffee bar which was really cool, they even have cold brew on tap! The server was very kind in helping us understand the menu and the drinks came out so quick!

PARKING: free garage OVERALL COMMENTS: I go to Ala Moana all the time so when I saw that they opened there I had to stop by. I decided to order what I got back in 2018, which was their taro ube latte but instead of it hot, I got it iced. Creamy n' full on taro + ube flavor throughout. Never a bland or diluted sip. I can see why it is their signature. My 1 y/o enjoyed the keiki grilled cheese n' so did I! The rosemary sourdough gave it extra flavor n' the inside was cheesy. The fruit added a nice fresh touch. Definitely plan to return to try more of their lattes n' matcha while I know my hubz would L.O.V.E. their cold brew!
I'm a big fan of coffee, so it was hard for me to believe I've never been here. I've had their coffee elsewhere over the years, but this cafe is a popular and nice one. It's at Ward Village so it's a convenient place to stop if you're shopping in the area. There's plenty of free parking. Outside they have a bunch of sidewalk tables; inside more including a larger one for a group. They have a full menu of coffees and smoothies, plus food for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable for the area. The pastries disappear fast, so getting there early is necessary if that's what you're going for. The staff was very friendly and fast with orders. There was a constant stream of happy customers too. If you're a coffee fan, this one is worth visiting.
Clean, spacious, strong, and delicious! Had their ube latte, recommended to me hot. The flavor was strong, milk wasn't too hot, and art with gorgeous. Quick service. Detailed menus previews to explain their drinks creative names. Outdoor seating available!
We stopped here just be chance early morning on a weekday and had a wonderful small little breakfast. We both had already had coffee, so we came here for a small bite to eat, which is kind of funny considering it's a coffee place. I got an acai bowl and my wife got a cinnamon toast thing. Both were really good and totally hit the spot. The cinnamon toast was somehow dry and delicious and perfect. It was like a crunch toast, that was dry and tender at the same time. The acai bowl was nice and thick, it didn't taste icy. I like my acai bowls like this. We're definitely going to come back here and next time we'll order coffee as well. The inside was nice and comfortable, there was another person there who had a cute dog that looked like a corgi/chihuahua mix, it added to the charm of the place!
I came here to study and use my computer, and I wasn't just taking up space without buying anything. I ordered a sandwich that cost nearly $20, but I had barely settled in and hadn't even had a chance to use the Wi-Fi. When I asked a staff member if they had ketchup or Tabasco, An old lady said she didn't and went to the back to get Sriracha. she stayed back there for quite a while, and as soon as she returned, the Wi-Fi stopped working on my computer. The timing was extremely suspicious. It felt as though the Wi-Fi may have been intentionally disconnected because she saw me come in with my computer and assumed I would stay there to use it. When I raised the issue, she insisted that nothing was wrong, even though the internet clearly wasn't working on my computer. I was a paying customer and did not deserve to be treated this way. This was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience.
Love the new location in Ala Moana Center by the Food Court. Great vibe, excellent food and super good coffee. Owners are really cool too. Love this place
The Iced Pistachio Matcha is a dream! Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced between the earthy matcha and nutty pistachio flavor. Not too sweet, very refreshing, and beautifully presented. Definitely a must-try!
This is the best coffee shop around! The owner, James, roasts his own beans! If your beans are good, if the roast is excellent, then your coffee will always have the best flavor, and your experience will be unforgettable! Gotta check them out! Cash, card,... Happy National Coffee Day... What better place to go than somewhere local that has me caffeinated for awhile and while Kaka'ako/Ward area has been sadly moved on so did Ali'i Coffee to the Ala Moana location Street Level between Agua Cabana and Jollibee. Selfishly I do love this location obviously with lots of parking the mall provides with just short walking distance to them and seating both inside and outside with all the sips and bites like the usual. I do normally have their teas but on this fall day it was the "Pumpkin Cold Brew" the bite of fall has arrived and I do love to order the specials as it is limited and the unique flavors of the season is never to be missed. The staff is very friendly and kind and love the calm vibe the restaurant provides as not only I get charged but so did my phone as it was only on 9% (yikes!) well they're open later versus the Ward hours of 2pm to now at the Ala Moana location of 6pm does give me the chance to peek in and sip some of their finest brew. I was really sad to hear that Ali'i coffee was closing their shop in the Ward Center. It was such a great spot to go to in the morning. I will miss it! However, I was happy that they found a spot in Ala Moana. Late mornings are a bit of a zoo, but if you are there early, no problem with parking. The interior is much smaller. But they still have the same great warm welcoming vibe! The staff is friendly and like the new space. I was able to get my Queen on ice! Such a great drink! Looking forward to coming back soon! Today I checked out the new Ali'i Coffee coffee location . It's on the Makai side of Ala Moana shopping center . The ground level next door to Mrs.Fields cookies but unfortunately they're close for business so sad . I ordered my go to drink iced white chocolate mocha latte. It was very delicious and also gave me a little caffeine boost for the morning. There's a few tables inside as well as outside . Service is friendly and pretty fast . Now I know there's Ali'i coffee in the mall I will be definitely going there more often . Couple of times I went to their Courtyard by Marriott location on Kuhio Ave. They also have a location on N.Betetania St which parking could be a challenge. Support local read more

Let's start off with service. The ladies working the counter were super friendly. It was my first time here and asked for her opinion. She suggested either the queen or the prince. Super nice. Coffee: "The Prince" which has hints of caramel and sea salt. Super good. You can really taste the sea salt and caramel. I got it iced and large. Will be drinking this the whole way back to the hotel. Ambiance: Great music and has outlets next to every seat, for those needing to charge their devices. Also pet friendly as I seen a lot of people coming in to get their coffee while walking their dogs. read more
This is probably my favorite coffee spot. Not too many tables to make it feel over hyped or crowded and not too small where you can't stick around. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. Their social media is enticing and makes you want to go. Whoever is behind their social media deserves a raise. My favorite drink to get is the pistachio matcha - it's perfectly crafted in my opinion. I haven't really gotten around to trying their food but I'm sure it's great because all their coffee choices are! I often order their banana chocolate chip bread which is super good, especially when heated. read more
Very cute coffee shop with festive decorations and beautiful mural. The staff were welcoming and friendly when we asked about the menu. They have a variety of coffee, food, tea, and Dave's even ice cream. We ordered the Lomi Salmon Bagel, Masala Chai, and Island Breakfast Tea. The Lomi Salmon Bagel was pretty good and I liked the smoked salmon. I recommend the Masala Chai if you like black tea! read more

When it comes to convenient cafes in Hotels, for some reason, I get skeptical of the quality, as sometimes, convenient cafes within proximity aren't always the best. However, Ali'i Coffee was the total opposite and SO yummy. I loved the variety of different cafe drinks they had. Whether you are into strong, bold cold brews, sweet iced lattes, or a classic hot brewed coffee, they have it here with local flavors and brews. They also have a variety of food options to choose from. I wish I had tried them! The staff here are friendly and approachable!\ The ambiance here is a vibe, and I loved the R&B music they were playing as well. It is a well-cleaned cafe as well. read more

I come here for one thing, the taro ube latte but my boyfriend does love their acai bowl, one of the best ones he had. Parking: Plenty parking around the area but there's a parking garage across. Staff are always nice and happy. Store has some cool seating and is pet friendly. read more

Had 2 açaí bowls and 1 regular coffee and 1 cold brew. I wasn't aware that there was an extra charge for using your credit card. Would be nice to be transparent with your business. Food and coffee was good. It's more of a grab and go kind of vibe. I asked one of the workers for a particular size in a t-shirt that I was interested in. I'm always purchasing cafe style t-shirts to send back home as souvenirs. Anyway, we were already done with our food and coffee. I decided to go up and ask the worker if she found the tshirt size..... me "excuse me, were you able to locate the size of tshirt I requested" - worker "oh I got really busy"- me "ok, can you let me know"? - worker *eye-roll.... In the end, they didn't have my size, never offered to give a receipt (my bad for not asking for one) and then not disclosing their extra fees for credit card usage. Food and coffee was good, so I will give 3 stars. read more

coffee is always yummy. that roast is out of this world. matcha is matchaing.i mean look at that color. The Ali'i veggie is so yummy. You would think that the location in the parking garage would make it dark and grungy. EXACT OPPISITE. I sat on the outside seating. The table i sat at had sun beaming in on me and the surrounding tables. it was relaxing and quite cozy. inside was nice and cool with air con too. read more

Nice area found parking in the lots. My boyfriend and I came early in the morning and staff gave a warm greeting. We tried the Queen and The Prince Signature. They offered milk alternatives thankfully. The Queen was really sweet and the Prince has a nice sea salt and Carmel touch. Definitely would recommend. read more

I didn't really enjoy the coffee as much as I hoped, the flavor just wasn't quite for me. But the service was really good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It's a nice place to try if you're in the area, with a relaxed vibe that makes it a good spot to hang out or take a break while exploring Ward Village. Definitely worth checking out at least once! read more
Ali'i Coffee Ward was a last minute decision to try but I am SO glad I did! The interior is a bit small but the drinks are to die for! Iced Taro Ube Latte: 10/10 Purple Haze: 8/10 Banana Bread: 8/10 The ube latte was the best I've ever had! The Purple Haze was so unique and a delicious blend of tea that I really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and really made sure customers were satisfied. They also were able to make a lot of adjustments to drinks if needed, which was nice to see them happy to accommodate. The only thing I noticed was the food items on the menu were extremely expensive for what was offered, but I did not actually try any food items and can't comment on how they tasted. Parking is a challenge when coming here, but it's worth it! read more

I love their iced pistachio matcha latte!! The matcha and pistachio flavor are paired well, it is topped off with pistachio foam and crushed pistachios. They do get busy but service was fast and easy. read more

Go here for the taro ube latte!!! Coffee is the perfect blend of South American beans for the house blend. Baristas were so kind and skilled! Picture perfect latte with beautiful art and tasted great too! Ordered whole milk, which apparently makes for the best latte art (and of course tastes good too). They used the perfect ratio of milk. The coffee is so reasonably priced as well. They answered all my coffee questions! Ward village has free parking in a garage (the second level is unlimited time parking and the first level has time limits). Not a huge shop, but a little bit of indoor and outdoor seating. Free wifi and a couple of longer tables for people who want to do some laptop work! read more
