Strawberry matcha that was doordashed.
Vina P.

The beach walk has very limited street parking. There is paid parking close by if you're willing to walk over. The service was quick and prompt. It's a cute little place where you can order drinks and be on your way. Due to the small space there is limited seating. The matcha drinks are amazing. They do offer alternative milks if you're seeking a drink that is dairy free. I like the regular matcha drinks and the strawberry matcha the best! It's not too sweet and has an excellent matcha taste.

I tried the Hawaii exclusive Yuzu Matcha soda and it was pretty alright. I think the jellies in the drink didn't do it for me. I think I'd prefer it without the jellies. I Just wanted something that wasn't a latte. Really wanted to try their Hokkaido soft serve but their machine was down :(. I want to come back and try their Hokkaido soft serve swirl and matcha lattes next time! Definitely a bit hard to find as it's kind of near the backroads of Waikiki, but nestled in a quiet corner that is nice because it's very much away from the usual hustle and bustle of the main Waikiki strip. Service was quick and helpful.

One of the few BEST MATCHA locations I've found in Oahu by far! My brother and I temporary parked our car in the small road right in-front of the shop and turned on our blinker lights (most people do it and it's totally fine haha) Fresh ingredients and tasted authentic. We got Strawberry Matcha latte with Matcha soft serve and Hojicha Latte with Hokkaido soft serve. (Got too excited to try it and forgot to take a photo) So delicious!!! The matcha soft serve was SO satisfying and really hit the spot when you want that *rich* matcha flavor. The Hojicha latte was rich and more on the strong side, like a Vietnamese coffee type of "strong". Amazing! A hidden gem! Friendly+Helpful staffs! Can't wait to try more of their selections like the Matcha soda and the flavored cheese tarts!

Went there on Sunday, found out they have new item - pistachio matcha latte, I gave it a try. No regret, it's sooooo good! Black Sesame Hojicha - 10/10 - must try, very strong black sesame flavor and you can adjust the sweetness. Matcha Latte - 10/10 - very strong matcha flavor Pistachio Matcha Latte - 10/10 - strong Matcha and nutty flavor. You can also adjust the sweetness. Ube Matcha Latte - 10/10 - not over sweetness and love the ube flavor Everything is good! I love it! Must try!

Hokkaido Milk Soft Serve ($7.50 as of 3/2026)

Cute place that might be a little hard to find if you're not using something like Google or Apple Maps. Easier to spot when you're heading down the same street it's on due to the huge green soft serve cone on display- also makes for a good photo ops with your drink and/soft serve! There's only one chair located inside, and the shop itself is really small so this is more of a takeout shop. The menu is a little smaller compared to cafes I'm used to going to, but it looks like they are more focused on making matcha drinks which makes sense since that's what they're known for. So... I ended up getting their Hokkaido soft serve in a cup (they ran out of cones) but that's mostly because my friends like matcha a lot while I've never been a fan. In terms of how the Hokkaido soft serve tasted though, it was like tasting a sweet but not sweet ice cream version of condensed milk if that makes any sense. It was $7.50 so it was a little pricy for what it was but they did give a good amount of soft serve!

Maruwu Seicha is a bit off the beaten path and in a nice quiet corner on Beach Walk. The store front is super cute. There's only a small counter that maybe 3 people can sit at. Other than that it's grab and go. They offer a lot of matcha drinks here and I like how they have soft serve too. I also tried their tarts and they ended up being my favorite thing from here! Out of the Ube, Matcha, and Hokkaido the Ube was my favorite. I could probably eat multiple in one sitting. I definitely recommend trying this spot out and definitely don't pass on the desserts.

I tried this place in NorCal, but it was already right across the street from where we were having dinner (Ginza Bairin), so why not! It's extremely close by. Walking up to the front, you can't really notice it off the bat, but the sign on the store helps with finding it. I went ahead and tried the mango matcha latte, which was exclusively here in Hawaii. We also got the Yuzu Matcha Soda, but my bf sister didn't really like it lol. I didn't get to try it, but she said it was too much Yuzu flavor. She did say it grew on her the longer she kept it on her hand and just sipping it. The mango matcha latte however, was really nice! The mango was really fresh, matcha was quite creamy and rich. I really enjoyed it! I just had to try a Hawaii exclusive here. The store itself is very small, it's basically only suitable for to-go drinks. Not much of a cafe, so no sitting around.

Lots of matcha places have been popping up and this was on my list for a while. It is located in Waikiki, near Longs and Hard Rock Cafe. There's limited street parking, I was lucky to find one on a Sunday afternoon. Otherwise, you'll have to choose one of the surrounding parking garages. It is a fairly tiny shop, I was also lucky to go when there was no line, but after I ordered my drink, a whole rush of people were behind me. I ordered a matcha latte with snow top and oat milk, and a hojicha latte with whole milk. Both were delicious! The matcha latte was very refreshing and had a strong matcha flavor. They only have one size, but I wish they had a larger size cause I finished it so fast! I also loved the hojicha latte! Very strong hojicha flavor. Would definitely go back to try their other flavors!

Hawaiian Ube Matcha Latte

Felt like I found a hidden gem that fulfilled my matcha craving! First time I have really liked Ube too! Service was quick and place is clean. There are a few tall chairs with a counter to sit at. Otherwise you can just get your drink and walk around the area.

10/10!!!! Best matcha I've tasted! So smooth! I got their ube matcha and wow perfection! You can taste the matcha taste & the ube was so beautifully blended with the drink. Not too sweet but just right. They are located on the beach walk close to Hard Rock Cafe. They are inside a walkway so it's easy to miss. Parking is street parking. The workers were so nice and friendly. They made my matcha so quick! No more than 2 min of waiting! Wow! lol I will definitely go back & try their matcha with Hokkaido milk

It's easy to miss Maruwu Seicha, look for the large "260 Beachwalk" sign, head inside, and turn right. You'll then see the actual Maruwu signage. Parking can be tricky, so my husband dropped me off while he circled the block to find a spot. The photo of the ube matcha latte max topped with cloud foam immediately caught my attention. But when it rang up to nearly $10, I definitely did a double take. You can really taste the ube sweet potato, and it feels more like a dessert than a traditional matcha drink. It was tasty, but the price is pretty steep for just one beverage. I'd say it's worth trying once, especially while you're in Hawaii, but probably not something I'd return to.

MATCHA LATTE + HOKKAIDO SOFT SERVE ($9.90)
Kimmy L.

Maruwu Seicha is one of Waikiki's newest matcha spots. It is difficult to find (even using Google maps). You have to walk inside of the Waikiki Heritage Hotel entry to find it. As a matchaholic, I was super excited to try Maruwu and made sure to add it to my bucket list while I was in Waikiki in January. Maruwu has an extensive matcha menu ranging from your typical matcha latte to matcha americanos and ube matcha lattes to matcha softserve. They also had matcha and hokkaido cheese tarts listed as coming soon. Prices are high with your no frill iced matcha latte coming in at $7.90 plus tax and tip. I ordered the MATCHA LATTE + HOKKAIDO SOFT SERVE ($9.90) as I wanted to try the best of all worlds and saw it featured on an Instagram reel. My brother ordered a MATCHA + HOKKAIDO SOFT SERVE ($7.50). Our total came out to over $20 for the both of us which is definitely on the pricey side for a couple of sweet treats. The quality of the matcha in the MATCHA LATTE was very good and you could tell that they use premium powder based on the dark green color and earthy taste. It was not astringent at all and I ordered the drink with half sweetness. The HOKKAIDO SOFT SERVE was smooth, lightly sweet, and refreshing. While I could adjust the sweetness of the drink, the ice levels were preset and I admit that 2/3 of my cup was just ice (see picture and hence the 3 stars). For a $10 drink, I just didn't think I got my money's worth and would rather go to Junbi down the street instead where I can get a 20-oz cup with no or less ice for the same price. The MATCHA + HOKKAIDO SOFT SERVE was good, but the matcha soft serve was nowhere nearly as concentrated as Nana's Green Tea's matcha soft serve (also down the street in Stix). As a matchaholic, I prefer my matcha soft serve stronger. The interior and exterior are beautifully designed and very aesthetic. It looks like a cafe you would come across in Japan. There is no seating though and so you have to take it to go and consume it while you walk around Waikiki. Service was decent and they had our drinks ready within 5 minutes or less (granted there was no one else in line). While Maruwu was good to try at least once, I think I'll be looking for other matcha spots to try on the island next time that give you more matcha for your money. Overall: 3/5 for matcha, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

Cute little match spot tucked inside the Waikiki Heritage Hotel near their check in area. The match is super high quality and both cashiers/ servers I encountered were nice. I had the strawberry matcha, and will be returning to try their ube one soon!

Ohhh sooo good! Mango matcha latte, Strawberry matcha latte and matcha soft serve goodness

Please be patient with the help as well because most of the time it is just them trying to handle the huge barrage of people waiting in line as well as dine-in customers. Three staff members present and not one offered so much as an aloha or hello. For a local, "Hawai'i based business", the complete absence of aloha was jarring. I came ready to try all kinds stuff, especially matcha, but only ended up only smelling it, because the energy in that room made it clear my presence as a Black man wasn't wanted or needed. If business is going so well that customer service is optional, congratulations. But for the rest of us who show up hoping to feel welcome for overspending on your match and ice cream, especially in a place that's supposed to represent the spirit of these islands -- this wasn't it. This is clearly one of those places that feel like they're too good to serve you if you're not meeting their aesthetic. Yeah, very Beverly Hills (attempt, but likely wouldn't do well there), kinda "clicky" like vibe, snooty, haughty seeming like vibe, maybe a lil tad bit stuck up, and for the tiny little portion and "big show" , I probably would have liked it somewhat, but also would have felt guilty for paying a fortune to be treated that way lol This place likely won't be around in a year, by the vibe I'd say it's slow times (wonder why). I know I will, happy to spend even more down the road- so many to choose from, trust me this place ain't unique in my experience. In these times, be kind to yourself, and love yourself enough to go where you're treated best, people.

Their guidance from online ordering to communication over the phone and text, they made our event successful and memorable. There was 5 of us , with a moderate appetite. So, We went with two orders of the "Catering - Sandwiches TO GO" and one order of the "Catering - Scones TO GO". Then our choice of their teas: 1oz Sakura Cherry Rose and 1oz of their Cookies and Cream, which is great with milk and sugar btw. 1oz =at least 12 pours of the tea. If you want 2oz =24 pours of tea. The sandwiches were also delicious, a cute tiny bite of flavor. Which to this day I wish I ordered more since I'm more of a savory girlie. You can choose the sandwiches from their catering or seasonal menu and it comes in 4 pieces. We ordered: Sandwich flavors 24 pieces 1 Sweet egg salad (4) 1 Smoked Salmon with Dill Creme (4) 1 Nutella & Strawberry (4) 1 roasted veggies & hummus (4) 1 Crab & Cheese (4) 1 Cucumber & Avocado (4) My personal Favorites were the Smoked Salmon with Dill Crème and Roasted veggies & Hummus. The scones only available flavors were vanilla bean & earl grey and it also comes with potted cream and jam packed in a to-go cup. If you decide to host a little tea party with your girlfriends, I highly recommend trying them out.

She is not a big eater, so the amount of food was more than enough for her. Normally, she can be a picky eater, but maybe the uniqueness and specialness of the place and occasion encouraged her to be open-minded to new things -- and she genuinely enjoyed everything she tried. Staff was especially welcoming and friendly. Located in Chinatown (Nuuanu street) so parking can be a hassle. If you're lucky, you might find street parking. Otherwise, there are a couple municipal parking lots nearby.
