Incredible Coffee spot! Specializing in drip coffee with bold flavors. The staff were super friendly and we even got to spend a few minutes with the owner! A great spot to grab a quick drink or sit down and get some work done. relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. If you're ever in chinatown stop by this spot!
Was craving for match and I order a matcha from here service was great took a little longer than anticipated but the drink was nice and fresh enjoyed and killed my craving.
Come for the matcha, stay for the conversation pit. Yes, Drip Studio has a cool conversation pit (two of them actually) in the front of the cafe for you to sit and enjoy your drinks at. I love their matcha, I usually go for the strawberry matcha and I've also tried their hojicha. But this spot is called Drip studio because of their drip coffee. I love coffee and was amazed on how strong yet smooth the coffee is. It takes a little bit for them to make it, but the process is so cool to watch. This is one of those spots that I always run into someone I know. Plus, the staff here is just so friendly. If you're craving a coffee or matcha in Chinatown, definately check out Drip Studio.
I'm so glad I got to try here! I've worked at multiple coffee shops so I know a good share about coffee. Let me tell you, Drip has GOOD coffee. The beans they use tastes nutty and chocolaty, very different from other coffee places I've tried. I can see Drip is passionate in what they do and they were very friendly and shared their knowledge of what they know.
Delicious and such a relaxing way to spend an early Sunday morning! Friendly staff provides stellar customer service. I think I found another favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Pretty latte art is an extra bonus! Will be back again soon!

Yes everyone you can now have your fix on Sundays which I'm so excited and know that parking is free around town which many know makes it even more of a reason to chill here but they do also validate for an hour at the building parking lot which is found in the back entrance and it's so fast and easy. I've actually have been here before they moved to this current location which is just as nice but bigger with more seating is very nice and fun as some of the seating you're actually in the window to show off your sip and relax lol! On this visit I came to complete my Matcha Map which was such a fun and experience I enjoyed with friends as it took us around various places that serves up some items that makes it uniquely their own. No different here as it's much more clean and simple as it's not overly sweet but flavors were definitely there. It was the classic Strawberry Matcha with Almond Milk it was a very elegant sip and since we had the validation I defiantly wanted to have it here which they do give it to you in a glass and omg what a stunning sip with the layers and finished with dusting of matcha and some dried strawberries...cheers! I paired it with a Gochujang Sugar Cookie that I couldn't resist that did have the perfect slight kick was delicious and that it was made in house as well was impressive. Love the various unique seating and merchandise of the matcha with accessories as well this place is definitely a great place to work or chill. Thank you very matcha!
Forever one of my favorites, and literally my favorite coffee shop on island! Everything is extremely high quality, they care about quality and precision vs. trends, and nothing is overly sweet which I love. This time I got the Americano which was SO good, the strawberry matcha which is by far my literally my favorite on island and has a good amount of strawberries! High-quality coffee, matcha, hojicha - they don't miss. Shoutout Vincent and Rod!!
Great local coffee shop ambiance with accommodations for larger parties of 6-8 as well. I got the strawberry matcha and it was rich and delightful. I tried the yogurt as well and it was so refreshing. The service was excellent with knowledgeable and kind staff!
Cute little coffee shop in downtown. The baristas were so nice and talked us through some of their pour overs. As black coffee lovers, this place does have tasty coffees. The cold brew had a very unique flavor but wasn't bitter or woody at all like some cold brews can be. The yogurt bowl was simple and tasty.
I loved the iced lavender latte with almond milk. It was so good that I went back a few days later for another one. Located downtown, great place if you live or work in the area and don't need parking. There's a self serve station to place your own orders. Then you get it from the counter once it's ready. Kinda felt like it lacked a personal or welcoming feel. No hi or goodbye or thank you or aloha.... But I guess it serves its purpose and good for people that don't want to have interaction. It has a bit of an artsy feel to it. Not sure what was there before, but it's a cool size and vibe for downtown. I will definitely come back when I'm in town again.
I came here with one other person for some quick coffee. It was pretty busy when we came in and had to wait for awhile to order and another while for our drinks. I just went with a pour over and the person I came with got their Americano. Both our drinks tasted really light. We both thought it was okay and nothing crazy good. It seemed like everyone else who came in got a matcha so that would be something I would like to come back and try. They also had some pastries too that looked good. The inside is cute and they have places to sit and hang out. The people working were also really nice and helpful. Parking was tough since we just did street parking.

There is metered street parking or a nearby paid parking lot but it's still a little way away to walk to, and it's not visible from the main street so make sure to use your map! I've been seeing this spot on Instagram constantly and it was nearby so I wanted to check it out. I really enjoyed my strawberry matcha latte - it was one of my top drinks of the trip! It was perfect sweetness without overpowering the matcha flavor. Such a pretty but quality drink!!
What a great spot! Tucked in Chinatown, this spot uniquely positioned in between bustling shops When we arrived, the staff was friendly and warm. Making sure we didn't have any questions and giving us time to make our decision. One of the staff even gave us a free taster of one of their coffees. The vibe and feel of the shop is very cool. Loved the touches of cobalt blue! Loved stopping by this spot.
This is hands down my favorite place to get coffee in the downtown area. They do excellent pour overs and have some unique specialty drinks. The food is also great. Service is always quick. If you're hungry, I highly recommend the crunch time sandwich. It's a turkey pesto sandwich with chips in it! So good. There is a limited amount of seating and it does get pretty busy, especially on the weekends. read more
My ALL TIME FAVORITE coffee shop! Vince and Kelsie, the owners, are incredibly friendly and inviting. They always remember their regulars and make conversation with all the customers, it creates a very welcoming environment and I enjoy that most about Drip. I love the rotating flavors of beans for the drip coffees, it always gives me something new to try and look forward to. I've also tried the Cold Fashion and enjoyed the balance of the flavors a lot, adding their cold foam adds a good touch of cream in the drink. read more

A great café featuring amazing local and international coffees -- as well as quality matcha and hojicha. Located at Fort Street Mall, the small shop has a relaxing, easy-going vibe despite the fast-paced, busy nature of Downtown. There are times where they get slammed, but the atmosphere is still upbeat and positive. The staff are super friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the coffees or teas they sell. Whether you're a coffee/tea aficionado or someone who wants to know more, the staff are amazing at helping you out. Love this drip studio! So many choices! I got my usual oat milk latte, as that is what I use to determine the quality of the shop. My latte was spot on. Great flavor and beautiful finish! See photo. The ambiance is quaint and interesting. I'm from Kaua'i and stopped in before a meeting. Very urban! The selection of drinks is huge. Love matcha and will have to come back when in town. Hands down the best coffee I had in HNL, this place also comes highly recommended by people on Reddit (who are usually very picky). The interior is cute and cozy and I had a wonderful time. The drip coffee menu is top notch, offerings from single origin to various processes. They have some beans in collaboration with Dak, one of the golden standards for coffee roasters in Europe. The baristas brew delicately and expertly. The non pourover drinks are exciting and excellent as well. Something for everyone. Whole heartedly recommend and I think HNL drip studio competes at the highest level. read more

There are probably a lot of reviews about their coffee, but let me share something about their food. I got to try their sandwiches specifically their fig, walnut and ham sandwich. Also got a hojicha latte to go with it. I sat at the counter for my lunch meal. I like the blue colored walls and the stools were comfy. The staff were very friendly and were chit chatting a bit. The hojicha could be a bit stronger but not sure if it's because it's diluted by the ice. The sandwich was delicious. The combo of everything - fig, Brie, walnut, ham - is like a charcuterie board stuffed between two slices of toast! I'd like to go again to try their other sandwiches! read more
I saw the owner's cute video on social media about the carrot cake latte and I was influenced. I was in an autumnal spirit but it was 85 degrees outside so I needed some assistance in the form of a seasonal beverage. As soon as I entered the owner greeted me and asked what I wanted. I got the carrot cake latte (obviously) and my sister got the mango matcha latte. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. My sister gave her matcha a 5/5, she said it was as good as Cooke St Market, which is also known for their great mango matcha latte. The carrot cake latte was also 5/5 and did actually taste like a carrot cake. I used to work on fort street and it's been tough for businesses the past few years so I am always rooting for new small businesses there. Was the carrot cake latte somewhat pricey, yes, but was it high quality and worth it to support a local business? Absolutely. Will come back to try the other items soon. read more

Best coffee I had during my stay in Honolulu, a simple latte with whole milk, $9 yikes! Friendly staff and quick service. The place appeared clean and inviting, it is located in a rundown area and finding parking is also challenging. read more

I'm always looking for coffee shops that offer quality coffee, unique drinks, delicious food that's made in-house, and a vibe that makes me want to chill out, sit down & enjoy my meal. DRIP STUDIO IS EXACTLY THAT!! Staff is so so friendly. Coffee is so good. The food is YUM. I got Vince's Favorite sandwich and the Drip Royale coffee and was amazed by both. This place is located in Chinatown at the fort street mall right next to marukame udon and subway. Once you enter, it's a totally different vibe. So calm and relaxing. I loved it. The workers were so cool and friendly and you can actually see the worker making your drinks right in front of you. I got their mango matcha latte and it had a strong, rich matcha taste and a hint of mango. Nothing too sweet. It was good. I would love to try their strawberry matcha next because their matcha has a very good taste to it. read more

I finally tried drip studio after my coffee friends have recommended it. While its location is t the most convenient during the weekend, it was nice to visit the new daiso down the street too. We were lucky and found street parking a few blocks away. I asked a few questions about their signature drinks- debated between the espresso tonic and the rosemary latte. After being informed the cold fashion is citrus forward (specifically orange) I decided to try really new with the rosemary latte, after being warned it would be a savory flavor. It definitely tasted like rosemary and not in a too herbal way, kinda similar to the spice of the chai with a slightly different note. Reminded my friend and I have rosemary when we have it with lamb. Definitely a fun unique drink to try that I would recommend for those that like to try something different! read more

I finally got to check out Drip Studio downtown for a caffeinated pick-me-up! [Location] Drop Studio's new location is in Fort Street Mall. I bussed, so I'm not sure what the parking situation is. No restroom from what I could see. This location is spacious with unconventional yet fun seating! [Coffee] I tried the cold fashioned with foam, which came out to $8.50. Maybe not the cheapest cup of joe, but quite an enjoyable one! I think the price point is fair because I've had lesser cups for the same price at other cafes. The drink was creative, refreshing and delicious! [Customer Service] The cafe owner and staff were super friendly. Quite possibly the friendliest customer service I've ever experienced. During my cafe hopping adventures, I decided to check out Drip Studio. I originally planned on getting a matcha but was intrigued by their Cold Fashioned with house made cold foam. It's their take on an old fashioned, reimagined as a cold brew style drink. Since I am not a fan of alcoholic drinks, I was curious how it would taste, but they did an excellent job capturing the flavors while still making it taste like a coffee drink. Someone told me if I had an IV drip it would be filled with matcha. My friends know me and know my obsession with matcha. So with that being said, gotta end my trip on the island with one last matcha! Glad we could support Drip Studio cause this place is so good! Drip Studio is so cute. I came with my unnie Li Y. and Dad. I got an Iced Matcha Chai Latte with Oat Milk. She got an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. My drink was so good! Great matcha quality and a present chai flavor. Both worked well together creating a rich and earthy balance. Would love to try their other matcha offerings! drip studio got the drip! haha i am so funny. sorry. anyway i walked in dripped out and walked out digesting uhhh very potent food laxatives. oahu's coffee scene for me is still a bit lacking, but drip studio has a lot of potential. location - near chinatown, hpu...easy to find since its all blue. everything is blue. giving percy jackson. service - baristas are super super friendly and nice! they are so fun to talk to. if you need to touch some grass just start a convo. the drinks - as i said were a bit lackluster. they rotate thru different beans and roasters apparently. i guess they were still dialing in when i ordered? i dunno cause unfortunately the coffee did not make me feel like a super powerful demigod who could battle a greek god and pummel his sorry butt. cortado was alright. couldn't taste any notes except for maybe some fruit - it was quite acidic. milk was steamed well but a bit bubbly and i wonder if that's cause the acid in the shot curdled the milk. matcha was pretty good! handwhisked to order HOORAY!!! too sweet with vanilla syrup added so get it non sweetened. they also have food, hojicha, chai etc. overall not bad but may need to dial in better. service needs NO improvement they are all expert extroverts read more

I can only speak for the matcha here, not the coffee, which seems more like their specialty. Tried their matcha latte for the first time (had waited awhile when they were closed for renovations/relocation?) recently, since there had been some social media marketing/friends going, etc. Chinatown parking is bad, especially when the store is located in Fort Street Mall but we got lucky! The shop smelled a little smokey, a lingering scent of cigarettes...not the best first impression. The studio itself looked industrial, slightly shabby chic. Interesting seating arrangements. I wouldn't say the best cafe vibe for independent studying or workflow but good for casual meetings or a break for your feet. Menu was limited. Matcha menu even more limited. It was my first time seeing a shop sell unsweetened matcha lattes for $7. You have to pay separately for sweetener, the cheapest being $1 extra for just plain syrup. And the cup size is tiny! Specialty sweeteners like chai or strawberry syrups are $2 extra!! I got the regular matcha latte and friend got the strawberry matcha latte. They apparently use Kyoto matcha powder. The brightness looked great, but the taste! To put it kindly, this is NOT the place for matcha. It was easily the bottom of the totem pole. I could taste the bitterness of the tea, but very very faintly matcha flavored. It was almost as if I was drinking watered down green tea *from dried leaves. The strawberry matcha was a slight grade above mine, but friend said it was the worst matcha she's had, easily. It just tasted like milk and water. I definitely would not go back soon for matcha. read more
We originally stopped by to try their matcha--it's been all over my feed and wanted to check out all the hype! But once we saw the Cold Fashioned on the menu, we had to give it a shot--and we're so glad we did. It's such a fun and flavorful twist on a cold brew and old fashioned combo, topped with that dreamy cold foam?! AMAZING. Service was super quick too, especially considering how handcrafted everything is. The whole team was helpful, but we were especially impressed by Anna! She was so kind and friendly, and we appreciated how she moved effortlessly around the café helping out wherever needed. Huge thank you!! This cozy little spot is tucked away in Chinatown, and even during our short visit, we noticed it gets busy fast. We're already excited to come back and try more from their menu! read more

Parking: street or pantheon (get validation from drip) Strawberry Matcha 5/10: I'm kind of sad that I didn't like this drink. Maybe I should've tried the regular matcha? The strawberry at the bottom was super good but the matcha was missing. I didn't taste the matcha at all which made me so sad. Cold brew (coconut) was good. It was my husband's drink so not too much feedback. Service was really good. The girl at the register was very welcoming, friendly and open to answer any questions I had. The overall feel of the shop definitely gave me coffee shop vibes which I love. It was kind of crowded in a Tuesday morning. Overall, I would come again to try their other drinks and just enjoy the ambiance. read more
