Incredible Coffee spot! Specializing in drip coffee with bold flavors. The staff were super friendly and we even got to spend a few minutes with the owner! A great spot to grab a quick drink or sit down and get some work done. relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. If you're ever in chinatown stop by this spot!
Was craving for match and I order a matcha from here service was great took a little longer than anticipated but the drink was nice and fresh enjoyed and killed my craving.
Come for the matcha, stay for the conversation pit. Yes, Drip Studio has a cool conversation pit (two of them actually) in the front of the cafe for you to sit and enjoy your drinks at. I love their matcha, I usually go for the strawberry matcha and I've also tried their hojicha. But this spot is called Drip studio because of their drip coffee. I love coffee and was amazed on how strong yet smooth the coffee is. It takes a little bit for them to make it, but the process is so cool to watch. This is one of those spots that I always run into someone I know. Plus, the staff here is just so friendly. If you're craving a coffee or matcha in Chinatown, definately check out Drip Studio.
I'm so glad I got to try here! I've worked at multiple coffee shops so I know a good share about coffee. Let me tell you, Drip has GOOD coffee. The beans they use tastes nutty and chocolaty, very different from other coffee places I've tried. I can see Drip is passionate in what they do and they were very friendly and shared their knowledge of what they know.
Delicious and such a relaxing way to spend an early Sunday morning! Friendly staff provides stellar customer service. I think I found another favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Pretty latte art is an extra bonus! Will be back again soon!
Now open on Sunday!!! Yes everyone you can now have your fix on Sundays which I'm so excited and know that parking is free around town which many know makes it even more of a reason to chill here but they do also validate for an hour at the building parking lot which is found in the back entrance and it's so fast and easy. I've actually have been here before they moved to this current location which is just as nice but bigger with more seating is very nice and fun as some of the seating you're actually in the window to show off your sip and relax lol! On this visit I came to complete my Matcha Map which was such a fun and experience I enjoyed with friends as it took us around various places that serves up some items that makes it uniquely their own. No different here as it's much more clean and simple as it's not overly sweet but flavors were definitely there. It was the classic Strawberry Matcha with Almond Milk it was a very elegant sip and since we had the validation I defiantly wanted to have it here which they do give it to you in a glass and omg what a stunning sip with the layers and finished with dusting of matcha and some dried strawberries...cheers! I paired it with a Gochujang Sugar Cookie that I couldn't resist that did have the perfect slight kick was delicious and that it was made in house as well was impressive. Love the various unique seating and merchandise of the matcha with accessories as well this place is definitely a great place to work or chill. Thank you very matcha!
Forever one of my favorites, and literally my favorite coffee shop on island! Everything is extremely high quality, they care about quality and precision vs. trends, and nothing is overly sweet which I love. This time I got the Americano which was SO good, the strawberry matcha which is by far my literally my favorite on island and has a good amount of strawberries! High-quality coffee, matcha, hojicha - they don't miss. Shoutout Vincent and Rod!!
Great local coffee shop ambiance with accommodations for larger parties of 6-8 as well. I got the strawberry matcha and it was rich and delightful. I tried the yogurt as well and it was so refreshing. The service was excellent with knowledgeable and kind staff!
Cute little coffee shop in downtown. The baristas were so nice and talked us through some of their pour overs. As black coffee lovers, this place does have tasty coffees. The cold brew had a very unique flavor but wasn't bitter or woody at all like some cold brews can be. The yogurt bowl was simple and tasty.
I loved the iced lavender latte with almond milk. It was so good that I went back a few days later for another one. Located downtown, great place if you live or work in the area and don't need parking. There's a self serve station to place your own orders. Then you get it from the counter once it's ready. Kinda felt like it lacked a personal or welcoming feel. No hi or goodbye or thank you or aloha.... But I guess it serves its purpose and good for people that don't want to have interaction. It has a bit of an artsy feel to it. Not sure what was there before, but it's a cool size and vibe for downtown. I will definitely come back when I'm in town again.
I came here with one other person for some quick coffee. It was pretty busy when we came in and had to wait for awhile to order and another while for our drinks. I just went with a pour over and the person I came with got their Americano. Both our drinks tasted really light. We both thought it was okay and nothing crazy good. It seemed like everyone else who came in got a matcha so that would be something I would like to come back and try. They also had some pastries too that looked good. The inside is cute and they have places to sit and hang out. The people working were also really nice and helpful. Parking was tough since we just did street parking.
Stopped by for morning caffeine here and parking was a bit tough! There is metered street parking or a nearby paid parking lot but it's still a little way away to walk to, and it's not visible from the main street so make sure to use your map! I've been seeing this spot on Instagram constantly and it was nearby so I wanted to check it out. I really enjoyed my strawberry matcha latte - it was one of my top drinks of the trip! It was perfect sweetness without overpowering the matcha flavor. Such a pretty but quality drink!!
What a great spot! Tucked in Chinatown, this spot uniquely positioned in between bustling shops When we arrived, the staff was friendly and warm. Making sure we didn't have any questions and giving us time to make our decision. One of the staff even gave us a free taster of one of their coffees. The vibe and feel of the shop is very cool. Loved the touches of cobalt blue! Loved stopping by this spot.
First time checking out Honolulu's Chinatown -- my New York instincts weren't too bothered, but my friend definitely clocked the suspicious presence. Let's just say the area had vibes. We made our way to Drip Studio, a sleek little café tucked among the chaos. I got their hojicha for $8. Yes, the cup was barely bigger than my palm, but the flavor was deep, nutty, and smooth -- clearly good quality. It's definitely on the pricey side for the size, but if you're craving a solid tea moment (and a bit of adventure), I'd say it's worth the stop. read more

We stumbled upon this place and the coffee and chai were fantastic! The ambiance is cute and cozy, the drinks are well made, and their customer service was if I lived here I would be a regular. I ordered a hot coffee (pour over), and my partner got a chai. Before leaving, I got a cold fashioned. All were very tasty and I'd order them again. read more
I ordered the iced hojicha latte and ham and cheese sandwich, and both were good. The latte had good nutty, roasted hojicha flavor and was so refreshing. I asked for it lightly sweetened and it was perfect! The ham and cheese sandwich was really tasty - the pickled onion and Dijon mustard added a nice bright flavor to it. The side salad was so so - it would've been great if it had more dressing. It came with feta cheese, chip crumbles, cucumber, and tomato - but it was kind of dry without much dressing The space itself is cute - they have these nice window seats looking into fort street mall so you can people watch. read more
The place has the best latte I ever had in my life. I visited this gem twice during my 4-day stay with my family. The matcha with mango puree is good, but the latte is Michelin level. Me and my cousin became regulars here, not just for the matcha/coffee but also the food, good customer service and the relaxing ambience! Our favorite things to order are their iced strawberry matcha lattes, avocado veggie bagel sandwich, and their mochi waffles. The avocado veggie bagel sandwich comes with your choice of either potato chips or a salad, it tastes amazing and the portion is so good. The mochi waffles with the syrup is also amazing, I'd recommend that for first timers!! I love to get my iced matcha lattes with soymilk and it's very smooth and great quality matcha. read more

I hadn't heard of Drip Studio before and came across it while downtown for work, looking for a caffeine fix. It's tucked between a few eateries on Fort Street Mall and I was drawn to the dark blue interior and sidewalk sign with the doggy doodle on it. Service was above and beyond. Staff kindly guided me through the menu before I ordered the lavender cold brew latte. There are a few tables and chairs inside, and I was told to enjoy and relax while I wait and my drink was brought to me even though I ordered takeout. I was pleasantly surprised by how well balanced the flavors were and appreciated the strong coffee flavor. If you order a flavored drink, make sure you mix it because the syrup might be sitting on the bottom. read more

Heard about their Cold Fashion from my brother. So I decided to give it a try... along with their Ice Strawberry Matcha and Vietnamese Coffee. It's a cute spot located in Fort Street Mall in Downtown, so you'll have to get street parking, be the passenger, or go before your office meeting. The Cold Fashion is good but not for me as I'm not into orange bitters. The Vietnamese coffee was good too but we had it hot and the lid wasn't on good so if we weren't paying close attention to it, it would've definitely left a burn and stain. Their Strawberry Matcha was worth this downtown adventure. I just might return for it. read more

I enjoyed the ham and cheese sandwich with added avocado- tasty and filling, a little pricey, but what isn't these days. We had a strawberry matcha and an oat chai. They were both delicious. Loved this coffee shop so much! I ordered a matcha (silk smooth from Kyoto) latte with lavender and rosemary! Freaking yum! My husband got the cold fashioned with cold foam and ahhh that one was amazing, too! The vibe was vibing and the baristas were quick. There's a sunken seating area towards the front when you walk in and there's tables + a bar to sit at. Everyone was nice and friendly. I'll definitely be going back!! read more
This coffee shop knows their flavors very well and they offer a variety of delicious ones. What stands out is how much they know the right amount of flavor and sweetness to put in their drinks. Iced Match Lavender Latte - very fresh, right amount of matcha and sweetness Iced Hojicha Strawberry Latte - Hojicha flavor isn't that strong because the strawberry flavor takes over slightly more. My weekly sweet treat. I've tried every variation of the matcha but the strawberry matcha is still my favorite. Easy to order online before I get to downtown, but also super fast if you order in-store. Staff is always friendly. Warning - I tried the new earl grey matcha and didn't sleep at all that night LOL. Yes more expensive than other options but I'll pay for a reliable matcha. Despite being a coffee fiend, I've yet to try the coffee because its so hard to find a consistent matcha! read more

Came to try some matcha around 1:30, which was 30 minutes until closing. Was really excited to try the strawberry matcha latte, however they ran out of strawberry, so I settled for the mango matcha latte. The mango matcha was good & the service was quick. The shop is in downtown so the only downside is that you'd need to pay for either street or lot parking. The shop itself is small and aesthetic. We were looking for a cool drink and happened to be in the area. Drip Studio is a small coffee shop, but there's enough seating to accommodate a good number of people. It was busy with a line out the door, but the staff moved quickly and were very friendly. They even took the time to chat with us while multitasking. I ordered the matcha with mango and really liked it--it wasn't too sweet, and the mango added a nice twist. My friends got the matcha strawberry and the iced chai, and both thought their drinks were refreshing. read more

The Drip studio in Honolulu is a hidden gem. The baristas were very friendly and welcoming. We were doing a staycation in town around the corner and gave this spot a try because it was within walking distance. The cappuccino and sandwich were very good. I got a side of potato chips and my husband got the salad. I regretted not getting the salad because it was very good. read more
Drip Studio is THE best coffee shop in Honolulu! My boyfriend and I are coffee snobs and we always visit a bunch of different coffee shops when we come to Oahu to visit (1x per year). I grew up on Oahu and back then, Drip Studio did not exist, but oh, Honolulu, you are so so lucky to have this amazing coffee shop. It is run by the most skilled, passionate, and friendly couple, and they put all of their heart and soul into their craft. Every time we went, we had a hard time choosing what to order because everything they make is incredible. You can't go wrong with any of the pour overs because that is how they started and they specialize in it. However, I also tried their strawberry matcha and my boyfriend tried their cold fashioned (has cold brew, but made like an old fashioned) and they were both SOOOO good and memorable. Not only is their coffee top notch in quality, but the way they prepare it is mesmerizing. They don't like to rush it because they are trying to prepare it with the most care and with the best technique. You can also do Japanese style pour overs, which is where they do the pour over directly over ice so that the flavor gets locked in. The food and pastries here are also really incredible. Definitely go early so that you can get the pastries before they are sold out. The coffee shop on Fort St. is not very large, so depending on the time of day, you might have a hard time finding a spot to sit to have your coffee, and it may be hard to work from there in case it's busy. I would recommend having a backup plan such that you can get the coffee to-go if they are busy. I heard they are planning on changing up the space, though, so maybe it will become bigger soon? The other thing awesome about this place is that you can buy the high quality coffees as beans from them, and you can buy equipment too. They did a great job of selecting items to sell for retail. You can just tell they put a ton of thought into it, and are not just selling whatever. If you want recommendations, they are also extremely passionate about telling you about the products they sell and will absolutely take the time to answer your questions. Overall, I am obsessed with this place and it is now one of my top 3 favorite coffee shops of all time, up there with the famous Onyx Coffee in Bentonville, AR and Loki Coffee in Salt Lake City, UT. read more

Tucked away in a pedestrian only area is a cute cafe serving up some of the best coffee and tea in the island! We were greeted immediately by when we walked up to the store and our order was taken quickly and accurately. We ordered the Iced Hojicha Latte, and Americano, and the Japanese Egg Toast. Everything was made to order and it did not disappoint! The shop is small, so I expect it's pretty full during busy hours, but when you go during off peak times, it's def not as bad. The coffee was delicious even without cream or sweetener and they did a really great job. The latte was full of the Hojicha tea flavor and delicious to the last sip. The toast was amazing - perfectly seasoned and the crisp on the sourdough toast was fantastic! Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu! read more
Refreshing beverage in Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii... I was next door getting some birria Queso tacos when I looked at reviews by Irene, Randy, Peter C., and Corina. My friends really liked this place, so I thought that I should give it a try. I'm glad that I did! Drip Studio is a cozy, friendly shop with a cute doggie mascot and efficient, pleasant service! The interior was nicely decorated with murals and merchandise. The vibe was lively with customers sitting at the bar while others sat at tables. I got an iced Tokyo Hojicha Latte to go. It helped me on my walk back to my car... because I wanted free parking... The flavor was subtly smokey and not bitter nor too sweet, but just right! read more
Great matcha! This is a cafe located in Fort Street Mall facing an office building, and it's a cozy little spot that has a wide variety of drink offerings. Parking can be a bit challenging; you can try to hunt for street parking or there's a municipal parking lot nearby. Seating is limited inside and outside as it's a small cafe. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte and it came out quickly. The baristas/servers were attentive and nice! I personally loved my drink; it's probably one of the stronger matcha drinks I've tried here and the strawberry puree at the bottom was a perfect complement to it. After seeing lots of recommendations for this place, my husband and I finally make our way to downtown. Located in fort street mall, I typically don't come here just because parking can be challenging. We parked at the Chinatown municipal building and we paid barely anything for parking. Good deal! Now arriving in the cafe, there's not many places to sit. We were able to scope out a table. One staff member greeted us and gave us a rundown of the menu plus some good recommendations. We decided to get one Hojicha latte and one matcha latte. The cafe is small but has a vibey homelike feel. I'm sure you could do work here but it's quite tight. Now for the drinks - probably one of my favorite Hojicha drinks on island. It's earthy and nutty in the best way possible. The matcha was also very smooth. My husband gulped it down so quickly that we had to get another drink to go. We tried the Hojicha strawberry to go and while it was good, we preferred the basic lattes. I even tried to buy the Hojicha powder but it sadly wasn't available. It's too bad this place isn't close to my home...actually it might be a good thing. I'll be back for more :) read more

My work recently moved to downtown Honolulu so naturally we've been exploring the coffee shops in the area. I've come to Drip a few times a week in the morning for a morning coffee. I wish I loved coffee more so I can't really speak to how good the selection is, but I do think this place would be a coffee lovers dream. The staff is really knowledgeable about the selection and I've heard them recommended brews to their customers while waiting for my order. As far as food goes, I've tried a few of their scones and cookies which seem to change each time I go. The mochi waffle was also very good and is one of their regular menu items. The staff are really attentive and immediately come up to you to take your order. There's also a cute doggy mascot who occasionally goes up each to say hi with their cute doggy eyes, possibly looking for some stray food lol. read more
My team took the walk to Fort Street Mall to try their new coffee shop. It was a very esthetic place. The Vietnamese coffee that the guys in our group got were not strong enough for them, as avid coffee drinkers and fans of Vietnamese coffee. I got the strawberry matcha latte and it was as good, but I didn't think the value was there for me. They were out of pastries and suggested that we come early in the morning if we wanted to try them but they have their menu items available regularly. We visited around 12pm. The service was great though. They were very knowledgeable and patient while we figured out what to order. Overall, I think it is a good spot for students or people that want that type of ambiance and the attached price tag. read more

Drip Studio moved to the new location right next to Yi Fang downtown. It's bigger and more seating area. Staffs are friendly and efficient. I ordered a cup of French Press through their website and it's ready when I arrived the cafe. The coffee was kinda strong but the bean has a slightly sour flavor which I don't like it. I might go back again to try their signature drinks. read more
