By raising canes by UH! First time I tried this place, my sister actually got me one for me. Except she ordered oat milk (because we're lactose intolerant lol), big mistake. Very unpleasant. However, I knew that I couldn't judge based on a subbed ingredient so I've been meaning to stop by. I actually was so pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the basic matcha latte and the honeydew double matcha smoothie. You can actually taste the matcha ! Not too weak or too much milk. The basic level of sweetness here is the 50%. You can definitely taste good matcha, but I'm addicted to sugar so I got 100% and yummm. The honeydew double matcha smoothie was very strong in the honeydew flavor, yet did not completely overpower the matcha. Very spacious interior, quiet, lots of seats. My only issue is just the price, pretty small drinks for about $10... it's definitely good to try though! Service was quick, they also have bags and cup holders if needed. Can't do no ice, I asked and they said they use the ice to measure. I wasn't drinking it right away so I didn't want to have my latte watered down, but what can you do. It's good ice though haha.

We love Maruwu Seicha in Waikiki, so we were excited to hear they opened another location in Moiliʻili! We came probably around the first or second week after it opened, so the line was pretty long on a Sunday afternoon. I do like how spacious this location is with plenty of seating available, especially since the Waikiki location doesn't offer that. I ordered a regular matcha latte with a snow top, while my boyfriend got the matcha gelato parfait. My matcha latte was just ok. I felt like the matcha flavor wasn't quite strong enough, and I thought it tasted better at the Waikiki location. The snow top may have made it a little more milky than usual, which could've made the matcha taste more subtle. It wasn't bad, just not as strong as I would like it to be. My boyfriend really enjoyed his matcha gelato, though! I think I still prefer the Waikiki location since it's less crowded and you don't have to wait as long. That said, this location is still fairly new, so they may just need some time to get everything running more smoothly and make the drinks more consistent.

Maruwu Seicha is such a cute matcha spot with a super aesthetic interior! They have a great variety on the menu, and the matcha was perfectly strong, creamy, and flavorful. The staff was also really efficient with taking and making orders, so even though it was busy, everything moved pretty quickly. The space was very clean and spacious too, making it such a nice place to grab a matcha and hang out!

Wow! When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the decor. The shop was so nicely furnished. I love the modern look with wood tables. We got the Hokkaido Cheese Tart $4.50, Soy Milk Pudding Matcha Parfait $8.90 and an Iced Matcha Latte Okinawa Boba large $9.50 with oat milk + $1.00. The matcha parfait was delicious. I loved the soy milk pudding with matcha gelato and matcha kinako warabi mochi. The mochi was so soft and tasty. The cheese tart was also very good. It had a soft cream cheese center. I wasn't feeling the matcha latte. For some reason they made it half sweet. I couldn't taste the sweetness at all. The next time I'll be sure to ask for it to be 100% sweet. The matcha was smooth and I could tell that it was high quality matcha. The color of the matcha was a vibrant emerald green and there was no bitterness. I highly recommend the Soy Milk Pudding Matcha Parfait.

Maruwu Seicha Moili'ili is conveniently located near University, and the second store following the flagship store in Waikiki. This was my first time trying this place, and despite being open for a few months now, it's still so popular that it frequently runs out of items. They also stop making drinks 15 minutes to closing, so we couldn't order anything aside the gelato which ran out of their popular matcha no. 3 flavor. I was somewhat disappointed that even though we came before closing, they weren't accommodating to paying customers and allowed them to have access to their menu choices. I had what little they had left of the matcha no. 3, along with pistachio matcha and the Hokkaido milk. Out of the 3, the no. 3 was the best. I expected more from the Hokkaido milk vanilla, wishing it to be rich and creamy like the real vanilla ice cream from that province, but it was okay at best and left more to be desired. Overall, I was a bit disappointed of the lack of choices and what I ended up trying; I am hoping to go again soon earlier during the day so I can try more of their signature matcha gelato and drinks.

New favorite cafe alert!! This location opening right by the university was like a blessing from heaven. I was in desperate search of a beautiful cafe with fast wifi. I've been here like nearly everyday for the past few weeks. The tiny complaint I have is they don't have that many outlets. But, the matcha was great. Tried the gelato and personally it wasn't my favorite. I do not recommend the ube matcha latte though, prettty grainy.

07/19/2026 and 07/23/26. This review is for my second and third visit here at Maruwu Seicha Moili'ili. A perfect place to relax and have a fantastic matcha customized drink here. On 07/19/26 I tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte, half sweet, with almond milk and Matcha soft serve of Pistachio gelato! 5/5 stars here! Smooth and delicious combination. Please try this combination. On 07/23/26- I selected a Yuzu Matcha Soda with Crystal boba. It's an "Exclusive in Hawaii" drink. 4/5 stars. It's definitely a strong Matcha and Yuzu flavored drink. I could have easily watered it down with more ice. I drank this refreshing beverage slowly to let the ice melt. Service is 4.5 stars here. The trash can was full today 07/23/26 and the unisex bathroom was unclean. I think this place is very busy. Hopefully, a clean up routine will be established soon. Lots of table space indoors and outdoors. Great for students, online workers and everyone who wants a place to chat, chill out or get work done. Free parking in the building.

I had to check out this place since Nadine, Irene and Jackie gave this establishment 5 Stars . New trendy spot I guess located next door to Jersey Mikes and Raising Cain. Ground floor of the UH Hale Mahana apartments. I just stopped to try their cheesecake tart and it was well worth it . Very light not too sweet and creamy cheesecake taste. They also sell UBE along with Matcha . Personally I'm not a Matcha guy so I decided to pick up 3 cheesecake tarts to take home . Service was fast and friendly this place should do well since you have all the UH students right above the shop . I guess the trick is to go on a Sunday which metered parking is free . I can imagine since this place has a limited parking situation it will be very hard to find parking M-Sat. Support local

Came here last week to see what all the buzz was about, since they opened two locations rather recently. Parking is free and easy in the structure located around the side of the complex. The interior is brightly lit and designed in a trendy way. We ordered an Ube matcha latte and the parfait. The matcha latte itself had good matcha flavor and wasn't too sweet. I was extremely disappointed by the parfait which looked like a kiddy cup of soy milk gelato and soy jelly with miniscule amounts of other little accoutrements. The soy flavored dessert elements were mediocre. The best thing about that kiddy cup sized parfait was the matcha no. 3 gelato, which I would get separately. I mean, it's a nice franchise and this location is great for university students who want a quick matcha and sit to study there. The desserts are not impressive. Their tarts are laughably small, too, and did not look appetizing. I don't think I'd go out of my way to have this again though.

Honeydew Double Matcha Smoothie - whole milk. Really refreshing. A seasonal special beverage. Everything I've tried at Maruwu Seicha in Mo'ili'ili and Waikiki...is like a Shohei Ohtani homerun. Outside seating is now available.

Amazing matcha! I got the matcha latte with the snow top and 100% recommend the snow top. It's a layer of cream cold foam that makes such a big difference! There's free parking inside the structure, and there were a lot of people studying/working when I went. It's a lot bigger inside than I thought- there's a lot of seating and space. Aside from matcha, they have a few tarts for sale but not much in the way of real food. Overall would come back!

Love this place! I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and it was so good! You can customize the sweetness level to your liking and the drink had the perfect matcha level. I don't like it when the drink tastes too milky and this had a great matcha taste. The cafe itself is super cute and had a decent amount of seating. It's located in the same building as raising canes and there is customer parking in the parking garage behind the shops.

Refreshments in Honolulu, Hawaii... *Free covered parking *Clean, spacious, pleasant, bright interior *Convenient restroom *Efficient, friendly service *Quality products These are the most important components of a five-star experience for me. Add-ons for an excellent visit include comfortable indoor and outdoor dining areas, charging ports for customers, decorative lighting, appropriate decor, etc. Maruwu Seicha Moili'ili has it all! The soft serve was fresh and smooth! The parfait was beautiful and delicious! The yuzu matcha soda (Hawaii exclusive) was healthy and intense! Thank you, Irene, for suggesting that we meet here! Thank you, Cece, for a fabulous foodie adventure!

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
