I think this is the first cafe inside a laundromat so I was excited to check them out. First of all, their staff is super friendly. I went about 10 minutes before closing and was able to get a drink plus they are quick too. Since it was my first time, I tried the Thai Latte which is a latte with condensed milk. This had the perfect amount of sweetness of it not being too sweet but sweet enough where you can still taste the coffee. Very smooth coffee and I definitely will come back to try their other drinks. Parking is also available on the side on Pensacola Street or street parking is available.
Da early morning grind... Open daily at 7am already has me loving this place along with lots of free parking that it does share with the laundromat it share space with though it is more of an express as you place your order and pick up though a window and yes no seating to casually enjoy your sip the simplicity of it all is nice. With lots of varieties to choose from the usually espresso coffees, dirty sodas and teas they have a monthly special items and Specialty Lattes as well. Matcha-Nana Latte is their version of the Matcha Banana Pudding and it was nice to strong with the banana flavor but definitely was slightly there though not the best matcha I had it was still very up there in comparison to many others. I love that I could get a cup at 7 in the morning as many do open after 10am isn't in the cup for me with my work schedule. The service is very nice and friendly though the vibe is not the reason you're hear for knowing that you're able to come as early in the morning is convenient and appreciated. Thank you!
Tried their Iced Hapa Latte this morning and it was so yummy! Not overly sweet which I liked. Wish I got their bigger size - will definitely order again, but I think it's from their monthly menu. Forgot to take a pic of their menu, but I believe the iced hapa latte was a white mocha latte topped with a chocolate pudding cloud! So so good! When you're waiting for your drink, just be mindful of where you stand. Depending on the time you go, there can be ppl walking by or riding their bikes/skateboard.
International Tea Day in Honolulu, Hawaii... I searched "tea" on my Yelp app and found Da Morning Grind Cafe. Located on the corner of King Street and the left side of Pensacola Street, Da Morning Cafe shares a free parking lot with King Laundromat. I ordered at the outside window on the King Street side of the building. Service was very friendly - especially because it was the worker's second day on the job. She introduced me to the owner and didn't want to be in the photo. That's how I got a photo of the owner. Haha! This is a takeout only business. It was on the windy, noisy, sunny side with many cars passing by. I had my Peach honey green tea in the car. It was light and refreshing! I would return because of the convenient location.
I finally got to try Da Morning Grind after having it bookmarked for about a month. A friend picked it up for me, so I can't speak much about the atmosphere or the shop itself, but I can definitely say the matcha was delicious. I ordered the Matcha Nana (banana matcha), and it was perfect. The sweetness level was just right for me, and the banana flavor was excellent--almost like a banana bread latte in matcha form. My friend placed the order online, which seemed super convenient and made the whole process easy. Based on this first experience, I'll definitely be stopping by the shop in person soon!
Hidden coffee shop newly opened located inside the Laundromat. Nice and friendly folks. Ordered: Iced Sago Matcha Latte with Ube Sweet Cloud and Sago. Really great flavor combination with matcha and slight chew from the Ube sago. Would be a great spot to grab a drink if you need to do laundry.
Da Morning Grind Cafe is conveniently located in town, on King Street--in Kings Laundromat. You can order inside the laundromat or outside at the window. I toon advantage of their online ordering system for a 7:15AM pickup. They were so efficient that my drink was ready 10 min early! I enjoyed a small iced mac nut latte, less sweet. I appreciated the customization options even on their online platform. Keep in mind that some customizations cost extra. My drink was $6.02 with tax. Not bad at all, given the prices of comparable drinks from other businesses! This cafe is more of a grab and go kind of place. Great for those working, studying or running errands. Curious about their matcha and dirty sodas. Will be back! Customer service was excellent. Very friendly staff.

Got the Da Matcha Nana Latte: matcha latte with homemade honey syrup topped with Da Banana Brown Sugar Custard w/ whole milk and less sweet. A bit pricey with a 16oz costing almost $8. Although I got "less sweet," it is still too sweet for me and tastes like a 75% sweetness drink. Because of the sweetness, matcha flavor isn't pronounced. The drink is creamy tho, not watery! Cream top tastes good, but there isn't enough of it!! If you like a sweeter matcha this is for you! Service is fast and there is a parking lot (a bit difficult to get out of the lot tho)
What nice addition to this section of King Street! Come down Pensacola and find this little cafe tucked inside a new laundromat. Parking is right off of Pensacola, across from Kaiser. You can enter through the laundromat or find the other pick up window on the King Street side. Workers are super friendly! I really enjoyed my strawberry matcha with almond milk! Strawberry purée was so good, wish I got a bigger size! Matcha was spot on. Will be back to try the Experiment 626 next time!
Highly recommend!! Their drinks are creative and yummy!!! Go check them out! Look for the cute little window. I think they need a bigger sign on the exterior!!! I had no idea they were here!!!
My coworker told me about this spot. I am SO ecstatic that there is a great Matcha place by my work building! The matcha is rich and not watered down. So satisfying! I ordered the 16oz Strawberry matcha latte. The strawberry purée was a bit too thick to stir but it tasted great and eventually blended well with the Matcha. Can't wait to try the coffee lattes as well! This is right around the corner at Pensacola and S. King St. where the laundromat is located. The small window has a button to ring the bell and the menus were posted right next to it so you won't miss it. The staffs are very friendly! Will definitely comeback here again.

I was hoping the matcha flavor would come through a little stronger, but honestly, it was still really good for what it is. The concept alone makes it worth checking out, and I definitely plan on coming back to try the coffee.
Really enjoyed my visit to Da Morning Grind Cafe! The cafe is connected to a laundromat, which makes it a pretty unique spot. There's parking available there, or you can find street parking nearby. I tried their Iced Vanilla Malt Coffee, and it was delicious! Definitely a drink I'd recommend if you're looking for something sweet, flavorful, and strong! Service was also great and quick. Everything was smooth from ordering to getting my drink. Overall, a really nice spot for a quick coffee stop. I'd definitely come back and try more of their drinks! read more
Da Morning Grind Cafe is located in the old Minatoya Eye Clinic corner building on Pensacola and King Sts. They have a takeout window where you place & pick up your order so the service is pretty quick. Their drink menu is quite extensive. They have a wide variety of coffee, tea, and dirty sodas. I ordered the 12oz matcha-nana & it was the cutest little drink I've ever had!! Next time I wanna try one of their matcha sago drinks... If you don't mind a little splurge ($8) for your drink, definitely treat yourself to Da Morning Grind Cafe! read more
There are a number of good artisanal coffee shops on Oahu and Da Morning Grind Cafe is one of them. Situated in Pensacola Laundry's ( the old eye clinic ) building. They have a parking lot accesible via Pensacola Street. Walk up window on South King St. Iced Kinako Latte, 16 oz. was very good. A double espresso with Kokuto ( unrefined brown/black sugar ) and topped with a Kinako custard. read more

Da Morning Cafe located on the corner of South king street and Pensacola. I went at about 7am and they have a small take out window, it's definitely hard to miss so it feels like a very hidden gem. The menu is pretty diverse with different types of matcha and coffee. The matcha is on the darker side and less creamy than other places. I had the banana matcha and we also got the hapa latte. Both not too sweet which I enjoyed! Would go back to try a different drink, service was also super quick so we didn't wait long. read more

While scrolling on IG I saw a video about this place. I wanted to check it out but I've just been so busy. On a random Tuesday I was driving by and there happened to be an open street parking stall across the street so I decided to check it out! There was no line and the cashier was really sweet. I did not go inside and instead ordered from the window outside. I tried the Iced Sago Matcha Latte and decided to add Ube. My cousin got the Banana Matcha Latte. Both were pretty tasty! Personally for me I will probably add a little extra syrup in the future. Just for a bit more sweetness and flavoring. I also wished the sago was cooked a little bit longer as it was still white and grainy on the inside. But overall this is a quick and convenient place to go to! And their drinks are tasty, so I will be back to try their other options! read more

This cafe has become my go to coffee/matcha stop on my morning commute or for a mid-day treat. Plenty of parking in the lot off of Pensacola, or in the loading zone on King St if just picking up. The online order function (Toast) is convenient but service is quick even when ordering in person. There are some benches in the laundromat and space to stand outside, usually more of a quick stop for me. I'm glad there's a solid place near my work and I'm looking forward to trying the July specials! read more

Unfortunately, there ended up being a bit of a confusion n' ultimately I had to place another order to get the correct drink with strawberry. I think the best way I should've said it was, "Iced Sago STRAWBERRY Matcha Latte w/ Sweet Cloud." It ended up being the one I liked most out of all three drinks. I've learned that I'm a sweet matcha drinker so the strawberry puree gave the extra sweetness in addition to the sweet cloud. Da Matcha-Nana tasted good after thoroughly mixing all the ingredients together. The iced sago matcha latte w/condensed milk n' sweet cloud was a bit bland in matcha n' sweetness, not sure if it had to do with getting a large size. Would recommend a bigger straw as the sago sometimes clumped n' got stuck. Will need to try them again to see if I have different results! read more

Yay!!!! I'm so happy there's a new local coffee place in the area (especially since Raintree is now closed). What a great, convenient spot to pick up espresso drinks from! Picked up a macnut latte for a morning meeting after seeing this on instagram. Wanted a nice cup of joe where you actually taste the coffee and this definitely delivered. I was worried about the logistics since it was located at the corner of Pensacola and king street, but it was actually really smooth. There was tons of parking in the laundromat lot and I was able to order ahead on the toast app. I checked out their menu and am eager to try other drinks. read more

I've tried MANY different coffee places but this spot is DELICIOUS! I like how one can taste ALL the flavors combined in their drinks being ordered and I like that there are serval types of milk alternatives for Vegan folks or anyone who is lactose intolerant. I like that one can pre-order there drinks for the following day but be mindful of the time you place it because the service is quick and punctual which honestly is rare to be punctual with pre-ordering for next day. I really like the fact that I was called to be informed my drinks were ready and to make sure I was okay and on the way to pick them up, that was sweet and nice very thoughtful. It isn't a place one can go in and sit and drink there drinks inside but I can tell it's a clean ambiance and everything gets wiped down often and stored properly. I will definitely come here again, so if ever around this area stop by and check them out you won't regret it. read more

Found a new go to place for coffee and matcha. The cold brew is smooth and the matcha is just right. The service is excellent and friendly! Don't be fooled that it's located in a laundromat. You can access the coffee shop via the street or inside. If you're looking for great tasting drinks, stop by Da Morning Grind, you won't be disappointed!! read more
