I love that this place is dog friendly!!! Food that we got was ok. We got their locomoco, cheese melt, magarita pizza those were just ok and thought a bit overpriced. But I'd come back for the coffee and ambiance! The place is open and next to the water. The service was quick and efficient. My pup even got a Treat!

We drive here especially to get the iced teas. They make the most incredible flavored iced teas here! They're located on the same property as Hawaiian Chip Company and getting an iced tea is the perfect way to kill time waiting for your fresh chips to be made, if you get roped into that, which we normally do, ha! We got mango and lychee iced teas, and both were inexpensive ($3.75 for a venti), flavorful, and delicious. Very sweet, fairly low on ice for more of that iced tea goodness! These pair perfectly with the salty chips. They're only open here Fri & Sat. Wish it was more often!

Hello Again is a cute little spot in Chinatown that's perfect for a quick matcha pick-me-up,…read morewhether you need to get some work done or just relax after strolling the neighborhood. They have small tables and cubicle-style setups with charging ports, so it's easy to settle in, sip, and work if you want. I came mainly to unwind and try a few of their matcha drinks. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. A fun touch is the cameras they place on the tables so you can snap photos of your drink, yourself, friends, or whatever. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the café and the matcha is decent for a quick fix. I'd definitely come back.

Liv was so delightful and clearly the right person for the job so I knew I was in the right place. In the meantime I ordered an iced coffee (which was delicious!!!!) and sat down and watched folks come and go. This is clearly a popular local coffee and snack shop so I will keep this place in mind since it's locally owned and operated and their decaf is processed via osmosis, not chemicals. The tables are usually taken so I just take my drink to go. I ordered a strawberry matcha drink on my first visit and a French Toast latte on my second visit. The second time I went, they didn't know how to make my drink so the girl had to read the ingredients that were listed on their own menu posted on the counter for customers. Maybe hardly anyone orders it or she was new and learning? It did take a while for me to get my coffee. The waiting area is quite small so there wasn't much room for me to go anywhere. Overall, the drinks have been good with a variety of seasonal drinks and specials as well. I'll probably return for my coffee fix as it seems to be one of the few coffee shops in the area open on Sundays. Happy Drinking!

I love the cozy Japan vibes of this cafe. It's small with limited seating so I recommend doing to-go but it would be nice to have a coffee date here. My bf & I got two drinks to-go -- the matcha latte & yuzu choco oat cold brew. We both really enjoyed our drinks. I also got two bottled drinks -- the ume iced tea & lilikoi lemonade which were also sooo yum. The worker let me sample these two which was nice. I enjoyed the bottled drinks a couple days later, it was a refreshing treat. The staff were friendly & it didn't take long for us to get our drinks. The only challenge may be finding parking as they have only a few stalls in front. We ended up parking a little up the street on the opposite side. It was a short walk to the cafe & well worth it! Will be stopping by again soon for my matcha & tea fix.

When we want the latter, we gravitate to Bread House on Maunakea Street. They offer a variety of pastries, some of Asian orientation like red bean buns, char siu bao, and more standard offerings like doughnuts, bread, and rolls. They offer some interesting savory pastries, including an onion roll, which is a light roll with pieces of onion and mayonnaise, some with hot dog or sausage incorporated into the roll, and some strange (to me) rolls with corn and tuna. They sometimes offer blueberry cream cheese scones ... These are delicious, but I haven't seen them offered in a while. My favorites include the onion roll and the chicken curry doughnut. The person running the register could be friendlier, and you need to ask for a bag, otherwise you'll be carrying individual bags of pastries back to your office. I'll give them a 4+ rating for their pastries and a 2.5 for their "friendly" service.
