Update (okay not an update because it's the same as my last review): Drip Studio continues to be fantastic. I'm there literally every single morning, 6 days a week (it would be 7 if they were open on Sundays!). I've become a pourover girlie - Jazz Fruits is my typical go-to, but if they happen to have Milky Cake or Blueberry Blues, I'm going with that! I've developed a much more discerning palate and appreciation for coffee, especially with Vince (owner) educating me on flavor profiles, coffee roasting and processing, even giving me a taste of some coffees to demonstrate the differences. Drip Studio is for the true coffee enjoyer. Highly recommend giving Drip Studio a try. Definitely pick up a baked good (my fave is the carrot cake) or sandwich while you're at it. I don't even know where to begin here because this place is actually beyond expectations! I had actually stayed near downtown a few times and read about this place, but never had a chance to come by until my last trip. Drip studio, as it sounds, makes primarily drip coffee. This would be pour overs or cold brews which do require a level of detail oriented craft that not many coffee shops have. On top of that, they make some amazing specialty coffee versions such as their coconut Vietnamese coffee, and other flavors which I didn't get to try but the set up was stellar. I love my pour overs, so this was my spot, but it was incredible that they managed to make me love a cold brew/cold coffee as I love my hot pour overs even on a 90 degree day. Drip Studio Hnl opened about 3 months on Fort Street Mall. Co owners Vincent and Kelsey partnered opening a cozy cool coffee studio highlighting dripped coffee and homemade baked goods. During this visit I ordered the cold fashion. The foam was mixed with nitric oxide making it a little thick. I like drinking it half and eventually mixing the foam in with the remainder of the drink. For those that are on the go, they do offer batch coffee. There is seating inside or out. The a/c is cold so I prefer inside and at the counter to chat with Vincent. Service is 5 stars. read more

I like my coffee just like my whisky. Cold, strong, and smooth. Tried the Japanese iced coffee and was very impressed with how darn smooth it was, but still strong. It's not a watered down iced coffee. This will wake you up. They have an outside order window and a very small seating area, but it's pretty neat. They used every bit of space they got. The scones were good too and not super dense. The standout was definitely the carrot cake because the frosting on top was A+. If you go Drip Studio, definitely get their coconut cold brew. I got their DAK - Blueberry Boom (hot), and my mom got their iced coffee with the DAK - Green Apple, and both were delicious in their own way. The Blueberry Boom is definitely funky due to the processing, but I enjoyed it as the blueberry profile was highlighted. The iced Green Apple was very refreshing and tasted similarly to a green apple Jolly Rancher, just not so artificially tasting, if you know what I mean. If you care about the brewing vessels, they used an origami dripper for the pour-overs. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I'd return when visiting Oahu. read more

I had the opportunity to live on Oahu for a year and had a long, difficult search for it acceptable coffee shops that provided stellar pour overs. There are only three coffee shops that met these parameters in the vast array of coffee places that continued to fall short or disappoint. Came here for a drink to start our day after looking at many cafes in the area. The tiny shop is located in Chinatown. There is an adorable dog sitting at the front of the store, greeting guests and laying around. The baristas are easy to talk to. My friend got a pour over at the recommendation of the cashier, and I went with a Cold Fashioned, their take on the cocktail with maple syrup, orange bitters, housemade cold brew and added the highly-recommended foam. Wow, the Cold Fashioned was delicious! I kind of want orange bitters in all my drinks now. It smelled divine and was the perfect pick-me-up for the morning. The foam really brings the drink together too. My friend said the barista's recommendation was "perfect" although I'm not a huge black coffee person. Drip Studio has been our "go to" coffee shop when we go strolling with our dog in downtown in the early A.M. The current location is a small, cozy shop. It has two 2-top tables, maybe a 3 seater counter on the side and another 3 seater counter on the other side, and in the front side maybe another 3 seat counter space. Although, all those counter seats are quite tight lol. The service...from the moment you walk in till you get your order...awesome! so friendly, so helpful, and so patient. I personally only tried 2 coffee drinks there and my favorite is the cold fashioned with the maple cold foam so far. I still want to try the other drinks they have. Their sandwiches are really good. I like their avocado veggie sammie. very tasty and it comes with chips or salad. if you want to sit and dine there, I'd recommend to go early like right before they open because they have their regular customers and it gets busy. They will closed from DEC 22, 2024 till sometime in January 2025 because they're moving, yet still in downtown in the same area. so follow them on IG! read more
