This is for my catering experience with Tea at 1024. For Galentines, me and my girlfriends decided to take the experience to us. The ordering process was easy thanks to their amazing staff. Their guidance from online ordering to communication over the phone and text, they made our event successful and memorable. There was 5 of us , with a moderate appetite. So, We went with two orders of the "Catering - Sandwiches TO GO" and one order of the "Catering - Scones TO GO". Then our choice of their teas: 1oz Sakura Cherry Rose and 1oz of their Cookies and Cream, which is great with milk and sugar btw. 1oz =at least 12 pours of the tea. If you want 2oz =24 pours of tea. The sandwiches were also delicious, a cute tiny bite of flavor. Which to this day I wish I ordered more since I'm more of a savory girlie. You can choose the sandwiches from their catering or seasonal menu and it comes in 4 pieces. We ordered: Sandwich flavors 24 pieces 1 Sweet egg salad (4) 1 Smoked Salmon with Dill Creme (4) 1 Nutella & Strawberry (4) 1 roasted veggies & hummus (4) 1 Crab & Cheese (4) 1 Cucumber & Avocado (4) My personal Favorites were the Smoked Salmon with Dill Crème and Roasted veggies & Hummus. The scones only available flavors were vanilla bean & earl grey and it also comes with potted cream and jam packed in a to-go cup. I was finally able to try this place due to an invite from a friend of mine who wanted high tea service! Parking is always difficult in Chinatown but we both scored meter parking on Nuuanu St not too far from 1024. Walked in and was pleasantly surprised by how cute and kitschy the place looked! There was a group of 3 adorable little girls being patiently taught by a parent how to sip their tea and enjoy the courses. They were dressed like princesses with tiaras and I loved that this place created that type of atmosphere. I wish I had dressed up more! You get to choose your own tea cup and matching plate from various areas and chose one tea that they will refill throughout the tea service. I opted for the Buckingham Palace (Earl Grey and rose?) I think. Would love to try their pu'erh tea options next time! The lunch menu for afternoon tea is so reasonably priced and starts with a salad, two flavors of scones with sweetened clotted cream and a strawberry jam, then 6 finger sandwiches and 3 dessert bites. I will say that the food was a relatively even hit or miss on taste but I did prefer the savory sandwiches to the final dessert options. It's heavy on the carbs but that's afternoon tea for you! My teenage daughter and their friends love this place. They have been here a few times for different occasions, like birthdays. Each time was a very nice experience. Unlike coffee shops, where food and drinks are purchased a la carte, tea service here is a set menu of tea, salad, sandwiches, scones and sweets. The menu can be modified for vegetarians, gluten free, etc. Of course, there's a wide selection of teas to choose from. My daughter's favorite is the sakura cherry rose. She is not a big eater, so the amount of food was more than enough for her. Normally, she can be a picky eater, but maybe the uniqueness and specialness of the place and occasion encouraged her to be open-minded to new things -- and she genuinely enjoyed everything she tried. Staff was especially welcoming and friendly. Located in Chinatown (Nuuanu street) so parking can be a hassle. If you're lucky, you might find street parking. Located in Chinatown on Nuuanu Avenue next to O'Kims, Tea at 1024 is a good place for those looking for a cozy, relaxing and homey afternoon tea. If you're lucky you can find street parking, if not you can park in one of the many paid parking structures and open lots around the area. You can make reservations by going to their website and selecting their Afternoon Tea or one of their food alternatives such as Vegetarian, Pescatarian or Vegan Afternoon Tea. They also have catering and To-Go Box Sets. The time limit is 2 hours. When you walk in, you are greeted and brought to your table. The interior is homey with light pink walls, pink chairs and walls lined with china and tea sets. It was cool and air conditioned as well. Our server explained our Afternoon Tea Service and we got to choose from their selection of tea cups. They have a variety of tea options and flavors that range in caffeine level from Black Tea to Herbal Teas. You also have the option to add milk, honey or sugar. I chose the Sencha Cherry Rose Green Tea. It had a mild Green Tea flavor with a hint of rose. You have your own tea pot and our server refilled my pot with hot water for refills. They brought out a salad for our starter and a basket with two types of scones along with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The scones were okay, dense and a little dry. The jam and clotted cream helped. The final part of the tea service was brought out onto 2 plates, one with a selection of finger sandwiches and one with a variety of desserts. They had a good selection of sandwich options such as egg salad, cucumber and pesto, curry chicken with apple, tuna salad and smoked salmon. My favorites were the smoked salmon and cucumber pesto. For the desserts we were given a berry parfait, sugar cookie and chocolate cake. The desserts were simple, nothing too special, but satisfied my sweets craving. Overall it's a good place for those wanting to be introduced to a traditional afternoon tea service. Since it's in Chinatown I was hesitant, but we booked the first morning appointment at 10:45am and it was perfect. The 2 hour time limit is generous, the price was reasonable and it's a good way to sit down and spend time with friends. Tea for 2 please! Yelp BFF and I experienced casual afternoon tea in London and that's exactly what I wanted for my birthday. Upon arrival, you're warmly welcomed and have a chance to look around at all the cute little trinkets. We got to choose our tea cups amongst a large assortment. I opted for a pink rosy one. We were then ushered to the prime window seating area to review the selection of tea. I got a strawberry green tea and BFF got a watermelon oolong. Tea for 2 comes with a salad, scones, finger sandwiches and an assortment of dessert. The berry salad with vinaigrette topped with feta was a great way to start the meal. We received an ube scone and cinnamon scone each, which came with strawberry jam and clotted cream. My favorite finger sandwiches is between the smoked salmon and avocado sandwich. The desserts were ok (a little dry imo). I did receive a birthday cupcake/brownie dusted in pink glitter. It was such a magical experience and a great way to celebrate my birthday! Tea time with the ladies This was my 1st tea experience. It was nice. A reservation was made online, with one of our group gluten free. Parking on Sunday, meters are free, or the Chinatown Gateway Plaza (entrance on Bethel) is very inexpensive for the 2 hour block of tea time. They send info about parking in advance, which was nice. Upon arrival, they have you pick out your teacup and saucer. The tea list is comprised of a big selection, several levels of caffeine, and non tea options are available. They prepare food items, and for our reservation, we had lunch (brunch type). This included, salad, scones, sandwiches with the crusts removed, and desserts. Each person picked their tea and received a small teapot. It was refilled with hot water midway through the timeframe. Service was excellent and they explained the teas and all the treats served. The dining experience was nice. There were mostly ladies in the venue, and a small family with their daughter. Some people wore hats and most people had dresses. There were items for sale inside. Let me start off by mentioning I'm gluten free and the menu that is posted was not what I received. We had made reservations about a month ago and we had 10 people in our party. At that time they were told there was one gluten free person. I was clearly an after thought as everything that was given to me was nothing like the menu. I received an egg salad sandwich, 2 peanut butter and jelly, a bite size wrap with avocado and a slice of bread with seasoned diced tomatoes. For the amount of money I paid, which was more because I was gluten free it was not worth it. Honestly, if you have any dietary restrictions I would not go there since you pay extra. And you're not given the same value as your friends. The place is cute, but, larger parties will find that the way the tables are setup a little difficult to move around, and that includes the server having the same issue. We were promptly greeted when we got in and was able to look around the place before going to our seats. There are so much fun little things to look at and purchase! They have a lot of seating for different group sizes. After looking around we got to choose our tea cup from a wide variety of choices. They had small ones and large ones, tall and short in all sorts of colors and characters. After being seated we were explained what the service was going to be like. Each person got to pick their own tea flavor. As the dishes came out the server was really good at explaining what each of the sandwiches were as well as the desserts. Every time I have tea here whether it is with friends or if it is by myself I am always amazed at how terrific the service is here. With their menu now having a seasonal rotations I am constantly in for a delightful surprise. I was last there during the Christmas Menu. My favorite sandwich there is hands down the Smoked Salmon but that Roast Beef Crostini was fantastic. As it was Christmas I was there when everything had the cutest Christmas Trees. Even though the setting is really quite intimate and close and can at times get loud you do not really feel that when you're seated at your table. I had such high hopes for this place I hesitated writing this because I don't like writing negative reviews for small businesses. I've been wanting to come back here for a while. I made a res in advance but opted to pay at the restaurant Our reservation was at 11:30a and I arrived around 11:25a with my son. My friend who met me there came around 11:35a. From the time we arrived to the time my friend came, no one greeted us. I saw workers in the back room walking into a back area (I'm guessing the kitchen) but no greetings or anything said to us at all. Since there were people coming into the restaurant behind us for another party that was already seated, we walked closer into the tea room because it was so cramped. As I got to the back room, I saw one table with 4 table settings. The girls working saw us yet still said nothing. So to get out of the walkway, we sat down. After we sat, the workers walked past our tables and still said NOTHING to us ! It was almost funny at that point and super awkward. I finally flagged a girl down and explained the situation and that we had a reservation and sat down prematurely to get out of the party's way behind us and she just said ok and that she had to get a notebook to take our orders. From there, we got served our teas, food, etc. my son has an egg allergy and was just brought a small piece of Nutella and strawberry sandwich. His fruit was still served w some type of cream. I wanted to ask if it was whipped cream or something else but at that point we were just over the service. No one checked on us or followed up so I just wiped the cream off of his fruits and we just carried on. Overall the teas were okay. Most of the cups were chipped. The sandwiches were mid-good, desserts also mid-good. My son was still hungry afterward though which was unfortunate for how much I paid per person. I also told the person I reserved with that we were celebrating our birthdays and that they would do something special (a dessert) but I had to remind our waitress as she was bringing out the check. We celebrated our friends bday here, she loves this place and always goes here for High Tea. It was a handful of us mom friends in our high tea outfits, it was so cute. Especially if your a Bridgerton fan like us. It was my first time here and it was a pleasant and intimate experience. Tea 1024 has been on my list for some time. I had some friends coming into town and took the opportunity to go which was a real treat. Make sure you reserve ahead of time on their website. They are closed on Sunday and Tuesday, so take that into consideration when booking. I think the price was well worth the experience that be paid. Parking can be a little bit tricky since it is in Chinatown. There may be a lot of metered street parking options, but do keep note of how long your spot is allocated for. The tea options are expansive and you each get a pot of tea with diligent hot water refills. We each got a different type (black/white/herbal) which was great because we each got to try something different. The sandwiches and dessert were not as good as they could have been. They were very aesthetically pleasing, but did not have much flavor to them. I think everything was a little bit heavy and overly creamy. The amount that was given was definitely a good portion size, though for everyone at the table. The salad was my favorite as well as the scones. A cute little shop with cute decor and cute cups you get to choose from for your service. Reservations are highly recommended, and must be paid in full if your reservation is accepted. Whoever works the phones was super helpful and patient with answering my questions. Got 2 gluten free and 2 standard sets. Good food all around. Tea service comes with a salad served in a tea cup, 6 finger sandwiches, 3 desserts, and 1 choice of tea per person. We each ordered a different tea since they have such a wide variety of loose leaf to choose from. The cucumber kimchi sandwich is such a good twist on a classic tea sandwich. They also have clotted cream to go with the scones. The scones themselves were buttery and dense, and the lavender scone wasn't perfumey with the level of lavender in it. Located in downtown Honolulu, in Chinatown actually is Tea at 1024. They have been in this location FOREVER!!! Depending on when you go, you can park on the streets or there are municipal parking lots in close proximity. At this time, they are on their summer menu (very delightful and refreshing) and keep in mind the menu changes like seasons. They also offer 3 types of teas (black, green and white) and by request you may find some herbal teas. They also offer a vegan menu on request. Brought my daughter to her first tea time as a mommy and daughter day date. She was so excited to come here. This was my 4th time here, and as usual, I loved it. Once we arrived, the host seated us at the window where there were cute chairs, it was secluded, and decorated with cuteness! The menu & place settings were already set, so we were given a few minutes to look over the menu. I got strawberry green tea and my daughter got hot cocoa. The drinks came fast and it was delicious! Every table and seat were occupied, and I can see why, looking around at the flowery, pink, dainty environment that makes it so perfect for parties of various sizes to indulge in really good food and fine tea service while chatting, catching up and/or celebrating a special occasion. I heard about Tea at 1024 over the years and never went before ownership changed for whatever reason, but I'm so happy that its legacy lives on with the new owners. You can feel the love that goes into their service. Note, charges are collected beforehand via credit card, which is fine. It actually makes your afternoon tea experience better because you don't have to think about cost, tipping, etc. while you enjoy your tea. You're just free to enjoy and then you are on your way! Tea at 1024 is a super cute and unique experience. It's tucked away in downtown Honolulu amongst other quirky shops and restaurants but fairly easy to get to. We attended for a birthday party tea party. They had us set up in the far back room at a nice long table. Their menu is limited for snacks but there were some great options for adults and littles alike. Overall I would say it was a nice spot but maybe not the best for a children's party. Some of the staff and guests in the restaurant were a bit unhappy with the noise coming from a bunch of young girls excited for their first tea party. We were also a bit disappointed that there were not enough tea cup party favors for all guests who were on the invite list. I celebrated a birthday here and Ruby and staff were so amazingly supportive and accommodating. I was able to make changes to the menu since we were renting out most of the restaurant. The sandwiches were on the sweet side, but the scones were delicious. They allowed you to take home any leftovers. I loved the feel of the restaurant and it made us all feel so girly and beautiful. Tea At 1024 on Nuuanu Ave is a small, cozy, attractive tea house to enjoy tea, of course, assorted tea sandwiches, petite sweets, and the very attractive decorations. The month of October was decorated with a Halloween theme of all kinds of spook. There are a variety of tea cups and saucers to choose from for your cups of hot tea. Their tea menu is quite extensive. The wait help, Molly, was very knowledgeable in explaining to us the ingredients of the teas we were interested in, which helped us immensely in choosing our tea. I chose raspberry lemonade herbal tea which was similar to lemon honey tea. It was good. I tried with sugar, good too. Then added cream. Hmm. No need cream. The cream diluted my tea taste. Two types of scones, tuxedo and chai, served with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The clotted cream was like a thick fluffy cloud of sweet but not too sweet. The strawberry jam was good too with or without the clotted cream. The tuxedo tasted chocolately good. The chai tasted just as it's name. Very good. House salad served in a china tea cup was so cute! It consisted of spinach, feta cheese, huge blueberries and sliced strawberries with a tangy dressing. My mouth is watering reflecting that dressing. The tea sandwiches included in our menu were delicious. Who can resist eating those dainty triangle and square shaped sandwiches? Tea sandwiches were served on beautiful china plates and placed on a tier. These were sweet bbq kalua pork, egg salad, cucumber with red pepper hummus, smoked salmon with dill creme, chicken curry with apples, and caprese skewer. The caprese skewer had baby tomatoes, spinach and mozarella cheese drizzled with balsamic vinegar. So refreshing. Dessert, called petite sweets, included s'mores tartlets with chocolate ganache and a toasted marshmallow on top, salted caramel cupcakes and pumpkin cookies. We were quite full from the sandwiches and the many cups of tea that we could only nibble samples of the desserts. The chocolate was very chocolately, the pumpkin cookie had a powerful pumpkin taste. However, the salted caramel cupcake taste was very faint. It could be because the other desserts overpowered the taste of the cupcake. The atmosphere of the tea house is quite mellow and relaxing even with other customers conversing. The tea house is well lighted. They have so many decorations, figurines, tea cups, tea pots, in the whole place. So many things to look at. They surely took the time and care to beautify. We stayed two hours. If allowed, I would have stayed another hour just to enjoy. Reservations are a must. They have a monthly menu and different options of tea time. We had the traditional afternoon tea. Parking is a bit of a challenge. There are street parking, pay the meter by coins or credit card. Or, park in the parking structure but that would be a bit of a walk. read more

This was just the perfect relaxing activity for our Easter Sunday afternoon. Very charming and cozy tea shop tucked away in the heart of Chinatown. Next to O'kims. Street parking only. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional. The two ladies working deserve a big shoutout for making our tea experience amazing. You start off by choosing your own tea cup off the wall area. I find this unique part of this tea shop as most places usually don't let you choose your own. I like that. Afternoon tea for 2! Located in a historic building from the late 1800's, this tea house exudes charm. "Traditional Afternoon tea includes their house salad, assorted tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream & jam and an assortment of petite sweets." Reservations must be prepaid. $78.41 total (Sales tax and 18% auto gratuity included)(2024) We went early and found street parking. Luckily, parking is free on Sundays. We were seated near the entrance and visible to anyone passing by the street. Can't say much about the food, but the lychee black tea was surprisingly tasty. I really enjoyed the ambiance. Grab your girl friend, grab those fascinators and go have some tea! This little shop offers a great place to make some memories while chit chatting with friends. The staff were helpful as they walked us through what to expect and had us go pick out our tea cups (there is such a cute variety of them). We each got to pick the tea we wanted and she came around and refilled the pot with hot water hence allowing us to sample each others tea. We each loved our tea so much that I purchased tea for everyone to take home with them. The salad was amazing, fresh and light. The sandwiches were not your typical sandwiches but I enjoyed them none the less as well as the pastries. Having attended other teas, this was one of my favorites so far. It's not a large spot so it's more intimate, the decor is lovely and the music being played helped tie in that we were ladies during tea time. A definite GO!!! read more

Amazingly cute and quaint place! I had no idea they have been around for 25 years! What they did with that little space is amazing. It instantly whisked you out of downtown Chinatown into a dollhouse when we crossed the threshold. 2 regular settings and 1 vegan for a midday Saturday was not crowded or crazy on streets or in the store. We got to pick out our own cups and then our tea. Then the salad came followed by the tiered tray with all of our savory and sweet treats. Sooo much food we actually had a hard time finishing it all. The vegan sitting was absolutely amazing. I really didn't expect much but they blew me away with their bbq jackfruit sandwich and amazing desserts. They could have gone simple but it really showed they put some heart into their menu. It was such a nice surprise. One thing to note - the price you see does not include the mandatory tip so don't be alarmed when the request to pay comes. But for us it was all worth it and I would most definitely do it again! read more

I looooove this place! Had my belated bday get together here with gfs and this place is amazing! It's super quaint and love the decor in there! Love all the tea pots and tea sets that they have. You can pick your own tea cup and tea that you want. I went with a raspberry rose black tea which was yummy. Loved their salad, mini scones and sweets, and mini sandwiches that they have! I reserved a tea session for 4 to celebrate the birthday of two beautiful women. This was the only place that I could find that did afternoon tea on a Monday. Great selection of tea, the sandwiches are delicious, and overall very fun atmosphere where we could all dress up. read more

On 11/1 myself and my bridal party came here for the first half of my bachelorette party. We loved it! The tea was delicious (my favorite was my own pick, the white tea with Sakura), with a ton of flavors to try from. When you come in for your party, you get to pick your tea cup and saucer (which was Halloween themed at the time) and a great way to start the experience. All the girls loved being able to pick their own set and seeing what each other picked. The food was pretty good! It was a lot of food, with plenty selection and so reasonable for the price.
